Im a Sarasota-based travel writer and reached out to The Great Bicycle Shop to see if theyd be interested in taking part in my article about fun things to do in Tallahassee. Manager James Olmstead came in on a Sunday morning to accommodate us. Then, I got a flat tire half an hour into our ride--and he came out in his car to fix the flat! Olmsteads effort from start to finish spoke volumes about his worth ethic--and the can-do attitude of this great bike shop. Please support these good people!
Thanks guys for such a good service. Mr James was very helpful and informative. We drove 266 miles to pick the bike there and we were Not disappointed.
This is not a long review, but I think it is an important one. About 2 years ago we bought two new mountain bikes from Great Bicycle and were happy with the bikes, the price and the service. Doug was, and is, an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful salesperson and bike technician. We then started to go out for weekly rides, until an injury sidelined us. Then, the pandemic sidelined us longer. So these wonderful mountain bikes have been sitting in the garage, unused, for the past 18 months. Now that we are starting to emerge from the pandemic, I want to start getting back into riding. So I took my bike down to them for a tuneup.Ely was fantastic. I told him I wanted to get a tuneup as it was sitting for a year. At a minimum the tubeless tires needed sealant and to be inflated. He looked at the bike and asked if I could wait a moment while he took an initial look and he put it up on the stand. He looked it all over, testing the chain and brakes, looking at the cables, ensuring the rims were true, etc. Wen he was done he said that he would absolutely NOT encourage me to get a tuneup as it wasnt needed. He said a little cleaning, some tire sealant and inflation was all that was needed. So he then started to do all of that. 15 minutes later the bike was good to go! Total cost: Under $11.He **easily** could have just taken the bike in for the tuneup that I requested and have charged me probably $100 or so. And I would have been happy, as that was what I asked for. Instead, he told me what I really needed which only cost a few dollars. That is incredible integrity and speaks highly to him and the Great Bicycle team. Rather than make a few extra bucks they instead now have a customer for life (well....they had that already based on the initial sale), and one who will happily sing their praises. If you need bike work done, or need a bike, Great Bicycle is the place to go!
Always get prompt service. The staff is the most knowledgeable. Small local feel that others have lost
The name is accurate. These folks were great to work with. Destroyed both wheels on both my bikes when they broke away from my carrier. They worked with me to get new wheels, treads, grips, and pedals. Checked my frames for damage, salvaged my relatively new cartridge, and tuned my derailleur. Finished the work on both bikes in under 3 hours. They also recommended places to ride in the area. Great service and good people.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, great supply of parts and accessories! Honestly wish this shop was closer to me. I definitely will be back next time Im in Tallahassee
I just wanted to say thanks again to Eli! My husband and I came out there to get a couple of bikes and ended up leaving so stoked! Eli took a lot of time with us which is extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable guy and super nice! Lovely shop with plenty of inventory. Thanks so much!
I always get excellent service when I go to The Great Bicycle Shop. They are kind, & professional. So happy to have them in town. Im a customer forever.
Back in December of last year I went to GBS looking for an entry level mountain bike for under $800. This was when you couldnt go in the store, but the nice young lady that helped me pointed me in the right direction. She suggested I get a Giant Talon 2, which I did. Because of covid delays I got the bike in April. I rode the trails in Tallahassee, especially loving Munson Hills. I realized some of the more rugged trails, such as Redbug and Lafayette Heritage would require a full suspension. I was taking my Talon in for a small tune up and asked about getting a full suspension bike. After looking through the computer I was told the wait would be a while because of the huge demand in bikes. Thats of course no fault of GBS, so I was fine with waiting. Luckily however, the person at the counter noticed that theyd gotten a Giant Stance in. It was a small frame with 27.5 tires. After checking to see if it was spoken for, he said it was available. It was still in the box so I left while they assembled it for me to test ride. I came back later in the day and tested it out. I bought it that day and have been riding nearly every off day and in the mornings before work. Im just waiting on my dropper post to come in. If youre looking for a great place to buy a bike, have one worked on, or just for knowledgeable staff The Great Bicycle Shop is the place to go. Thanks GBS!
