Worked with Amanda to remodel my kitchen ( backsplash) and 2 bathrooms( tile for walls & floors). Tile America has an amazing selection of tiles which is great but can be overwhelming. Amanda was like my personal designer and helped picked out fabulous tile. Even my contractor was impressed with the selection. It all came together perfectly and I LOVE how everything turned out. This is the place to go for excellent tile choices and professionals, like Amanda, that help with design.

Horrible experience with this location. The help we got from one of the Design Consultants was horrible. She was not personable, and the design consult basically consisted of links to products and pictures. She did not seem interested to help us out and did not want our business which was very odd. So much more to say, but will just never go back here in the future.We felt like we were being rushed, an inconvenience to them, and we ended up going to another smaller location, and spending much more that we probably would have at this location, but received such an amazing, professional, and worthwhile service with an ACTUAL DESIGN consultant who actually consulted and got us exactly what we were looking for and more!It is a shame they lost this business, and some of the other reviews are spot on with the exact experience we had!

My wife and I recently had our bathroom redone. We couldn’t have done it without the professional help of the staff at Tile America. Matt was a true pleasure to work with and always went well above and beyond to ensure that we as customers were happy with what we were buying. At the end of the day, my wife and I are very happy with our new bathroom. Thanks Tile America!They’re not the cheapest place to buy materials. But, in my opinion, they are the best place to buy materials.

I had a terrible experience with the store. My builders have used them a ton and asked me to go in to select the type of schluter I need for my shower and then place a special order since my ceiling height is tall. I walked in and one of the salesmen was very nice but the other one (found out later it was a manager!) was incredibly dismissive and rude. He told me placing a special order for a longer size wasn’t possible. I told him my builders had called ahead and checked a few times and that it was possible. He got irritated and bemoaned that he “shouldn’t have to deal with this”... I was confused but continued to be polite and told him what I was looking for. He called, asked availability of one color, and then hung up. He told me my color wasn’t available in a longer size and then accusingly asked me “what my problem was? Why can’t I do what everyone else does and just order the shorter size?” I was shocked that he was so aggressive and angry with a customer who was coming in. I was expecting him to ask about other colors or offer solutions. I am doubly shocked to find out he is a manager!! What a way to set an example for his two other employees who felt so uncomfortable watching it unfold. I don’t know why he acted that way, but I don’t believe in supporting businesses that treat customers in such a way. I said “I’m sorry for having bothered you. I’ll leave.” It was clear he didn’t want to help me from the moment I walked in, so I didn’t want to give him my business either. It also says a lot to me that the company has someone like that as a manager.

I went with my husband thinking we would just be looking and maybe find some things we like. Christine Fernandez was so great. She was so helpful that we wound up finding our perfect floor tile & backsplash tile.

The best & largest selection Ive seen by far in the area. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, getting me headed in the right direction for my big remodel!

Christine Fernandez at Stamford location is beyond amazing. Her knowledge and experience helped me to create the bathroom of our dreams. I then went back for more advice and design ideas because I trust her beyond! She knows how to match colors and stay within budget as well. Hands down best design person I have met through my entire home renovation.

Make sure you see Amanda!I recently went Tile America to look at tile options for the entryway of my house. It wasn’t the biggest of projects, but nonetheless an important one since it will be the first thing people see when they come into my home. Anyway, walking in I was greeted by Amanda who was very friendly, pleasant, and eager to help. After the introduction she understood exactly the statement I wanted to make with the tile in the entryway and showed me all excellent options. Perhaps her best quality was that she didn’t pressure me to pick the tile that day. She could tell I was conflicted with a couple of the options. In fact, she encouraged me to take home some tile samples of the different designs, see them in the space, and then decide. Amanda was also very responsive after our transaction. She kept me updated on the tile delivery. Asked if I needed help finding a tile installer (which I did because I am new to the CT area). You can really tell that customer satisfaction means something to Amanda. I never felt like I was dealing with a salesperson just trying to get a commission. I will definitely be going back to Amanda at Tile America for my future projects.

