Difficult to rate this business. I received an online quote and was pleasantly surprised, it was a very reasonable charge. Apparently they did not actually have an appointment time but rather just asked me to bring it in and it would be a 5-6 hour job that may roll over to the next day. So far I was not concerned and would have given a better rating. Unfortunately that is all the good news. I never got a call about the work progress or completion. When I reached out to them they suddenly had everything ready. The web site states they provide discounts to veterans and medical workers, they refused to honor the coupon. Then my car had leftover parts left on the floor and back dash. This made me wonder where these went and why they were not used. I would be hard pressed to use them again.

I made an appointment and dropped my car off, they asked me just a couple of questions and then I left with a friend for lunch.They called me when they completed running the appropriate tests on my car, just a couple of hours later.The test results were clearly explained to me in a way I could understand.I wasn’t charged any money for the time they spent on my car.Turns out the repairs I need are way out of my budget so I did not get the work done but if my situation were different I would definitely trust them to do a great, quick job on repairing my vehicle.

I can always count on the quality of their workmanship.

I explained what I needed and Mr John was very patient and helpful. Id previously took my car to the dealership and was priced over $300. I paid less than $200 here and was able to use the online coupon for the month. I will definitely come back for oil change soon. Absolutely, I would recommend these guys. Very professional and my vehicle was done in less than an hour with a 4 year warranty! You cant beat that! Also,the cute, fluffy dog was an added bonus💕

I’ve found them to be very reliable and conservative in how they addressed my car problems.With an older car and limited budget and facing a major repair bill they worked hard to save me money.Only downside is that others have had the same positive experience and as a result, at least at this moment, they have so much work that it may take longer to get to your car.They’re reliable, helpful and friendly.Too bad because of Covid there aren’t the fresh cookies anymore.You might want to take the dog home with also....

I have nothing but high praise for Byrd Automotive. Tim and Harvey were incredibly helpful and got my truck running great. Three things set Byrd Automotive apart for me: First, they were straightforward about the repairs that I needed vs. the repairs that I could have. They quoted me for all sorts of services that could be done, but when I asked, What do I need to get done? I got an honest answer. They could have made more money by not telling the truth, but they showed integrity that was much appreciated. Second, they fixed a door issue on my truck that I had not asked for and I was not charged for. They went above and beyond when they didnt have to. Finally, I got my truck back cleaner than its been in years. The hand wash was a very nice touch.

When we first moved here, I took my car to a local mechanic for some electrical work and they did such a horrible unprofessional job jerry rigging everything. I didn’t know about Byrd at the time and wanted something closer to my house. MISTAKE!!! Took it to Byrd and they fixed all the horrible work the first mechanic did for a very reasonable price and all within a single day!!! I will never trust anyone with my vehicle besides Byrd. They have amazing coupons on their website too and source American made parts as much as possible. I just can’t say enough good things about them! Fast, professional, affordable, honest, AMAZING!!! Very good customer service. I had the oil change done while I waited in their comfy waiting room. It was finished in less than 40 minutes. In the meantime, their Old English sheepdog checked me out and plopped herself down beside me. This is the nicest auto repair shop I’ve ever been to!This will be my new go-to auto service place, unless something absolutely has to be done at the Mazda dealership for warranty reasons.

Very trustworthy, one time they said I had a power steering leak, they said they would put a dye in the fluid so they could find the leak at a later time, two weeks later i went back and they said they couldnt find the leak so they would not do any work. They could have ripped me off but didnt. These guys are really great! No complaints!

Tim and the crew at Byrd have been fabulous! I have a project car that I have been working on and they stepped in to finish what I started. The communication was excellent and prices reasonable. I will continue to use them for this car and all my others vehicles.

Byrd Automotive was excellent to work with on doing some major restoration work on my 40 -year old pickup truck. New brakes, steering rack, suspension bushings, and electrical work were completed. They helped track down some hard to find parts to complete the job and get the BRAT back on the road.

