Borter Glass is the most reliable place I have had the pleasure to be in cooperation with. I have been able to handle hundreds of projects for over 2 decades with the partnership of Borter. Customer service and quality is unparalleled everytime!

Don’t waste your time at this place. Emailed multiple times and traced it out just like they asked and drove all the way out here for them to tell me they can’t do it. Why not tell me that before when I showed the exact piece I needed and talked it through. Useless place find somewhere else to go. Don’t even care much that they wasted my time.

After buying our glass here since 2012, we are done. We own a design and construction firm, and used to buy every project mirror from Borter, and would also refer clients here for their own projects. But after the most nauseatingly rude and pedantic interaction with “Mrs. Borter”, we will never buy from here again. I’m not sure if it’s because I mentioned my wife, or if she’s just this rude to everyone, but what should have been a routine conversation about a bathroom mirror went south quickly. I’m disgusted by their lack of respect and customer service, and will support any glass company that is not them.

Support this local business! I had a great experience from start to finish. My job was for three pieces of glass for tabletop protection. I got quotes over the phone for both tempered and non-tempered glass. I was pleasantly surprised by the quote (very reasonable compared to another shop I had called). The work was completed within the expected timeline. The cuts were perfect.

Called them to have two store front glass windows replaced and they had someone come out the same day to take measurements. Tina called me within a few hours with an extremely fair quote that included installation. Withing a week the glass was installed and we were rocking and rolling. I highly recommend them!

Don appears to be a hot head with the communication skills of a 10 year old. I am a state licensed General contractor. Trust me when I tell you not to wast your time with this company. There are many other glass companies that will treat you with the respect that is lacking at this place and give you a much better product for your money.

Just had the glass on a framed diploma replaced, I showed up kinda late in the day but they took care of it did an awesome job!

This place is great, we have an older home and have no trouble at all getting the glass pieces needed and the framing to install. The prices are very fair, the people are friendly and the service is always fast. We have been coming here for over 10 years and have always been happy customers.

DO NOT order glass from this company! Don and Tina need lessons in customer service and Mr. Borter needs to learn how to do the right thing when a defective piece of glass, that was delivered 2 months ago, spontaneously cracks. I ordered a 55inch round 1/4 thick polished edge glass top for my new kitchen table. Nothing fell on it and it was not used in a way that would have caused it to crack the way it did. I was sitting on my couch and heard 2 popping sounds. I found that the glass had cracked all the way thru and across. They would not do anything about it and basically said it was impossible for this to just happen. I will NOT ever refer them or use them again. $250 down the drain. I have received better customer service from wayfair. The pictures and video i took meant nothing to them. They get their glass from China per their delivery man. Tina hung the phone up on me.

I hired this company years ago and was charged $5000 in which I was very happy with their job. Now I am looking at doing the same exact job and received a fax (Hey guys, fax has been long gone, try email) for more than $8,000. I called over their and the receptionist was very nice. She transferred me over to Mr. Borter and he answers the phone with his name. (How about hello this is your name how can I help you?) I explained to him that I had the same job and he just rants and raves about how glass has tripled and aluminum has tripled, etc. He said the price is the price so I just hung up and said I will try elsewhere.

Went there this afternoon after being referred from someone in HDepot. Terrible experience. I rang the bell like the sign asked me to. No response. Rang it again older lady in back said I heard it someone will be with you. I waited and waited, mind you in the only one there. Just so happen to look in one of the spot mirrors they have facing the back. Four people back there. One sitting at a desk filing her nails, the older woman was at least on the phone at one point, older man had come out of the bathroom and sat right down and an older employee from the back walked past me three times and did not even stop to ask is someone helping you. No problem, I went right on to the next glass shop down Busch Blvd and placed my orders for glass.

Not a pleasant interaction on my one & only visit here. Ill find another place to do business

Ordered a custom sized glass piece to protect an antique coffee table. It was perfect workmanship and ready in 2 days. Worth every penny!

Long story short the 2nd piece of glass purchased was not the right size and the worker (Borter employee) confirmed it wasnt the right size. However the owner said it was in the allowable margin of error and could not help.

Ive been using these guys for many years for projects ranging from simple window pane replacements to custom shower glass enclosures. They are knowledgeable and experienced. The prices are inline with (or slightly less than) local competitors.

Quick Version: Hired them to do custom shower doors, they gave approximate time lines for work getting done which not only did they not meet, they didnt contact us to let us know. When we contacted them, it took over eight minutes to find our paper work and the woman stated our paperwork was under a pile on Mr Borters desk and hasnt been reviewed yet. This was three weeks post getting measured, while we were told installation would be in three to four weeks post measuring by Mr. Borter himself. At the six week mark they stated they werent going to do the work. We did ask for a discount due to the delay, and they responded with we couldnt come together with a meeting of the minds. Below I wrote a detailed account if you would like to see what could happen by hiring Borters Glass.My wife and I hired Borters to make and install a custom shower door for us. The gave us an estimate, scheduled the measuring appointment and told us once they are done measuring, it would be approximately two weeks post measurement for installation. Mr. Borters came out and did the measurement and was very friendly. He stated that due to the type of job it was he only has one crew who could install it and it would be approximately 3-4 weeks for installation. Making the estimated install date between 9/7/18 and 9/14/18. He also stated that they would call us with a final price and to schedule the install. At the three week mark (9/7/18), after not hearing from them, I called to inquire our final price and hopefully schedule an installation appointment.When I called the woman on the phone took my name and address of the job and said, let go find your information . I was on hold for over eight minutes. When she finally returned, she said sorry I took so long, your paper work was under a pile on Mr. Borters desk. She said it hasnt been looked at yet, but she will make sure Mr. Borters looks at that day and will get back to us. After not hearing from them for two days, my wife reached out. She was given a final price and told the earliest they can install would be October 8th, over seven weeks from the initial measuring appointment.Based on Borters original timelines they presented, with understanding they were just estimates, my wife and I made plans for family to come into town the weekend of 10/4-10/6 believing the shower would be done. So hearing 10/8 was the earliest they could install after telling us our paperwork was under a pile and not looked at three weeks after the job was measured, we were understandably not happy. My wife speaking to the Borters staff stated that we were unhappy due to having to place relatives in a hotel, based on not having a functioning bathroom suitable for guest and asked if they could reduce the price, given our inconvenience. The woman stated that she would have Mr. Borter contact her to discussed. He never did. She contacted the staff again to have them say, They were unable to come down on the price and Mr. Borter was worried he could make us happy now and didnt feel comfortable to continue with the job. I contacted Borters to discuss and state that we were ok with the price, we just want out shower doors installed and was hoping to get a install date. I was met with, Mr. Borter is no longer able to take on the job. When I asked why that was, it was changed to he no longer wants to do the job, because we couldnt come to a meeting of the minds. I am still not sure what was meant by that, however, it was clear after five weeks working with Borters and waiting for our glass to be installed, they backed out of the job.This is one of the most unreliable companies I have work with in a while. Now, six weeks after first hiring Borters Glass, we are having to start with a new company. I am sure they do quality work based on the other review, unfortunately due to poor origination and customer service we never found out.
