We had a great experience here ! The owner is very engaging and so is the staff. I recommend the pakistani milk tea or kashmiri chai. We did not try the food but the tea was definitely worth the hype ! The owner was nice enough to direct us to a proper dessert to enjoy with our tea, so when their just ask him and he will lead you to one of the best pakistani desserts in the whole line of food trucks !

This place is absolutely amazing! i love their chai and their nutella paratha is delicious! the aloo paratha and bun kabab is great as well! this special is the chicken corn soup and it’s definitely great for the cold weather! the staff is so kind and they are super motivated!

Was visiting from Kansas. On my first day he was closing early but with good hospitality hooked it up with a free chai. Visited on Friday had the anday wala burger it was 🔥. Good service and food.

Ordered bun kabas, rolls and chai. Ahsan was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make us fresh chai and food. Aside from the food being delicious, the experience helped made it even better. We will keep coming back!

Had the regular and masala chai, and both were excellent. Nice and kadak.Also tried the anday waala bun kabob, which was excellent. The chutney is always the key ingredient in bun kabobs and here it was just right.Will be coming back soon.

Poor customer service. We were waiting in line before another customer behind us. We let them go ahead and when we came, the guy simply said they are closed even though he saw us waiting in line and the time was before their posted close time...simply unprofessional.

A very good place. Owner is very nice. Only thing is depending on the time, your order can take longer then he says. So better if you call and order ahead. First time I had sandwich; it was good but a bit too salty. Maybe accident so will try again and see how it goes. Tea is good too.

Highway 6 location:Kashmiri Chai it was nice few month back. I have tried yesterday but it was disaster Kashmiri chai. How come this Kashmiri chai 4 dollars. This is not worth even dollar.

I went here and had a very nice time with wonderful chai and great service as well fast and convenient ! Also my friend abdollah was very pleased with the beautiful scenery of the rocks in this environment.

More like Bakwaas Chai Wala... Couple of sips and everyone through the cups away. Having chaiwala in your name says thats your main product, you dont serve teabag chai. Its supposed to be properly made. Its just tea bags in hot water. Just that the price makes it feel like you should like the tea and thats probably why everyone writes raving reviews. I would suggest go to a McDonalds for tea, itll be the same if not better unfortunately but at least its only a dollar so not as wasteful.

The gentleman suggested the bun kabab and I was intrigued by the garlic Mayo roll(chicken) too. I got all three and an aloo parata. (I shared with my family.) Wow. Simply, wow. The food was so tasty and not in a -throw a bunch of spices in - way. I savored every ingredient and no one element was too much. Perfectly balanced. This is definitely going to be my go to for a quick and quality meal. Austin Chai Wala, thank you for parking in Houston/Sugarland/Richmond!

Glad I stumbled upon this place. The owner was so nice and I got almost everything upon recommendation. The highlights for me: the chickpea samosa plate, homemade lasagna, Nutella iced coffee, and the Kashmiri chai. Perfect!

I dont know where the negative feedback is coming from. The doodh Patti chai, desi coffee, masala fries and bun kabab reminds you of Karachi pakistan. Ahsan bhai takes pride in what he does and for sure does a wonderful job not only to maintain the taste but customer service is top notch. Amazing food and never a disappointment. We wanted to try something different, we ordered masala chai and kashmiri chai.Seriously, you guys should stop making kashmiri chai. It was horrendous, and same goes for the masala chai.One sip and we threw both chai away. Drove to our regular spot to have tandoori chai.For a spot just marketing and selling chai, you guys should be on top of your game.1 star is for the customer service and fries.

We went to this truck for the first time after lot of recommendation. We tried Kashmiri Chai and Dodh pati. The both tea was not at all fresh, may be my bad luck. I will give them one more chance next time.

This truck was a little hard to find but totally worth it! Its behind a shell gas station fyi. I went on a cold day and ordered the Kashmiri chai which was so delicious. It was freshly made and the pistachios on top just made the drink even better!

I tried their Bun Kabab for the first Time. It didnt pass my Vibe. It was way over priced for a little Bun Kababs. They should reevaluate their Prices and work on the Bun kabab recipe. Not going there again.

I went to Austin with my friends a couple of weeks ago and we went to this place on our trip, their chai was incredible and i highly recommend this place to anyone.

I love the chai, my wife loves the coffee, and we all love the Nutella Paratha!We did also try the bun-kabab last time and it was really tasty!My only complaint is they are not always there when we go, so if you cant get through to them on the phone, save yourself the trip until you can. We always drop by when we are in the area.

Tasted like powder tea. Sketchy looking dude smoking hookah on the side. Slow service. Really disappointed.

Just ordered Kashmiri chai from here. Had a very very very bad experience. I will never suggest anyone to have this Kashmiri again. Please guys don’t waste $4 on this kind of chai. We ordered around 7 teas and I feel like we have wasted our money. Thank you. I appreciate.

Awesome customer service and awesome chai! We had the dhood patti and my husband had a nutella paratha. We stumbled upon the location after attending a wedding nearby and it was the best end to the night.

Went to the one in Austin- excellent Kashmiri chai and happy to find out about the location in Houston. Hours say 6- midnight but got there at 9:15pm on a Saturday and lights off and no one in sight. No one picked up phone either. Please post correct hours.

Came to Austin Chai Wala after dinner with my husband and had doodh patti chai for the second time from here. It was SO good and piping hot. It really hit the spot. The staff/owners are very nice!

This review is for the new truck in Sugar Land. Horrible Kashmiri chai :( it was dark brown and tasted like sugar and water. He barely put any nuts in. And the fact that he didnt put a cover on the cup made it impossible to hold the hot cup.

First time I went to the Houston location after visiting the original one in Austin. I had to drive around to the back of Cafe Yasmin’s parking lot and I eventually found the truck. My friend and I ordered Masala Chai which was about $3 a cup. The gentleman who ran the food truck told us that they also had Bun Kababs as a special this weekend. We stuck with just the chai and when it was time to pay, my friend was like “no no I got it, it’s your birthday!” The gentleman overheard us arguing and was like “oh it’s your birthday? The chai is on me!” He gave me a free cup even though I politely refused and said it was no big deal. Exceptional service, great chai as usual! Hopefully, I’ll return to try their Bun Kababs!

Overpriced and the Kashmiri Chai had no flavor. Its shocking, as their truck name states they can make chai. I wouldnt come back here again. The customer service was fantastic.
