Went in today for the first time just to check the lay of the land.Spot price on silver at that point was appx $24. I asked about a 10 oz pillow bar and the guy behind the counter (Michael) says “oh, well we don’t base prices on spot, we price them by auction.” He then goes back and asks the people participating in an online auction how much to charge me.“$200,” the man in the back says.Michael comes and says, “$200.”“Sold!” I instantly sayMichael pauses, “that’s not right.”Knowing what the spot price was I said “Ill happily pay you $300 right now,” knowing they would make a good percentage.“350 plus tax.”I paid it but rest assured this will be the only purchase I make. Fool me once, shame on you

Very good auction house especially since this is my first time buying any type of firearm online. I was nervous about the whole thing, and they always reassured me with every question I asked. Shipped extremely fast too! Cant wait to participate in more firearm auctions in the future, and sorry for asking so many questions! It was my first, but surely not my last!

BEWARE! Not a true high bid auction! my hi bid on an item was $100. yet they sold it to another party for $100.Response to owner: all my years of auction going taught me that in order to break a tie bid, one party has to bid more than the other one! regardless of you took me at, i already had 100 also, so the other party should have to go 105 or 110 or even 100.01 to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know where you went to school at but, bottom line is it is your business and you can run it however you want to! thats why there are platforms like this so we can warn your other potential customers of how you operate!

I have had a solid business relationship with John for 13 years. My business dealings with Affiliated Auctions have been issue free. Over the years, I have been happy to recommend him to other business owners and friends. He has a deep knowledge of the history and value of collectibles. There isnt anything Ive asked him about that he couldnt give me an answer. Seriously, give him a try. Hes pretty amazing! Payment on sold items is quick and on time. I’ll give them a three stars for past dealings. They were really good and I picked up some really amazing things. However,I. The past few years the fakes or reports or whatever you call them they sell is way too much. I rarely bid on anything as I’m to worried it’s not legit. Wish they’d go back to the old ways, too many fakes now

I paid for the item when they invoices me 1-2 days after the auction.3 weeks goes by and I haven’t received the item yet, so I call them to find out what is going on with my item, and they said I didn’t pay for it.They took my payment agin and said that I needed to contact the Post Shipping Store to pay for shipping and that is where my item is located.Then they call me back to let me know that I had already paid for the item and the charges are being reversed.I called and talked to the Postal Store and they were going to run my card for $285 to pack & ship the item from Tallahassee to North Dallas.I contacted Affiliated to make sure that I could arrange shipping and I spoke to a woman named Angela. She came across as I was wasting her time and the opposite of quality customer service is.She seemed to think that $285 was not over priced, even though it is 3 1/2 times the item purchased.I purchase these exact type of items, “framed memorabilia” from other online auctions and they charge approx. $80 to protect, pack & ship all day long.So I would be paying $365 for the item if I didn’t call and request to arrange my own shipping.I do not recommend purchasing online from Affiliated Auctions unless you are in driving distance to arrange picking up.

For the most part, my experience doing business with these people was pleasant. The staff was helpful and walked me through the processes and steps necessary to obtain my items. I just wished they responded to my Emails faster, but overall my experience was pretty nice.

Drove from Tampa to Tallahassee to pick up my items.Called to confirm my items September 9th and 13th 2020. Called to confirm my arrival for pickup September 20, 2020. Spoke with Angela, confirmed I can pay upon pickup.Arrived to Tallahassee on September 24, 2020 for pickup. My card was charged for my orders (two invoices). They sold one of my items to someone else.Kathleen was really nice. I dont like leaving bad reviews, but seriously? How many times do I need to call you guys to confirm that either a) Im coming; b) hold my order; c) dont sell my order, Im coming. She offered me a different item for my troubles, which made the pain hurt a little less. But it doesnt replace my hotel room, gas, or effort to get to Tallahassee for my items.On September 9th, when I called for an item after the lot had passed, received the invoice for the item to confirm my purchase - it wasnt even until the end of the day when you sold it to someone else?Im hesitant to do business again with this auction house, especially with the potential to buy high-priced items.Rachel (who purchased my item) was willing to bring the item back to me. But after all of that - my purchased item has a good home.Unfortunately, they decided to CHARGE my card before they actually found the item -- so who knows how long it will be until I can receive my money BACK.Update: after much thinking, I couldnt give these guys a good review; I told Kathleen I would, but in good faith, I cannot.I notified Eshiva on September 9, 2020 immediately after the lot passed that I would like to buy this item. She confirmed it with me and I had an invoice sent out the next day. I called multiple times afterwards in the following weeks and spoke with Angela to ensure that I had intended to pay in person upon pickup. I gave her the date of my arrival to Tallahassee. She told me that my items would be waiting for me. I paid for a hotel, the gas, the effort and to take time off work. I arrived just in time to get only apologies that my items were bought by someone else and given away.I guess that fault lies on me to be faithful to my bid and purchase. Im not saying Beware of Bidding, but just because you are invoiced a lot, it doesnt mean youll get the item. Also, ASK TO SEE THE ITEM BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.I have never been so let down before by a business, and I guess I can consider myself lucky. Im actually very upset this item was lost to someone else inside their business.Rachel offered the item back to me, but I dont want it anymore. I know its not brand new, its a vintage item. But it was given to someone else already.I had been looking forward to this item for WEEKS. I work so hard for my money, only to see that effort trampled. Not only did I not get the item I paid for, I now have to wait for my refund because they charged me before finding my item.

