It was okay, wasnt planning on buying anything but got a great deal. I was happy that most of the people were wearing masks and social distancing. The employees were very friendly and checking people out as fast as they could and thanking us for being there.
Great sales and discounts applied to merchandise. Well managed location, very clean & extremely friendly staff. 4 Stars due to some of their clothing appeared to be a bit outdated and matronly in the womens department. Otherwise, good place to shop for gifts like jewelry.
On two occasions I have had a bad experience with this store specifically with a cashier who refuses to scan the discount coupons that come to me through my email. This day we went again and he passed the scan once and he said it does not work and we asked him to try again and yes it happened. be careful with this lady is in this photo.
This location is very organized, employees are so kind!! I was greeted right away in the section I was shopping in, they had exactly what I was looking for and checkout was a breeze! Highly recommend this location!!

Fitting room in lingerie wasnt open. Sale pricing was confusing. Didnt have to wait in line as long as I expected. The cashier was very helpful

Restrooms are Horrible -All dispensers are either completely broken, empty, or RIPPED clean off the walls! I spoke to Supervisor and she made No effort to get the Needed paper products for the stalls!! None!Couldnt care Less! Picked up my online order, the clerk was courteous and very efficient.
I heard one of my favorite stores was closing its doors and rushed over last week to find that this particular one wont close anytime soon! My kid loves their brands and we love the prices. Penneys sure needs more check out stations cuz the lines were dreadful

Dont buy any appliances from this place! They lie to you! Assoc: 0495 told us you are going to get black stainless delivered to your address it was supposed to on sale! We went to other stores and we liked this one black stainless. So we purchased it, the day of the delivery I was in shock! I called JCPenney for an answer and after explained the whole mess they did, they said we are going to cancel the order... and hang up, called back again and a lady tried to get me to a mayor appliance rep. He answered and hang up. They are liars! So we lost other good refrigerators we saw for a good price because we trusted JCPenney will be good! We thought we should give them out business. When something isnt convenient for them they just dont care about customers. When you order something you expect it to be what you wanted, not what was best for them. I wouldnt even give them 1 star! Awesome! Got some school uniform pants as a gift? So I had no Receipt. However Michelle and Edith were truly exceptional. With outstanding customer satisfaction. Parking is usually not an issue . That is a big plus when going to a mall . And this particular store is an anchor store to the mall. I usually go to the Jcpenney.com service desk And its always busy but Theyre courteous and fast

Came here looking for a prom dress for my daughter. Not a huge selection, but prices were great, store was organized, and the fitting rooms were open and clean!

Awesome experience shopping at JCP first colony mall this evening. A pair of cargoes was marked twice the online price. I brought them to the counter and discussed about the online price. Mr. Dino was very kind to go all the way to the back of the store and check if the product was on sale. He came back and said it was on sale for 50%. The dockers shirt was on sale too. On top of that he offered me the mystery coupon, which I was not aware of. I shopped for a few more items. The coupons along with the rewards was a great deal! If he had not gone that extra mile to go all the way to the back of the store and check if the pants were on sale, I would not have bought anything from there. People like Mr. Dino continue to make JC Penney a great place to shop. Best customer service experience ever! Thank you, Mr. Dino!

I really liked this JCPenney. It was clean and bright. I had staff ask me a few times if I needed help but it was not so much that I felt it was intrusive.I did find that the spacing was not always easy to navigate but that could be my sense of direction as well.I also found the bathrooms to be really clean which kind of surprised me but obviously in a good way, maybe they will start turning around.I didnt end up buying at this store but would come back for other times when I need a new outfit.

Do you know what is humiliating? I will avoid shopping at this location for the rest of my life.Only came here twice, satisfied with the price and the product. But there was an Asian cashier that was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes on me when she saw the clearance shirt I bought. Then she threw away the price tag and went back to the shelf to check if that was the real price. She even told another cashier she thought that might not be the right price. But after she checked the system on the computer, she realized that was actually the right price. Then she sticked the price tag back. Without saying anything about leaving the counter without a word, or suspecting me as a thief.After a few months passed, this was still a pain whenever I think about the name of JCPenney. Please fire her. Thanks.
Awful experience for myself and my 2020 grad today at JC Penny. Today my son and I went to return/exchange bedding purchased as graduation gifts shared from family in a different state. I thought the exchange would be simple....someone bought my kid the standard extra long twin, I just need to exchange for a full size since he will actually be in an apartment instead of the dorms. Exact same brand, exact same comforter.....simple right? Wrong!! The kid helping me in the Home/bedding section was really doing everything in his power to help me. But The moment he called a supervisor over for assistance in how to code the exchange in the system things went terribly wrong. I was utterly dismayed at the lack of empathy this woman who is supposed to be a leader of people in a customer service capacity showed for us. Admittedly I was there Without a receipt attempting to exchange a XL twin comforter for a full. Simple, in my mind I’d pay the difference between fully s XL twin and I’d be on my way. Well that’s not exactly how it worked. The supervisor quoted the JC Penny policy to only exchange for the lowest price sold i. The last 45 days. So this means what should have been simple exchange was going to cost me nearly the full price of the gift. Regardless of my attempts to explain “ma’am it was a graduation gift,” her only response was I should have a gift receipt. Yes I’m sure what family was thinking of when they purchased everything in XL twin. (Sarcasm) in all my years of working with customers I have never seen a manager arrive with such lack of empathy for the customer. My son was clearly upset and didn’t understand why I was having to pay again for what was already paid for as a gift. As if 2020 seniors haven’t suffered enough, thanks JC Penny for making it even more difficult to manage this Covid pandemic as a new incoming freshman. I for one am so disappointed I have spent so much money over the years supporting a company that treats customers this way. Again my issue remains unresolved. So now I’m left to jump they hoops and backtrack with family members to try and find a receipt so my son can get his comforter without us having to basically repay for the gift they purchased in good faith. Damn JC Penny I expect so much more! Please train your supervisors to make exceptions where necessary. What’s the purpose of an override if ur not going to use it to make it easier for customers to do business with you.
This location was very nice and well organized. There was plenty of merchandise and a great sale going on. The only problem I found was they did not have enough salespeople. There was no one at an immediate department to ask questions to. You had to go to a service desk in the center of each floor for assistance, which made you wait in line for your turn, when all you wanted was to have a question answered about something you were looking for on that floor.
Good choices in clothing especially Jeans and casual tops by Anna. Bed sets are great but you have to transport it yourself. That sucks. Comforter set are beautiful and well priced. Love shopping there.
This is a good place to visit if youre looking to buy quick and get out. It is easy to find what youre looking for here. The staff is very helpful if you ever need someone to direct you into a certain area or if youre looking for a certain product theyre much help. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to go quick shopping for items of clothing, etc.
Went in today there is alot of great sales found something I liked wasnt sure of the price so went to the counter . actually stood in the area where you wait in line. There was a lady there. She was looking in a white binder. She had the longest red nails Ive ever seen. Anyway she was very rude. She did not acknowledge me at all she just slammed the book and walked away. So unprofessional!. So a gentleman walked up and helped me he was very nice. His name was Armando. Great job!
I went in 5 oclock on Sunday night of tax free weekend looking for uniform clothes for my son. I was able to find 2 pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of pants. I was surprised they had so much stock left. I give them 4 stars because with only 4 cashiers I stood in line longer than it took me to find the pants and shorts.

