I absolutely love this place! Me and my friends love to come here for lunch and I just want to say, this place has one of the best customer services from all the places that I have ever been in. Food is delicious and fresh, drinks are great too (I recommend the Italian sodas). The staff is so kind and welcoming, I love the atmosphere its so relaxing. The experience is calm and the decor is beautiful, I love all the plants. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tacoma, I definitely recommend this place if you want to eat great food and have a great experience!
Had a flat tire so we hung out here while we waited! Great coffee and service. The building has a very cool atmosphere and theres a lovely bird you can say hi to ☺
Great service, good coffee and food. Just ask to get the restroom key. Comfy chairs for dine in unlike McDonalds.
Absolutely fabulous service! The staff are so helpful and welcoming, and the food and drinks are amazing. I love coming here with friends, or to have a nice space to concentrate and get work done.
Their iced chai latte was amazing! They accidentally gave me a different sandwich than i requested, I didnt even notice because it was so good. They did give me a free cookie though as an apology after i turned down their offer of a replacement sandwich.
I love this Cafe!! I stop by all the time on my way to work in the mornings, and it always makes my day better. I love their croissants and iced mochas. Everyone is always so nice, and the artwork is wonderful. A very talented artist works here!
Dirty chai was good. Customer service was ok. Don’t be fooled, their pastries are from Costco. I personally had the pumpkin muffin. A few days later while at Costco I saw the exact same muffins for a fraction of the price. You would think they’d support a local Tacoma bakery.
We stopped for something cool to drink after playing pinball at Dorkeys. They had a lemonade tea on the menu, so we ordered one to share. We were asked what kind of tea we would like and the person suggested something. They even asked us how much tea versus lemonade we would like. It was only one drink, but the service was excellent. It was hot outside and the air conditioning was not on inside, but it was still a nice place to stop.
Very friendly workers! Absolutely recommend this place! P.s they have a live parrot in the house so that was definitely fun!😂
I visited today. The interior is very clean and very aesthetically pleasing. The service was excellent and very welcoming. I have always heard of this place as it is known for their taste and affordable price and will definitely come back!I highly recommend trying the milk tea or coffee with a turkey sandwich. This place is perfect to spend quality time with your loved ones.
Friendly service, surprisingly good breakfast sandwiches, good pastries, and pretty good coffee - all reasonably priced. Ive never been disappointed with an experience.
I just tried this cafe for the first time, and everything was amazing. I ordered the caprese sandwich, an americano, and a scone, and everything exceeded expectations. Especially the sandwich, I was completely blown away by how delicious it was. I will be eating here again!
I quite enjoyed their hospitality and welcoming place. I definitely will come back! Thank you for everything! Their service is great and drinks tasty! See you again soon!
The quality and portions are low, their price is high, and their customer service is lacking for new customers. I dont know if I came on a bad day or what. If it wasnt for the building and location I would have given two stars.
Nice little place. They seem to have taken their bad reviews in stride. They have adjusted, it was pleasant inside. Coffee was good, and the staff were friendly.
Cute little coffee shop. I had a ham/cheese croissant & a iced caramel machiatto. All, yummy 😊
Got the club sandwich and a coffee. The sandwich was handmade and the cheese was nice and melty. Spacious interior is great for hanging out and relaxing in the nicer part of Tacoma. The coffee was great too, I’ll be coming back regularly.
Unique building, great service, good mocha :-)
Great atmosphere with loving people. The food was great and the drinks were arguably better than famous food chains. The location is also friendly for hanging out with friends and family.
I love the chill atmosphere and the cute plant decor. I tried out the taro boba and their chicken pesto sandwich both of which were delish. I will definitely be coming back here!
The coffee is trash! The customer service is the worst I have ever had! The price of everything is over price. Now I’ve been here 3 times hoping that maybe it was just that one idea or person. Just don’t worst your time or money here!
The place was nostalgic. Neat and clean. The music they played was very relaxing. Great food and friendly staffs.
This establishment is horrible. The staff is prejudice and rude they treat koren people with respect and no one else the young girl there has an attuide towards natives and talkes about homeless people this place needs to be shut down this will be my mission 0 stars
Tullys was the best, but the new place is Cool too.
Dont like the current set up and owners it feels uncomfortable in there
Beautiful old building and got a nice sandwich and cup of tea.
We used to come here when it was Tully’s and when we found out that it was changing hands we were excited to see the new place!Bostwick Cafe is pretty much the same. Bostwick is the name of the building and howeve much I like the retro style branding I really wish they would have changed up the interior. As always there is still a very great deal seating! And that wonderful staircase looks as cool as every. The interior of the building is awesome but I would have loved to see it get a facelift! They serve Caffe D’Arte which is probably on par with Tully’s. The coffee isn’t my favorite but the service was friendly and if you like Caffe D’Arte you will like this as well. This place is great for meetings with a private meeting room that’s seats probably 20 or more. Great for kids as well!Check this place out if you’re in the area. The building alone is worth seeing!
