This is hands down THE BEST!! I cant even begin to tell you how many times Ive been screwed over by mechanics, but you already know how that feels. Classic is the only place Ive found that employs actual honest to god mechanics. They always go above and beyond to keep my family car safe. If your searching for a place to fix your car and your reading this, trust that I hate mechanics that try to swindle hard working people and classic would never.

When moving here from out of state, I was nervous to find a reliable car shop that didn’t try to up sell with every job. Haven’t been here in over 10 years with older vehicles in the past when the father-in-law still ran the place. Just went here to get an exhaust leak on my 2010 limited Taurus fixed. I told Gus I’d like the least expensive repair as we are trading vehicle in to a dealer come summer 2021. They said it’d be a day before they could look at it, sure no problem. As promised they called early afternoon the next day which happened to be a Friday and said it would be only $200 but couldn’t get it done til Monday. I said ok with the price and asked if there was anyway it could be done today I’d be grateful. With an hour to spare before they closed Gus called and said vehicle was ready. Needless to say we were there within 5 minutes paid the fee and drove away with a nice quiet car.Thank you so much Gus and Classic Automotive Repair!

I took my car to Classic Auto for a new alternator. When a took the car in the radio was on and when I picked up the car the radio was fried. They said its not their responsibility. It cost me $800 get my radio replaced. They said they couldn’t have shorted out the radio because they replace alternators all the time and couldn’t make that kind of mistake. Next step is small claims court.

Reliable auto service, been operating for 30 years. Steves one of the front desk guys, friendly and knowledgeable. These guys are honest and its what keeps them busy.No appointments. First come first serve. They open at 8 and basically are full up with work before 11, sometimes 10. And theyll call you with a quote before having to go into the labor. I live in Detroit, but I drive up to Sterling Heights here for any auto work. 5/5

I would recommend this place to anyone. I do not know too much about cars making me easy pickings for any mechanic who wants to charge me too much for something, but I have always felt I could trust these guys. I was sent here by other mechanics who said I needed a specific repair and these guys have checked it out and sometimes have told me that I dont even need those repairs when they could have just taken my money. We have been going here for over 25 years. Ive never had an issue or a complaint about the work or the cost of service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and wont rip you off. Weve gone in with engine light showing. Theyve run the codes and asked a few questions, did we have our oil changed recently? Yep! They took it into a bay, hoisted it up, reseated a loose wire to an oxygen sensor near where the oil filter is. Said it probably got knocked loose during the oil change. Cleared the code, brought it back out and said no charge. Ive had transmissions, a/c, brakes, etc... done here, I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Its very hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, and Im holding on to this one. We called for a second opinion on a clutch for a VW. Al took the time to call his parts distributer and call around to parts suppliers for other places. He even called a dealership to talk to their repair guys. He spent multiple hours working on a quote and getting information for a car that never even entered his shop. He was professional, honest and incredibly helpful the entire time. When I told him we were going to have it repaired where we already had it, he thanked me for calling, wished me luck, said he was happy to have been helpful, and gave me even more information he had gotten since the last time we talked. He was not only professional, but nice the entire time. He will be my first choice the next time I need anything done for either of my vehicles.

I had an issue with a chattering sound that even my girlfriend could hear, but they couldnt hear it! They thought that it was something else, and fixed that. When I picked up my vehicle, they told me to call if I heard it - I called in less than one mile. I told them what I thought the problem was, and another garage close by found the very same issue that I thought it to be! The second garage is fixing it now!HOW COULD THIS GARAGE HAVE 5 STARS?!

Classic has the lowest price around and they do a great job. Weve never had a problem with them.We started going there because we once had a vehicle towed to a local Tuffy shop and the prognosis from Tuffy was going to cost us over $800. Classics quote? $200!! They said over half the repairs Tuffy was saying needed to be done in fact did NOT need to be done.Its not super close to us but we will always make the drive out to them because their prices and customer service cannot be beat!Were a frequent flyer so if they established a program for people like us who are frequently having to visit, I would be even happier!
