I had a wonderful experience regarding the service of my G80. The service department did an awesome job diagnosing and repairing the issue I was having with my stereo deck.

They exceeded my expectations at every level. We had gone all the way to Dallas to find the specific GV 80 that we wanted. Driving back to Houston we had a problem getting the cruise control to work the way my wife thought it should. When we initially tried to schedule service we were very disappointed. At a different dealership in Houston the service dept never returned any of 3 phone calls. When we called Genesis of ClearLake, the girl who answered told us that it would be quite some time (weeks) before they can get us in to give us concierge level service and several days before we could get regular level service. Due to our frustration about the cruise control we made arrangements to just drop the car off by using the online scheduling at the website. It scheduled us to bring the car by at 10 am the next day which was a Thursday. The next morning as we were about to leave to drop the car off, the service department called and informed us that they wouldn’t be able to look at the car until Friday at the earliest and most likely not until the next Tuesday. We decided to go ahead and drop the car off as planned that day since it was the only time that met our schedule. We certainly weren’t expecting a call the next day at 3 pm saying the car was ready and the cruise control was operating properly. We got over to pick up the car but it was right at closing time. Dane the technician was kind enough to stay late and show my wife how to operate the smart cruise control properly and get the most out of the incredible technology and safety features the GV80 has to offer. Genesis of Clear Lake Service Department hit a home run on this one. They got to our car sooner than expected and got it back to us much, much sooner than expected. The time the tech took with us to ensure we were happy with the car and were able to fully utilize it’s features was way beyond expectations. We will be using Genesis of ClearLake for all our service needs going forward. If I ever meet Mr DeMontrond,, I will tell him personally his people at this dealership performed exceptionally.We love our GV80. We are thrilled the local dealership- Genesis of Clear Lake did everything they could in their power to earn our future business.If I had any complaint, it would be with Genesis the manufacturer. If you want to position your brand as something special, than you need to treat your customers as if they own something special. Any other premium brand in America offers a loaner when you need service. To find out that Genesis owners don’t have the ability to drop off their car and have a loaner available whenever they need service is a big letdown. To have to wait weeks for scheduling concierge level service experience that the Sales side promises is concerning. This is NOT a Genesis of Clear Lake problem, my inquiry revealed this is currently an issue at every Texas Genesis dealer I contacted.

Leased a new 2017 Genesis G90 from Demontrond Genesis and the customer experience was outstanding. Very rarely does the dealership match or exceed the vehicle but Demontrond Genesis was able to achieve this lofty goal. Cudos to Adrienne and Sheri a couple of real pros.
