Sales staff took all the time I needed educating me on the gravely line of zero turn mowers. I narrowed my choices down to a couple different models. Of course before spending that type of money my wife likes to be involved. So the salesman had to educate her too. To my surprise she chose the higher priced model. And then went further and upgraded the seat with the adjustable deluxe seat with suspension. Something I probably would not have done but so happy she did. I guess there is nothing too good for my wife as it was her mothers day gift.(just kidding about the gift). I was super happy with the transaction from beginning to end. thanks so much

Called them as the authorized warranty repair dealer for a mower. They wanted $80.00 to look at the mower. This was right in line with my pass experience when I carried a pressure washer to them to change the oil in the pump. You owe us $40.00 for telling you it needs oil in the pump. We ran it without oil and now its broke. I put new seal and oil in it myself it still running 5 years later.

From the second I entered the store I was greeted with southern hospitality. The team asked pertinent questions about my yard, the layout of my yard, and different obstacles that I will have to get around while mowing. They then recommended a specific tractor that would best suit my needs and explained all of the intricate details of why it would be my best choice. The purchasing process was seem less and only took about 5 minutes. As I do not have a truck, they delivered the tractor to my house on the same day. The gentleman who dropped the tractor off went through everything about the tractor from start to finish. Really poor customer service! Sales people are okay but service is staffed by some rude fellows of the baser sort, who honest-to-God, have a signal light to indicate when they should not cuss and swear because decent people are present. I was alright with the $20 they charged for a diagnostic and the fact that they took apart my blower to see that it had a degraded gasket. However, when they gave it back in pieces and rudely asked for more money to reassemble it, I decided to give them lots of free advertising. My recommendation is that they hire a group of decent service techs and move to a better location. Otherwise, I guarantee that they will not survive.

Have been a customer now for just 2 years and have purchased a Gravely zero turn and a Stihl Kombi 130 along with a bunch of attachments but can only say great things about Southside. I have interacted with over half of dozen people there ( both owners, along with the sales and service department) and all have been great and have taken the time to make sure I got the answers I was looking for. They offer top quality service and products so one should not expect the cheapest possible price ( find a big box store if thats the goal) but you will 100% get what you pay for and that is my goal.

Its the small things that count. I took my mower in for a routine service and the technician found my lost pocket knife. It had, obviously, fallen out of my pocket and landed in the bowels of the machine. The technician could have slipped it in his pocket and no one would have know. However, he put it in the cupholder for me to find when I got home. Thanks

I purchased a riding lawn mower from Lowes and shortly after that the motor started smoking. I, thankfully, purchased a 2 year warranty.The warranty people set me up with a repair shop on the east side of town. The repair shop pick up the lawn mower and about a week later returned it. The lawn mower still smoked.I call the warranty people they again set me up with the same repair shop. The repair shop pick up the lawn mower and about a week later returned it. The lawn mower rans BETTER than it did when it was new and has been working great ever since!I would recommend using Southside for all small engine repair.

MOST DISHONEST BUSINESS I HAVE FOUND IN TALLAHASSEE!!!I dropped off my 1 year old pressure washer because it was running roughly and not starting easily. When I picked it up 2 weeks later and the engine cover was rusted. They left it outside for two weeks exposing it to rain and morning dampness. When I mentioned it, they just shrugged and “Well, that happens when it’s outside and we don’t have room to keep it inside.”Then they informed me that it wasn’t worth repairing because I needed a complete carburetor rebuild and that was going to cost me $350 — “more than the pressure washer is worth.” I told them it was a $550 pressure washer that was only 1 year old and that it should just need its regular maintenance. They stood by their claim that I either needed a new carburator or or a rebuild... I could take the the pressure washer home if I wanted..... or just leave it with them and they could get rid of it for me. None of this sounded right to me.I took the pressure washer home and went on line to see if I could find any solutions there. I discovered that a brand-new carburator cost about $50 and is simple to install— maybe 20 minutes. But I didn’t even have to do that! Instead, bought a $5 can of carburator cleaner, pulled off the carburator and cleaned it myself and put it back. Half hour job.I suspect that if I had taken their “advice” and scrapped it, leaving them to “get rid of it” then they would have done what I did: take some carburator cleaner to it, get it running and resell it at a tidy profit.

So Im renting my first home and with it came the responsibility of keeping the yard mowed. A push mower had been left in the yard for at least a year and Southside Mower had every single little gasket and seal and part and even advice that I needed to get the carburetor rebuilt and the mower running again for less than 20 dollars. I cant thank these guys enough.

Took our 8th month old mower here because they are a kohler engine dealer and it should still have been under warranty. We were told it was the carburetor and the warranty was rejected (dont get me started on how stupid it is that a carburetor is not covered on an 8th month old machine when we took care of it correctly) and they want to charge us what a new mower would cost to fix it! Husband asks how we can appeal the warranty decision and the guy tells him to call Kohler and get him a warranty approval number or something like that. Wont give us a number to call or a person to talk to. I spend 8 fricking hours altogether on the phone trying to reach a claims specialist or just Kohler customer service. I finally find someone who tells me that I have been sent on a wild goose chase and their is no way for him to help me because 1. no warranty claim was ever filed to appeal and 2. only the dealer can make that kind of request. I then called the little a**hole at Southside myself to find out what was up. He was the most condescending jerk I have ever spoken to in my life. He had lied to us about ever requesting warranty coverage and acted like I was trying to get away with not paying them for work and practically accused me of trying to steal. He spoke to me like I was a child. Just because I am a woman does not mean I dont understand business or small engines. I own the power tools in my house. We decided to not get our mower serviced there. They would not refund our $24 deposit even after we pointed out they never gave us pictures of the issue or showed us directly, so how do we even know they did that work? Take you business to Northside Mowers. They did the job for $100 less, do not require a deposit, and know how to speak respectfully to customers.

I took my mower to south side mower to get it fix and when I got it home it still had the same problem as I had before. I than took it back in they told me its nothing they could do about it. They could have told me this before they took my money the first time and I would have just purchase a new mower from them. But since they cheated me I will never do business with anyone associated with southside mower in subject anyone whom dont know about working on mower to do business with them.
Had the parts when all others said they were no longer made. On the shelf. Thanks to Mr. Phil. Went the extra mile.
