Wonderful food, great experience! The staff was so friendly and even offered us baklava before we left. I had the Chicken Tikka Bowl and tasted my friends Channa Bowl, both were amazing!! Clean, friendly, freshly cooked food! I cant wait to take advantage of their outdoor seating in spring!

My wife and I were driving though town and we were so pleasantly surprised by this little spot. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. We were served by the owner and she was super sweet- forgiving of my poor pronunciation of the dish’s names and full of suggestions for what was best to eat.If you are so lucky as to find yourself with the opportunity to eat here, please do. It’s 100% gold.

What a lovely place and community. I went tonight with two friends and it was all of our first time visiting. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. Our meals were delicious and the owner brought us each a piece of baklava as a treat. It was truly the best baklava I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back and recommend it! As a state college local, it’s terrific to have cafe alina in our town.

One of the best spot for Indian Punjabi style food. The concept of having this place in cafe style is appealing and food has very authentic taste too.They have a fewer options but all the available options are excellent.

This was my first time having Pakistani food and it was phenomenal. I am always grateful when people understand and are able to meet.my dietary restrictions. There wasnt a wide variety here that met that, but the food available was delicious. I ordered an appetizer that was filling enough for a meal.The real star of my experience was the chai tea. This is not at all like what most people are familiar with - it was prepared fresh, from scratch, which is about a 15 minute process. It was another 15 minutes before it was cool enough to drink. And it was well worth the wait. It was only mildly sweet with a rich flavor - authentic chai is such a great compared to the mass produced ones that are more commonly served.

Ive lived in State College for 10 years and this food by far has topped the other Indian cuisine restaurants in town. Portions were generous and food was well seasoned. I will definitely be coming back! I ordered the Chicken Karahi and Mango Lassi. Its a small business but it was not busy when I went. Dont sleep on this spot 😋

This place is usually pretty good and has some of the best south Asian food in state college but I absolutely hated my food today. For starters, they charge extra for rice(something that’s free when you order a dish at literally any Indian restaurant). I ordered the paneer karahi (my go-to) and was probably given 30-40% of the usual serving. The dish consisted of just paneer cubes and had like no gravy at all. The food was also incredibly salty and I couldn’t even finish half of what they gave me. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the lady at the counter was very nice. Thanks for making me waste $16…

I meant to review this place earlier. I was there about two weeks ago with a couple of my friends. It was their first time having this kind of food and trying out the hookah. It could have not went better. The food: amazing. The hookah: incredible. And most importantly the hospitality was amazing. The staff are some of the kindest in the area and I can’t wait to go back. A lot of food for a very fair price, and quite delicious. I highly recommend the chai tea, which is authentic chai made in-house. A real treat! We had another wonderful experience here, coming for breakfast! The Masala omelette isnt even on the menu, but they made it just for us, including a side and coffee/tea made just how we like it. Its just such a cozy and home-like experience, sitting and eating at the coffee table on the couch, even though were not Indian. A truly unique, tasty treat! Well definitely be back, and Im not even a fan of spicy food (though Im told the spicy omelette is amazing).

Hands down THE most authentic place in State College. Best mutton curry ever and student special was surprisingly filling. Modern interior is also a plus.

Delicious food, everything I ordered was really good. BBQ platter with Chapli kabab had all the authentic flavors. The wings were amazing, they were so tender that they melted as I chewed on them. I will recommend them if you are looking for authentic Pakistani food. I am going to try other stuff soon.

I didn’t know what good samosas were until I’ve had Cafe Alina’s. They are SO good! Authentic, home-cooked deliciousness!! I’ve never been so pleased by the flavors. The mango lassi is also TO DIE FOR. 10/10 will be back to get more!

This was hands-down the best Pakistani food I’ve ever had. The owner was so friendly and answered all my questions I had about the food. Being able to sit outside and eat was perfect too! The food is flavorful and colorful and beautifully presented! (I ate it too fast to take a picture.) I will absolutely be going back and trying the next couple items on the menu. Hello AllI visited one time to this restaurant . I do not know these people but i was very happy when I was searching on line about Pakistan restaurant to get impression like I m in my home. from outside place is very nice. I ordered chicken charge. it came with brown rice pilau. you wont believe brown rice already bad smelling and not good for people any more it was sticky. I saw they bring rice from back and put it into a microwave when I was waiting to order very first but I did not realize till it comes to my plate to understand what was going on. I asked them to make it little spicy but they have put too much chilly powder top of the chicken and it was super hot no one can eat. my only target was to eat chicken at least because rice is not good and that also failed due to high level of hotness. other thing I felt so bad, there was a old lady looks like Indian/Pakistan or Mexican bought chicken piece from her hand without putting a gloves even to kitchen side. when I asked a glass of water one boy was there said I ll bring but he never came to me back so I came out without drinking water. I never ever recommend this place to anyone because we all need to understand not to judge any place from out side where i made a mistake. to earn profit they serve bad food for people with nice arrangements. very unhappy

I went to Cafe Alina for the first time on a Sunday night. I was excited to go because there aren’t many restaurants like this in State College. I ordered the chicken kebab bowl. It was very good and the service was excellent. The owners of the restaurant also had a few moments to ask me how my meal was as well. They were very kind. They didn’t mind answering questions and talking a bit. I highly recommend you go here as soon as you get the chance!

Im from Pittsburgh and Im contemplating driving to State College just to eat here again. The use of all fresh ingredients, including freshly roasted and ground spices makes it the most delicious and authentic tasting Pakistani food Ive had. If you close your eyes, you can easily imagine yourself transported directly to one of Lahores storied food streets.

This is perhaps the most underrated restaurant in town -- maybe because most people havent heard of it. Ive been coming about once a week for the past month or so and have brought several friends and everyone is blown away by the food each time. The customer service is great -- the staff will give menu recommendations and are very accommodating. The chicken biryani is my favorite but everything Ive tried on the menu has been excellent.

The best chicken wings that I had in State College. The other dishes we tried were also really good. The staff are friendly and courteous. The only problem was they didnt have enough menus in the cafe. Overall: GREAT!

Located in the former location of Peace Love and Little Donuts, Cafe Alina may be off the beaten path, but its more than worth it! The food is excellent and the staff is helpful and friendly. We were even given a taste of their new homemade baklava which is fantastic as well! A must-try spot!

Wanted some authentic cusine and I came to the right place. Got the half chicken and loved every bite the portions are huge so had a second meal for later. Was a great venue and experience!

Such a great place! The food was great! Me and my friend loved it - we had the chicken bowl, and they made it to our specific requests (she wanted it more spicy and I didnt want it spicy at all).
