Not bad..Busy family door store..Prices are bit high but not bad..

Seems to be a poppin place for doors. came in one Saturday and said would be in by Monday. So i called Tuesday and couldn’t get thru either the line was busy on each call and when i finally got thru he said would have to call me back. Showing up the following Saturday and was taken care of.

Best Shop anywhere in Hillsborough County. Make youre doors on the spot. Dont shop at Tampa door next door. Overpriced and take 3 weeks.

I ordered a glass insert on March 13th 2020. Unfortunately this was just before everything was shut down. It is now April 27th and I cant get them to answer their phones. Im trying to find out when they will be re-opening. Google shows they are open though. They dont have an email or website so Im kind of at a loss. I live too far to go there only to have them still closed. I wish they had someone answering phones or at the very least contacting their customers who have left deposits. :(

My husband and I are building a home and our original person to do the doors unfortunately passed away. Luis doors was a few doors down, and we went with him and he is personable, friendly and was able to do what we wanted and the price was good. So... long story short, we ordered the door, paid for half and waited. There were several times the doors were suppose to be installed and were not, but eventually it did get installed. The stain color was not the color I picked, but I was still REALLY happy with the doors. However, the installer did a HORRIBLE job! Left exposed wood, didnt cover the screws that he used to install the doors and the glass broke in several different places, the day after he installed it. I believe it wasnt installed properly. We have talked with Luis to the enth degree over the phone, gone over there personally while he got the installer on the phone who said he would be there the following Friday to correctly install and or finish the install. BIG surprise, he cancelled and we havent heard from anyone since. I am so disappointed and we literally are left with a door not installed properly so we are going to get someone else to finish the job, I AM DONE!

This place is a historical find in the outskirts of Ybor City. The place has doors, doors and more doors everywhere. Luis and his sons very knowledgeable, friendly and they know about DOORS. You pick a door they custom make it or bring your door for a change glass insert, glass strips, etc.. simply a must place to see even if you dont purchase. We had 2 custom doors made and having our front door done also.

I give credit where its due. Many people knew my dad, Carlos, he ran Bonis Doors for over 40 yrs. Well Ive recently lost my builder due to a medical emergency. I had no one to build my customerss doors. Mr. Luis stepped in and helped, he even came and picked up the doors that needed to be put together.I believe as small business owners, we should help other small businesses in time of need, and that is exactly what Mr. Luis has done.I am very grateful. Thank you!

We ordered a front door from Luis doors and had a 3 month wait. It was very clear that it was to be a farmhouse front door with clear glass. 3 months later it comes in with a designed, stained glass. How can a business be so reckless in their communication to order the wrong door and have the customer wait 3 months??

They were recommended by my handyman. I saw the other reviews, but decided to give them a try anyway based on the personal referral of a friend who is a handyman. I went down to pick out my door and put down a deposit. They have a huge selection of doors. In 2 days, they had my door ready to go. Fast and friendly, a nice family business. I think we got an excellent deal on the door as well.

Was told my doors would be ready by Wednesday. Before picking them up we call to confirm and get told it has to be pushed to Friday. Not a huge problem, but definitely an open of what was to come.Friday comes and we call around 2:30pm. I was told that 3 doors were done and the 4th was being finished up. Show up at 5pm as agreed up to find that we were lied to and only one door was completed. Told us to come back an hour later.Well we show up again qt 630pm, giving them an extra half hour. When we walk in we find that o ly 3 of the doors are done and the 4th is still being worked on.Long story short, dont use this place if you have any desire to be told the truth or stick to a timeline. Spend a little more money somewhere else and have peace of mind.

Just left Luis Door & Hardware on Howard Ave after owner cursed me out and threated to hit me.The back story: I had ordered and paid over $1000 for a front entry door for a recent renovation and had it installed by my contractor. Without going into a lot of detail there was a manufacturing issue. When I called Luis door about this issue they told me to bring the door to their shop. I told them the door was installed and taking out would leave the house unsecured. (The house is vacant, on the market and staged for sale) I asked them to send someone out to look at the issue and they said they dont provide that service. So I took some pictures of the issue and went to the store. Upon looking at the pictures, the guy whom I assume was the owner, agreed there was an issue. I was also told it was a manufacturers issue. The problem with that is I was told when ordering the door that it would be manufactured onsite but learned it was simply a door they ordered from some other manufacturer. Nevertheless this guy insisted I had to bring the door into the store. At that point I made the statement that I would likely not do business with them again and as with any dissatisfied customer, would spread the word. Thats when the guy went into a tirade of expletives. Unfortunately, I lost my decorum and called him an a**hole and then he raised his fist and threated to hit me. Folks, just a recommendation that this business should not receive your business as they are indeed not customer friendly.
