Nobody answers the phone so you have to leave a message and receive a return call a couple days later. Gentleman was helpful in determining what size bunk bed ladder I needed as a replacement (one of their standard sizes) and said it would be 3 months from ordering date which was 5/21/21. Surprisingly, I was billed that day for an item that wouldnt be made or shipped for 3 months. I left voice message on 8/6/21 and 8/10/21 to check on the status. During returned call I learned ladder wasnt in production yet so I told him we were expecting company the weekend of 9/24/21 and had to have the ladder. Assurances were given that I would have it. I called on 9/15/21, left voice message asking where my ladder was as I had been told Id receive an email advising me that it had been shipped. Carol called back, said it hadnt been made but they would now make it and ship on 9/20, priority mail. It shipped on 9/21 by priority mail and was received on 9/27/21, after our guests had come and gone. When I saw the ladder I could not believe that it wasnt made from in stock standard parts. rungs would be common for all ladders and it was one of their basic length ladders. We have assembled it and it appears to be very sturdy. Now we have to paint it. It took over four months...1/3 of a year. It should have arrived gold plated at that point!!!!! Dont use Room Doctor if you have a pressing need. If you want quality and dont care how long it takes and that they have your money all this time, they are good.

I first purchased the Mission Futon Frame back in 2012 while in school. The frame is made of unfinished wood so you can stain it how you like or keep it natural for a more rustic look. It has served well as a sofa and bed when needed. The futon has survived multiple moves around the country. It is constructed very well and is super sturdy, During my last move, I lost the hardware and directions needed to assemble the futon. I called the company to discuss my issue and the customer service was excellent. The gentleman I spoke with was super friendly and understanding. They sent me the necessary bolts and pins needed to assemble the futon. I recommend this company if you are looking for a great product!

The bed is beautiful and we absolutely love it. It smells like fresh solid wood with no chemical smell in it. The wait was very long and frustrating but if you don’t mind waiting 1,5 months or maybe more then this is totally worth it.

Well worth the wait!! Ordered a twin over futon bunk bed from Room Doctor in August and waited longer then originally told but it was definitely worth the wait. The bed is well constructed and very sturdy and my daughter absolutely loves it. Tom and Carol are also great people to deal with. Very helpful and friendly. Will recommend to all

SO IMPRESSED with the personal attention on a recent order! Every company is struggling through this COVID-19 crisis (e.g. supplies, inventory, etc). But the owners over-communicated and helped ensure that I would receive one of their products I needed prior to a key date. Sincerely appreciate their personal attention and help making/shipping in time.

Ordered an oak platform bed frame and couldn’t love it more. Feels literally uplifting, as it sits higher than your average bed. And you can feel the strength and support of the oak. If you’re looking for something high quality, handcrafted, nontoxic, affordable, and beautiful, this is it. The linseed oil stain is gorgeous and there is not an ounce of plastic anywhere in the setup—we’re talking just oak boards, natural stain, and steel screws. Very easy to set up too. It took awhile to ship, but craftsmanship is worth the wait, family businesses are precious, and Tom’s communications are excellent. Highly recommended.

Just picked up our loft bed and futon over the weekend after a very long wait due to Covid-19. All I can say is it was well worth the wait. John and Carol could not have been nicer throughout the entire process. I have seen a lot of negative post about the time it takes to get the order. If you dont want to wait go to IKEA or some store. The quality is amazing and so is the customer service. Any time I called for an update I was able to talk to either Carol or John. Just like anything if you have patience it is well worth it.

Just received the Queen Oak platform bed with extra slats upgrade and linseed oil. About 450$ with shipping and slats factored in and took about two months with a couple follow up calls/emails. They are very friendly and I never had any trouble getting in touch with them. They have a few bad reviews due to the wait time but to be fair they are upfront about it when you first order. Bed is solid wood and has that oaky smell to it.. looks better in person in my opinion than what I saw on the website. Setup is pretty easy.Only negative is long wait time requiring you to follow up on it and given the wait time I think they shouldnt require such a large deposit upfront.Definitely seems like a small family business run by mother and son so just keep that in mind when ordering..but you I think the value is great.

Nice people. I would just suggest they over promise and under deliver. Tell customers it will take 2 months and deliver in 6 weeks vs. telling them it will take 3 weeks and deliver in almost 6 weeks. My product is due to arrive tomorrow. I hope its awesome and I can move my 3 star to a 5 star.

Owner is disorganized and will not be honest with you. Beds are overpriced for what they are. Customer service is rude.

High quality bunk ladders. Easy to assemble. I had originally given less stars since it took so long to get (said 3 weeks, took almost 6), but they ended up shipping them overnight so Id received them in time to use for our out of town guests. I appreciated the willingness to get them to us and I was impressed with the quality.

Hard to initiate a refund. Had to report to BBB for refusing to refund me the full amount and cooperate with emailing. This business has an F BBB rating. DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS. Their other businesses, called Collegiate Furnishings, have been permanently closed, probably due to violating consumer protection laws like they continue to do. Typical Americans that make me want to puke. Funny how those who claim to be Christian display the most egregious, immoral behavior of anyone on Earth.

I purchased a great futon bed for my sons fraternity house room at Penn State. It has a cover that is washable and looks terrific, even after one year of heavy use. Great well-made product!

I needed a futon frame quickly to replace a damaged one in a vacation rental. I fully understand that sometimes these types of orders cannot be processed quickly. However the woman I spoke to at Room Doctor was extremely nice and offered to get assurances from the maker that the frame would be shipped early the following week.Two weeks later I called and was told by the same woman that these orders sometimes take 3 weeks to process. Needless to say I was upset and I told her to cancel my order. She offered instead to check with the maker again. She called back in a not so nice voice and informed me that it would be shipped tomorrow and hung up on me.I know that Room Doctor was probably not totally at fault for the delay in shipping this. However, I was given assurances on a shipping date that was not honored. I did not appreciate the manner I was treated.
