I don’t enjoy writing this review but others may benefit from my experience and my first dealings with Bert Smith Porsche of Tampa Fl. Unfortunately, it was met with low expectations at a premium cost.The ask was a simply oil change and was in search of a local dealership to perform. 1) When making the appt, took 17 days to get on the calendar; sure this was COVID impacts but felt excessive wait time to get it schedule. 2) Arrive @ 7:25am for my 7:30am appointment but kept me waiting for the lounge for 40 minutes(this was just for the check-in). I was only 1 of 2 dropping off that morning. My advisor was late so no one else came to assist even after three attempts to let them know I was now late for work. 3) Never a call back later in the day to tell my car was ready. I called 4 different times and no one answers. Last time asked the receptionist to blast an email as to the status & call me back. I am an hour away and was already 3:30pm before a call back was offered. 4) Asked if a few small courtesy items were checked along with the oil change. Answer was “no”, that info was not turned over when the late advisory finally showed up. 5) Also, Bert Smith never told me the cost of the oil change until the pick-up.Given it’s a Porsche and the dealer, was expecting a higher than typical Ford or Honda change but.... My total, and again for one simply oil change and nothing else was $655. Next day called four other Porsche dealers within 90 miles of Tampa, prices change from a low of $260 to a high of $420 So the $655 was $235 higher than their highest competition. I take the blame for this as should had asked when I made the appointment.Talked with the maintenance manager twice and was very pleasant, responsive and offered a partial refund to match the other dealers oil change price. So happy about price but terrible on customer service. In closing, asked service manager to put me in touch with the new finance manager to look at an extended warranty. That was three weeks ago with no call back. Not asking to be treated like royalty but Bert Smith needs to step up the customer service to match others even low-end dealers service level, especially at their extreme high service rates.
Not sure about all the 5 star reviews. I purchased a 2017 macan CPO which has only been a problem due to the lack of inspections at time of purchase. 1. Owned the car for a few weeks and the wheel sensors caused the car to be non driveable. Had it towed by porsche to reeves on the weekend and was unable to get the car behind the gate. Had to leave it on the side of the road (Florida Ave) for the night 2. I got in the car at purchase and the passenger vent is broken just hanging there. 3. Open the hood and removed the engine cover where there is a missing rubber donut which makes it rattle and wear. 4. The seat belt light is pushed in requiring replacement. 5. Now im dealing with the engine air filter delaminating on both intake vents ( Had this in for same problem recently). 6. Had an oil change $448.19 and looked under the car and see missing screw on the oil pan cover. Dealer said it came in that way CPO should not be that way. All repairs have been made except the engine air filter problem which i have been unable to set a repair date after several messages and e-mails to Simon Kuhnimhof and service advisor Mike Hare who is on vacation. I only want the repairs completed as per CPO sales pitch. Waste of my professional time and theres. It all could have been avoided if the car was properly certified at time of purchase. The car is just right for me, just tired of lack of service follow through. Only had the car 10 months and 7,000 miles. PCA member.
I got my lease from Robert Kearney back in May and the experience was amazing. He was so great about letting me know where my car was and how long it would take to arrive and he was overall so amazing. Unfortunately, I had an accident which caused me to take my car in but luckily I had the tire and wheel package and needed a new wheel. Mike (not sure of his last name)in the service department has been amazing and got me a loaner and even is helping me by getting it to my house so I can have it while we wait on the wheel to arrive. Just had two new tires installed for my 2018 Boxster S with the help of Mike DeLeon. Just moved here from Nashville and wasn’t sure what to expect. I am a very busy professional, and it’s no secret that car purchases are one of my least favorite endeavors. But Scott Mordue was the best! I was researching where to buy my Porsche from, and based on the Google reviews on here, I decided a. to go to Porsche of Tampa (aka Reeves), and b. to deal with Liam Cunliffe. Ive glad that I did, and I wanted to give back to these Google reviews. Im sure that theres a lot of people reviewing the various Porsche dealerships and theyre not quite sure which will serve them well (like I was) so hopefully this will help. I called and scheduled an appointment to meet with Liam. He had a day off so we met a few days later. I told him that my goal was to test drive a few models and see which car I wanted, then hopefully purchase a Porsche. I was in information overload. I had read all Porsche Macan reviews in Car and Driver, and Edmunds, and anywhere else online. I had watched countless YouTube reviews (does this sound like you?) and I finally knew - I needed to sit in the vehicle and test drive. When I arrived, Liam remembered our conversation and I told him the order in which I wanted to test drive the Macan Base, the Macan S, then the Cayenne, and finally the Panamera. In that order (I didnt want to drive the most powerful first, only to be disappointed with the others). And thats exactly what we did. We took about 3 hours and I test drove everyone of those vehicles. I asked questions along each drive and he asked for feedback along each drive and after each (ya know, how a test drive is supposed to be). At the end of the day, considering my needs and vehicles available, etc. I landed on going with the Show Room model of the Porsche Macan (see picture). While I had to leave that afternoon, after about 4 hours there (I had meetings), Liam was a gentleman and offered no pressure or attitude. He wanted to ensure that I got the car that I wanted. With reviewing Certified Pre Owned loaners, and even ordering a car direct from Germany as options as well. The following day he contacted me as planned. We agreed to terms and I went down to the dealership to complete the transaction. Once at the dealership, I went Frank Mandarino (Sales and Business Manager) and we went through all the details of the transaction. We also talked about...ya know, life. Frank was a great guy. Liam went through all the associated packages available for purchase (again, no pressure) and even put my tag and tag frame on the vehicle for me. I was there maybe 2 hours at most. Thats it. Flawless transaction and a great experience. I had some items that needed to be installed later and Liam has communicated with me and thats scheduled. Overall, the easiest car buying experience ever. Maybe my wife will get a Porsche in the future, and I seem to be a Porsche for life guy now. So if I can expect that level of ease and maturity in the future, Im sure Ill be dealing with Liam and Frank again. I love my vehicle. I think they were fair. And they didnt stress me out (which Ive had on previous experiences). Yes - I got to take a breathe. If this sounds like your previous experiences, and maybe you want a level of quality above that (because you can buy a Porsche and dont want to deal with nonsense), then Id recommend giving Liam and Frank a call and making an appointment. Be direct with them, and I think theyll be direct with you. Its a relationship and theyre investing in the long term (theyll see you in the future) and I think you feel that at Porsche of Tampa. Theyve not ask me to write this, but I did so at my own will because these guys work hard and sometimes you only hear the negative. Give them a shot. Hopefully this helps you in buying a Porsche.