First of all Byrd Automotive doesnt work on Maseratis at all even though they state their able to all day. I blew my fuse installing a new battery so I needed a replacement fuse. When I looked on google Byrd Automotive popped up first so I gave them a call. I thought great everything will run smoothly they are only 15 miles away knowledgeable to work on my Gran Turismo. Well for a tow and a fuse I paid $650.00 dollar they couldnt clear my codes and have no idea on how to work on a Maserati since this is my second. The main problem that just makes my blood boil is they put a big ding in my driver side door on the body line. They had my door open when I got in my vehicle so this wouldnt be seen. Once I was home now getting in the vehicle a second time it was apparent they dented the door I didnt go anywhere but home. Dont trust these guys they overcharge and dont take care of an exotic cars what would they do to your vehicle. And to top it off I had to go to Northside Fiat and they fixed the problem for only 100.00 dollars. Go elsewhere itll say money, frustration, and hair.

My 1st time using Byrd because of the reviews and they lived up to the expectations. The shop had my 2018 F 250 PU in for some suspension work and leveling kit to take the infamous wobble out. Byrd installed the Bilstine leveling kit and steering damper and alignment and I could immediately tell the truck vibration was gone.Thank John and Tim great experience and for taking good care of my PU and good work your business provides.

They performed The State of the Car service on my vehicle for $189+tax. This service would have cost me around $500+ somewhere else. I drive a little ways to get to Byrd Automotive, but I know I am getting quality work done at a very reasonable price and they wash your vehicle before you pick it up. People that work there are very professional and very knowledgeable. I wont take my car anywhere else. TRUST

Tim and his team diagnosed and repaired the carburetor and replaced fuel pump on my 1962 T-Bird and its doing great. Highly recommend Byrds! The people were very nice and honest. Came here for a second opinion on my tahoe after service engine light came on. Another mechanic shop was very pushy about what needed to be done and couldnt give me a price until it was finished, I was not getting a good vibe from them. Heard about byrds auto shop, came here and they were very honest and gave me a price before they even started on vehicle. When I came to pick up it was less than they quoted me and they even had my tahoe looking squeaky clean. I brought my truck for a second opinion for my truck pulling to the right while driving. I had taken it to another well known shop in Panther creek and diagnosed that the steering box was the probable cause and would need to be replaced for around $1100.I brought it to Byrd and they found the front end to be solid and thought the tires were the issue. I asked them to rotate the tires and the truck tracks normal now.Very satisfied customer.

Ive always had a warranty on the last few trucks Ive owned so it was with a bit of trepidation that I search for a reliable repair shop that would be able to pinpoint the problem and charge a fair price.My first impression was how easy making an appointment online was rather than calling in and having been put on hold. I read a few reviews and easily made an appointment that worked with my schedule.Appointment day and I pull into their repair area for the first time. Im big on first impressions and walking into the office and seeing the repair shops in the back I felt confident I selected a reputable business.I honestly didnt expect my truck repairs to be completed in one day and I was prepared to rent a car for a few days while the repairs were being done with the usual the parts have been ordered Ive gotten at other shops INCLUDING dealerships. I was surprised when I got their call explaining the needed repairs and that theyd be able to complete the job by the end of the day.When I picked up my truck it was the same relaxed atmosphere in the office as they were wrapping up my billing. When I paid for the repairs I was completely surprised to see my invoice STAMPED with a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. Byrd is so confident in their repairs they back them up with a written warranty.In summary I am completely satisfied with Byrd Automotive and I highly recommend them for prompt, reliable service with the confidence they back up their repairs with a warranty.

I got my car inspection done at Byrd. I’d never been here before, but I’ll be back. The employees in the reception area were really helpful, especially since I showed up after the inspections were closed for the day. They got me in and out in less than 20 minutes and told me how to go about getting my sticker. The waiting area was cozy and there’s even a dog (Honey) that you can pet.

