I needed to have a fuel tank, rear tires and emergency break fixed. Called this location and Jay took great care of me. We went in based on the reviews and all I can say is WOW! From the second I walked in, Jay gave me amazing customer service! Our cars A/C died and he offered to check it for free. They vacuumed the whole system and recharged it with freon, then found that the compressor was bad and wouldnt run as it should. He quoted me for the job and offered a time frame for completing the job that was exact. The A/C is blowing like it did 7 years ago out of the dealership. Had turn it down to 1 since I was getting too cold! A nationwide warranty, a fast and quick job and amazing customer service. I was very impressed! I called them and they told me to bring my car in at 10 am. They diagnosed the problem (a/c compressor) and called me back to advise they could do it the same day. My car was ready by 3 pm all fixed!!!They even called me a week later to make sure I was satisfied. They definitely earned my business!!!

Owning an older truck means that Ive had experience with frequent repairs. I have been to nearly every mechanic in the south Tampa area, so believe me when I say that the people at Ice Cold Air are some of the best in the business. I needed an entire brake job, from hoses to calipers and everything in between. They had me back up in running in under 24 hours. The best part is that they saved me $500 from a quote I got from a corporate competitor just down the street.They explained everything to me.They didnt once try to up-sell me.They even called a week later to make sure that I was satisfied with their service and had no issues.Needless to say, I think I found my auto mechanics for the foreseeable future.Highly highly recommended!

This shop is a joke! Managers are rude and short. They never communuate with you. I plainly see workers taking short cuts in front of customers. I own an older vehicle and have been taking it to Ice Cold Air on South Dale Mabry for years. Jay always explains all issues thoroughly and is honest when it comes to necessary versus recommended repairs.

Ive come to this place often for a decade. They have worked on at least half dozen cars over the years. But I moved to california four years ago and just recently returned to the Tampa area. On my way into Tampa my BMW transmission suddenly went into safe mode. Fearing the worst I limped the car back to Ice Cold Air. I figured they would not be familiar with the obscure transmission details unique to my model. To my surprise they were very familiar with the problems of my particular car. They quickly identified the problem and cleared the condition enough to get me back on the road. They advised me of several eventual repair options and what not to do before repairs are made. They charged me $100 for the diagnosis and said they would apply that to any repairs.They were knowledgeable, honest, easy-to-understand, and treated me fairly. Sure is nice to have a mechanic you can trust.

I tried them for the first time and will be back. I own an 8.5 year old Armada Platinum and do all I can to keep it in excellent condition. Was having a problem with heavy clunking in front suspension when weight shifted from side to side. Another shop couldn’t find anything wrong, they lubed it and sent me on my way. Ice Cold Air gave a friendly greeting, listened patiently to my explanation, called me in about an hour to explain the problem, and had it fixed by early afternoon. The charge was reasonable and the pickup experience good. No muss, no fuss, effective and clean repair.

Ice Cold Air has always taken great care of my car and also of me! One time my car wouldnt start and someone came out to me where I was stranded, jumped the battery, drove the car back to the shop to diagnose and fix it and then brought it back to me. This meant I didnt have to miss work! Service that is totally above and beyond!

My car dealership told me I needed new front and rear brakes. I called up Ice Cold to have them take a look at my truck. They took me in right away. Dre is awesome. Take your vehicle here for everything! I used to go to the dealer for everything until I realized they were fraudulently telling me I needed expensive repairs I didn’t need. Now I go to Ice Cold Air for everything. These guys do great work and they’re HONEST about the job (an unfortunate rarity today). In one case, my battery died. They could have put in a battery, but instead they noticed I had a dealer battery that was less than a year old and was probably still under warranty. So they sent me to the dealer & didn’t even charge me a penny. This is the ultimate in customer care. These guys now have a customer for life! I highly recommend.

Finally an auto shop that’s honest! I had been told by my former auto shop Brazeal that I needed new brake pads and I should change them within the month. Since I only have 43,000 miles on my car, I asked Ice Cold Air Discount Auto to take a look at my brake pads. Ice Cold Air did, found that they were fine (only 50% worn) and didn’t charge me anything. They are now my car’s auto shop going forward.

I initially took my 97 Honda Prelude problem child in for no clutch pedal pressure issue. They repaired by replacing slave and master cylinder. Worked nicely and was fair price for parts and labor. Pedal was adjusted properly and had great feel. Unfortunately a clutch fluid line also had issue. It did not show itself in loss of clutch pedal pressure until Friday. Repair was around 1 month ago. Jay the manager arranged for 2 techs to come to my house..it is very close to their shop, but still was above and beyond expectations. They were able to get car to shop. They repaired beyond warranty expectations because line needed to be replaced. My personal experience with them over the years(3rd car they worked on for me) has always as it should be. This last experience was amazing. Techs from shop showed up promptly, were professional, and fixed issue.

Recently purchased a 2014 Tahoe and had Jay at Ice Cold Air check out the check engine light. When he found out it was new (to me) he gave it a bumper-to-bumper look through and reported back. The check engine light was for an oxygen sensor and he tested all 4. He told me that one was totally dead, one was close to dead, and two were fine. This was all at 2:30pm. I asked him what else needed to be fixed. He said everything looks good, but to think about changing the Transmission fluid sometime soon (certainly didnt try to push it on me at all). I asked when he could have it done by... He said to pick it up after work. TWO HOURS LATER! I couldnt believe it. Basically a flawless experience that couldnt be scripted any better in my opinion. They were referred to me so I was already willing to give them a fair shot. I will now be taking my car there from now, no brainer.

