We went here for the first time last week. This place was absolutely amazing. We tried lots of things and everything we had was delicious! I also got ice cream! And their flavors were soooo good! I got Oreo and Nutella on a waffle cone. It was so good. We also got a few other traditional Arabic desserts. Their cakes look sooo good. I will most definitely be returning. They have a nice sit down restaurant style where they serve Arabic coffee and you can pick from the hundreds of pastries that they have available. I highly recommend stopping here and if your coming here I would go next door to Ishtar the Iraqi Arabic restaurant next door. There food is the best I have ever had! Always delicious and have been quite a few times now. We drive over a hour and a half just to come down here and visit these two places. Most definitely worth it!!

Great selection of sweets, cakes, Baklava’s, and Ice-cream. Always a lively place with wide variety of choices. Baklava’s are delicious in taste.Kinder Joy cake was so dry and like a bread. Tiramisu was nice and so the Pie’s. Ice-cream was good too. But coffee was average.Overall post lock down it was an decent experience.

Do not go there......This use to be a wonderful place. It down the drain now. Service is horrible. Employees are erigant and treat customers as slaves. No respect.Do not buy their Baklava. I paid $12 per pound for old desert. I had a feeling she is giving me old baklava as it was torn on the top.. when I confronted the serving lady, she acted was erigant. Still she managed to put old baklava in my tray. Tasted it at home, it was truly old walnut baklava.Shame Mrs owner. You cared for your business, your food, and your service when you first opened. Now your business is established you let it go down.To the owner replyI have given you a 5 star before when you deserve it before..Take care of your customers and do NOT sell old deserts for $12 a pound. Purchased a couple trays of The green pistachio baklava as I usually get. But today the ghee(oil) was too much and smelled so strong. Either it’s bad or they added too much of it I called and complained the lady said they vary on each tray they cook. ?? Don’t you have specific ingredients you go by? Not to mention more than 5 people tried it and said the same. Smelled and tasted funky like feta cheese. Lady didn’t even want to say I can exchange it or have credit for a future purchase was rude and not polite. And said what am I supposed to do. Now you lost a repetitive customer.

They weigh all the sweets and wont put any tags on them. Your bill will have only the total. Only god knows how much they overcharged you.

I came into this place and was greeted by this bodybuilder named fadi, he was very nice and treated me with great customer service and handled my order accordingly and gracefully. He must be the best worker there because he told me he makes all the ice cream. Just wanted to add that he carried me and my order on his back out to my car.

The best, BEST baklava Ive ever had. So fresh and perfect. Their customer service is above and beyond as well. Ill be a long time customer. Very satisfied.

I’m gonna write this review because I loved this place a lot and workers there are very nice and they help you right away, especially a worker name Fadi .I ordered a crepe tray with different flavors from there, and he did a great job to make the best crepe in town.He also make the best bubble waffle, I don’t have pictures for it because I eat it right and it was so good.Thank you Fadi so much for making the best crepe and the best service you provide me ❤️😊

I dont think Ive ever been to the bakery itself but I purchased Palm Sweets baklava from Kroger recently and I CHIPPED MY TOOTH ON THE FIRST BITE.As it turned out, the first 3 pieces my girlfriend and I tried to eat were RIDDLED WITH WALNUT SHELL FRAGMENTS so we gave up on it. God only knows what dangers lurk in the remainder of that baklava tray.I thought it was a good deal for just $10 from Kroger, but I guess you get what you pay for 🤷‍♂️NEVER buying any product from Palm Sweets again.

Presentation is good and the place is clean. Staff is generally friendly. Prices are outrageously expensive. I got 4 pieces of cake and three other PIECES of pastry for $32. Never again

Very nice sweet and dessert place in Sterling Heights. I actually was surprised how clean, organized, and comfortable the atmosphere and seating area are. Very friendly staff and has a huge variety of desserts such as Baklava, fingers and kenafa. He have a coffee and Ice cream bars as well as cafes of many flavors and toppings. I enjoyed my experience here and definitely will be back. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing experience. Their ice cream is delicious. The girl named stella was so sweet and deserves a big tip. She was so helpful and willing to help with anything with a kind heart.

So regardless the fact that food and beverages there are delicious but service is very important factor to make a business successful.90% of the staff are extremely unprofessional and rude.I have been there many times and its getting worse and worse.I also noticed unfortunately treat customers differently depending on their origins.What a shame great products served by this crew.

Pistachio baklava tasted like bad feta cheese I had to spit it out. Plus expensive.

Got a caramel cake coated with chocolate instead of a chocolate cake. This is despite asking multiple times to confirm it was a chocolate cake. No clear sign to say what kind of cake. People who I got it for were disappointed.

Worst experience ever! Raghad was the lady that serviced us and she was very rude. She kept rolling her eyes at us. I really regret buying the sweets we had picked. We should of just left because her behavior was unacceptable. I hope management take this review seriously and talk to their workers because it was a very uncomfortable experience. I also want to add that the sweets were soft and not crunchy like usual.

How is this place not 5 stars??? Delicious coffees and pastries! This is almost an hour from my house but so worth the drive. Everything tastes great, the people are incredibly kind, and its super clean.

During our order, one of staff let a lady cut in front of us, ignoring the fact that we was on the line. They didn’t tell us that the bubble cone had Nutella in it, so how are people like me who are allergic to peanuts going to know that until after ! The staff was rude, kept on accusing us of giving the wrong order ! We also order two crepes and took over 45 minutes to get one out and they didn’t even give the second crepe, they just gave us a banana split only. Horrible staff, disorganized team, won’t ever go again !! FARHAT SWEET IS WAYYY BETTER

Oh. My. God. We actually stopped here on accident, we passed the place we were looking for: BEST MISTAKE EVER!! This place is so amazing, visually stunning as soon as you walk in, and my friend got me a whole platter of desserts, and every single one was absolute heavenly. They have a huge selection of baklava type things, best I’ve ever had, and the cannoli was pretty much the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life.. and I waited like 2 weeks to eat it. I’m telling you, you will not regret a visit! the cakes are drop dead gorgeous, someone better get me one for my birthday!!

