Weve been here many times over the years and love it. Great portions, variety, and value. Any topping you could want. Owner works hard, and its open many hours. Support your local business person not your corporate franchise.

Had my first acai bowl today and it was so good! Everything is so fresh in there, you can pick what you want on it, and the owner is so generous with the potions too! He gives you a lot for your money. I almost couldnt finish it in one sitting. Not only is it super healthy and makes you feel good about yourself after eating it, but it is so filling. I was still full hours later. I highly recommend this place.

This place is so good. I have read a lot of negative comments about this store. That’s why I was always hesitate to stop by. But don’t let them scare you! The owner seems a bit serious but he’s a nice guy, and I had a açaí bowl and it is amazing! The portion is LARGE I actually wished it wasn’t that much cause I couldn’t finish by myself! The store is clean (he wrapped each spoon with napkin, which I barely see anyone does that!) please stop by the place has the best smoothies in town!

This place has the best smoothies and cookie cakes in town! The decor could be spruced up a bit i guess but in terms of food and service it really cant be beat. You can choose any fruits you want for the smoothie and while I normally dont go for yogurt, there are tons of toppings here (get the cookie cake you wont be disappointed)

Fruit bowls are good but NEVER going back because the owner is extremely rude! Doesnt care at all about customer service and there are plenty of ratings here that say the same. Personally insulted by him, he definitely doesnt deserve my business and let alone anyone elses.

The shop owner(The male creature with the fat belly) is the worst server I’ve ever had during my 4-year stay in State college. The shop owner is impatient and told us to “Come here” multiple times, my mother ordered blueberry smoothie and this person told her that she can not have blueberry alone, or we can “Move along”. Worst restaurant ever, I truly wish you go out of buisiness soon.

I have known the owner for over 35 years. This gentleman is open 363 days a year for 13 hours a day and sometimes works later if needed. He is the only employee that I know of for all those hours opening and closing the business every day. Im not sure of his customer count per day but Im guessing its in the hundreds. This guy has a heart bigger than all of Nittany Valley and I have never seen him with out a smile on his face. For GODS sake his nick name is smiley! So put yourself in his shoes at his work place and tell me you could be at your best with every customer for over 4700 hours a year. He enjoys people and his customers are his family. If you dont believe me stop in and see for yourself and if he doesnt have a smile on his face the yogurt is on me.

With a veritable myriad of frozen desert choices in the state college area, one would think that a local businessman would do their very best to stand out from the competition, especially when the majority of that competition are corporations. That presupposes thought of the aforementioned businessman, of which, clearly he has none. Though my encounter with this man was brief, it has left a lasting impression that I will not soon forget. After a long afternoon walk with my dog, whom is also a service animal, I was in search of a place to get water. At the upper end of college, I walked by Yogurt Express and noticed that there were several rows of water bottles on display. I walked in expecting to purchase two bottles of water before going on my way. I was sublimely mistaken. Immediately I was greeted by the owner with He cant come in here. As though he was of an unacceptable race from a bygone era. I informed him that he was a service dog, I had his permits and I just wanted to get some water. I was met with further indignation I dont care, he cant come in here. I even offered to tie him outside until I could complete the transaction to which, I was with increased rage, outrightly refused service by the owner. I looked around the store and noticed it was empty on a hot afternoon. After a brief chuckle, I dismissed the owner with a wave of my hand and a salutatory Fine. We ended up walking two blocks down the street to Kiwi, where we were not only welcomed, they even gave my dog a small amount of yogurt as well. It is shameful that I cant even comment on the offerings from this store, which I would have gladly partaken in, had I been given the appropriate opportunity. I understand the mans plight for warding off customers who bring competitive business into his store, but truly it is remarkable that such a bitter, vitriolic individual has managed to remain in business as long as he has, especially considering that his shop is empty most of the time.

