Came in to pick up my 14k necklace I pawned a few months ago. Paid $130 to pick it back up and had cash in hand to want to buy some other jewelry. I walked over to the jewelry counter and asked if they had any simple rings in the 100-150$ price range. The guy said yeah we do then just ignored me as I stood there, wouldn’t show me anything. Started organizing the other case like I wasn’t even there.....He Treated me like I didn’t have the money to buy anything when I was ready to maybe drop 250$ Or more on a ring for my wife.That type of service is what makes me happy to walk out and take my money else where. Treating people with respect and kindness it will go along way for you and for your business. You just lost a good customer due to poor service.I would like to say the lady who helped me at the front counter was very nice and went out of her way to help me when she was clearly doing something else when I walked in. Only positive part about my experience.

My wife and child visited here on 12/21/2020 at approximately 11:09 and my wife saw what appeared to be a possibly loaded and unsecured pistol sitting on a stool within reach of anyone walking in. It was next to a set of keys on a lanyard. The security guard was not anywhere near the pistol. When my wife brought this to their attention they claimed it wasnt a big deal.Called them on 12/22/2020 and they claimed my wife must have seen an empty holster. Confirmed that my wife saw a holster with pistol grip visible in the holster.Owner replied 12/22/2020Over the phone I was told the security guard had a personal pistol that they had but in the reply to this review they are talking about a shotgun and a safe where the weapons are secured?If the owner would like to send footage proving my wife didnt see what she says she saw then they can send it to me. Currently the owner asserts there is only one employee who can access the footage and that person is unavailable. No time line of any kind was given.I will edit this review after seeing footage.

I’ve shopped in here a few times. Bought an awesome sound bar for football Sunday’s and got a great deal in it thanks to Edgar! I recently bought a nice, clean little Ruger for an even better deal straight out the door! Prices are so good you don’t have to go back and fourth to get a price you can’t refuse. Got my gun In a very timely order once my back round cleared. I’ll definitely be in again when I need something I can simply get at Gold and Pawn. Super clean store and nice and helpful employees. Pawn shops are often stereotyped as underhanded establishments that peddle inferior wares at ridiculous prices and do it by utilizing the hard sell, preying on undecided customers. Gold & Pawn absolutely shatters the stereotype.G & P has put together a place customers WANT to go, not grudgingly end up there. The expansive building is cleaner than some restaurants and the products are carefully categorized. The selection of items is immense and the products are extremely high quality.What really separates Gold & Pawn from other similar businesses are the intangibles. There is no badgering customers into a sale. The employees are the nicest, most genuine people you’ll find in any business, not just at pawn shop, a category I hesitate to even attach to the business. When you have questions, they have answers. They allow you to lead them. And they stand behind their products. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was treated like a king.More people have to stop in, because I don’t have enough positive adjectives to adequately describe how special the shop is. Keep leading by example, guys!

Not worth the trip, go there to be told that your stuff not worth it. During a global pandemic I am in major need of bills to be paired etc so thought would be nice to sell quality equipment that I have no longer need of and it will help me come bills due but they don’t care it’s about the money not to help the person when in need.

We agreed with the seller on OfferUp to purchase an item at a specific time. We were coming all the way north from the U-District. Just as we were about 10 miles away we find out they undersold the item from us. Wasting our time & fuel. I would understand if it was first come first serve, but that was not the case - no mention in any of their listings.It seems like the business is in the business of making a quick buck, caring less of their reputation or continued customer loyalty. That’s the impression that was made and completely steered us away from buying other things we were going to pick up. I hope underselling was worth it for you guys.

The owner John Uberuaga....his last store Empire pawn in kent, burnt down and he refuses to compensate patrons for their belongings...I had a $700 and $800 bike on loan, which I had loaned numerous times before in times of need....these bikes were my only mode of transportation and Im a disabled veteran! I had just paid reload money to renew the loan and he wont even pay that back. HE made a profit on their customers loss...restarted this new shop under a new name to try to mask his identity....his employees will also tell you he has nothing to do with the store, but he is definately the owner.John Uberuaga is a scam artist!

Nowhere on the signed agreement does it say cash only to pay off loans??? Thats the first thing. The second is there is a spot on the agreement that says if you pay of early you may get some of finance charge back. Its a 90 day loan agreement with option of lesser amounts at 30 and 60 days, i was paying it back at the 30 day mark earlier then the 90 days loan agreement and the guy acted like he could see the note on the paper i had to point to it and he said oh no its every 30 days for finance charges - uuummm then write that on your agreement genius.