I usually order online and pick up at this store. From what I can tell from my various visits, the place is pretty clean and organized. Of course, theres always a mess after big sales days (i.e, that whole week before Christmas) but the employees at this store seem to do a great job in getting things back to order as soon as possible.As for the pick up and return experience. Its not the fastest nor is it the slowest but customer service is polite and attentive. Theres a tall, black gentleman wearing glasses who is usually there. Hes very good at his job. He makes sure everyone is acknowledged, apologizes for long lines, and is generally very pleasant. When hes there, I notice that the customers in line seem less disgruntled.
My daughter and I were very pleased with the service that we received. Started out in the salon and we met 2 of the nicest women there that helped us with our purchase. We then made our way to the childrens section where we each made a purchase. Once again the lady who checked us out was so kind and patient. After looking around the mall we made our way back to your store, this time in the womens section. She asked for assistance and the young lady was so kind and helpful. So many times you ask for help and people act as if you are bothering them but not today. The lady who checked us out was just wonderful. We were so appreciative of the customer service that we got from everyone. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Very big store and well stocked. Some prices are a bit excessive but that is what you can expect from stores at the mall. A lot of parking and well organized and stocked.
Good shopping experience
I picked up my online order and had a pretty lengthy wait time because they were short staffed. What made the difference was the customer service. The cashiers apologized for the wait and kept us engaged with small talk until we were serviced. In spite of, it was still a pleasant experience.

Picked up my online order at curbside. Checked in thru email and after waited for 15 minutes at the designated parking spot for curbside pick up, I had to call the store to check on the status. Turns out they didn’t even know I have checked in and was there waiting.

Absolutely INCOMPETENT Store & StaffOn a Saturday I went to try out mattresses at this location. There was no one anywhere close to me on the sales floor. No one to answer any questions. Every employee was tied up at a cash register. I found a mattress on sale I liked listed for $699.I tried calling a few times a few days later. I talked with the operator and left a message for the Mattress Sales Associate. In reality this associate is being stretched in multiple departments. I left my name and number and wasnt called back even a few hours later. I had to try calling several more times before I finally connected with someone.When I finally did connect with an associate, the mattress was now $1500+ just 3-4 days later! Imagine that.. They even claimed in their system at no point was it ever listed at $699. I offered to text/email the picture so they could see it. They said it wasnt possible.After I said I wasnt interested they said if I came into the store MAYBE we could work something out. I said obviously that I wanted to know the REAL price before I wasted any more time with these people.Long story short I will be buying my mattress elsewhere. Never shopping here again.

Went to photo center for pictures. Had an appointment at 11:15, and waited until at least 12:15. Kids (twins age 4 and a 2 year old) were so done waiting and they were hungry because it was past lunch. that it was very difficult to get good photos. Super frustrated about it.
Its a JCPenney like every other one. Good size and good selection. I like that I can buy on line and return to the store if need be. Pleanty of parking and easy access to from hey 59. Access from outside or the indoor mall First Colony. I need long reviews for credit do if you got this far in my looking review please hit like and laugh. 🤣

We wanted to buy some children clothes which were on sale, 40% off. Went to two separate checkout counters and both clerks said they were not on sale. We said the sign next to the rack said they were 40% off. They said the sale was over a few days ago, but they forgot to take the sale sign off. We told the clerks there was no date for sale end shown on the signs. The sale clerks refused to check the signs and would not want to give the advertised sale price. We then went to a third counter and this time the computer terminal there showed the correct sale price after 40% discount. It took more than half an hour to checkout 2 pieces if clothing! Very poor customer service. Would not want to shop at JC Penney any more.
Have to hunt thru the clothes for a good deal and right size.
Went in to get a color match to try a new brand of makeup, and was told to shop elsewhere.