Best bike shop in town! They are fair priced and knowledgeable about the bikes. Eli (the tech who helped my fiance and I) is knowledgeable, down you earth, and gives great customer service!
The older guy (I think Eli) is one of the most rude and condescending people I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering. I prefer to drive across town to University Cycles where they don’t treat a few simple questions like an inconvenience. The younger employees are actually pretty friendly though.
I have been looking for an XL bike for quite some time, and found what I was looking for on GIANTS website. Giant had directed me to Great Bicycle Shop and from the get go, everyone has been helpful and patient . I mustve called 5 or 6 times regarding my order, and each time I spoke to somebody different.. no matter who I talked to, it was as if they have been working with me all along. I live up in northern New Jersey, but if I lived in the Tallahassee area, I would definitely give these folks more business. Two of the managers I spoke with (Matthew and James) have been very understanding. And no, I wasnt pulling a Karen by asking Can I speak to your manager?, I was directed to them because they were the ones who were able to take care of some questions and concerns I had.
This shop is a cut above the rest. Its the place for EXCEPTIONAL service at fair prices. The techs are knowledgeable and friendly. Eli (hes awesome) took the time to understand my needs through an actual conversation - no brah references, elitist attitudes or man-splaining here. Its such a welcoming atmosphere, even in a world of curbside pickup.
Truly a five star experience! My wife and I, both in our sixties quickly learned that we were interested in an entry level hybrid bike to navigate paved surfaces and gentle trails, We were in and out of two area bike stores in less than three minutes when we were told they had nothing in stock. I understand the shortage related to the covid crisis. However, neither store was apparently interested in learning who we were or placing us on a call back list. One gave us the owners card and suggested we watch their website. That was not the case at our third stop, the Great Bicycle Shop. We were greeted by Tyler and after making an assessment of our ability and stature brought out several different styles for us to try. We were so impressed with his interest in our finding the right bike that we went back the next day and purchased two! We did spend slightly more than we had intended but the attention to detail and service was great. To the other two shops, maybe you lost a couple of sales from us and the service and accessories that will follow. Who knows. We do know that we will be going back to the Great Bicycle Shop and recommending this business to others. Thanks Tyler - youre a true professional and asset to this business and the Tallahassee biking community!
They force customers to wear a mask - I took my business elsewhere
Went to purchase a tire and two tubes during a pandemic. Staff and custoners all had masks and respected distance. Transactions handled outdoors safely. Made for a good experience.
Great all around! Thank you for recognizing the need to keep your employees, customers and the community in general safer during this worldwide pandemic. Thanks again for seeing me pull up at 5:01 to return my rental and unlocking the door to take it in saving me a trip down to Tallahassee on Monday.
I had the best experience with the Great Bicycle shop. The staff is very friendly and professional. They advised me and help me to make the right decision being new to the sport. I can only recommend them and can guarantee that they will go the extra mile to have you leave the shop with a big smile on your face. Thanks guys
Good bicycle shop with some great staff. Doug was a tremendous help and well-versed on bicycle care and repair. He understood and valued my goal of achieving a quality repair on my bike and explained the pros and cons of different approaches. Thoughtful, intelligent, and customized care of this nature is what sets a shop above others, and what will keep me coming back to The Great Bicycle Shop. Thank you!
Great place to buy bicycles any anything you need for riding on and off road.
We rented bikes from there today but had also ordered helmets online yesterday to be picked up curbside. When we got there the helmets we ordered were not in stock and they traded them for nicer ones at no extra cost. Dante helped us get the bikes on our car and we were off for a great day! He was also patient in answering our questions about buying in the future as we are newbies.
