Having great food is half the experience, the other half is good service. He needs to change or they need to have someone else with a more friendlier face. My drinks taste just a little more sour knowing I had to interact with him to get them.I want to give 5 stars, but something has to change. I still highly recommend everyone try them out.

Bambu is a favorite for my daughter and I. The food is always fresh and it’s super tasty. The drinks are amazing too. Sometimes I’ll get more than one 😂I will continue to frequent this establishment!

We drove an hour to visit this place and try some Vietnamese treats. The staff here was very attentive and flexible with our requests. We got 3 different che drinks a milk Cafe and 2 classic sandwiches. The drinks survived the 1 hour drive back and still tasted very nicely. I wish they were closer so I could try the other options.

This place is becoming a regular weekend spot. She gets the boba tea, I get the Vietnamese coffee, and neither of us have been disappointed yet!

Been several times and each time there is long dark hair in the food. The food is really good until you get the hair which is gross! if they start wearing hair nets I will go back otherwise I cant.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I placed an order over the phone, and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I show up 15 minutes later, and the food is not read. Not only that, but they had to retake my order because apparently they didnt take it down over the phone. I waited there for over 20 minutes waiting for my food to be cooked. I spotted a bag of food on the counter, but I assumed it was for another order because no one told me that it was ready, and I was sitting right there. Finally they tell me that that bag of food that has been sitting there for over 10 minutes is my food. When I told them that it has been sitting there for a very long time, they did not offer to remake the food even though clearly by this time it had gotten cold. I didnt even bother asking because I was not going to wait another twenty minutes for them to do their job. They have awful customer service. And after I got home, I realized they didnt even pack the sauce with the food. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been to Bambu a few times before earlier this year, and the boba milk tea I bought before was great, as well as the customer service. Today’s visit was lackluster and unsatisfactory. First, the man taking our order today made a mistake and gave us milk tea when we said no milk. Mistakes happen, but when we asked if we should pay for it, he said nothing and just glared at us. He yelled at the employees in the back as well. The matcha bubble tea I got had only a very faint matcha taste, and the boba was too chewy and overcooked. The customer service has degraded tremendously, as well as the quality of the bubble tea. I’m not sure if there is new management, but I would look elsewhere for bubble tea.

Their tea is delicious. I recommend the honeydew milk tea with lychee bubble, but you cant go wrong here. Fast and friendly service too! Definitely one of my favorite boba tea spots in Suffolk County.

I recently visited Bambu _which serves vietnamese food in Stonybrook. When you Google this place the description is misleading as it says it is a dessert shop. It is so much more. There are Bahn mi sandwiches, rice bowls, vermicelli bowls, wings vietnamese style and fries in addition to an assortment of teas with many different toppings. I had the pleasure of trying the Bahn mi spicy style rib eye sandwich and it was delicious and very spicy. It lived up to my expectations. My daughter had the spicy mayo, chicken rice bowl. That was phenomenal. This business is owned by a mom and pop and had authentic flavors. The front desk service was exceptional. The server was beyond helpful and friendly to every customer that came in. We also tried the teas and those were amazing. I will be going back there again. It is not very pricey and you get more than enough food. Kid/family friendly. Bathroom available and wheel chair accessible. Had maybe 6 tables. Very clean and inviting.

Drinks are great but customer service is so terrible! :( The guy who works at the front never says anything close to being friendly and is a bit rude to customers. Place has potential to be great if that is worked on.

Great Vietnamese coffee. The shaved ice is also amazing and perfect to share. I think this is probably my favorite little spot to eat near this area in Stony Brook.

Eh 2 stars because the drink was fine but the missing 3 stars are because of how bad the customer service is. Just went on a busy Saturday and the guy at the register made the experience terrible; rushed through the order and entered it incorrectly, made me feel super unwelcome as if it was a BOTHER that I was spending money at his establishment. My drink was not what I ordered but I felt too uncomfortable by him to say anything.

Most definitely worth the drive for me. i always get mango fruit tea with strawberry popping boba and i love it. the steak bahn mi is amazing as well, just thinking about it makes me hungry.

BBQ pork and steak bahn mi are delicious. Rice and vermicelli bowls are good too. Love trying different drinks when I come. My kids love the smoothies! You can call ahead to order.

The food was stale. The milk tea tasted like it was expired and I got stomachaches for the rest of the day. The cashier was mad at me for being early to pick up my order and had a really bad attitude - glaring at me and not answering, sighing, etc. Horrible service. Idk whats their problem and even though I just got there, they brought out my order immediately like its been sitting there for a long time. Felt really unwelcomed.

