Have been taking my vehicle to Certified Automotive for several years now. These guys run a great facility and deserve every bit of 5-stars. Its hard to find knowledgeable and trustworthy repair facilities, Certified Automotive has gone above and beyond in their service, stands behind their work and I trust them 100%.

I recently took my vehicle here to have a sensor replaced. I initially emailed about a quote and received a response within minutes. I made an appointment for the following Thursday and had my vehicle back the next day. I had similar issues a year ago and now I wish I had known about Certified Automotive. Their staff was friendly, professional, and kept in touch promptly about my vehicle. Plus, I paid a fraction of what the dealership I got my car from wanted to charge me. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning next time I need car repairs!

We take all of our fleet vehicles here. They take care of us and do a great job at prioritizing these vehicles. Every time we go we know that when we get the truck back it’ll be done right. Also, the fact that they let us know everything the vehicle needs is great. It’s gives me the opportunity to make of choice between getting it all done or having an estimate in had for down the road. I take my personal vehicles there as well, and buy my vehicles through them. Needless to say the Chucks and staff ALWAYS make sure we are happy and satisfied with the work. Alternator on my car died and left me stranded on the road. Dropped my car off that evening and they had it fixed the next day. I was very pleased with the quick and professional service and would highly recommend certified automotive.

The service was extremely professional and completely earned my trust. I purchased 4 new tires and asked for alignment in addition to balancing, and they quoted me the price. When I picked up the vehicle, they told me the car was fine and that I didn’t need alignment, and so they didn’t charge me! I appreciated their honesty and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Ive been going to certified for right at seven years now. Their work is reasonably priced, and their quality of work is impeccable. All of the employees and the owner feel like family. Theyve never tried to upsell me, which I can appreciate. All in all, I love certified automotive.

I just appreciate honesty. I have a BMW, and sometimes I feel that some mechanics think that is grounds to charge high prices or to charge to do unnecessary work. I’m not ignorant regarding the higher costs of maintenance, but I appreciate that they were honest about what would fix my problem and didn’t charge me more or shortchange me. Also, they put as much care into addressing me in a friendly and professional way as they did fixing my car, and they didn’t speak to me in a condescending manner...that matters to me! I will definitely use them again. It’s a bit of a drive out of my way from Travelers Rest, but it’s worth it.

CA is a great place to have your car serviced. Always honest. I never need to worry that I am being taken advantage of. If they are in the wrong in some way, they admit it and make it right. They are quick and friendly. You cant go wrong with Certified Automotive.

My grandmother had a transmission issue with her KIA and Certified diagnosed and repaired it within a few days. When we went to pick up the vehicle I was surprised to see the cost was lower than the estimate. I take all my vehicles to Certified Automotive. I am hesitant to post this review because I dont want them to get busier than already are but they deserve the praise.

Took my truck in for diagnostic and repair of an engine light, abs issues, and a rattling noise. They fixed everything in a very timely manner. Unfortunately shortly after I picked my truck I spun a bearing, they immediately sent a tow truck and got back with me the next business day and helped me out tremendously! This will be the only shop I take any vehicle to. Theyve made a customer for life!

I have a Toyota Prius C and needed to replace a part related to my steering sensor. Certified understood the scope of work after I told them my diagnostic from the dealership. Communicating was easy, possible to do by text. They made my side of the process simple and straightforward and were very accommodating with drop off and pick up. I saved $100 in what I would have paid the dealership for the repair, and the car is running great. I’m really pleased!