The staff here is great and super helpful. I bought my first full suspension mountain bike here, and the service has been excellent. They helped me get a great deal on a 2019 bike due to the 2020 being sold out. And I have to give a shout out to Doug for being a knowledgeable mountain bike specialist who cares about the customer as an individual. Thanks guys!
I was looking for a very specific bike and couldnt have asked for a better buying experience. Doug Parke helped me every step of the way and provided me with an incredibly smooth and hassle free purchase. His product knowledge and expertise are unmatched in the industry. If youre considering the great bike shop dont hesitate.
I recently moved here to Tallahassee and had to go this shop because I have a Giant. My overall impression is disappointment. Would not return here. First due to COVID they do not let anyone in their shop and this is September. I understand caution, however I believe with mask, hand sanitizer, and limiting number of people in shop this can be reasonable and by Sept you could make this reasonable scientific decision (obviously this is my opinion). Second their customer service was not good. Example I needed a part ordered for my bike. Initially I brought my bike down for them to look at it, instead they took my number down and said well we will have someone call you on Monday. It took them awhile to order this piece. When I called about this piece the person on the phone who answers kept calling it the wrong name, could not tell me when it was ordered or when it might come in. I called back multiple times and finally someone told me... “we lost your name and number but the part is here”. It had been weeks. Ok I get it... due to COVID there is a delay but losing customer name and number to speciality order part kind of annoying. So I called them and I said I’m on my way to pick it up (ETA 5 min) and since your not letting anyone in the store can you have it waiting for me outside. Guy said sure. When I get there the gentleman who seems clueless in the tent about bikes and is selling them to customers has no clue what I’m there for or where is my part. I wait 5+ minutes for him to find this part. He comes out. Then he goes back inside to then perform the transaction which also seems to take 5 minutes. Again if COVID has been going on for 6 months and your not letting anyone into the store, maybe the owner should figure out how to make the transactions quicker and smoother. I don’t like dropping off a bike and not talking to a mechanic. I don’t like communications where you lose my number when you order items. This shop seems way off and I would not spend money there or leave my bike for service based on my interactions.
Staff very nice. If simple repair, they make time to fix while you wait or run an errand.
The Great Bicycle Shop is a fantastic place. Particularly so since Matt Wilson, the manager onsite, is an experienced cyclist (MTB, Road, Adventure) well connected with the community and the industry. During such times of unprecedented crisis, he even goes the extra mile to help his customers feel safe without cutting the quality of his services. It is with the highest level of confidence that I strongly recommend this shop.
GBS has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff that will help you make a decision on the bike that is just right for you. I bought my mountain bike in June and they’ve always been very helpful in getting me properly set up to ride the Tallahassee trails! If you are shopping for a new bike or have one you need to get serviced and tuned up I highly recommend a great bicycle shop!!!
A bit upsetting. I called before arranging a ride to get there to ensure they had the part and cost. Arrived they had not the part quoated over the phone but one twice the cost . And a jug of sealant. I didnt even realize you could buy tire sealant in that quantity.
The Great Bicycle Shop is by far my favorite bike shop in Tallahassee. I’ve purchased two Scott bikes from here and have been more than satisfied with the bikes. The customer service at this establishment is top of the line. The salespersons are knowledgeable and friendly and go out of their way to help first time bike owners and seasoned bikers alike. Doug, a salesman at the shop, helped me pick out my Scott Spark about 10 months ago. He’s helped me with the maintenance of the bike since then and also helped me install a dropper post, tubeless tires, and new pedals. Definitely give this shop a visit if you’re in the market for a new bike!
Had my wheels change to tubeless, they did a great job. This is the only shop I go to for all my bicycle needs.
GBS is a friendly local bike shop with friendly knowledgeable staff to help with any of your cycling needs. They are happy to help with anything from riding around your neighborhood to hundreds of bike packing miles. Local guys that love helping their community enjoy bikes.