Tim, the owner was fabulous and even answered my call after hours when my car broke down and I needed a place to tow it to. He walked me through the process and successfully fixed my car and got me on the road again! I also spoke with John who was fantastic as well-exceptional customer service that is genuine is obviously ingrained in the culture here! Byrd Automotive is a beacon in the world of dark, scary auto repair shops (and dealerships service departments)! I went in for an oil change but the gentlemen there were so thorough. They answered all of my questions on tires, brakes and anything else I had concerns over. I was treated with respect and honesty, which I haven’t always felt as a female. The value of the oil change was phenomenal as well, almost half of what my dealership charged last time! They were super efficient as well. I was almost sad to leave the quiet, clean waiting area where I worked using the free WiFi! I can’t recommend this business enough.

I took my vehicle there for the first time. I knew what work had to be done. They diagnosed it properly but quoted me a price that was $1100 more than a different shop had quoted, and $500 more than the Lexus dealer which traditionally is most expensive. When I picked up my Lexus from them they charged me $68 just for having looked at it. They tried to overcharge me. Will they overcharge you?

They are always eager to help and I can trust what they tell me. I feel not only do they do quality work but they are also transparent and I’m allowing me to know what does not need to be done.

Ive been taking my 89 bronco here the past 1.5 years and will continue to take it and whatever other vehicle. My 2008 Rav4 has a known engine defect. Ive been trying to find a fix for years. Byrd Auto was able to tell me what the problem was and was really honest about the stages that might need to happen to fix it. They completed the initial fix in a day for much less than other shops had charged without fixing the problem. So far so good. Ill continue to use these guys.

I was visiting family from out of town and my car had a major oil leak the morning of New Year’s Eve. I was certain I’d be without my car for at least a few days because of the holiday but they were able to diagnose the issue and hustled to get my car back to me the same day! They also had the best customer service I’ve experienced with automotive services. They were direct, took the time to educate me on the issue, and did everything they could to ensure I would not be inconvenienced including complimentary rides to/from the shop. An honest mechanic, hallelujah. Another shop recommended a full replacement, so I called around for comps, Byrd took a look at it and told me that only a part needed rebuilding rather than a full replacement, which saved me thousands of dollars. Whats more is they beat the schedule even while Tropical Storm Imelda was hammering us, which is such a refreshing surprise in this industry. These guys are my new shop.

This place is amazing. Back at thanksgiving 2018, my 2015 Kia Soul died and the engine needed to be rebuilt. Byrd took care of everything, including contacting the warranty company multiple times. I apparently got a lemon so I’ve had to bring it back several times since then and every time they are quick, professional, honest, and very friendly. I won’t even go anywhere else for a simple oil change because they take such good care of my car. I highly recommend them if you need work done on your vehicle.

I have a Used BMW purchased in 2016. A week after my purchase fuel pump light and others came on. Additionally I lost the control so steering wheel and more. Took to the BMW certified service on I 45. $2000 later, car was still not fixed. Went back and said I would need a new “used engine”. Check out Bryd Automotive and took in. We did spend a year trying to figure out what was happening while I drove the car. Last service Tim and his team were determined to identify the root cause. They isolated different parts of the engine to ultimately solve the problem. Tim spent hours researching and calls with BMW. They are the best and angels for solving my car problems. Will always use Tim and his team. Finally an automotive service company this is honest!!!! The best.

They were extremely helpful, let me keep my store my car there until I figured out what to do with it, and were nice folks every step of the way. I just moved to the area and this shop will be my go-to for auto needs.

I went and saw Tim at Byrd Automotive to get a diagnostic and a second opinion after going to a different place and being dismissed and told there was nothing they could do. As a young women and full-time student I was extremely disheartened by the way I was treated in the car repair industry until I found Byrd. Tim went absolutely above and beyond to help me. I started off by calling and immediately over the phone he was friendly and willing to help. He took down information and did some research. I ended up taking my car into him to have him take a look himself. After a full day of research on his part and some diagnostics later he ended up saving me $5,000. I could not be more thankful for Tim and his team. Even after I left his shop I was able to call him and get information from him over the phone without any hesitation on his end.
