Im not sure if i got a good deal or not, but they took our van in right away and did an excellent job. Ill definitely be going back there in the future.

One of the most incredible customer service experiences I’ve encountered. We were from out of town and the calipers were seizing. I called before noon and was told to bring the vehicle right in. After assessing the needed repair the shop began to call around for parts. The earliest they could find was next day delivery. Given our circumstance, and not being able to easily stay another day, they continued to search and found parts that could be delivered around 4:00 pmAlthough the shop was scheduled to close at 6:00 they stayed and completed my repairs shortly after 8:00 pmRather than say sorry about your luck this business inconvenienced themselves to assist an out of town customer.An estimated cost was given prior to beginning work and that was my final cost upon completion.I highly recommend Brakes XPress. Businesses like this are treasures that should be shared.

Theyll rip you off, massively under-quote what youll actually pay, take forever, break something and say it was already broken. You may be fine if youre ONLY coming for a brake pad change, just make sure everything else on your vehicle is in top shape or theyll charge you for fixing other stuff without you asking. Theyre interested in milking customers not helping them. Just look at how they respond to customers.

Been to this place on a few different occasions. Rob (the man @ the front desk) is nice & personable. The prices can be steep, but they do a very good job at fixing your car. Would recommend.

They are selling Groupons for $10 oil changes but will not honor them. I called and they told me to get my money back from Groupon and hung up on me. He said he was the cleaning guy. Total rip off. If the Groupon is no longer valid ( it is still being sold on Groupon), THEY NEED to contact Groupon, not me.

Im embarrassed to admit how much I paid for brakes and struts, Ive never felt so ripped-off in my life. And they couldnt have done a worse job installing the struts as I couldnt even drive it home because the front end was jumping around so bad. I had to stop at another repair shop to get an alignment just to get home. Please dont make the same mistake I did and take your vehicle ANYWHERE ELSE!

Tony is great at keeping the customer informed. My mini cooper needed spark plugs done and he called and coordinated with me whenever something happened. When the 3rd party supplier informed him that he couldnt get spark plugs I bought my own and Tony made sure I got my car back on time and I payed only for the labor. Great shop. Great service.

My car been there for a week and half, from oct 13-22 and the main issues still isn’t fix my car is stuck in park, they said it was the battery/ alternator- I had to get it towed to another shop. They kept saying it’s something else 👎🏽👎🏽

I went here to get my brakes repaired. I usually go to another shop but he didnt have anything for a couple days and my brakes were making a bad sound.I took it to Brakes Xpress and after an inspection they said it was the back brakes. No mention of the front brakes. Then the noise continues and coming back to their shop they say its the front brakes. I made mention it was pretty strange that a place that was an expert on brakes missed that.They gave me a discount and proceeded to fix them. Then a week later, the noise is back, with grinding. Another repair, time and money wasted.A few weeks and less than a few thousand miles later, noise is back. I called the owner, who said he would meet me halfway, that he understood it was frustrating, but he had to pay his guys, and so he pays for parts and I pay for labor.I disagreed, politely, and said I wanted my brakes fixed because thats what I paid for and 4 visits was too much. He concluded the call with a threat that I better watch my back. Then the other owner called and said they would fix it, as long as I didnt call the state or department of labor.Let me point out that my car was seen by a mechanic who is like family this entire process, because after the second time it was hard to trust them. He has been fixing cars his entire life and has never seen anything like this.They have now seen my car 6 or 7 times in 3 months or so and it is now worst than ever.This is absurdly dangerous. I cant afford to pay for brakes again, I already paid, and never got what I paid for.And when I ask for my brakes to be done correctly my life is threatened.So I tried texting the owner to ask, if he could pay for another mechanic to do it. Because a place that does brakes, and cant get it right in over 6 attempts does not deserve to be in business.They claimed multiple times it was a faulty part, well you stock those parts and this many repairs is too high to be an anomaly.

Great place with good and honest pricing. I’ve been in my fair share of auto shops, and I won’t go elsewhere anymore. No price gouging or trying to oversell you something. They do great work and they do it fast.