Randall made our experience picking out tile for several different rooms easy and fun. He was very knowledgeable and quickly gained our trust as someone who ho could steer us towards the right selections to achieve the look we were going for. My contractor sent me here to speak to Matt about tile for my master bathroom remodel. Matt was great about showing me different options and selections and didnt try to sell me on something super high-end if it wasnt what I was looking for. He gave me a ton of recommendations and I actually ended buying all my tile here. Would highly recommend. They work with you to get your delivery promptly and Matt was patient with me throughout the process. Would go back for future projects!

Were very happy with Tile America and have been using them for years. These guys are the best in the business and always have what we need in stock. The showroom is super nice and we always send our client to meet their designers and know theyll receive great service.

Randall always provides efficienty and good taste. He makes it fun and derstands your budget as though it was his own.

This is a fantastic place, with a huge selection of tiles and well-designed displays. What really stands out, however, is the helpfulness of the sales staff. We were doing a huge bathroom renovation project recently and couldnt have done it without the assistance of Linda and Mary. They spent many patient hours with us to help us design two bathrooms and pick out suitable tiles and grout. They made sure that the right items were delivered at the right time so that the work (which needed to be finished in three weeks) could proceed without interruption. Its hard to find such wonderful customer service these days!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, huge selection of in stock items, beautiful showroom, trade discounts!

Big tile showroom, tremendous variety. A bit more expensive than most of the competition. But watch out. If you are left with more than an extra box of tiles at end of your project, they wont take it back. This can add 15+% to your bill when you compare to the competition who will take back excess. I spent $3,500 on tile with these guys, and had $450 excess tile in unopened boxes, and they screwed me by not taking it back. I would avoid Tile America, they would rather stick you and maximize short term profits (Commission) than look long run and take care of the customer.

The manager, Ryan, was very rude. The staff in the showroom was busy on this Wednesday mid-afternoon so one of the saleswomen said I should go in the back and ask Ryan to help me. He seemed irritated that I was bothering him and told me that if everyone was busy I was just going to have to wait (despite the fact that he was doing nothing other than surfing the internet). I am doing a gut renovation for 3 bathrooms, and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere!

Salesman kept looking at his cell phone while working with us. And then he didn’t give us any quotes, and never responded us afterwards. Will never go there again.

Pleasant enough sales people and extensive show room but I had several problems.They shipped the wrong tile The tile shipped was not the tile we ordered and documents show it. Sales rep acknowledged their mistake but refused to credit us because and I quote your contractor should have detected the mistake before taking delivery. They eventually shipped the correct tile but it took over a week for the correct tile to arrive.Bad enough but they also shipped and charged us for tile we did not order (they substituted another tile w/o our knowledge) and refuse to credit us for that too!! After we made a few firm but polite calls we finally got the sales rep to say that a credit would be forthcoming (subject to management approval) but after several weeks of follow up calls still no credit. When we speak to the sales people about these issues you get the distinct impression of being BSd. My guess: Tile America is financially stressed. No wonder.So, look here but buy elsewhere.Edit: Credit for returned tiles finally given. Added back a star. Would have added back two stars but due to the length of time and pressure it took can only give them 2 stars. If you choose to buy here you need to be extremely careful.2nd Edit: Upon further reflection added a third star. The tile looks great. And I must credit the salesman who suggested ceramic instead of stone as we had originally wanted for the bathroom. Ceramic is much more resistant to moisture and is less expensive. Perfect for bathrooms and did I say it looks great? Very happy about his suggestion. Ok, some glitches, but overall, very happy with the end result.

Purchased tile for a new bathroom about 8 or 9 years ago here and had a very good experience. Returned earlier this year for a large project, 3 bathrooms, mud room, laundry room, and kitchen. Browsed around a little, finally approached someone to see if we could get some help. While she did help it was pretty apparent she was not interested or had better things to do. I thought the idea of thousands in sales would help her guide us along but she seemed frustrated that we didnt really know what we were looking for and eventually convinced us that we should come back. I would have expected some guidance on what the options were based on our price range, and the feedback we provided. Instead after rejecting a couple tile options we felt we were nothing more then an inconvenience being there.We obviously didnt return, ending up buying everything at a smaller local tile and marble shop where we received the type of help I would have expected and ended up spending more then initially planned.So while I would have previously recommended this place, I no longer can, they just seemed more interested in bigger jobs and other things.
