Lashawnda did her very best to get me in a car. With all my bad credit, She is an A1 pro. And funny, she was cracking jokes, making me feel very comfortable while I was stressed out thinking I couldnt possibly drive out with something. Boy was I wrong. When I first applied to Drive Time I was skeptical, to say the least. However, once I received the initial phone call confirming my approval, things could not have gone more smoothly. I made sure to be upfront with them on what I was willing to spend. So once I arrived at the dealership, my salesperson, Danny already had 5 vehicles waiting for me, with 3 of the 5 requiring less down that what I came in with! Usually dealers will START with your amount, and try to increase your down payment. RUN DON’T WALK AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS YOU CAN! I would give them negative points if it would allow. I purchased a 2016 vehicle from them 8 days ago. It broke down in the middle of a busy intersection last night. I have spent my whole day calling the dealership, the warranty company (Silverrock) and DriveTime’s corporate office. Not one person has offered to help fix the situation. I am told my only option is to either go to one of Silverrock’s in network repair shops (there are 4 within 25 miles, 3 can’t get me in until next week and 1 does not even have a diagnostic tech who works there) or I can pay $200 to take it to an out of network shop and that the $200 will not be reimbursed. I’ve also been advised that rental reimbursement is only covered once your vehicle is being repaired so since I have responsibilities to attend to in my daily life and cannot be without a vehicle (hence why I bought one) I would have to come out of my own pocket to get a drivable car until someone has time to look at mine. DriveTime sold me a defective vehicle and hasFailed to take any responsibility for it nor have they offered to cover any of the additional expenses. They just pass the buck to the next person who also refuses to provide any reasonable options. Unless you are super wealthy and wish to give DriveTime thousands of dollars only to be told to pound sand, I would go anywhere else but here

They use bait and switch tactics. Showing you available vehicles online and lower down payment online but when you get there. The vehicle you want isnt there and the down payment they require isnt what was indicated online. They pull a hard inquiry on your credit which lowered my credit score. Still. Danny was cool, so Ill give him some time to find the vehicle I came in for.

I’m almost 30 and finally decided it was time to finance my own vehicle for the first time. I didn’t even intentionally pick DriveTime, but they showed up as a close by dealer that had the exact car I was looking for, and I knew right away that walking in I could actually be driving home in a new car. I thought looking at the cars on the website was great. Filled out the credit app. Was approved. Spoke with a person asked what I need to bring. How long will the process take. When I arrived didnt take long to speak with a person. I told them want to put 1,000 down and payments 300 or under and mileage 50,000 or less and I wanted certain features and received most of them. I was astonished and amazed how I was treated by Chris Swain. Chris provided me with a 2016 Nissan Sentra S with less than 20,000 mileage interior was extremely clean in damaged and car body had a couple of scratches wasnt a deal breaker. This Dealership no gimmicks. Said what they going to do. Willing to work with you Quite impressed with the whole ordeal took about 2hrs or less to drive off the lot with a vehicle includes test driving. Reason for a 5 rating, everything was exactly what it was told to me on the phone when I arrived there was no surprises, or by the way you need this or that can you get me this there was none of that. No wasted time just a 3min video when you are closing the sale. I hope you will be impressed as I was. Asked for Chris Swain is a good man he wont steer you wrong.

Working with them to get car was great. However I live in Ohio and got the car in Michigan so I had to take the car to my local license place to get it inspected then had to fed ex drive time the paper instead of being able to go directly to get title and plates. Well now I have one day before the temp tag they gave me expires and I still have not received anything from them although they say they sent it. So now I dont know what to do or how I will be able to drive it til I get whatever I am supposed to in the mail. Not happy about this. If I would have known I would not have purchased from there.

Danny got me a great deal on my birthday today. Driving off in my new jeep grand Cherokee.

I thought that the process of purchasing the vehicle was too easy to believe and I was 100% correct I drove my car off the lot and the check engine like immediately came on, they have been giving me the run around now the electrical in the car is haywire and is making the car lock me out the alarm goes off on it’s own and the anti theft system will not dis engage to let me start the car half the time. Save yourself the head ache and buy from literally anywhere but this place they sell lemons and I’m in the process of contacting a lawyer.