Rob the manager do not know how to talk to customers. I took my 2007 Cadillac CTS in for repairs and this is what happen. I took rob a print out diagnostic from Cadillac and ask if he could do the things that were on the paper. He told me to leave the car and he will let me know whats going on. He called back and said the car need some tlc. The car got a alternator, an oil pressure switch, bearing front and back sway bar links. The check engine light never went off. So i called several time so they could look at it and check why the light was on. I was told by rob and matt that the car was fine just put some carburetor gum out on the gas tank and that will fix it. I did that with my own money and stiil had the check engine light on. So after 1 month and 4 days my motor has blew. The total was right around 1900 bucks and they said they cant helo me at all or at least tell me why the motor blew. I talked to the owner mike who stated its not there fault that i bought a lemon. This is The WORST PLACE IN STERLING HEIGHTS TO GET YOUR CAR REPAIRED. I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO BRAKE EXPESS AND MORE IN STERLING HEIGHTS. EVEN THE MECHANIC THAT WORK ON MY CAR MATT SAID WE DID SOMETHING WRONH IF IT WAS MY SHOP I WOULD PUT YOU A NEW ENGINE IN. I THINK ITS TOTALLY UNFAIR THAT THEY CAN TAKE YOUR MONEY HALF DO YOUR CAR AND TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY OF THERE WORK.

It is refreshing to know great customer service is not a lost art. The people at Brakes Xpress and More are wonderful. Rob and his staff are genuinely courteous and professional!I got there early in the morning after dropping the kids off at school. I know I needed new brakes and was hoping it would be done before I had to work at 11. Well of course, that was NOT the case. I needed some other things done. Rob was extremely helpful and understanding explaining what I needed exactly and NOT and I repeat NOT quoting me an ungodly amount. It was an extremely reasonably price, honestly; after he told me what I needed to have done, I started to get very nervous expecting the worse.Knowing that it would take the better part of the afternoon he had one of the employees drive me to work and when it was finished he came back and picked me up.I am now a loyal customer and I would easily recommend them to my friends and family.It is always nice when you find an establishment that still places excellent customer service at the top of their list. They really exemplify this and set a great standard for taking care of the customer.

Went in for alignment and oil change. Was told they wouldnt do anything without calling me. They went ahead with the alignment without calling and then tried to charge me $30 more than what was discussed. This was adjusted after we spoke and I was able to pay what I was quoted.They were unable to give me the alignment numbers because the printer was broken so I just had to take their word for it.I checked my oil, they were almost a quart over filled. So I had to essentially redo my oil change myself. I was trying to avoid going under the car which is why I took it in and paid for it to be done.Dont be fooled by the Goodyear name like I was. Sad that I had to double check everything they did.

This place is wonderful. Theyre always willing to work with you and they always tell you the truth on if you should spend money to fix it or if youll be fine. Ill always trust them with my vehicle. On top of that they treat you like family. Much love for these guys.

Good Information on my car repair Rob Gordon AAA PLUS

The way my experience started is not the way it ended. I went in someone looked at my vehicle about 45 minutes or so, told me what was needed and not. Even wrote down the pricing and the items they said that I needed. When I went back it was a total different story. Price went from $650 to $1400 and the reason I was told is because they didnt really look at the vehicle well. Then after this display, told me they were sorry about the price shock. This was only said when I advised them not to do anything and I was coming to get it. Dear shop owners, price shock is not an effect. So in the future be HONEST with your customers and things wont seem so shady. As for now, NO, I would not recommend them.

He assisted me with pricing and for a girl with no credit got me approved for 1200$. I walked out paying 400$ for something that should have cost almost 600$. Definitely will be back!!

Tony at the front was SO slow. So rude answering other peoples questions WHILE dealing with me, as if I have all day. I was there first and he would take calls or other customer complaints. He even made fun of an older couple for asking HIM questions about their car, when he said they could just google it. He called my warranty company on my behalf and had the audacity to ask ME what was wrong with the car, when they are the ones who looked at and diagnosed my car with the issue it had. They were extremely slow and unhelpful. Its no wonder the place looks rundown. They are unprofessional, and I had problems with them years back too. Havent changed a bit. They need a serious customer service lesson and new staff, possibly. DO NOT GO HERE.

Caution! Beware!!! Took car in to get breaks fixed. Pick the car up drive it home and to work the next day and it feels wobbly so I call them and let them know. They tell me thats a weird and to make sure that the wheels are all tight and if the problem continues to bring it in. Check the wheels and the front wheels arent tight at all. I tighten em and the problem continues so i bring it in.They tell me that the struts are completely destroyed even though they were fine before! They wouldnt help me after that. I highly recommend going anywhere else.

