I love the ice cream made here. It tastes rich and creamy, with generous servings. You can enjoy good flavors and in my opinion, without the sugar slapping you in the face or the unpleasant ice crystals of some others. There are many flavors but some classics we choose are; slightly mocha (their coffee version), strawberry (with real frozen strawberry pieces), oreo (nice chunks of chocolate cookie parts albeit a little softer than the actual oreo cookies), vanilla and of course chocolate but there’s certainly more!

Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Ice cream was delicious and portions were generous. Toppings (sprinkles) were overpriced, but the portion size of ice cream made it a decent value. Outdoor seating area was protected from the parking lot, which was nice for our family with small kids.

Lots of flavors. Staff is friendly and bilingual. Fair pricing.I must say my favorite part is that they have melted chocolate dip. And in more flavors than just chocolate. So good.

We love this place! We go for every special occasion. Its small and indoor seating is extremely limited, but there are outdoor tables. They have many options of ice cream, gelato, milkshakes, plus vegan, healthy, and non-dairy options. The service is always nice and the wares are always very delicious. Plus, gotta love their cow! Highly recommend.

If I could give them zero stars, I would!! They charge well over the listed price, with no explanation as to where the additional fees (an extra $3-$4) came from. I figured they were just “tipping” themselves. And, I would’ve been okay with that if the ice cream was actually decent, the service I received was okay, and the place was clean. But, none of that was the case.The two ice creams and 1 gelato we tried weren’t good at all. Prefer the gelato over the ice cream, but I wouldn’t buy it again. The place was not the cleanest, but the outside area was especially dirty. Customer service is nonexistent. The employees are allowed to treat patrons (including children) in a nasty, disrespectful manner, even while the manager is present. The guy taking our order sucked his teeth and told me he “can’t wait all day” for my 4 year old to decide what she wanted, because she asked to change her flavor, before he was even finished taking the rest of our orders. If you don’t have any patience for children, then maybe you shouldn’t work somewhere children love to frequent. Very unwelcoming environment. Terrible, start to finish.I wasn’t going to share my experience until I saw a poor review where a woman had a horrible experience the same day, and presumably with the same male employee at the counter. After reading the other negative reviews, it’s clear the manager and employee need to be fired or retrained. Customer service is literally your bread and butter. Do better!!

Just okay. Ehhhhh overpriced, stale sprinkles, okay ice cream. Probs get more bang for your buck picking up ice cream from the supermarket in my opinion.

If I could give it no stars I would. I used to love this place but the management and customer service of the employees went down hill. The disrespect that comes from the employees is ridiculous. The stereotypes and judgement they use, they shouldnt be in this type of job/career. If you cant treat your customers with respect you shouldnt be in business.

Extremely RUDE staff. Won’t be back.I went to Sunny Daes last night with friends for the first time. When I walked in there was a long line outside, and I noticed that a girl seemed to be by herself. I made a mental note of this and was glad I brought cash because it stinks to be working by yourself like that, and I wanted to be sure to leave a nice tip.She interrupted me as I was ordering and rudely said, “you could say please”. I was so taken aback because I had said, “please”. I was wearing a mask, and she may not have heard me. However, I have worked in the service industry…you do not get not expect that someone will say please and thank you. I repeated the word, “please”, got my ice cream and went outside as fast as I could. Had I not been with friends, I would have left right then and there.I’ll stick with Mr. Frosty’s in Norwalk. Great ice cream and a fantastic staff.

I enjoy going to sunny days about once a month. It is usually pretty busy around sunset and there is an adequate amount of parking. Its great to get an ice cream and then walk over to Cummings Beach. It is a little too pricey to go there more often.

I’ve been buying ice cream here for years. I won’t lie the ice cream here is good. I’ve never ordered a cake before. I placed an order for a hard ice cream cake. The lady working told me they only had 2 sizes $31 for the small and $37 for the larger size. I just went to pick up the cake and the total was $57 dollars. When I asked the girl who took the order If the image was extra she told me it was included. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. Then I told her how do I send the image she said email it. I’m very disappointed. The lady took the cake back and I have no cake for birthday. Yay.

This places always packed in the summer. It always has been I had been going there since I was 4 years old. Love that place but I can tell you the help and the quality of the help has gone downhill. Some of those kids in their have no idea how to make an ice cream cone and thats a shame.

The owner of the place seems professional but the wife is so rude and have no customer skills at all. My kids wanted ice cream, unfortunately I had our dog with us. First, there is no sign saying no dogs allowed. Second, In front of my kids she made a scene about the dog. Now, as the owner wife of this ice cream shop, I think the approach could have been more professional. On my way home my son asked me why was she so rude? Well, just because you own an ice cream shop doesnt mean you have to be so rude about it. By the way, she had a very cute little girl that wanted to pat the dog but guess what? boss lady didnt want to. I hope baby girl doesnt grow up rude and miserable like her mommy.

I came with a party of 10, not only were the prices of the ice cream not true to what they stated (never heard of ice cream store with hidden fees!! Not including taxes as fees). I took my sons yesterday (5/17) to buy ice cream as weve done numerous time. Yesterday was extremely crowded because of the nice weather. My son wanted sprinkles with his ice cream and when we got it and started eating we noticed the sprinkle had some chunks of peanuts. Now my son is allergic to nuts and had a severe reaction to it.I implore you to distance your peanut items away from other condiments as there are a lot of kids with nuts/tree nuts allergies.This ice cream store is our go-to; we dont dislike the ice cream or the environment but hated the experience.
