Staff was friendly and professional, although they were unable to fulfill a service for me they gave me advice and didnt try to upsell me any other services that they felt were in dire need of being done.

Long time customer - never late or miss appts. Was 6 mins late and told my appointment was given to someone else. If they had said they were behind I would have understood but to make it my fault no way. Plus last time I visited they forgot about me because I waited patiently for 2 hours then didnt complete the checks that should have been done. Its actually sad as we were happy for years but service has gone down hill. Found a new place immediately and will never return

Fast and friendly service. I expected to be waiting for 2-3 hours for 4 tires and alignment. We were there for only an hour and a half. Awesome job guys. Staff was super friendly. Scott the manager suggested a nearby park for my 3yr old and another friendly auto technician there even talked to my 3yr old and got her to smile. Awesome you guys. Keep up the good work. Ive been to Midas for my last two oil changes. I lease my cars so they are brand new and require the highest grade oil, and it tends to be very expensive. However, Midas always has a coupon available ($10 off first time, $15 off the second time). Right before going to Midas, I went through one of those drive through places, and it cost me close to $80 just for the oil change. At Midas, I have paid $62 and $57, because their base price is cheap too. The people are extremely nice and truly care about your satisfaction, and there are restaurants in very walkable distances as you wait the 40 minutes to get your car done. Even if you dont know where to find the coupon, just ask how much your total will be when you call to make your appointment (Ive always gotten in next day) and they will show you how to find the coupon on your cellphone when you get there. No need to print it out.!

This is my second review of this location. They are incredible every time. Explains everything that’s wrong in detail, the possible costs, and necessities instead of aiming for your money. They explain exactly what they’re doing. Their customer service is top notch, and they don’t take advantage of ignorance, instead educate. Life can be hard when your vehicle goes out of commission or costs a lot for fix, and all of the staff from counter to shop has shown me kindness and patience time and time again.

Incredibly fast service. The front lady at the desk (I believe she said her name was Kenya) asked me what I wanted. I told her I wanted just the general check up and that my check engine light was on. She quickly did everything she could and got people to check out my car to send me off happy with only a 10 minute wait, if that. This employee was excellent and I’d like her to be acknowledged as such, and the other employees seemed friendly and helpful as well. They had a fantastic work flow and work fast together. Didn’t have to pay for the check up at all, that was a plus. I’ll definitely always come back here for my car.

VERY impressed. Im in up here in PA. My 2003 truck is with my son down in FL. He described something the truck was doing, and I figured it needed front brake pads. I made an appt. with Midas. I was hoping not to get call saying it needed rotors, calipers, etc.etc. I didnt think it did, but being out of state, and not with the vehicle, I would not be there to see things myself. Could I trust Midas?Well, he took in the truck. Im hoping all it needs is pads. And an oil change. This is the Midas at 5959 E. Fowler.I call back. Theyre done. How did it go? They said my pads were still good! Not recommended to replace them. They took care of the oil change, took a nail out of a tire (non punctured), did some adj. and maintenance on the back brakes- and it was good to go for about $50 after discounts! Nice!Heres the point. For all I knew, it might have needed more. Im not there. They could have taken advantage of me. Instead, they checked the truck out good, reported what they found, and gave me the good news. They got it taken care of quickly so now its ready for the trip back home.WAY TO GO Midas . THANK YOU> Now I know where to send my truck the next time I need something done down there.THANKS!!!!!!!

Husband took truck for crack in oil pan, they changed to oil pan stated that they didnt find a crack charged $1200 and then told us what the real problem was after and wanted to charge another $1000 to fix the real problem. Its already hard to trust mechanics and this has not made it any better. Get second opions if possible.

Scott is the man!! He always made sure that if anything needs replacing or fixed that he and the other guy will look at it before doing so. I take my two cars here because I can trust that the service and care for my cars will be great. Oil changes arent bad in price as other places especially for full synthetic. Highly recommended.

My air conditioning wasn’t working. I was living close at the time and went to Midas for the convenience of them being so close. They had an estimate to replace the whole compressor costing $1,400. I did not trust them and took my car to a local mechanic back at my home town. The compressor was not the issue and my mechanic was furious on how they concluded to the compressor and taking out all my Freon in the process. He was able to fix it for about $350 and said if the compressor was to be replaced it would not have even fixed the issue. I would ONLY recommend this place to get an oil change.