Don’t read the reviews as I’m sure they’re written by the staff. My friend as well as myself have both had our cars serviced here. They will give you an estimate for one thing and then try to upsell you for multiple other things that don’t need to be replaced. My mechanic said that he has received multiple complaints about this place and that he would not refer ANYONE here for even a simple pad change. I went to have my pads/rotors replaced and while they got it on the lift, they said that it needed new tie rods. The tie rods were new so obviously they didn’t need replacing so I declined. They said they can’t take it off of the lift because it’s a hazard and that I would have to have it towed. But they said “it would just be easier and cheaper for us to fix it for you”. The police were called after they refused to take my car off of the lift. A year later and the “extremely worn” tie rods are still in new condition. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

Came in to get my brakes fixed a few days ago and the service was excellent! This was my first time coming here because I could not find a good brake place in my area and it was recommended by a friend. I was very pleased and it was the best service I have found in the Sterling Heights area. I will definitely be going there from now on anytime I have brake issues.

Had been driving my car that had clunks and grinding sounds on one wheel, brought it too a mechanic in the thumb who said it was my imagination. First I called up on a Wednesday to see if they could fit me in to put my tires on my car, the guy I talked to was more than confident that he could. I get up there and the employee at the front counter says theyre booked and it would take over 2 hours for something like that. So I go back Thursday morning and drop my car off before they open, they get it in and put the tires on without calling to even ask me how I wanted it done. So I get back there to find that my tires are on the opposite way that I wanted them. I go in to talk to someone about it and all he says is they assumed since the other were like that then I must have wanted those tires the same way. Instead of calling me to confirm, I left my number with them so it isnt like they had no way of contacting me. But hey, you know what they say about assuming. I talked to the guy and made it clear that I was unhappy and his only response was Well thats how I would want it if I were you. Im only 17, I feel like Ive been taken advantage of.UPDATE went back again, they are going to switch my tires out again for another $40, so basically theyll balance them for free. All said and done they were really nice this time around.

The guys who work here are incredibly nice. I went in to have my brakes done and they were more than helpful. They explained to me what exactly needed to be done and how much it would cost. It was more money than I had, so I told them I couldnt afford to get them done just yet. He explained to me that my car was in such horrible condition that he would feel terrible letting me drive off in such a dangerous car, so, without even meeting me prior to this time, he told me I could pay what I could, and pay the rest later. They worked on my car, and were extremely nice regardless of the fact I paid half of the total cost. They were so friendly, I WILL BE BACK for ANY other service I have simply because I can earn their trust to pay them in partial payments and their customer service is AMAZING. My car is so, so, so, so much better than what it was before I took it in. HIGHLY SATISFIED!

Was able to get same day service with a quick phone call and was even given Groupon pricing directly without needing to go through the purchase process. Brakes and rotors all the way around and a 90 day no interest financing option. Pretty good!

This place is a JOKE 3 Hours to change pads on commercial truck then told the caliper needed to be replaced & they told us they got the wrong pads. They had to go get right pads and caliper. While we waited another hour. Another hour to do the passenger side. Then the impact gun broke while putting passenger side wheel on. By this time they had already been paid. And its 8 pm. Needless to say having already been paid we had to return to have the drivers side done. Get there we are told we just ordered lunch. They pulled 2 cars into shop while we waited another 1 1/2 hours. I think they all need to put the crack pipe down and do their job

Beyond satisfied with the service I received at Brakes Xpress. I went in to have a leak checked out and the guys worked quickly to diagnosis the problem and worked even harder to find me the best deal. I have only taken my Jeep Commander to the dealership but I found a better place, with reasonable pricing, financing options and a One Stop Shop for all of my auto needs.

The person working there was incredibly rude and vulgar. He also continuesly lied about the parts he was installing and their price. The brake pads groupon offer online is fake and misleading, and the staff makes all sorts of excuses to justify manipulating the price.People working there should learn how to treat costumers with respect and conduct their business professionally, they should also learn how to act in a civilized manner when they get called out for shameless scamming. But until then, I recommend avoiding this place.

