Everyone there was great!!! I had my electric bike there for about a month and all it cost me to have it fix was $30!!! They were amazing and very kind, I would definitely recommend going there when you need your bike to be fixed!! Thank you to everyone who helped with my bike!!

The workers are friendly, efficient, and very reasonable with pricing. Each time Ive gone they accurately let me know how much time the repair was likely to take, and I could tell that they really care about fostering positive connections with clients, rather than squeezing as much cash out of each repair as possible. Called the shop and asked for an adjustment on my gears shifting and that I was riding today. I took the bike in they did a great job of adjusting it at no charge. I bought a new seat of which they put on. I rode the trails that day and my bike shifted perfectly. Nice people, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service by JD and Alan. After discovering a badly worn headset bearing during our cross country ride, we made our way to Uni Cycles hoping they could help us. Whilst they didnt have the spare parts, they phoned another shop in town and arranged for is to get immediate service so we could get back on the road again. My favorite bike shop in all of Tallahassee! These guys really know their stuff and are willing to drop everything to help you. More often than desired, I have come in with a flat and theyve fixed it up in minute so I could still be to class on time. The staff is extremely friendly and always fun to chat to as they finish the repairs. They also offer free air up on your tires and lubing of the chains if you need it and dont have all the equipment yourself. If you live anywhere near campus, make University Cycles your bike shop of choice!

After picking out a bike I was interested in, the employee servicing me had me convinced it was a great bike for me, yet he didnt let me buy it until I had ridden it and got a feel for it. Since it was raining that day, he told me to come back the next day to try it out and see if it was really the bike I wanted. They re no trying to make a quick buck off you. I needed to get my sons tube replaced and this shop is close to FAMU, had good reviews so I decided to try it. I wasnt disappointed. They are not only very efficient and have good prices, but personable. Thats a big plus for me. Cooper, the sweet pup in the shop is the icing on the cake. The team at University Cycles is SO nice, not pretentious/stuffing and very welcoming! Ive been getting semester-frequent repairs with my classic bike and they are always honest about my repair options and really know what theyre talking about. If only car mechanics were this honest...Expect them to be busy during the beginning of the semesters, so they may forget to let you know that your bike is ready - but you got to understand how in-demand these guys are! Its going to be tough finding a shop as welcoming when I move/graduate!

This is the best bike shop in Tallahassee. The guys that work here will greet you as soon as you walk in the shop. There is hardly ever a wait, and even if there is, they still take the time to ask you what you need and you wont be standing around for long. Ive come here for a lot of work on my bike. I had the bottom bracket replaced and new handlebars installed a few months ago. I remember that when I dropped my bike off, the front brakes were scraping the wheel very slightly. I did not ask them to fix this, but when I came back they had taken them off and centered them without charging me or even asking me if I wanted it fixed. The handlebars and bracket are working great months afterwards so I have no doubt that the workmanship was top notch. They have tons of bike parts available for sale here. The shop is beautiful. Its extremely clean and well-organized. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in after work to price out tires and tubes. They had exceptional pricing and even offered a advice for recommended tires for my needs. Manager was very offering as well as the staff. Theyve been great since when I first moved here in 2009.

Superior service. I took my cheap bike in today because I couldnt figure out how to fix it. I expected to drop it off, but they fixed it quickly and only charged me (minimal) for the necessary parts. I was riding my bike up and down Gaines a few minutes later. Would highly recommend.

They know how to actually FIX the PARTICULAR issue, whereas some other repair shops in town will offer to (unnecessarily) replace half the parts on the bike in order to rectify some ambiguous problem in there somewhere. The distinction can literally mean the difference between, e.g., $200 vs. $25 charges.

Cheapest, fastest bike shop for maintenance and repair in town. Other places will charge more and require you to usually put your bike in the queue which means 2 trips to drop it off and then pick it up. Good customer service, friendly atmosphere. They have very affordable bikes as well, mostly Fuji, Raleigh, and a lot of MTBs

Staff have a good grasp on the workings of many bikes. Recommendations for parts and tools have proven to be useful for me. Critically, this store is easy to reach by bike from anywhere near downtown and the universities.