Usually I dread taking the chance of having my cars oil changed at a shop instead of doing it myself. Been going here for the past 2 years and Ive never had a problem! The manager and staff there offer great customer service and never pressure you to have any unnecessary services done to your car. Plus it is more affordable to have my oil changed there than it is to do it myself. And if youre a student, youll save even more ;) Highly recommend 👍🏼

I have been dealing with Midas in Temple Terrace for a number of years. They, and in particular Scott the manager, have to the HONEST car maintenance places around. I brought my 13 yr old car to them and they did not try to sell me anything that was not needed or necessary. I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Overpriced. Overpriced. Overpriced. They wanted to charge $400 to replace windshield wiper switch. I bought the part for $15 and replaced it myself in less than an hour.

What I really love about this Midas is that they will take no for an answer. I went in for a routine oil change, and during the courtesy inspection, they discovered I needed new tires. They told me that my front tires needed to be changed immediately, but they did no pressure me into getting them. I did agree to the new tires, and Scott was so nice, he kept giving me updates about the status of my tires every time he saw me sitting there. I love this Midas, and it is the only place I trust when it comes to maintaining and fixing my truck.

Very sincere staff. Could have ripped me off of atleast 500 bucks easily, but were very truthful and fitted an air pipe back in place which somehow was out of its normal connection line; and let me go free. I gave the person $20 tip for being an honest man.

Brought in my 1999 Deville in to get the radiator changed. I brought in a radiator which I though was different, but they ended up ordering the exact same one. Instead of using mine and saving me money they charged me more than 1 and a half times the cost of the radiator. I only brought it to them because my complex doesnt allow me to do repair work and they were really nice when we had them install our exhaust which came out great. Im not doing it again though.

The best all year round. Honest professionals who care about each and every customer. Ive been doing business with them for 20 years now and I wont go anywhere else. Theyre honest and fair.

Friendly and fast oil change

Never have I been profiled by some rinky dink auto shop. My braided hair and cut off jeans do not attest to my diplomas, certificates, degrees and successful private business. No, Midas, financing is not needed. Your prices are inflated and your lack of professionalism are why you do not deserve my business.

DO NOT GO HERE ! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!My girlfriend used to take her car here but not anymore cause they ripped her off countless times. She had a small AC leak so they fill the system with DYE to find the leak which is dumb you can clearly just take a close look to find it. DYE trashes the system.It kept leaking even after replacing the AC pump and lines. They never changed the O rings. I found this out for myself. Usually on AC systems the DRYER rarely needs replacing but they told her she needed a new one!These people are scum and just want your money ! Please go somewhere else. They are LIARS.I would not let them even work on my bicycle.

Will never go back or recommend this place to anyone ever again. Made an appointment to have my ‘96 Jeep inspected and possibly worked on to replace the steering stabilizer. Had it towed in and before it was even off-loaded, the store manager Scott came out saying his lead shop tech had been told by the tow truck driver that it was infested with bedbugs, so they couldn’t bring it in. The tow truck driver only told him that they might want to put a piece of cardboard down because my drivers seat is torn up from being 20+ years old. Never once mentioned bugs of any kind. He took one look at my boyfriends scars on his legs from mosquito bites and made a snap judgement. The manager became quite rude when I confronted him about the lying about the bedbugs and insisted it was the truck driver who said it. Kept trying to get in my face and even had the gall to say, ‘why would I refuse you service, that could be a hefty repair bill’. Then, threatened the tow truck driver that if I did call corporate, he would be throwing him (the tow truck driver) under the bus as well, while also trying to persuade us that it was out of his hands. — we ended up going down to tires plus, where lo and behold, they said the Jeep did not have bugs of any kind and that they’d happily do the repair for us, way cheaper than Midas had quoted us. We have called corporate and filed a complaint, so I hope the manager gets dealt with. (This all seems ridiculous how they treated us, considering just a week before they had changed the oil and inspected it inside and out, the only difference was my boyfriend was still in his work uniforms so his scars were covered. ) So if you’d like to be denied service from this manager because he thinks your car is infested with bugs without even looking at it, feel free to waste your time going here. If you don’t like wasting your time, go somewhere else because this manager needs to be retrained, at the very least.

Staff is great but they have a very high mark-up on parts.Calling a local auto shop for a second quote saved me $300.I would recommend this shop only for oil changes and nothing more.

Had two visits here for the care and check of my car. Both employees who helped me actually took me into the shop side, where theyre working on my car, and shown me the actual problems instead of just telling so I could make an informed decision of what it I can and should do.