I called the day before I went in to ask about a groupon that I purchased. The guy told me I would need to spend an extra $30 for my brakes. I assumed this was because my brake pads were super expensive - not true. Several auto parts stores in the area had my brakes for about $30. The guy, Tony, that told me Id need to shell out an additional fee didnt need to charge extra.The whole point of groupon is to get a new customer in the door, give them a good deal and wow them with excellent service so theyll become a regular customer. Tony did not understand this.When I arrived at the shop, the guy behind the counter was talking to another guy. I wasnt acknowledged, not with a wave/ eye contact, nothing for ten minutes. My intention was to ask for a breakdown of the cost and then decide if I wanted to use the groupon or trade in.After the 10 minutes, I walked out the door. As I was leaving, the guy behind the counter asked do you need something, miss?My reply was no. No, I do not need anything from this shop; no, I will never return; no, I will most certainly not recommend this shop and I will be spreading this story about my experience.Ive never had a good experience with Goodyear shops. I gave this place a try, and it was a waste of my time.

The owner Michael is more than happy to help out with any of your auto needs and is willing to give discounts on your car parts that are never after market but brand new! I have been to brakes xpress for all of my auto repairs and I have never had a problem! The wait is never more than an hour for any repair. Well worth it

My experiences at Brakes express have not been anything but wonderful. They are very nice and friendly here. They truly care about their customers and fixing their cars. I take my car here to get work done because it is done quick and done right. You do not have to go back a week later because it is broke again. The owner Mike is very reasonable and understanding. I just want to thank them from the front desk to the garage workers they got me together I was two hours away two days Stranded they got my car fixed fast my car broke down in front of a different shop and they gave me the best quote so I drove to them and he got me together I’ve made it home safely and I just want to thank them for doing the extra which is the reason why my check engine light was on which was a little problem yeah I notice thanks for the eoa whatever it is I can push start my car again and they still took care of the major problem too so I just want to thank them for getting me home and working with my extended warranty

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !! Bought a brake pad groupon for $50 because I needed front pads. Typical bait and switch. After taking off the wheels and taking a quick peek they said my whole hardware was trashed and quoted me for $380 (pads, rotors, sliders and hardware (what other hardware?!?!)). Refused the service and they said they couldnt put pads only. Asked for my car back and they said I had to pay $89 as a check out fee. $89 just for a brake inspection is a complete SCAM and the reason why people mistrust mechanics and workshops, a shame.

I would definitely recommend this shop. Rok helped me with my car issues and was very knowledgeable as well.

Bought a Groupon for my brakes, saying it was $60 off normal price but when i got there, the normal price was the SAME that paid for the groupon. After they did my brakes and and told me that they did an alignment I left and found out that my jeep drove worse than before I took it there. No way they did an alignment on it when I had to hold the wheel 10 degrees to the left to go straight Waste of my time and money

It was the worst experience I have ever had. I had Brakes Express put on all new Brakes Rotors, and struts. Within one month everything they had done was making noise. Took my car over to the Ford dealer and had to have my front brakes redone because they put the wrong kind of brakes on. Went back to Brakes Express and they gave me the money back to pay Ford. Then another month later my struts started to make noise, took it back to ford, and they said they put on some cheap bolt on strut and when they did they screwed up the mount and boot. I had to have all new struts put on, went back to brakes express again they said they would not reimburse me and to take them to court. Then my rear brakes started making noise and just had to have them replaced!!! I would strongly recommend staying away from this hack joke of a so called repair shop!!!

It takes quite the skill to be this unprofessional, Im impressed this place is up and running and that it actually has some good reviews... they have a fun little groupon scam going for those who want to get blatantly ripped off.

The staff were all very friendly and after having a lot of brake issues taken care of in only a day, my car is driving better than it has been in years.

I brought my car here for an oil change. I expect the fluids to be topped off, including the windshield washer solvent, and the tires to be checked and filled with air. The tires were not done, the windshield solvent left empty and they charged me $26, because they wouldnt honor their online coupon which they say is expired, yet had no date on the website. If they cant perform an oil change correctly, Id be worried about any more complicated maintenance or repairs. Run away, run away fast!UPDATE.....Allen, the owner called me to apologize for the bad service I received at his shop and that he wished hed been there the day I came in. He offered me a complimentary oil change for next time.

These guys are just worst.. They say that they will change oil and do tire rotation for $36 and they just actually do oil change and that too for my car, they forgot to change the main engine oil. I was watching them of what they are doing and then I found that they did not change my engine oil which consumes good amount of oil compared to others, they came back and said that everything is done and pulled my car into parking space. I was totally surprised and reminded about the engine oil and then they took it back and changed the oil. This is terrible. Forget the tire rotation inspection. :( They have very very poor service
