I have made several purchases with this company, and I have always felt that they genuinely cared about my business, providing insight and recommendations relevant to my interests when asked.Of the three local Tallahassee shops that I do business with, this one is my favorite by far. Prices are fair given the market surrounding firearms, selection is good, and there is very little on the shelves that I would consider low-quality filler that clutters many other stores. It is worth your time to check out this establishment, and to connect with people you can give your money to with a smile.

This store has more variety for someone looking at guns than any store within 50 miles. You walk in and see the guns and they catch your eye from the second you walk in. Im a mil-surp kind of guy so the selection is amazing. Most gun stores only care about the newer rifles, but they carry a wide variety of older rifles. I bought a Yugoslavian M59/66 and it was in excellent condition. Best service and selection around

I love this place, ive come several times just to check out their inventory and they’re extremely knowledgeable and answer all of my questions. ive gone to many stores around town and this is probably one of the cheapest stores in tallahassee. most of the stuff they sell is at or near retail price. the manager and all his employees are extremely friendly. if i could give them 6 stars i would. i will definitely be coming here again!!!

This a testament to Google Reviews. Red Hills has 4.5 stars and Kevins has 4. I came to Red Hills after going to Kevins Sporting Goods the day before... WHAT A JUXTAPOSITION! Kevins had 8 employees, 0 customers, and 7 of the employees either ignored me (at best), or did/said something to make me feel unwelcome. Red Hills, 3 employees, 3 customers, and I was treated friendly and profession by all 3. The young lady helping me, b/c Ive not been in a gun shop in 33 years, was kind, patient, helpful, informative and just plain understanding. I later found out she is a co-owner of the shop (Katie). In 2 short experiences, Kevins turned me into someone who will share my negative experience with anyone who will listen, and will NEVER buy anything from them, and Red Hills solidified a customer for life. Great job Red Hills! Keep it up.

Always a great experience with this company. I have purchased a couple firearms from them in the past and that was great. However, my last experience with them was the best yet and they probably made the least amout of money.The owner literally went out of his way to make sure an FFL transfer went smoothly. I had a firearm that would have been hung up in the USPS system for 14 days had he not personally gone and taken care of a situation that wasnt his companys fault.Thank you for your great customer service. Used Red Hills for an online transfer, this was my first experience with the store. Red Hills made the process effortless. The staff is friendly and they treat their customers like family. I dont understand why anyone would go to a different shop here in Tallahassee. The store is well stocked with a variety of guns, ammo and accessories of all types. The people working in the store are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have never had an instance where I stood there and waited for help. The staff actually knows what they are talking about. They shoot regularly and can help answer questions about holsters, carry positions and whatever else may come up.I have had more then one item transferred into the store and the process is easy and fast. Plus they are the cheapest that you will find in this area for a transfer. Plus if you give them a certain item that you are looking for they will find it and they can almost always beat online prices.Overall this is a great local shop that bend over backwards to help you out and keep you coming back as a customer.

Hands down the some of the best people and for sure the best gun shop Ive found since moving to Tallahassee. It was hard to find a good gun shop considering I was use to the Nashville TN scene and how easy things were to get and find. But these guys at Red Hills have definitely earned a life long loyal customer. No retail shop will give you retail on any weapon. How would they stay in business?Red Hills is far from being over priced. Maybe they charge more than online wholesalers, but are fair and its a local business which I will always support.Im not associated with the company and did not get paid to say any of this. Ive made a couple transactions here, and window shopped a few more times. No matter what I was there for, all my needs were eagerly met by the staff. You barely make it through the door before someone asks you if you need help, and they are always willing to take one off the wall and utilize their time answering all your questions. Great people, nice store. If anyone asks though, I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident :)

The owners and their staff go above and beyond to accommodate customers constantly. They have ordered several harder to find items for me and we’re able to either match or come incredibly close to price wise for those items to what they go for online. Tristan the owner is literally a master at finding rare or older firearms and I have learned a lot from him in that aspect. They have an outstanding selection of new firearms and antique military firearms. I just negotiated a wonderful deal with owner Tristen who gave me a much more than fair deal today. Please disregard the earlier negative postings. Perhaps, this individual purchased the weapon and failed to care for it, thereby reducing the value. The staff is professional, friendly, and trustworthy. I have dealt many many times with Red Hills. They are extremely fair and the best in town. Whether you agree or disagree with gun ownership, do not disrespect and defame the livelihood of the employees here. Identify yourself and speak in person with the staff. They will gladly deal with you fairly. I bought a gun from here and 2 years later I took it another gun store to see what they would offer me for it come to find out the rifle I bought was a $300 gun and they charged be $750 for it.i feel very ripped off by this store and dont plan on going back I have bought 4 guns from them and countless rounds of ammunition.now Im telling all my gun owning friends to change stores and not go here anymore its just a waste of my hard earned money.

The reason I started going to RHA was because Kevins charges $50 for a transfer, and Red Hills charges half of that just across the street. The staff were knowledgeable and easy to talk to. However, any time there would be a sale online and I purchased a gun to transfer with them, I felt I was always harassed to buy local. When Ive called to see if they can match the price, and they say no, I go ahead and order. When I buy online I dont have to pay tax, and RHA couldnt even match the sale price. Sorry, but Im as local as local gets.Once I bought a CZ, and I asked if they could acquire CZs. The owner said they werent a big enough retailer to get CZ. Fair enough. The next time I picked up a CZ Shadow 2, and the owner mumbled under his breath we probably coulda got you one of these. Yeah, but nowhere near the price.The final straw was recently, when I was alerted by the carrier service that the package was delivered. I took lunch break, and went to pick up the used gun I was buying from out of state. When I walked in there was four employees, one of which was doing absolutely nothing, offering to provide some assistance. When I asked about it, they said they hadnt scanned it in yet and they would call me back once it was ready for pickup. It takes about three minutes to scan a firearm into the system, and the last time I did that the employee helping me out was able to scan it in while I filled out my 4473. I dont think Ill be going back. I hate to give them their first negative review but Ive had multiple occasions where they were less than stellar.

RHA is my choice for a local gun and accessory store. They have matched or beaten plenty of other brick and morter store prices, and if they dont have it in stock they can get it rather quickly. I order plenty of stuff for personal gun builds and custom work, but as is typical, online retailers or auction sites dont always deliver exactly what you order. RHA has always been able to fill in the gap. Their staff are knowledgeable and not geared towards just selling you something. Running a store and maintaining proper records of FFL items will and should always come first for any firearm retailer. Remember all the shipping service has to do is push a button and you are instantly getting an email indicating your package has been delivered. What you may not realize is that a dozen other FFL items were delivered that same day. A simple courtesy call to confirm they are ready for your transfer can solve or even prevent a minor headache. Give them a shot theyre great!

I walked into this store after living on Capital Circle NE for a long time, having no idea there was a gun store next to a frequent food joint i get my grabs Zaxbys lol. All the same, these guys took some old ammo and equipment i had for a good price and also educated me more about a gun im trying to get for concealed carry and home defense . Their price beats that of Kevins and they got friendly guys who dont look at me like a 6ft 8 threat even with a contagious smile on my face. I will get my stuff with them ASAP. Big ups Red Hills.