They seem to be fair. I only saw 2 people change their minds and walk out. One I think was because they couldnt get oil change fast enough. The other I think was they felt slighted. I may start getting my work done there. Their systhenic oil change interval is 5k to 7k, which is correct according to Auto manufacturer, unlike Tire Kingdom.

When I arrived there was already a lady at the register talking up a storm so instead of standing up I sat down. About 10 minutes later two guys come in and immediately a Midas worker that clearly saw me when I came in, assisted them first. Very poor customer service.

We tried to get the belts adjusted on our Toyota 4 runner(ticket #47467). We were charged $60 but only the ALT belt was ever touched. When we went back to have them do the other two belts but they refused saying that they only agreed to check the ALT belt. when pressed on the matter the story changed to we already re checked it when you brought it in the second time. this would have been great except the truck was only in the bay 2 minutes max, certainly not the hour + of shop time listed on the ticket. Im not sure what they did or didnt do but the it felt like I was being lied to or screwed over, good luck if you choose to use them.

Horrible!!!Two times Ive been here for repair. Took two months to get repair the first time. I had to call I had to set up times I had to remind then to get parts.same code came up and was forced to come back in case it was the same pray.same situation.I had to call to remind then to order the pay I had call to all Id my car is ready I shouldnt do the work.I got my own job.all I get is sorrys and I dont knows. Im sitting here at 830am after being tools to come in at 730am... Person wont be here until 9am. On my day off!!!! Nothing but excuses as to why things are this way.Never a discount or anything on my wasted time.all ways have used Midas but never again.again only came back because I thought it was the same pay causing the problem. I want action to be taken on this ineptitude!! Waste my time line I have nothing going on in my life? Making me work my job plus THEIRS tho get Mr car fixed?!? Are you kidding me???

Came in for just an oil change, was told fifteen minutes. Hour and a half later I asked for my keys back after they skipped me 3 times for other people. I heard they were short staffed so thats why I waited as long as I did, but 3 skips is unacceptable.

I had towed in my Jeep on January 4th as it hadnt run for three years (Id been living out of town). Not only did Midas undercut the estimates Id received from two other repair shops by several hundred dollars, they also called several times with updates, information, questions on how Id like to proceed and asking for approval regarding pricing.Having owned many cars in the past - and usually just taking them to a mom n pop shop to get them repaired when necessary - this came as quite a shock to me! Not only is their customer service top-notch, theyre also incredibly cheap for what theyre doing, suggested coupons, and were the friendliest staff Ive ever had the pleasure of speaking to. I cant recommend Midas on Fowler enough. They even recommended a tow service that would offer me a discount, saving me yet more money - a welcome bonus the week after Christmas.And to top it all off, theyve finished all of the necessary repairs within 24 hours. I know not all Midas locations are probably this good, but if youre looking for somewhere in Temple Terrace to have mid-to-severe engine troubles diagnosed and repaired - and need them done quickly and at a low, low cost - this is the place to go. Ask for Kenya or (I think, and feel bad Im not sure) Scott! Id vote six stars were it an option.

Been going to this Midas for 20 years now. No place more knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. They value their customers and they show it.

I am a trusting person. So for me to advise against a place is rare. I was overheating. They wanted to put a radiator hose kit (two hoses), a thermostat and coolant flush. All three parts were quoted 2.5 times the going rate from local auto parts store. Also the work was not necessary, as an always needed second opinion showed me how my hoses were functioning leak free with no signs of dry rot. Also three hours seemed too long to do the work. Thank you for trying to scam me Fowler Avenue Midas. I need to see clearly that not everyone is a straight shooter.

Today I went in for a full synthetic oil change for my 2013 Mazda 3 Sport. The dealership (who has jerked me around one too many times) told me it was also time for a tire rotation (without looking at the car).I was in and out within an hour. They put air in my tires and determined the tire rotation wasnt necessary, although they were prepared to do so at no cost. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. A gentleman answered all of my questions and we spoke about some specials for when I hit 60k miles and need more service.Even though I live in Wesley Chapel I think Ill be back at this Midas. If you have a USF ID youll receive discounts on already decent rates. I would recommend to a friend.

The people who work there are always friendly and trustworthy. I bring all my vehicles there and I know I can trust them to take care of everything that needs to be done and warn me of things that should be done soon. Their prices are fair and their waiting room is even super nice! I highly recommend the fowler midas.