Michael is the man. He is well versed in the world of biking. I was not sure where i wanted to get a bike but talking to him made that easy. I got a KHS and my son got Fuji. If and when we upgrade we will do it with University Cycles!

This business ROCKS! Other bicycle shops were either closed or did not have the items I wanted, however University Cycles was open AND had all the items I wanted. The employees and owner also gave me correct advice whereas other shops did not seem to know what was going on. University Cycles did not pressure me to do anything; they just patiently educated me so I could understand what was the best way to proceed. I am very happy to give my money to a business when it is as professional as this. If you own a electrical bicycle And you need the wheels, the spokes on the wheels trued, Do not call these guys. Theyre all yes sure we can help you a Intel you say a electical bicycle. Then all of a sudden they cant help you even though they have Trude my wheels on this particular electric bicycle before. Some of these bicycle companies here in Tallahassee are very prejudice against electric bicycle riders. All the parts are the same as any other bicycle but bring your bicycle in which has a electrical motor on it and youll see the difference in their face these guys are not good guys.

They ordered and built a Surly cross bike for me and have been a pleasure to work with (they also can order other specialty lines, such as Salsa). They have been patient in helping me find the right position on the bike. They also provide free tune-ups during the first year. They do not push their products or accessories. I would highly recommend that you check them out.

I have been in the store a few times, bike repairs, help with various needs and they are ALWAYS very helpful, knowledgeable and take the time to talk about any concerns you might have. This is a wonderful store, I recommend it over all others. The owners are wonderful too.

I bought my first real (non-Wal-Mart) bike from these guys about 5 years ago. Theyve been super helpful throughout the years and I really like the way Im treated. They stand behind their work and put the customer first. Some things are a dollar or 2 more expensive than you find elsewhere but its worth it because theyll do things like give you a reflector for free or other sorts of nice touches.update 2017: Its been over a decade since I bought my Diamondback Peak here and Im riding it a few times per week (I need to give my other bikes some love). If youre debating getting a bike from these guys, you wont regret it.

Took my bike in to get a spoke repaired and wheel rebalanced on a Saturday afternoon. Wait time was only about an hour, and the guys working there were very nice and helpful on my first time in. Charged me exactly what they quoted. Ill come back here for future repairs.

This is a great place to get bike repairs in Tallahassee. Most recently, I had to have my shifters replaced. They tried to fix the shifters first and save me some money. I really appreciated this since Im a grad student on a tight budget. The shifters were about 20 years old and beyond repair, so they showed me new shifters in different price ranges. Ive gotten multiple repairs done there, and they are always fast. Good guys, cant recommend them enough.

These guys (Kyle and John) are great. I just needed to have my sons bike tuned up and made safe to ride. His bike is an old beat up mtn bike and I didnt want to sink a lot of $ into it. They were very good about calling me after they had evaluated the bike. We discussed what needed to be done vs what we could get away with. They worked with me and made it safe and gave me a great price. The bike was ready in a very timely manner. I would definetly recommend this shop!!

Really the best in all Tallahassee! I brought my bike in for them to modify.. They were super helpful. I was new to the biking world and they had no problem answering my ridiculous questions...Like some other reviewers say, other shops in town are elitist, its true they are. in fact they all are.. University Cycles would teach you how to ride a bike if you didnt how for free. This is one of my first business reviews I have ever written, and Im proud its for this bike shop. Check em out!!

I recently purchased a bike and lights from UCT after viewing reviews from the internet. As stated, the mechanics are completely knowledgeable and friendly. The staff also understood that they are located in a college town and didnt try to push the expensive items on you which was nice.I returned a few days after needing help with my tail light and the staff installed it without an issue. He didnt even accept the tip I offered for the trouble
