I was very happy when I found By The Yard and worked with Annette. She took me around and gave me many samples but the one I picked was the first one I saw. Annette measured my corniches correctly without a lot of wasted material. The ladies in the shop were all very helpful and would go there again if I have a project.

This is a blue-ribbon site for upholstery! I chose the fabric from the large selection, and they picked up my hide-a-bed couch and childhood rocking chair about a month later. Here are the positives:--The nap goes the right way (velveteen polyester).--needle tension on seams was correct eliminating pucker.--the high density foam they offered was perfect for the seat cushions, reused original foam for back cushions.--back cushions stuffed to right proportions so as not to eliminate seating depth.--two toss pillows were made exactly as the ones they received, my request.--hide-a-bed deck was completely covered in same fabric as couch.--additional flap of fabric over deck so not visible under cushions.This was the fifth recovering of this furniture and the best, by far. The service was excellent. Liz helped me with the fabric selection answering all questions about durability and cleaning and gave me a reasonable time frame. The furniture was picked up on time and returned about a week later.John, Carlos and Rafael were careful when removing the couch to not damage or bang up walls.John, the owner, was especially helpful and reassuring when I had concerns. I would recommend By the Yard without hesitation.

Way too expensive. I found many of the fabrics I looked at there online. They were half to a third of the cost at By The Yard.

My husband and I had an extremely large custom sectional reupholstered and these ladies walked us through all the fabric picking, I had several custom pillows which I wanted in white and we had a very hard time finding the textured fabric I wanted and these ladies found a fabric for us in no time and are excellent! I highly recommend if you are in need of upholstery fabric.

Needed fabric to match 2 ottomans that needed new upholstery. Got it and looks great. The ladies are very friendly and helpful.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!I wish I could give 0 stars. Nothing but problems for a chair I tried to have recovered. Took months to have it recovered. When I received it the fabric was on inside out. When I called to let them know they had the audacity to tell me THEY MEANT TO PUT ON BACKWARDS stating it would wear better. What a joke. They took it back and said they discontinued the fabric so they couldnt fix it. Now I am left with an uncovered chair and a waste of 6 months as this whole process took that long!!!Worst part about it is the complete lack of customer service! They will only communicate by email and a response takes days and days to get. I have called them many times and have yet to get a call back.If you end up unhappy you will have a complete waste of 6 months and immense frustration and effort to get them to fix anything.

They Say $ize Doesnt Matter...🤔; IT Does Here! This Is Not A DIY(Do It Yourself) Style Joint, But They Gawght Youre Back, Sides, Front etc 😂. Cleanliness Not An Issue.

Well I was hoping it wasnt like a mega non-big box store selection of fabric, but I guess its just upholstery fabric store not your small fabric for blankets and stuff. If your need to upholstery something this is the store!