Affiliated Auctions sells high quality and first class items. They treat there customers well and sometimes as a buyer and seller we forget how much is involved in the process. I for one owe everyone of them an apology. They sold many of my items for a lot more than I ever expected and disclosed to me that exact information. John and Katie i do respect and appreciate all your hard work and doing everything you did to make me happy. I have always recommended your sale to friends who have bought from you including my father. So if anyone wants honest and a great auction experience give affiliated an opportunity to earn your business’s just the cool items will keep you checking on them. Stopped by, nobody could answer any questions, staff never heard of any of the large national level auction houses, looking at the rifles was not allowed....... no auction preview? Was quoted a 25% sellers fee, but if they know you or you have sold there for a long time it is negotiable..... sounds like they are not wanting new business. Must be nice to be happy with what you have. As a very advanced collector I am put off of selling or buying anything through this location.... and my visit was less than 5 minutes.....

In 5/9/2019, I successfully bid on a WWI Trench Art Shrapnel Knife. #63278.When it arrived the item was clearly engraved with 1945 on the front.Obviously not a WWI piece!(It might even be post WWII)I called the company to complain and was transferred to a woman who was very curt, saying I could only get a refund if I shipped it back (without offering to pay return shipping.)I asked for a refund of just the buyers premium but she refused.Very dissatisfied!

DO NOT BUY MILITARIA FROM THEM, over 90% of the things I see listed on LiveAuctioneers are complete obvious fakes, they say “unauthenticated, Sold as is” which directly translates to “it’s fake, do not buy”.

Recommend highly, co-signor beware, they are a high volume seller and items are sold over different auction dates do not expect them to keep you updated on selling dates, UNLESS YOU ASK THEM TO, which they are happy to do. Diligent in describing items so collectors will treasure your treasures

I love Affiliated Auctions and feel comfortable with the atmosphere and professionalism displayed when I am able to attend their auctions. They appear knowledgeable and offer a variety of types of auctions.

They dont know hardly anything about guns. Took three people to figure out how to get my gun out of pawn. Guy doin the auction is a rude jackass with no idea how to speak to customers. WILL NOT be going back to the place.

This company doesnt have the experience to sell Militaria. Its mostly a collection of fakes that they sell. Ive seen so many fake items in their Live Auctioneers auctions its not even funny. They make comments like One of the best weve seen. Best what? Copy? If you dont have experience collecting Militaria do NOT buy from these people expecting them to know what they have. They really dont. For a while they put Sold as is, no guarantee which is the right thing to do...but they dont do this anymore, leading naive potential buyers to think theyve authenticated the items.

After moving from south florida to tallahassee last year Ive bidded with this company a couple of times now and have yet to be let down. Great staff thats very personal and down to earth. Even will bring an item out just for you before an auction and dont mind telling you all about it. Keep up the good work.

Paid for an auction pellet rifle over a week ago. No follow up, email, call nothing. Caveat emptor. Never again! Now I have to waste my time dealing with these clowns.

They have a horrible online bidding problem. I placed a bid in an online auction PREAUCTION so they would know that there were online bidders for this item. As the price went up continued to bid but my bid was missed. The bidding neared the end on this item and I placed my final bid, it would have been the high bid, then i waited and waited fair warning, SOLD to the person who bid less than me. So I called the auction house and ask about this and they said they have someone who watches the online bidding (someone who needs a new job apparently).The worst part of it was, I sat around for an hour and a half waiting for that item to have a schmuck who doesnt care about his job go on a coffee break.

I would give them a 0 if possible. They are rip offs. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!

Another on line service that does not treat your online bid as if you were in the room, On site bidders are also not held to the same standards as online bidders. On site bidders are not always required to comply with minimum bid increments. Appears that if they cant look you in the eye they dont feel they have to treat you as a real bidder.

If I could not even use a star I wouldnt. They are not reputable and when confronted about selling fake items they refuse to refund my money. STAY AWAY, VERY FAR AWAY...

I honestly thought the bad reviews for this place was because of people not getting their way or whatever but after spending 20 minutes at this place I wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy. The people are rude and tell you one thing on the phone and another once you get there. If I could rate this place a zero I would. Will never go back.