Great coffee! Recommend the caramel macchiato.
The baristas are super friendly. I tried their new boba drinks and it did not disappoint!
Lovely vibe, yummy eats, pleasant staff, cool spot!
They play the music my parents listened to more than 10 years ago and made me feel quite nostalgic. Nice environment and friendly staff.
Here on a lazy Saturday for coffee and antique shopping. Met two beautiful people! Frank and Mai went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and happy. I thought they were the owners because the cared so much. They definitely made my simple coffee extra special!
The coffee was good and the service was excellent, but I came from Olympia for the bagel and was let down. Theyd be better off sourcing their bagels from Safeway.
They are very loving, understanding not just if their menu but also of their customers. You become a regular customer after your first visit, thank you again for your amazing customer service
A cafe with an upscale feel to it with average coffee prices. The staff is great and friendly. Ive gotten black coffee and a cappuccino here before and both were excellent.
The atmosphere was very airy and open. The coffee was good. And the young woman who helped me was fantastic and extremely nice. Will come back again soon
Charming coffee shop. I got banana bread and a chai latte, both were amazing! Cute little space, very cozy and sunlit. Cant wait to come back!
Charming, quaint, Vintage urban ambiance. Love this place! Starting in January it wont be open on Sundays so best enjoy a leisurely Sunday coffee and breakfast sandwich while you can!!
Really nice and clean and quite place to drink coffee and pastry
They got the best smoothies and pesto sandwich here. Yum!
Love this coffee shop. The staff is friendly, coffee yummy, and they serve lunch like sandwiches, quiche and hot breakfast as well. Plus, they have a large seating area with lots of light and space to spread out. A perfect little spot.
WOW! Its like someone just sprinkled a little bit of magic over this cool, old historic building. What an amazing change from when it was Tullys! I havent been here in a while, but I have to say, I am really impressed with all of the new changes. It looks lighter and brighter, the seats are more comfortable, the food is better, even the staff seems happier and friendlier. And their coffee, fantastic! Fresh and delicious. I think they changed their coffee beans from Tullys to something more local. Whatever they did, it was worth it because now it tastes amazing instead of like the blah old Tullys coffee. This will definitely be my new go-to coffee shop.
I enjoyed it there. Its nice to be able to have somewhere to go when I get to school early. They have good food and friendly service. The only things I would ask for them to do is to get a tub for plates when we finish (I personally dont like leaving dishes on tables to leave) and name/price displays for their displayed food.
A funky independent coffee shop with locally roasted beans in a very cool old historic building. Plenty of seating in a unique space with tons of character. Great place to meet friends for coffee or a snack.
Employees are nice and the coffee is great! I love the window seats
Place would be nice if there was not people coming in and playing the piano. if I wanted to drink coffee in a black and white movie Id take a time machine
Only went here once but the barista was lovely :) hot coco and breakfast burrito was super good too.
Best ever so love this place. Great employees great coffee and good eats/treats. Recommend this place all the time.
Was told that today and today only I may only use the restroom if i purchase an item first. Was specifically told that normally its fine but today the restroom is strictly a customer only restroom.I refuse to purchase from an establishment that denies basic human decency at random. We all need to use the restroom and to randomly deny people because its a specific day is terrible.
They were friendly and kind.
This place has really nice atmosphere. The art that adorns the walls is well thought out and has some history, character and charm. Lighting is good. Seating abundant and comfortable.Nothing in life is free..and so it goes without saying that purchase is required prior to receiving the key to relieve yourself of your fluids and/or solids. Places located in an area where the sullied street urchins prefer to gather and commune. Be brave and enjoy your freedom to spend $3 for a cup of joe or wine or beer or cookie.
Its a nice cozy spot for coffee and to wait if you have some time before an appointment
Shhh... Dont tell anyone, but when I went the other day, I snuck in my kitty in her travel backpack. But I do appreciate that they are a spot that is a break from the chains.
A remarkable place with quality products and a friendly staff who allows our group an upper level room for our monthly meeting place.
Love the new roaster and the coffee is delicious! The decor and location are great for me and the staff is friendly. Definitely planning on becoming a regular!
It was good when I had been last year, but they apparently changed management and the chai I had today was undrinkably sweet.
Too pricey for coffee thats just pretty good. The hours are weird here. But I like stopping in still sometiems
Very nice service. Thanks.
I use to have my morning coffee here but when it changed to Bostwick the quality of coffee went way down and not only that the coffee was barely and I mean barely luke warm to cold save your money and go to Starbucks better coffee and hot as well will not recommend this place at all with that being said I would have to give this place a minus 10 not worth it.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
Decent cafe with good service. Barista made me wait quite a while despite only one customer ahead of me who already ordered, which I found odd, hence my 4/5 rating. Seating is OK but not the most spacious venue ever. Not my first pick of local cafes but a fine place to kick back and get some studying in.
