Friendly Foods is the best Russian delicatessen in the Puget Sound area.Great selection. Good prices. Love their piroschki!
Everythings nice and fresh, the place is so clean!
This place has gotten better. About nine years ago it was not as clean, and the people that worked here had the same demeanor as the grocery store workers back home (in Russia/Ukraine): cold, unfriendly, and rude. Now the ladies that work here are so much nicer, the store is better organized, and is definitely cleaner. Whatever changes the manager implemented worked! Spasibo!
Lovely staff. Great prices. Nice variety of specialty foods.
Imported foods from Eastern Europe. Great selection of smoked fish, cheese, kielbasa, breads, sweets, and pantry goods.
Love this place. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They have the cheese, sausage, pelmenies, mustard and other items I like.
Wonderful food and service, I am definitely coming back again soon. The foods I have discovered at this shop are awesome!
They do not bake their own bread. Bread is frozen and warmed up in their oven. Owner walks around the store without wearing a mask. Owner is THE most unfriendliest woman one could know. Goods are outdated, staff unfamiliar of the English language. You want to benefit from what the US has to offer to its immigrants, speak proper English when dealing with none speaking Russischen patrons. Go to Marvel in Parkland.
Good selection of Eastern European foods. Owners and employees are much friendly compare to before. Good improvement
It was a good little store, but everything is in Russian, so not for only English speakers. There was some nice chocolates!
Always delightful. Staff, service & products.
A sport ever never would be shopping there ever again the store charged us $83 for a couple things the store for not be opened ever again.
First time visit. Store is being worked on and it looks like they are going expand and be able to offer more items. We will come back when they are done and see it has more offerings.
Not very Diverse.
Wonderful food and variety.
Great Store hard to find items in Bulk...:)
Great little lunch spot! My UPS driver recommended it to me today and I’m so glad he did! Total comfort food! Hidden gem in Tacoma. 💕👏🏻also very affordable prices!
Didnt even know this gem was there. Tastes like home.
A great place for piroshkis. They have fried savory ones (meat, potato, cabbage) and baked sweet ones (plum, apple, poppy seed etc) Very reasonably priced. The vegetable and fruit are 99 cents the meat are just a bit more. The largest meat filled pie is around 2.50. They have an extensive selection of European and Russian foods including jarred vegetable spreads, teas of all kinds, a vast array of candies (I recommend the fruit jellies they have a much truer fruit flavor than you find in most stores). They have a good selection of deli items and fresh baked goods. Go early in the day for the best selection of fresh foods.
Wish I spoke Russian. Then Id be able to get more great stuff from the deli counter
Always a pleasure.
Not friendly, especially the hostile woman running the deli area. We drive to Parkland for Ukrainian grocery items.
Excellent products and lovely staff who are always friendly and helpful!
I love stopping by this cute little store now and again. Wonderful selection of chocolate and candies. They also have yummy breads, cheeses and meats! I just wish that they would post their hours of operation on the internets. (Hopefully posted showing week and weekend day and then times)If anyone knows the hours by heart,I recommend posting them along with a review... Perhaps they will get more people interested if they know when to show up...Just food for thought:D
Solid store to satisfy thosr childhood cravings. Please bring borsh back ;-)
I wont recommend this store .. The cashier if not friendly and the place is so dark
This European grocery store has a decent selection of food products. Excellent selection of Ukrainian chocolates, Roshen. Good prices on produce (limited selection). Fantastic Ukrainian-style breads. I will be back!
I like their baked goods, and all kinds of east european fare.
My favorite place for Russian and Ukrainian foods and goods. They have everything you can think of for a small market. Juices, teas, frozen pelmeni stuffed with meats, varied fresh fruits, jams and honeys, and so much more. A small goldmine!Every day they have fresh baked breads, their deli has high quality delicious meats and cheeses, and they have hot fresh cabbage, mashed herbed potato, and minced meat piroshky (I believe thats the correct name) that are very fairly priced and just absolutely delicious. Wonderful place.
Im here for the Little European Cafe the place that serves meals, not the grocery one. The savory food was tasty. Dessert.. well... mine was moldy so beware.
Small but humble Russian food store. Always fresh and has just about all the nice things you would expect from a euro deli.
Small batch local foods and imported staples. Great prices, and good customer service.
Most product is expired. Be very careful buying anything. Look at the expiration tag. If no tag, DO NOT BUY. If tag has only one date and it does not indicate if that date is expiration of date it was made then its expiration date and its likely to be expired by YEARS.Just last night i wanted to buy tomato juice and it only had one date on it 09/22/17. It is Jan 2019 so that means its expired over a year ago but still on the shelf and not alone. My mother also bought some jelly sweets. When we opened them at home, they smelled so horrible. This is normal. We are well aware of that place and everyone (Russians) know what to buy and what not to buy from that place.Fruit, meat, bread, things like that are ok.Cakes are old and dry. All candy is expired except for few. All drinks are expired for the most part, except for those that sell well.I dont understand why everyone here posting so much positive. Is it because you feel good that day or what ?This store needs to be closed down. We had this garbage back in Russia and it should not exist here in America.