I brought a significant challenge to the Certified Automotive team!! I was looking for someone technically competent in all aspects of repair and evaluation, to return my “mothballed” 1988 Corvette to regular, dependable service.The car had been properly placed in stasis during its 15-20 year sleep....but as anyone can imagine, it’s a bumper to bumper act to return all systems to full reliability.My main reason for selecting CA for the task was Chuck (the owner) remains a true old school “motor head”, and under his direction of very seasoned mechanics and brilliant younger highly trained technicians, I figured between mechanical, AC and heating, electrical and ingenuity....this complex machine could return to service to a US coast to coast adventure!I was immediately impressed by Chuck’s honestly in magnitude, and was equally impressed with the assessments of what could be be reused, and what should be replaced. The team did an amazing job of balancing choices with “it will be fine” and “need to”. CA provided details by photo, video and calls throughout the process.Anyone who owns a corvette should understand they are sometimes over engineered, tight spaces and access, 30 miles of wiring and parts are generally NOT inexpensive. Chuck and his team based the revival on what should be OEM and what parts should be/could be non OEM. 32 years is a long time and the team made excellent choices between “hard to beat the OEM part”, and “the redesign is better, after market”.I could go on for an hour, but the car and EVERY one of its systems operate perfectly, it’s like driving it again 30 years ago.... as the C4’s don’t hold a reasonable value, I plan to execute my USA tour and put as many miles on as possible!If you need standard service and repair, I recommend CA as I spent hours in their shop and watched his team perform great quality work.... but if you choose to do something more in depth, hot rod or classic car related.... you need to consider Chuck and his team. They’re much more than a great quality automotive service provider.I have a handful of hot rods, pro street car and other 1990’s performance factory cars, and when needed, they are visiting Chuck and his Certified Automotive team!Rick B

Did diagnostic trouble protentially show under dash but without taking everything out couldnt see for sure instead recomended doing a sistema sellante for a thousand less and it worked most places would not have bothered thank you

These guys are awesome! The best.My ancient (1989 Dolphin) was dropped here after hours; the tow truck driver who was dispatched by AAA intervened and got us here (rather than a tire dealer). He contacted the owner and got permission to get our RV dropped here. In the morning, the owner diagnosed the issues, and in just a couple of hours parts were ordered and in and we were on our way..Professional, pleasant, and more than reasonably priced.A BIG Thank You.

And biggest thing to me is the owner and likely all employees are Christian. Out of all the years I lived in Georgia and now South Carolina, Certified Automotive has been the friendliest and most trustworthy machanic shop I’ve taken my vehicle for repairs... This shop is competitive with their pricing on repairs and are honest, really can’t think of how the shop could be more professional. The owner is very kind and took really good care of my vehicle situation (while my car was being fixed under my transmission warranty). I was super impressed and pleased with everyone’s kindness, knowledge on vehicles, and professionalism.

If I could give this place 6 Stars I would. I took my vehicle there after performing work on it and they help me to finish off the final service on the vehicle and get me back on the road. They listened to all the work that I did and they were very communicative both by phone and by text message as to what steps were being done and to be taken next. Highly recommended.

My car came in with service check light on! I have been told need 02 sensor replaced! After I have had give them approval repair! two days after that check engine came back on again.So I stop by AutoZone to scanner Code, and I’d research on google what caused the light came on, I checked my car engine that I have find a vacuum hose leaking. I fix the hose since then almost a year! No check engine light come on.

My Volvo has been in the shop 3 out of the last 12 months. No one, even a specialist in European cars could fix the a/c. Chuck did and at a reasonable cost and short time. We have always been very happy with all his work.

Called on Wednesday to make an appointment for Friday. Was told to bring my vehicle in and leave it all day. Took the day off from work. Left vehicle. Didnt hear anything all day. Called at 3 pm. Was told what the vehicle needed and the cost but was told the work could not be done that day. Why did they wait so long to look at the vehicle. This is the 2nd time this type of thing has happened. There will not be a 3rd.

I was told by the dealer that I needed about $700 in urgent repairs to my car, including new front struts, transmission flush, and power steering flush. After hearing multiple different urgent repairs in visits to the dealer, I decided to take my car to Certified to get it checked out. They not only checked the car over and found that there were NO issues, but they did not charge anything for the service. I will be taking my car there from now on for all service.

I chose to patronize Certified Automotive because of its stellar Google reviews. It was definitely a good choice. They were very busy on 8/13 and they still made time to fit me in their schedule and actually explain what was wrong with my car. I ended up having a part delivered there and they installed it with no labor charge, because they did not have the part in stock. Went above and beyond.I took my truck to two places before calling Chuck Senior and Certified automotive. I informed him that the dealership said I needed a new engine because I had a spun cam bearing. He didnt seem to think I need a new engine and told me that it was probably a camshaft position sensor magnet. He fixed it for 1/10 of what the dealership quoted me. I am somewhat mechanically inclined and he explained what he was doing and what the problem was. I have dealt with plenty of auto shops and this one has been the best. They just made a customer for life.