I had to wait an hour for my food for some reason and I asked for it to be take out but they made it dine in that wasn’t the problem what bothered me is that they blamed me for not telling them it was take out which I did but they wasn’t paying attention because they was taking other orders. This is one of the best pastry and sweets shop in the Nation, and by far the best Iraqi one.We heard stories about many items that we must try then we visited Palms sweets for the first time lately and we were amazed by the quality, taste and hospitality of the store staff. Rude staff and unsanitary conditions in the display shelves . The products looked questionable for human consumption in the display cases . This place went downhill and used to get deserts once a week but will no longer patronizing this establishment . Sad experience!No ulterior motives in response to the owner’s comments and would also like to add they have loiterers hanging out that are sketchy at best . Felt unsafe ! Avoid this place unless you want to walk by smokers coming in the spot and they allow smoking on the patio . Just not a good vibe whatsoever. If you want to see a cannoli sweating in the display case and never seen that before? This place is for you . Disgusting!

Yesterday I purchased 1 mocha chocolate cake $4 slice (old and dry) and $15 worth of cookies taste 5 days old.3 Stars because $4.75 tarimisu slice and carrot walnut cardamom dessert was amazing and fresh.

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go! Not only is it full of amazing confections of multiple varieties, but the service was also fantastic! This is probably my favorite dessert/sweets facility in the entire state of Michigan, including Mackinac Island!

I will never order from this place again. I ordered a birthday Minion cake for my boys birthday and when I called to pick it up they could not locate my order. After searching for it for a while they told me they found it but it wont be done until the end of the day while the birthday party was planned to start at 5 pm. When I picked up the cake and opened it it was not anything like the picture I sent them. They did not include any of the decorations from the picture but instead bought 4 small minion figurines and placed them on the cake. When I asked them why they did not make the minion figures as shown in the picture I was told that they did not know how. No one mentioned that to me when I ordered the cake and showed them the picture. On top of that the cake was completely frozen when I cut into it to pass to my guests and the frosting was literally just butter. Like I said I will never order a birthday cake from here again. I was so disappointed at how everything played out.

Wonderful place to spend time with family, especially during covid. Outdoor space was well-kept and spacious, atmosphere was incredible. The indoor space did not have many social distancing measures in place.

This place has the worst employees. They do not pay attention to the customer when she/he is ordering. One of the ladies that works there was scooping me ice cream and I asked for a medium and she continued to scoop it in a mini cup. When I told her three times that she got the size wrong she totally ignored me and asked me to pay. There are many places that serve and treat their customers better than this place. It’s not worth wasting your money here. Also this place is not following COVID guideline, the place is very pact and no one is standing 6 feet apart!

Everything is over priced. The cake is dry and tastes like a cheep quality cake mix that is decorated nicely, it is rather bread other than cake.I found a hair in the cheese cake.Ice cream is good. Middleasten sweets are good too.

I love going to Ishtar for kababs and noticed this place next to it. I normally avoid sweets since i find them too sweet.I decided to get a 7 inch chocolate pistachio custard cake for a friends birthday which was nothing short of amazing and with the right amount of sweetness.I have also tried the pistachio rosewater ice cream which is pretty good too.

This place is owned and operated by a former partner of the famed Shatila in Dearborn. The seeets are excellent here but don’t live to the standards of the original place, however, the Kenafa is prepared very well, and as cheese filled as possible. I strongly recommend this place. The ice cream that’s available is also very good, along with he gelato.

I like to come here after I finish my lunch at Ishtar restaurant. Last time I have tried the kash kash sweet. 😋

Went in a few weeks ago and picked up 4 of the small cakes. Although they looked delicious, 2 of the 4 were dry and the kids wouldnt eat them. I normally dont like really sweat frosting but I thought it couldve used more sugar. The coconut frosting hardly had flavor. Disappointed since they were around $5 a piece.

Food is really good but this place is not maintaining social distancing at all. The place was over crowded last time I went.. there were no guidelines to customers to stand at a distance from others. They’re not be responsible for what customers do but some lady was grabbing my bag for me to give to me.. wearing a mask is not enough.. they need to place stickers on the floors to tell people to stand at a distance.. I’m pretty sure there were a lot more then 50 people at a time inside this store..

I tried their pistachio ice cream, the white one, that you can tell there is no food color in it. .The other one is greener than grass and you would think as if there were no pistachios in it..The taste of ice creams were great. But, I would like it better with a little more cream in it.They offer lots of different baklavas and many different sweets and desserts. Their sitting are is nice for enjoying your dessert with out friends and family.

We go there a lot, at least once a week. there individual cakes is hit or miss when it comes to freshness. They’re are at least $4 a piece individually which is fine if they’re fresh. I recently ordered 9 cakes which was $36 and they said they were fresh but they were really dry. I understand business isn’t busy right now with everything going on but don’t tell customers they’re fresh and they are not. Won’t be going there again anytime soon 🙁🤦🏻‍♀️👎🏻🎂

Everything was well kept, food was good. Service was terrible. My boyfriend was served, I tried to order with him...nope. They cashed him out and instead of helping me (next person in line) they avoided eye contact and started helping the man behind me. The women ignored me and it wasn’t until they had absolutely no one else to service (20 minutes later) that a lady was told to help the ‘white girl’. I enjoy the culture, I enjoy the food the culture brings, but because I was white I wasn’t good enough to indulge. I won’t be going back.