Very positive experience. Young man who waited on me explained what appeared to be wrong with a bicycle Id brought in for a tune up after moving to Florida. He acknowledged what was in good shape, wrote up a receipt of what appeared to be damage that happened as a result of the move, and gave me an estimate to repair and a timeline for when repairs would be done. Pleasant and professional.
Great local bicycle shop! Thank you, James, for all the honest information, and patiently helping me find the perfect bike. I appreciate your knowledge and non-pushy selling style. This place is truly a gem for Tallahassee!
Had a great experience here last week with a friend that needed a bike to use in college. Adrian was awesome!! Super helpful, we really appreciated it!
I have been at the Great Bicycle Shop 3 times with my boys for maintenance of their bicycles. Staff has always been courteous, helpful and good work. A really nice bicycle shop in Tallahassee.
Rented two bikes from this store for a week, a Giant road bike and a womans Liv hybrid. The store manager was great, preparing the bikes for us ahead of time. He offered a superb discounted price on the weeks rental, and INCLUDED a car carrier (excellent Thule), helmets, lock, extra tubes in case of flat, tool carrier, and a crossbar to make it easier to carry the Liv on the car carrier. The bikes were in like-new condition, tuned perfectly. We were so happy with the bikes and service and price. Couldnt be compared for a week rental anywhere Ive ever rented before. Thank you for the rentals, great bikes and professional manner. This will be my first stop for bikes in Tallahassee on our next visit.
I have used this bike shop for years. The mechanics are proffesional and the customer service is top notch. Thanks to Beatty for getting my gravel bike parts ordered and repair set up so quickly after the Dirty Pecan so I dont miss any taining or racing.
Went here so I could get some finishing checks on a bike I had put together. Not only did they let me watch them work when I asked but they also told me what they were doing and I really learned a lot. What was exceptional was that no one was condescending in the slightest, which is something I see a lot in other bike shops especially as a young woman. My dads been here a few times too and hes a big fan. Would recommend.
So excited to get our new bikes! Very helpful staff! Finally made the mint green tricycle mine 😎
I purchases a bike one year ago. Only about 100 miles on it now (Feb 18). Garage kept. Had to take it in 3 or 4 times to have the wheel bearings replaced or repacked because they start grinding and progressively get worse until I take it in. I believe I may have a lemon bike. Asked for refund or just replace the bike. Management says the manufacture will not allow that. As the owner it seems he could replace it after looking at the number of times I brought the bike in for the exact same problem each time. I loved the bike before all this started happening. I saved for 5 months so I could buy this bike. Its been a nightmare. Money wasted.
This is a great shop with a friendly staff that respects their customers. They have a great lineup of bikes and are centrally located. They rent high end bikes at a very good price (cheaper than most other bike rentals I have experienced).
Guess its a matter of what you want in a shopping experience. If arrogance and indifference its what your looking for, its a great bike shop.
Best bicycle shop in the country. This shop goes above and beyond in sales and service. Friendly staff and unbeatable pricing is hard to beat. Thanks GBS for everything you do for the cycling community!
This is really a great bicycle shop! I am just getting into cycling as a sport and the staff were very helpful. I was very impressed with there patience with all my questions! Thank you guys!
Awesome place to buy a new bike or rent one! The staff is friendly and very accommodating when it comes to choosing the perfect bike. Highly recommend this shop for purchasing a quality bike at an affordable price!
Love this place!! Reasonable prices and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff!
I really appreciate the attention and detail we received from Doug at tGBS! His personable and genuine attitude really made us feel at home there...I highly recommend anyone looking for a new bike or service to visit tGBS, they truly seem to be committed to helping you find the best bike for you...and they will support you long after the sale is made.Kris Huffman
Super nice. Helpful. Never pushy with sales! They want to make sure you have the bike experience that you are looking for.
Tim is very helpful. Always seems to have the answers I need! I recommend this shop.
I had to get a tune up and some parts replaced. They were able to get my bike back 3 days later during a holiday week. Really great service.