I tried this place upon recommendation from a coworker and am very glad I did. The AC in both my wifes car and mine had been blowing warm for a while and I was afraid I was going to have to drop a small fortune to get them fixed. This place was honest, fair and quick. Fortunately the problems were with the condensers and not the evaporators, so they were able to fix both cars for a lot less than I feared, and also changed the oil and filters upon my request. Came in early in the morning to have my cars AC looked at - while in the waiting room I was periodically given updates as to the findings / symptoms of the car. After having an electrical inspection it was determined I needed a new compressor - in a matter of two hours I had a new AC compressor for $300 dollars less of what I wouldve had to pay for at a dealership - part and service included!. Best of all they give you a 12 month warranty on the part! Very happy I took my car to this shop, if I ever have an issue with a car Im coming here

Took forever to get to my car when I had an appointment. Tried to charge me double what every other place in town is charging. And what the exact same company charges at their Clearwater location. Sketchy. And didn’t offer to price match or beat the competitors price. Won’t be coming back.

Truly, truly disappointingThe staff is friendly, but friendly doesnt fix your car. I took my car there to have basic maintenance work done that I asked about and, services that they recommend be done. Basic things that needed to be done they seemed to make minor mistakes. Things that they said needed to be done took several visits to them and didnt get done correctly. I spent a couple thousand dollars with them. Im now having services done by someone who is capable and specializes in doing what needs to be done (foreign cars). The new mechanic noticed the spliced job that they did with one of the repairs Ice Cold performed. My car runs less efficiently since taking it to them.I would have more respect for them if they had said that they couldnt or didnt specialize in doing what needed to be done to my car.If you like your car and dont want additional headaches dont go to them. Take the time to research a mechanic who specializes in your make/brand or take to a dealership.Use Ice Cold if its the last resort, you dont care for your car or you just dont care about wasting and loosing your money.Truly disappointingPS corporately they wont be there for you if its a complaint and they dont really care if you are not pleased.

Ashley (the new manager) has transformed the location into a great place to take your car.Ive been there several times, my boyfriend and his parents also go there.Always satisfied and Keith (the head mechanic I believe) is always friendly and remembers us.The one time I was unhappy (because the guy ringing up the transaction was new and did stuff wrong), I contacted Ashley and she fixed it right away.So happy to have found a good, reliable, valuable auto repair place.

My experience was fine as was my husbands until we discovered that they must have only finger tightened the lug nuts on one of the tires after a rotation. Our tire could have easily fallen off on the highway as the nuts gradually loosened further. This is inexcusable and we will absolutely not be returning. That level of complacency is highly dangerous! Im glad we were able to catch it before a tragedy took place. Great groupon on the oil change though!

Worst auto repair place Ive ever been to. If your looking to get ripped off this is the place for you. I take my truck in for an a.c. repair, they tell me its leaking and it cost $940.00 to fix. It gets done. The very next day a.c still blowing out hot air. I Take it in AGAIN tell them what going on. They take a look at it again and tell me its good to go this time. So cool, but then the very next day its blowing out hot air. So AGAIN I take it to them. This time they tell me its another leak. And it would cost me $1200.00. so you can imagine how frustrated i got. Told them this should have been fixed a long time ago and I wasnt going to put another penny. They refused to fix my one problem and scammed me out of my $940.00 all the while. So do yourselves the favor and avoid this place like a plague.

My AC would blow hot whenever the temp outside got above 85 which, in Tampa, is often. I took my Chevy Tahoe to 3 different mechanic shops. First said it was a frion problem, refilled it for 200 bucks and it broke again next time it was hot. Second shop performed a 300 dollar dye test and found a possible leaky valve which was another 200 to replace. Next heat wave: broken. You get the idea. I was recommended this place by a work colleague. They told me it was an electrical problem for free but charged 90 bucks to do full diagnostics. Thats why the one star off, as I felt the free Evaluation is misleading as it led to a not-free evaluation. 90 bucks later they found it was a sensor which measures the pressure in the compressor and turns if off of there is a problem. As the sensor was broken, no power went to the compressor. They foxed it for 120 bucks+90 diagnostic = 200 total. AC was blowing cold in 95 degrees today. Im ecstatic. Good results at a fair price. They seem like honest people and my biggest complaints are some mildly misleading ads, could be easier to enter/exit the lot (D Mabry traffic) and old coffee creamer ( pretty minimal ) I would recommend this place. I will update if it breaks next week but they say they warranty the work for a year...

Risk free place to bring your car if youre having issues. I was having some electrical issues on my car that really shouldve been addressed by the dealership, but I tried Ice Cold Air to see if I could save some money. They fixed most of my problems, and refunded me for what they couldnt fix, so you really cant lose by bringing your car to this shop. These are about the lowest prices I can find, so stop here to get as much of the work done as possible before bringing it to the dealer or a specialist. I have an older BMW with very specific problems, so unless that also applies to you, this shop should be able to easily fix most of your issues. They had most of my problems taken care of in just one day.

Jay and Ashley run a great place here. Always honest, fast, convenient and reasonable. I once had really bad brake problems on which they said I might need much more repairs than anticipated. It turned out they werent needed and I was very relieved (but they could have lied and told me they were to make more $, but they didnt- I dont know a thing about cars). I will always come back here.