If I had the money for one, I would have walked out with a Porsche just based on the service.

Finally got thru day later and was told they can’t look at my car for three days because they are too busy. I get better service and attention from my Chevy dealer
Im not one to post much publicly, but my experience with Porsche of Tampa was so exemplary that I feel compelled to share.Im extremely picky when it comes to vehicles. I know what I want and spend many months shopping for the perfect mix of colors, options, and condition. After looking at several dealerships in my local area, I expanded my search, and found the perfect vehicle in the Reeves dealership network. Since I was driving from out of town I called in advance to set an appointment and verify that the vehicle was in stock. I was fortunate to speak with Liam Cunliffe, and although the vehicle had just come in and was not yet on the lot he was quick to verify the details and follow up with me. Liam was always available to promptly answer my questions, but never pressured me. Given my schedule and distance it was over a week before I could make the trip over, and during that time Liam sent photos, oversaw the prep of the vehicle, and arranged for me to submit an application for financing (thus beating my local credit unions already very competitive rate). I was trading in my previous Porsche, and although the team could not review the car in person we were able to come to a tentative valuation and trade deal in advance.Once onsite, the Reeves team reviewed my car, gave me the run through on the new car, completed all paperwork (thanks to Frank Mandarino the business manager), and had me out the door in under 45 minutes. This is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. No games, no pressure, no Let me ask my manager pricing negotiations. Its a high end dealership with a premium product, but still has a very warm and friendly atmosphere that puts you at ease. No sales guys with silk ties and overpriced shoes judging whether or not you look like a real buyer. In contrast, we purchased a different brand of vehicle for my wife the previous week and it was far more painful and time consuming than the Porsche of Tampa experience.I am not local to Tampa, but I can guarantee that all of my future vehicle purchases will begin with the Reeves family of dealerships. If youre shopping for a Porsche do you yourself a favor and start with Porsche of Tampa. Theyll make you a customer for life.
The ultimate Porsche experienceI ordered my 2021 Carrerra S 7 speed manual aero kit 5 months ago. What an amazing car. I could not have asked for a better more amazing experience it more than exceeded my expectations. I have bought many exotics from Vipers to Ferraris but this experience aquiring this car has topped it all especially the amazing rev matching and the wing of an Angel with curves and sounds that can be topped by nothing. I just bought my 2014 911 last November and started to get the Interim Service Reminder even though it was early since the car had such low mileage. I called Reeves and spoke with Jeff a service advisor and he kindly suggested I wait till this April to complete it which I did. The service scheduling and execution was flawless, I (and most importantly the car) was treated very well while waiting for the car and it was completed before the time frame he estimated and for less than the initial quote. Im very pleased and will return again for further assistance; it feels really good knowing the car is in expert hands for the scheduled maintenance. Thank you.