Cool little Russian market, pretty inexpensive. Doesnt look super high class, but it definitely has a home-y feeling to it
So many great canned foods and pickled items. Dark rye bread selection and bulk pelmeni? STFU
I wish I could give this store 0 stars.Poor customer service (rude, unprofessional). Quality, freshness and cleanliness are questionable.Every question I asked about expirations dates (they were covered with price tags) or how fresh the product was I received the same answer: “Fresh, we just got it”.I bough some “kolbasa” (deli meat) today, after arriving home I noticed that every single slice is covered in either cheese or butter. Will be calling the store tomorrow.
Good place for a quick bite. Love the ice cream
Freshness is questionable, customer definitely not a top priority in this store. Little cafe tricked me with pricing. Got my nostalgy fixed. For another 20 years.
We go here occasionally for unique cheeses, brats & bockwurst. Its fun to peruse the aisles for different ethnic food also.
Quaint place. Has a veriety of cheess and meets. It was my negligence for not learning a little Getman or Rominosh before arriving but things went smoothly.
Get great ingredients at this Eastern European/Russian grocery store. The women who work here are so friendly...dont be afraid to ask a question. Prices are amazing. I come here when my family wants Pierogies or Pelmeni. The bakery is solid. My son loves the house-made Tiramisu here.
Friendly Foods? Get the F outta here with that name. Ive been here 3 times and the folks who work here are anything but friendly. Ive also tried a few of their peroshskis and they werent friendly either. In fact they were terrible. They tasted like super greasy donuts with low quality meat and instant potatoes inside. Bleh. This place sucks and is definitely not somewhere Id recommend or plan to go to go to again.
Great selection and customer service.
I liked my shopping experience here good prices specialty items.
The food looked great especially the apples but not organic 😔
Amazing variety of delicious foods, full deli, and many other items.
This place used to be bad, tonight theyve reached a new low. Ive decided to give them another chance, my bad. The old staff used to be slow and talkative, the new faces Ive seen tonight, well, they are just something else. They dont want to be bothered selling you expired food (yes, every other can, jar or pack on shelves is expired). They want to pick their noses (yes, literally, while slicing your bologna!) and look at customers like we are some annoying flies or bugs. Ugh.. No way I go there again, and Ill make sure I spread the word as wide as I can. This place needs to be closed.
Friendly? Some of the help is in serious need of some ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT. No excuse for rudeness to customers who do not speak Russian or Ukrainian.
A great variety of good food, very competitive
Delicious Piroshky for $1.99
Everything is super unorganized. Hard to find any help. Cashiers are never available. A lot of the food is expired and then they put it up as sale items. I would not recommend coming here at all. They do have ok prices for seasonal fruits, so its not all that bad in there.
Stay away!! This place is filthy and rotten. Both the good and the staff. Stay away!
Service here is terrible! Twice now the older woman at the deli counter has told us that she cant sell us cheese or meat because her slicer was clean and she wouldnt just cut off a portion to sell us. Tonight she did that in spite of us having waited at least 20 minutes while she sliced meats and cheeses for other customers and KNEW that the slicer wasnt clean. She doesnt seem to want to serve anyone who isnt from the old country. To hell with them, there are other markets in the area.
Poor customer service! They sell expired groceries that are moldy.
I like this stor, everyone is nice and friendly
Great place for low income people
Great Russian and Eastern European food.
Worst customer service, expired food, and they steal your money!
Interesting Russian products. Need more staff.
Best Russian store ever.
Good assortment.
They have great pork piroshky
Nice choice of European foods👍
“Friendly Foods” Market is joke and a sarcastic name for a corner store with expired merchandise, refusing to speak English, rude, unfriendly, almost angry staff, don’t wanna help you type of place.I wonder, how they manage to stay in business ....?
Very unfriendly place if you are not Russian and ask a question they just walk away and laugh at you everything is expired just a bad place all around
This place is amazing great sekection
Worst customer service ever, expired food, rude workers! Will not recommend anyone to go there! Stay away from that place!
Big availability of Ukrainian food
Very good Piroshki
Shop local!
Hey they have piroshkis!

Good Service, Friendly Workers !!!
Ok place
Good selection
Great place
Great!
Excellent bakery
Good prices
Good
Nice
Nice, little shop. Everything is familiar here, you can find good Ukrainian products. There are few such native shops here, so it is especially nice to find it ..
A good choice
The store is clean, the sellers are polite, I liked it.
