Very disorganized and the shoe dept was an absolute disaster. Empty boxes stacked in the shelves and the shoes thrown everywhere. I am not sure what the staff was exactly doing but good lord, get a plan in place, management team.

Gotta say, Maryam S and Shreri really bailed me out. After trying to find the mens department of Macy’s which is apparently on the other side of this mall in Sterling Heights or wherever I’m at, and could not, I made my way into JC Penny’s after hours. The ladies at the counter did not understand the severity of my need. These two ladies came up, were more understanding and sold me what I needed.Thank you two ladies! KUDOS!!Old fashioned customer service. Y’all need to shop here!

I was a little disappointed at the Sales Clerk at the jewelry counter. She was hesitant to assist yet helpful from a distance. She asked if she could assist my daughter and I. I told her what we were looking for in earrings.She pointed in the direction of the counter they were located at. That was is??? Guess she didnt want my business.We left went to MJ Diamonds and the Sales Clerk was amazing. She acknowledge us before 6ft and began asking questions on how to assist us before we even approached the counter. She showed us options and wasnt afraid to be friendly. Well, lets just say we purchased jewelry from her. When I mentioned to her I loved how smoothed the ink pen glided when signing the cc receipt, she told me I could have it. Now that is customer service!!!

Their prices are great when there is a sale AND you use a coupon. Bought jeans, shorts and summer shirts for my 16 year old Tall son. They have a good selection and although like other places, staff is lean. The store was clean and organized and the staff is always nice and helpful!!!

Lines were incredibly slow, barely anyone working there. Only one woman was able to help us and actually knew what she was doing.

To make the story short I love JCPENNEY

Love the hair salon at JC Penny Lakeside I have been using Zane for the past couple years she corrected a bad hair color that I had gotten from another salon in the area. Zane takes her time making sure the color covered through-out & we always have a nice chat. I picked up some cool products for smoothing my hair and a leave in rinse cant wait to try! I really am glad to see this JCPenney still in operation after others have closed. The ground floor is the second level and you can take an elevator down to the first. Very early 70s vibe like many of the stores in this region. The mall entrance is very aged looking with leather seated areas and odd metal fixtures. Everything dark stone and rustic. I hope they keep it as is and preserve the architecture of this time period as sadly this mall like others has a lot of empty stores.

Went to JC Penny looking for a sterling silver chain. The sales person at Lakeside, Kellie, was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I found just what I wanted and a great sale too!!

Ordered two items from JC Penney. One item was ready at pickup in less than an hour. The other item was shipped to the store in less than five days. Gotta love that efficiency. BTW The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. I recommend JC Penney and will order from them again.

The crusty old lady that works in returns just implied that I stole a jacket I bought yesterday. I even cited who was the clerk yesterday and told them the fitting room was closed and had a huge mirror placed in front of it. I am a medical professional and being treated like a lowly felon that would steal is unsettling. I will not be coming back. You deserve to be bankrupt

So much more professional than the optical dept in oakland mall . Raheema the optical manager was awesome. I recommend this optical department at JCPenney for any of your eyeglass needs shes very knowledgeable.

Best place to buy young adult clothing and good shoe deals during off season. Sizes Re also true to size.not just limited to small people/women. I always thought they were really expensive until I tried them. Clearence rack is always best.Love them.

Great place for a lot of stuffs. Amazing deals during Thanksgiving Time. I try to grab door buster deals here every year. Even if i do not have something in mind, just a walkthrough would tempt to buy things just by the price tag. Return policy is decent too. I recommend

JC Penney is still the best place for guys to try on and purchase real Levi jeans now that Sears is gone. They also have a great selection of other brand jeans and denim clothes. The problem I have is with their dress shirts. Im looking for the regular ones I always use to get that were a good cotton linen with seven buttons that were a little more rugged and looked and felt a little more casual but comfortable. I couldnt find them, and the ones I found the prices were too high. The shirts that looked fairly good were $60, appeared to be like they were $30 shirts, but were supposed to be on sale buy one get one free. Just seemed like another regular deal. The merchandise was in good order and there was plenty of selection of products. The selection in the appliance section is limited featuring the in-house brand heavily. Since there are no reviews of the Cooks brand, it is hard to compare with the regular name brands. I dont think the Industrial Look remodel was successful here, and navigating the store is not very good.

The staff is ALWAYS so helpful! The store has improved its organization and cleanliness in the past year. Im thankful for the upswing in attention to neatness, it makes the shopping experience so much nicer!

This was a nice JCPenney, locate in the mall. They had so many sales going on, I was glad that I stopped in. We were looking for boots all over the mall, and JCPenney had the best quality and the best price. It was a large store and was very nice, neat and organized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This JCPenney is located at the Lakeside Mall, so it is very handy to go to if you have other things to look for also.

Only 2 customer service places on upper level. Customers were yelling for help and long lines because they had good sales. I had just removed my clothes to try on items and all the lights went out. Elderly couple on escalater were saved from fall by caring person from force when no electricity. Nice clothes coming in but bad experience.

JC Penny photos is the best! They are way more affordable then going to a normal photographer plus they know how to get the best out of the kids they take photos off. They are all great but Barb is who we just had this past weekend and our photos are amazing! They put out coupons regularly so watch for those but even at full price its a deal for what you get.

We arrived early so the check out area was staffed and ready. Associate was pleasant to deal with. Store recovery on Tuesday night was very poor, but the time of year consideration would be in order. Great experience. We were approached by a sales associate in case we needed help, another plus. Shop the malls folks, they need their jobs.

This is my go to store for blue jeans, workout clothes and household goods. Just hope they dont close this store. I actually find what I usually am looking for. Staff and customer service is always helpful.

Good clothing lines, big selection. Walked in to return a shirt . Walked up to register where I was the only customer and the cashier quickly told me returns was down stairs, so I proceeded down stairs and started looking for it when a sale person asked me if she could help me, when I told her returns and she said I can do that for you. ??? Guess u can do it at registers too. Just dont tell the cashier up stairs.

Wonderful department store. Buy clothes there. Good prices plus they mail out coupons. They have a lot of other things like appliances, shoes, purses, lingerie, etc.

The Pennys at Lakeside mall is a full size store. With everything you would expect at a dept store. I like the menswear casual wear and dress wear. Nice suits always on sale currently 50 percent off. They now carry appliances too.

KimMarie is a wonderful hairstylist. I love coming to her to have my hair done. I I always get a wonderful job.

The karts are horrible but the employees are very kind and helpful. If you have an baby in an infant carrier/car seat you have to carry your child while pushing the cart because the karts are too small to place the car seat in the basket of the kart. If going with a baby I suggest using a wrap to attach your baby to your body. Other than that the place was clean and everyone was very helpful.

Well my visit there was not the best. Because I do not like being followed and watched. Instead of asking me if I needed help finding something. The place was a mess and I was not able to find what I was looking for. It was not stocked properly, I needed Undershirts for a lil girl.

If you time your visit right, you can get great sales prices. I just picked up a sport coat for $30 (down from original price of $200). Associates I have dealt with are always friendly. Never had a problem returning items, either.