My latest purchase, a custom order 2018 718 Cayman was a good experience. They delivered when others said no allocations available. Great dealership! 5 star experience with Rob as the sales person. He was patient, understanding, and listened to my needs. Frank, the manager is a no non sense guy which I truly appreciate. Porsche creates the ultimate driving machine and if you are considering one I highly encourage you to take one for a test drive. This is my 2nd Porsche and it’s truly my favorite vehicle I’ve ever driven.
Reeves Porsche Service goes well above even excellent service. I needed a loaner on a Saturday and even though Service was closed my Service Manager, Jeff Holcomb, was there and he took in my car and got me a loaner. And they did a superb job putting on new tires and aligning them. I always say that when I buy a new Porsche from Reeves, and I’ve bought three over the years, my salesman needs to share his commission with Service because that is why I buy my cars at Reeves.

Sales department was good but service after the fact not so good. I expect with luxury brands to have luxury service. When we have had service issues with our Porsche, there has been no attempt to pickup car and bring us a loaner vehicle. I have experienced better service even with Cadillac, Lexus, etc. When we did bring in the vehicle ourselves, they gave us a Ford loaner vehicle in return. Didn’t give me warm and fuzzy feeling like Mercedes service. Nice cars but still need some work to catch up to their competitors.

Every time I visit this dealership I get the red carpet treatment. Matt and Jeff in service always accommodate me with appointments and the technicians have repaired things the other Porsche dealership in town could not. Always very honest. I recently became the proud owner of used 986 which I purchased somewhere else.I wanted a complete inspection of the car and took it into Porsche of Tampa.The entire staff was very friendly and courteous.The waiting area was very comfortable.My inspection was completed in 2.5hrs as stated and the entire inspection was thoroughly reviewed with me to my satisfaction. A+ for the service department.I have also ordered parts online with them and their service is also top shelf.

Porsche of Tampa is an outstanding dealership. I have been a customer for 33 years. I am always treated with respect as a valued customer. My service writer, Chuck Henry, keeps up with the service needed on my vehicles and always provides me with a very nice Porsche loaner while my Porsche is in for service. The service manager, Jeff Holcombe, always calls me following service to make sure I am satisfied with the service.
I purchased a Porsche 911 and was totally satisfied with the service from Javier in Sales and Frank in Finance. Beautiful car, fair price, transparent process and great customer care! I’ve been to Reeves customer for 15 years and continue to be very satisfied and keep returning your after year for my new high-end vehicles.
It seems that taking the car for service for just an oil change will end up costing an outrageous amount, $1,800. Not sure why a three year old car would have manufacturing issues already.Ps: my issue is with the manufacturing quality for which I had higher expectations. Reeves of Tampa are a great dealership with excellent service personnel.

I was so impressed with Reeves service department. In fact I got a call from James in service because they got a survey from me by mistake saying something negative. I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say and Im so impressed that they actually follow up when they do get something negative. I wish all companies were like Reeves Porsche of Tampa! 5 Stars for sure!
Apparently if you’re younger (in your 20’s) the dealership won’t give you the light of day. Very unfriendly, didn’t even let me test drive a car. Took my business elsewhere and bought a car yesterday. Reeves don’t judge based on age... happened to me the last time I bought a BMW and tried to go to Reeves and just bought a BMW at a different dealership because Reeves did the same thing. So not a one time thing.
Outstanding service. Even when something unexpected comes up, they make it right. If they make a mistake, they own the mistake up front and fix it. Smooth operation, walk in door, hand over your keys, get a cup of coffee and be prepared to be impressed. Highly recommend.
Matt Rouse is the really excellent service advisor at Reeves. He is always helpful and fair and I have dealt with him for quite a number of years over quite a number of Porsche purchases. He is one of the reasons that I keep buying Porsches.