Im new to town, and my bike was in dire need of repair/tuning. After reading the reviews I went here and it was a pleasurable experience. My bike rides like new, and learned a lot about seat positioning. They are friendly, and the price was considerably cheap for all that they did for me. While I live in Tallahassee, Ill continue to do business with the Great Bicycle Shop.
I went there to purchase a bike and waited for about 10 minutes while one of the employees had what sounded like a personal conversation with another customer. Then after all that time, once the conversation was over he helped a customer that came in long after me first, at which point I politely left. This kind of thing kills local businesses and the desire of those who prefer to shop locally.
I love these guys and gals!!! Was there this past weekend for a bike race and had technical difficulties on practice day. Went there an hour before closing on Saturday of all days...they stayed late and got me back and going. Thanks Matthew and the skilled techs at the shop.
Staff is very customer friendly . They fixed my grandsons tires today while we waited . Wouldnt take a penny . A rare experience this day and age > Thank you GBS
Ive been riding bicycles for quite some time and been to many bike shops. Id have to say GBS is one of my favorite bicycle shops to go to. With a friendly and excellent mechanical staff Ive always had a quick turn around time with flawless results when I brought my bikes in for services. The great atmosphere makes it enjoyable to just stop by to pick one of the employees brains on new bicycle developments and/or technical issues. Thank you!!!
After working with all of the shops in Tallahassee, using tune ups, major repairs (of which I have had many) and product knowledge as my measuring stick, I have found GBS to be at the top of the list in each category. They have excellent customer service, knowledgeable employees and most importantly the finest mechanic(s) in town. I would recommend this shop without hesitation to anyone looking for the best shop in town.
Top notch organization from the owners to management to the staff. Weve gotten our last three bikes from them, and its always been a great experience!
I have bought multiple tricycles and bicycles for my 3 children over the years. Not to mention the bells, pumps, and helmets. Im a big supporter of local businesses. I just took my 11 year old son there to see about trading up for a larger bike. We were treated with indifference and a could care less attitude. I understand people have bad days. Hope this is not a trend for this business. Good luck.
I am writing this review because this is the SECOND time that this shop has done me wrong! I live about 17 miles away close to ST. Marks from this shop and its the closest one to my area. I called and asked if they had a 26 inch rim for my beach cruiser, I asked him to put his hand on it and see because I was peddling all the way on my wifes bike to come and get it, well I got there and he didnt have it and I needed it for work the next morning. The guy apologized, said he was sorry, but he didnt understand the scope of the situation. The other time, I had just spent close to $100 yesterday there and the next morning I was riding to work and nearly got killed from a distracted driver and ran off the road, hit a pothole and popped my tube. I tried patching my tube and my last patch didnt hold, so I went there, it was close by. I only had $3.75 and the guy wouldnt let me have a tube to get to work, so I bought another patch kit and it failed again. I would have given him the money that afternoon had he helped me out AND MORE. I had to miss work and walk the bike in hot sun for 17 miles down Woodville Hwy. NEVER AGAIN will I do business there EVER!! LEFT ME STRANDED!!! Not to mention I might have lost my job because of it. YOU GUYS REALLY SUCK!!!! Im telling everybody to avoid your shop at all costs.
