My absolute favorite coffee shop in the world. The owner is amazing, the coffee is ALWAYS good, a great selection of Mad Hat teas (Holy Detox, anyone?), and plenty of space to sit outside. Dont miss this place.

Ive got a system for testing coffee at places: order an Americano, no sugar, no cream, nothing. Metro passed this test with flying colors. Theyre with Tacomas dumb law against straws, though, so they give you this flimsy straw made of what appears to be a dried reed. Predictably, the reed shattered in my cup.4.5 stars out of 5.

Must try the peanut butter breve cappuccino. This place is a hidden treasure, the good vibes all over the place.

Holy smokes, this place was unbelievable. Im traveling across the country, and Im glad I stumbled across this gem. First things first, the interior of this place is gorgeous and full of natural light. I really loved the Dutch wooden shoes on the walls and decorations.We were greeted by very friendly staff and seated immediately at the cutest table. Our waitress was so sweet and helped us figure out the menu.

Upon walking in to the coffee shop one will notice warm earthy walls, local artist on display, bicycles, and a unicycle hanging in various locations. The owner makes an effort to talk to each customer aside from the usual What can I make for you today? The coffee is amazing, and they serve various pastries and teas as well. I find that this non-chain coffee shop makes the others pale in comparison. If you stick around to drink your coffee in house you may notice an additional peculiar decoration/theme. This place is very unique and it wouldnt hurt to stop by.

Love it here! great prices and great variety. quaint little coffee shop, super warm and inviting. always happy to go here, the only drawback is the weekend closures which makes sense since it’s on campus, still a bummer though.

My favorite coffee shop in Tacoma, totally feels like a family run place, not like most other corporate or hipster places. This place is authentic and totally unpretentious. Also really like going there to work from home the vibe is always so so cozy and comfortable. The coffee is really good too.

Cozy and warm! The Lavender Latte and Salted Caramel Cold Brew are both hands-down the best in the area.

Sorry to say, I had high hopes based on the reviews and I was very disappointed by this place. The place had a stench of dog urine. Furniture was really bad, like chairs with chewed up handles. The dining tables were not bad. They were clean to sit on. I regret ordering a pastry because it felt like a lump of dough. I had to leave within 10 minutes because I couldnt stand the smell. In my opinion, this is the worst coffee place I have been to in my life. I am giving it 2 stars because it had WIFI and coffee as promised. The service was not unfriendly.

Metro has the best coffee in walking distance from the UW Tacoma campus, bar none. Consistent, smooth espresso and black coffee. Staff is always friendly as well. You really cant go wrong.

The workers are always friendly. I have never gotten a bad cup of coffee. At peak times, there is a slight wait but it is expected and they still pump out the coffee super fast.

Hidden gem of a coffee shop. Worth crossing the UWT campus to get to it. Fantastic beverages with reasonable prices and a cozy eclectic ambiance. Plus the employees have been 100% awesome through the years.

Coffee is very bitter and burnt tasting, we have e tried several times with ordering different coffees bit no go. Also, pastries are dry and Flavorless.

Really friendly baristas, and I like the coffee and atmosphere. BUT, I have issues connecting to the Wifi. The past two times I have come in, I could not get the Cisco password page to trigger no matter what diagnostics I ran. Frustrating.