My wife and I purchased an Audi Q7 from Javier Gerena yesterday (even though he works for Porsche) and all I can say is, that if I could give more than 5 stars on this review, I would. Not only was he knowledgeable, but the professionalism and comfort I experienced buying from Javier was unlike any car buying experience I have ever had. I dont know if I could have been more informed when purchasing my vehicle, and that is a true reflection on Javiers customer service.I live up in Jacksonville, and I can say with 100% certainty, that when we are looking to buy our next car, not only will we be driving 4 hours to come to Reeves, but we will be specifically asking for Javier to help us. If you are looking to buy a car and you are within a few hours of Tampa, it is absolutely worth your time to come to the Reeves to purchase your next car.Reeves, you have just earned a customer FOR LIFE!
A 2 star review probably requires some explanation and its a little lengthy. In the last 35 years, I have purchased 17 cars/trucks that Reeves sells (8 Porsches, 6 Land Rovers, 2 BMWs and 1 H1). Only one of these vehicles was purchased at Reeves in spite of giving them the opportunity on most of them to sell me a vehicle. It was so bad when I wanted a H1 that when I went in and spoke with Bill Eichmann, he treated me like I was getting a puppy and he had to decide if I was worthy. He finally called me A MONTH after I was in and said he would sell me one but I had already purchased a new H1 in Orlando. I did buy one Porsche from Reeves in an unremarkable sales experience. The final straw was recently when I was looking for a Cayenne or Range Rover for my wife and asked them for a value on my GT3 (I am selling my GT3 because I have ordered a GT3RS from another dealer. Reeves couldnt or wouldnt order me one.) Another Porsche dealer offered me $105K trade in value SIGHT UNSEEN and I had 4 other offers from individuals from $102K to $107K, Bill was kind enough to offer me $80K for my car. He knows it was a $100,000+ car but thought he might be able to steal it. I have since purchased a Range Rover and promised myself never to return to Reeves.If you cant find a better deal than Reeves then youre just not looking very hard.

Between our AWESOME salesman Michael and the colorful business manager Frank we ended up with our dream car at the best price we have found anywhere. We purchased a used car and the entire dealership went our of their way to make us feel like we bought a new car. Any imperfection we found was addressed and never a quip about it. Jeffrey, Matt and the entire service team are top notch period. Have been to many different dealership before, and no one holds a candle to the team here when it comes to service. I have been treated like I am their only customer from day one, something you dont see much in todays world. Wouldnt trust anyone else with my Porsche service.
Vehicle warranty issue corrected in timely manner and loaner provided free of charge which is nice. Service rep was helpful and friendly. My less than 5 star rating has nothing to do with the actual service on my vehicle but I would think that a Porsche dealership handing out a loaner would at least make sure it was clean, every loaner I’ve had was pretty dirty inside, I guess it’s hard to complain since it was complimentary but would tend to expect more from the brand. If I could do 4.5 I would, but I’ve had loaners from lesser names that were always immaculate inside. No reason why I wouldn’t go back for warranty related issues.
Dealt with the service department and had a fantastic experience. They gave me a 718 Cayman as a rental which was stellar. Thanks to Matt for turning my warranty issue into a very pleasant experience! Porsche of Tampa (Reeves) is leaps and bounds better than Bert Smith, well worth the extra distance for me.

Javier Gerena has been great to work with and I have never had such as patient and professional sales associate, and I have bought a LOT of cars (and motorcycles)! I look forward to the process of tracking the ordered Porsche with Javier and getting back into one very soon! And thanks to Reeves for supporting the military/veterans, which very few do (when they all should)! Update: The car arrived the delivery experience was just what I expected - perfect! All of my requests were fulfilled and it was the smoothest process I have ever done, and I have done a lot. Thanks to Javier, Jeff, Bill and everyone else for everything, and I will be back for service when the time comes!

Brought my car in for a tiny warranty item. They got me in fast and out quick with the repair done and a car wash too. The staff is always courteous and accommodating. For never being interested in the brand, I cant imagine going anywhere else from here on out. Five star treatment all around.