First time buying a bike and these guys made it awesome. I knew what I wanted before I even contacted the store. I called these guys up and asked them if they the bike I wanted (GIANT Revel 29er) in stock. Sadly, they did not, but they informed me they could get it ordered and have it in less than three weeks. Roughly 6 days later, I get a call saying its ready to go and come get it. PS, I live almost 2 hours away, thus, the over-the-phone.I walk into the store and Im blown away. Im entry level, just getting into the cycling scene, and this store just made me want to do it even more. It has a great atmosphere...the layout, the smell of it, the size...it just felt at home. I cant really put words to the feeling, but when I walked in there, I knew I made the right decision choosing this shop over the local one near where I live.So I walk up to the counter, a gentleman asks to serve me and I tell him what Im there to get. As he walks to the back to retrieve it, I start looking around a bit. Another customer is getting helped by staff as he is a first timer like me. I couldnt help but listen in, as I was only 10 feet away. The staff member listened to what the customer wanted, confirmed, and proceeded to show the man to some bikes that might be what he was looking at.Now, as a prior car salesman, this is where I was expecting some overselling to happen. Then something magical happened: I was dead wrong. The salesman took in all the feedback from the customer as hes hopping on and off a few bikes, and instead of trying to sell him on what he brought out for the man, the staff set them aside and asked the customer to come try some other stuff out. They go over to another rack and start trying on a whole bunch of different stuff. Well color me impressed... The staff really do take their time and make sure you get what you need.To anyone who is planning to buy a bike, dont do what I did. I wish I would have made another trip to spend an hour or so with the staff looking and feeling what was right. I made my purchase and Im pleased with it, but I regret doing it over the phone and not dealing with some really awesome people who work there.
Highly recommend this bike shop. Great people and prices. Gabe Gunter
Friendly Knowledgeable Staff. #FKS.jk
I took my bicycle to this shop to be repaired on a Monday because another shop was closed. I told them the gears were slipping so they checked it over and replaced the chain. I took it back it again because the gears were still slipping. They did some adjustments and told me it was fine. The next time I rode it I had the same problems so I took it back and they had to order a part and I got it back four days later. I just went out for a ride on the hills and the gears started slipping, the chain came off in a mess and I had to walk home. Done with this repair shop.
Did a great job truing a wheel from my dirt jumper.
Great staff, and the best bike brands! Not just another retail bike shop! Very community oriented.
They really helped in picking out the right bike and servicing is tops.Staff is always helpful
Best bike shop there is. Very knowlegable and helpful staff. I would recommend Great Bicycle Shop to anyone and everyone.
Very good, woman that helped me knew her products wellVery courteous and knowledgeable
I got a really cool used bicycle there of 500. The manager told me to sell it back whenever I dont like it. I went back but the manager tell me now they never had this thing. I feel cheated and even worse, my friend told me this mode bike now new only sell 500+. I am really sad, I just want to sell it 200 but the store wont even look at it.
I purchased my new Kona Sutra online from a San Diego bike dealer. I had it shipped to the Great American Bike Shop for assembly. I asked them specifically to go over the wheels to make sure the spokes were properly tightened and the wheels were true. I could have assembled the bike myself, but True-ing wheels is my mechanical weakness. When I arrived to pick up my bike, I happened to bend down and squeeze two rear spokes. They were really loose. I told the clerk that I was disappointed that they didnt do the one thing I asked for. By the way, my request was clearly written on the work order. To the stores credit, they got the Head mechanic working on the wheel. While waiting, I was looking at water bottles. I would have bought a pair, but the brand I wanted was $24.99. The average price in most bike shops for the same bottle is $14.99. After the Head Mechanic tightened up my spokes, I did a little test ride. I had not ridden disc brakes before. I felt like they had no stopping power. The clerk I mentioned this to, got on my bike and pushed himself across the sales floor. Then he stood up on the bike, holding himself stationary with the brakes. He pronounced them good. Well, I took off on my tour...I broke two rear wheel spokes my first week out. (I only carry about 45lbs of gear) As I stopped in another shop they made an adjustment on my good brakes. The difference was incredible. I could finally stop. My spokes had also been over-tightened and my wheel had a minor crack as a result. I have never written a negative review for any business in my life before now. Im writing this to caution patrons of the Great American Bike Shop to double check any work they do. After all, if the mechanics ignore whats written clearly