Went there a few times for the boba and chai teas. Tonight we ordered a few Bahn-Mi sandwiches and spring rolls and were blown away with how good they were. Definitely a new regular takeout spot for my family

Nice location with a Friendly Staff. Easy to see right off of Nesconsett Highway in Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheel chair accessible entrance. Unisex Bathroom. Great for bubble tea. Also for Bahn Mi sandwiches and other light Vietnamese Snacks. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.

Purchased bubble tea here many times, drinks are hit and miss. Some days its good and other days its ehhhh .. the only thing that is consistent is the terrible attitude. Maybe this is part of their culture that is widely accepted among them, but its kind of strange to me.

So glad I found them.Different varieties of boba and jelly.They also have bahn mi which are pretty good, not as good as the ones in the city.Nice clean spot to sit w friends.

Probably the best Bahn Mi on Long Island. I had the chicken and the bbq pork, both very delicious. Bread was toasted perfectly. I also had a chicken rice bowl and it was very good as well with very tender pieces of chicken and nicely loaded. The only thing is make sure you call it in at least 20 min before picking up.

Good service many options to pick of their teas are great as well as their smoothies and one of the must try is their Waffle takes a bit longer on the wait due to that the Waffle its made fresh on the spot. I highly recommend Bambu for sure! Every time Im around Lake Grove I always stop by for my usual Passion Fruit boba tea. (FYI most of their teas taste like green tea with whatever flavor you picked)

I love their ribeye steak Bahn mi! What is so refreshing are the cucumbers and the cilantro in the sandwich! the I also really like the Pandan waffle, Bahn mi fries and their Guava smoothie!!

During these rough times you can see a lot in a business like how they care about there costumers & employee’s. I went in for an ice coffee today and they were friendly & did and excellent job of being cautious and sanitary. You can tell everything was very clean. They had hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes & cleaner available at the front. We kept our distance & the moment they took the order they put a new pair of gloves on & took great care in making the drink. After I left I was getting things together in my car & I saw from the window they were sanitizing everything that I could have came into contact with. It’s just nice to see a small place that’s probably going through a rough time doing everything to keep themselves and their costumers safe. PLEASE, if your hesitating going into some of these places right now know that at this location they are doing a great job!

Just tried this place and they have a great selection of drinks and really good boba! Its hard to find good boba, so glad I found this place! If you havent tried, check it out. Its in a great location and easy to find.

When I first went here, I did not expect it to be that good, but it exceeded my expectations! My go-to drink is the hazelnut milk tea with pudding and it is absolutely amazing. The pudding is homemade and is the best pudding I’ve had. The hazelnut flavor is also very unique; I have never seen it done at other boba stores. There are so many different toppings like pandan and lychee popping bubbles! It is also pretty cheap. The Vietnamese food at Bambu was also delicious. I especially love the vermicelli and banh mi. I highly recommend this place!

The choices here are not familiar. The staff is sensitive to this and makes you comfortable while they explain how the menu works. The ambiance is comfortable. I love the jasmine tea with milk and coffee jelly.

This place is definitely a guilty pleasure. Excellent bubble tea, and their egg banh mi is also good (though the smell is a little strange at first). Their dessert drinks are pretty extravagant.

My favorite drink spot! Everything is delicious. My go to is the Bambu Special and the rib eye banh mi. Hope they expand to a larger food menu. Everyone is super nice and helpful and the place is spacious and clean. Great place to hang with friends or sit and study.

I come here too much. I love their bubble tea and they have a bg variety of toppings. The toppings I usually get are lychee jelly and red tapioca. The food is extremely good too. My favorite would have be the summer rolls

Ive been frequenting Bambu since they opened a few years back.Awesome selection of bubble tea and other drinks! They even added rose (milk) tea and wintermelon (milk) tea as options, which you should try if you havent yet!While its a bubble tea spot, the banh mi loaded fries are amazing: the fries are always fresh and crunchy. The summer rolls are also a sizable and fairly-priced option. I could go on (pandan waffle, shaved ice, etc) but TLDR; just go there, its great.

The staff is super welcoming and very accommodating for first timers. The boba itself is always made fresh and the tea always leaves you with a warm feeling, even if its cold. Definitely recommend!

I used to live in Queens and I fell in love with my local bubble tea places lychee bubble tea. Since moving 5 years ago, I have struggled to find a nice lychee bubble tea elsewhere (even after trying dozens of places in NYC, NJ, Long Island). Bambu serves an awesome lychee bubble tea that reminds me of my Astoria favorite, which has since closed. I absolutely love it. The thai iced tea with bubbles is really tasty too. Consistently good and quick service. Cannot rate the food as I really dislike Vietnamese food.

Great tea and desert drink options. Delicious sandwiches and a unique house version of loaded fries. Sometimes messes up orders but not a big deal as its an easy fix.