Good Yogurt, Bad Attitude. I used to love coming to Yogurt Express with my friends, for an acai bowl, filled with heaps of fresh berries, and even recommended it to others often. However, my last visit was absolutely horrific. I entered the shop, and because I hesitated a minute to describe what acai bowl to my first timer friend, I was insulted by the man working. He told me he had more important things to do than stand around and wait for me to order. The abuse continued as he shouted at me for ordering from the wrong end of the counter, even after I tried to explain it was difficult to hear him through the glass, and apologized for the delay. Keep in mind, my friends and I were the only costumers in line, we were not holding up business in anyway. Next, he insulted my intelligence because I did not follow him to the opposite side of the yogurt line to choose my fruit. I politely told him I had enough and was going elsewhere, after which he reassured me that he didnt need my business anyway. Me and my $10 I had prepared to spend on over priced yogurt left the cafe, nearly in tears. Please do not give your money to this man!

I visited Yogurt Express for the first time today. The man who served me was nice. Its possible that the others who reviewed this place had a different server. I wasnt too happy with my smoothie. It was way too thick for my taste. I barely tasted the fruit or protein that I added, I mostly tasted the yogurt. I know its called Yogurt Express but geesh! LOL Im having a hard time drinking this smoothie but I will finish it only because I paid for it. Im interested in buying a cookie cake for my parents anniversary. Maybe Ill have better luck with that.

Dirty/unorganized shop - rude worker.I had gone into Yogurt Express looking for something refreshing on a summer night and was taken back by the unclean look of the place, but what REALLY put the cherry on top of the cake was the gentlemen who was working behind the counter. He was an older gentlemen - owner/manager/work, I dont know - but he look tired, disheveled and just all around not approachable. Myself and my co-workers easily waited ten minutes in line (on a Monday night) to be served to which there were only four flavors - Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate yogurt. I was disappointed that he didnt have a refreshing tart flavor but I thought Id give it a try.I asked to sample strawberry - I didnt like it, too creamy. Then I asked to taste peanut butter when I was greeted with an abrupt NOPE, you can only sample one! very rudely. I did not like the strawberry and I was not going to pay for something I wasnt able to ensure that I liked.Lets just say that I will NOT be visiting this place again - too dirty looking and rude customer service.

The guy who runs the shop has anger issues. Every time I went to get a smoothie I tolerated him because State College is so limited on food options. However, today I went in and he started to yell at me for not standing directly in front of him as I was looking at the ice cream... the guy is a nut and doesnt deserve anyones business. I have no idea how he stays open. Do not go there. Terrible vibes! Subpar food!

The smoothies are delicious, but the man/owner who works here is incredibly rude. First off, he doesnt specify where the line is at all. I walked in and there was ONE girl waiting at the front of the register (which is where I assumed you ordered) and I proceeded to stand behind her. The man looked at me and said youre next, but clearly the girl in front of me was, and I told her she could go ahead. While I was telling her to go ahead, he rudely shouts at me saying CMON ITS NOT THAT HARD YOU GOTTA STAY IN LINE! Meanwhile 10 seconds prior to all of this, a girl came in and stood near the door and he yelled at her about where the line was too. She left instantly. PLEASE dont give your money to this man!

I went into this store with two of my friends this hot afternoon. We actually mistakenly went to Kiwi at first. So my friend and I figured while we were at kiwi, we would get some yogurt there not really knowing what Yogurt Express had to offer. My other friend still wanted Yogurt Express, so we went. Instead of waiting outside, since it was so hot, we went inside to give our friend company while she was ordering. The owner FLIPPED OUT! He told us to get out! That kiwi cups in his store are not welcomed. I thought he was joking, and asked if he was serious, he said absolutely! I tried to tell the guy that we were there with our friend, who was buying his yogurt and that we didnt even know this place existed, so we were checking it out. His anger exploded. My friend decided she was not ordering from this guy and we started to walk out. I asked him if he owned the store, he told me F*** YOU, LEAVE! We were SO shocked to be treated with such disrespect from an owner of a store. We left and went to Kiwi for more yogurt.

The owner was extremlely rude and saw me standing waiting for 5 minutes. Finally, I went down to where he was standing and he acted like I was stupid for not knowing that the line didn’t start where I was standing. He said “I was waiting for you to get off your phone. The line doesn’t even start there.” Awful awful experience. Would not go back.