Great atmosphere, good coffee, and a fantastic bagel with lox cream cheese!
I like it how it was before they changed. I had two different experiences at the same time. One lady was nice and friendly, the other one, made feel uncomfortable. I felt like she was being racist towards me. I might give it another try to see if it is different.
Food is horrible. Service is cool. Nice people work there. But the food sucks, straight up.
Great coffee! good room upstairs for small meetings.
Their esspresso taste like dead shots. The employee was however extremely kind, but I will not be going back.
Best cup of coffee in the neighborhood! The building is so neat... a perfect place to people watch.
Beautiful historical building with amazing coffee
Amazing! Very friendly very helpful! They make a great cup of coffee too!
I was SO disappointed to walk into this shop today to see not a single person I knew. Judging on the level of slow business, so were many other loyal customers. I commute past plenty of competitors on my way to my job downtown and visited this shop still because of the people (their new coffee isnt as good as the roaster they had before). Now that the people are gone, there is no good reason to not just pick up my coffee while commuting. Im so disappointed to see business greed over good employees. I hope they all landed on their feet with companies who value them, instead of this lot.
Not only do they serve great Caffe DArte but when Dorkys arcade was full they gave us a table for my sons 9th bday. Super friendly, great service and coffee :)
TLDR: coffee is 6/10, service can be slow, space is bland, but there is plenty of seating and if youre just wanting a coffee while you peruse antiques/meet with a friend, its probably fine unless youre really easy to disappoint.I went on a Saturday morning before Antique Row really woke up. My chai was out quick, but it seems that anything with shots takes quite a while. It didnt help to have only one barista on a Saturday. This space is kind of in the heart of a creative area in Seattle, so I am sad that there arent any arts or local pieces on display. It replaced a Tullys in name, but doesnt have enough character, stand out taste, or fast service to be a community hotspot. I wish it was more vivacious.
The most rude baristas in Tacoma no knowledge of the word welcoming or how to pull a good shot.Mediocre Coffee the taste bitter and burn..I would not recommend this place.
Good coffee, atmosphere needs a little life.
This place is so cute! Its so nice to have an independent coffee shop in the neighborhood. The baristas are friendly and the coffee is delicious!
Quick service with a smile and genuine Good Morning!
The new staff is less than friendly, the decor is tacky at best, coffee isn’t garbage, and I can assure that the pastries aren’t selling quickly enough, and they’re as hard as rocks. There is also mold in the wall near the bathrooms, if you put your hand on the wall you can feel it give. I mean think about it, hardly anyone goes in there anymore, the building is dilapidated, why would the inside be any better. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECCOMEND.
Mistakenly ordered a macchiato which turns out was not what I intended to order. The barista explained to us what we had probably meant to order and brought one out to us complimentary. Definitely appreciated the extra service
Coffee shop with a few pastries and paninis. Never mind the homeless folk outside. Its cozy inside and the staff are nice.
Cute place. Good coffee. Free refills. Whats not to like?
Great atmosphere. Coffee is good.
0 stars! This is a BIG heck no. Gross, gross, gross. They served my son a tuna sandwich that was so rancid that he threw up the whole next day. STAY AWAY if you dont want to get sick. So upset with this place.
Great coffee and pastries and a really nice ambience. Quiet and clean; this is my new go to!
A cozy warm place to have coffee and chat with friends
Bagels and customer service is outstanding.
If youre not a big fan of Starbucks, but dont mind paying the Starbucks price its a decent place to go. I usually order drip when I got places, but it tends to be slightly burnt tasting here. I suspect it gets left sitting too long. As for the americano I got today its a bit bitter nothing a little cream couldnt fix. All that said Ill be back there and keep it in mind if Im meeting with people since its a really nice place for that.
Quiet easy place to do business, work in quite and relax for a while enjoying you coffee.
Great atmosphere and good people. Only complaint: not enough outlets for us folks trying to leave the office and work off site.
Excellent coffee, fast wifi.
Was quick and polite, was a mocha with actual mocha flavor vs just a splash
Unfortunately this place has changed, and not for the better. I used to go to this place because it wasnt as busy as Starbucks and had better coffee. Sadly, based on what I saw during my most recent visit, Im not likely to return. There is now a charge for charging less than $5 on a card. The recipes and drinks seem to have changed also. Well, I usually dont carry cash, and no, I dont want to be charged for using my own money. I guess Ill just need to find a different independent coffee shop in Tacoma. Sad to see this place change the way it has
Quiet. Peaceful and very good service.
Slow service Coco tastes like water. Pastry case was empty.
Not the nicest customer service. And pricey.
Good spot for meet and greet ... reasonable price
Super nummy as always, friendly staff and atmosphere.