on a work order, what else are they ignoring? In response to this review the shop wrote a somewhat condescending reply (See below) with an educational lesson on brakes and new bike break in periods. This assumes Im a novice cyclist, which Im not. I have over 60,000 touring miles across America over the last six years. In that time Ive had two other bikes, both without disc brakes. However, I know how brakes are supposed to feel. When I rode the bike before leaving the shop, they were out of adjustment. I could feel it. The mechanic assured me otherwise and in a short ways down the road, another shop proved him wrong. Standing in one place was a lazy brake test. Had he actually ridden the bicycle, he might have felt what I felt. As for the wheels, they mention touring loads and stresses. This Im very familiar with. If you over tension a spoke on a road bike (Which a majority of your customers ride) youre unlikely to see the consequences youll experience on a touring bike. On the weightier touring bike you will find linear cracks on the wheel at the spoke nipple, as is the case. Trueing the wobble out of wheels isnt hard. But having the proper feel for the job, working carefully so you dont make an egg of the wheel requires time, patience and experience. Time and lack of a trueing stand was why I made the mistake of trusting the job to you. I doubt that the few minutes your mechanic spent on the wheel after I pointed out the loose spokes were careful minutes. As for carrying extra spokes, thanks for the advice, but every tourist knows that. You might as well remind me to lube my chain and be sure to to put air in my tires. In my review I didnt even mention an improperly hung rear derailer which I corrected when I got the bike home. Educate me. Brag about 100 years of mechanical experience. Do what you must to save face. The fact remains, you ignored specific instructions on a work order and did a sloppy overall job of assembling my new bicycle. Customers would be wise to check your work. Instead of talking down to unhappy, first and LAST time customers who give negative reviews, you should concentrate on reading work orders and doing the job right.
Supremely knowledgeable staff, great selection, and reasonable prices. They do sales, rentals, repairs, and accessories. The #1 bike shop in Tallahassee as far as Im concerned!
I have gotten good service there, very helpful. I used to have an inexpensive bike I got from a department store and I would take it to GBS for maintenance. I recently bought a bike that GBS had on sale - of course my biking experience is much better now that I have a quality bike instead of the department store special I had been using. Anyway, when I purchased the bike, they did not try to push a lot of accessories on me. When I asked about certain tools and accessories the salesman showed me the products available and answered my questions. But no one pushed accessories in my face and told me I needed this or that. I recently brought in the bike for some adjustments and they were able to take care of things in a few minutes even though it was late in the day.
Good bicycles at good price, they are friendly and helpful for any bike problem
I love this place.
Horrible experience full of discrimination, he just wants you to spend half a grand(at least) on an oversized bike that looks impossible to maneuver throughout trees on a trail with.Care is not focused on the customer and their bike! All i needed was to purchase new tires!
They did a great job on restoring some part for my bike. Did it fast and great...but what they dident do. Is tightin my chain enough and was still some slack which at the time i though was ok well I ended up crashing my bike and flipping while I was going to work. Cus my chain slid off and. Got 2nd degree Road rash. And now my hand is all messed up😔🌋
Great bike shop very knowledgeable, awesome service, owner very informative, generaous and helpful!!
Rented this Giant MTB from here while in town for the holidays. The staff was great: knowledgeable and friendly.
They are awesome
Twice now Ive taken my bike in for a tune up and both times they failed to do what a tune-up is supposed to involve. A tune up is $60+depending on needed parts and if you bought the bike from them. The first time was 10 years ago at the Thomasville Rd. location. I asked for a tune up assuming they would notice it had serious shifting issues. Well, I got it back tuned up and it still wouldnt shift...they obviously didnt even test the shifting or they would have noticed.I noticed right away, they took it back in and ended up having to replace cables etc to make it shift properly. The second time was last week - 10 years later I had forgotten about the first incident and took it back, this time to the shop on Woodville Hwy.It was shifting ok but had been sitting for years so I assumed it needed a proper tune-up. I got it back with two new shifting cables. NOW it has shifting problems. it didnt need cables, it needed lube/adjustment of the trigger shifts which they obviously didnt even look at or they would have noticed. This is not a cheap bike...It cost me over $1k new.Dont get a tune up a GBS - they are nice enough - but they dont always provide the service they are selling.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful
Great customer service...thanks Matt!
Great place.
