Whiskey and coffee at 8 am? Sounds good to me! I had a Cortado with Balvenie 12. Good prices on the pours and served in proper glasses! The barista said that this was a small selection due to covid and them sending most of the whiskey to their other shop.

One of the best London fogs I’ve ever had and my husband’s americano was above average too. Cute decor and friendly service. Some tables out front for outdoor enjoyment of beverages during nicer weather.

Staff was great and friendly. The shop was cozy and inviting. However, 8.25 for a sandwich so small it can fit in the palm of your hand is not what I was expecting. I may come back for their excellent coffee but not for the food.

Great coffee!My salted caramel mocha was a perfect mixture of chocolate and caramel, be while not being sickly sweet. Also had an almond milk latte, which tasted very nice... Something that doesnt usually happen with almond milk.Definitely a place you need to check out.

Stopped in to buy a bottle of water bought a coffee instead. It was very good. The staff was excellent. They also have a whiskey bar. Not my thing but very interesting and cool. I will make sure this place becomes a fixture on my walking jonts through old town Tigard.

YOU MUST TRY THE MEATLOAF!!!! I know Im shouting but this seriously the best meatloaf Ive ever had in my life, and yes this is a coffee shop and yes Im not kidding. I came her to enjoy a nice cup of matcha and get some work done but I was hungry. They had a few pastries but I really didnt want something sweet, thats when I found the meatloaf. They have a small menu with some interesting selections, and I would bet each on of the dishes is out of this world.Amazing spot with free and fast internet n I love the decor. The staff was really friendly and did I mention the meatloaf?????? Omg it came with this Chipotle sauce that was out of this world.Come here, I dont care where you live. Nim from North Carolina but will figure out a reason to come back and visit.Ohhhh Im not a huge coffee drinker but I love matcha. Unlike Starbucks, this place does not have sweetened matcha powder, its just pure wonderful matcha and it was amazing. Add your own sweetner if you dont like it.Dont forget - get some meatloaf!!!!!

I really want to support local coffee shops. But there must be some unwritten rule where they staff the worst people for the job. This place was no exception. Guy I ordered coffee from was a total d-bag. To top it off the flimsy to-go cups they have leak. I’ll stick to Starbucks.

I love Symposium Coffee & Whiskey. Their staff is always friendly. The environment is comfortable and clean. It is a great spot for coffee with friends or a business meeting. My personal go to is the caramel mocha.I also love that they use either homemade or local ingredients. They also have amazing in-house made pastries that are gluten free.

Nice lol coffee spot. Good baristas and quick clean service. Got their Chia was nice but way too much cinnamon and really chalked up the depth of the flavor. Also the temp of the chai wasnt more than 120F that was disappointing. Lavender coffee was on point

A great coffee shop with amazing coffee and delicious baked goods! Seriously, the bread is to die for. Everything except for the bagels are gluten free, but youd never guess by tasting it. Everything is a tad on the spendy side, but is well worth the money.

I guess light cream means turn the coffee white and when you kindly say that is far too much cream they tell you “no it’s just right”.Then when you get a drip coffee, they want you to get your monies worth so they fill it to the very top causing you to burn your hand. Probably for being rude earlier.

Their local is a really nice building, they didnt have much of a menu, its clearly a new place. I was told to try the house favorite latte, which is good if you like Chai latte. (I had to doctor it a bit) All in all my experience of: the people who work there, the menu, no food really when I got there...so unsure how it is...I would say its good. Not great but not bad.

Love this little hidden gem. Cozy, artisan coffeehouse is not something I picture when I think about Tigard, but these folks have it nailed. Quality drinks and food, friendly service, convenient location. A well-earned five stars.

Love symposium! Their lavender latte is one of my favorites! They have a killer croissant sandwich that is totally worth the $8 they ask for it. Whether youre passing by, or going in for a meetup, this place wont disappoint!

This is a nice coffee shop located close to the Fanno Creek trails. In addition to coffee and tea, they have baked goods (including GF & vegan options) and a whiskey bar. Definitely check it out.

Love the iced mocha.. The artwork is really worth checking out! Very open and airy environment... Its next to a great little outdoor museum about Tigard and the people who have made this place great.. I highly recommend stopping in for a cup and a chat

I love the coffee, the breakfast sandwiches are really good. The outdoor seating is great for sipping and people watching, close to the trail. A $1.50 for milk upgrade is a little steep though.

When I treat myself to coffee, I walk up to Symposium. The staff is friendly and the selection is just enough. I dont drink but there is a great selection of spirits. Their food is definitely worth trying!

Great coffee, great smiling faces, great ambience, great place to meet with people, and a great area located in little Main St Tigard (aka Downtown Tigard).Note: it really is a great location because I can park and ride to work from across the street, but before I hop on the bus or WES Train, I can grab a cup of delicious White Mocha on those cold, cold mornings.

Pricey. The coffee is fine, just expensive. There’s one option for a breakfast sandwich, it’s $11.75, which is WAY overpriced for a bland and overly salty basic sandwich. I’ve had much better food from Portland hipster coffee shops with more options (for less money even!). I don’t mind paying a decent price for decent food, but this wasn’t.No public restrooms. While the counter area has your typical hipster coffee shop vibe, the rest of the place doesn’t exactly have a clean, modern feel. Old, outdated and slightly shabby furniture, flooring, paint, etc. that don’t contribute to the vibe and could use a facelift. For the prices I would expect better.People working there were nice, and quick service.

Great place to go for coffee. I have always had great service and there is plenty of room for seating. On top of good black coffee, they have a selection of liquor to spice up your drink should you be old enough do so.

I love symposium and cannot say enough great things about them! I used to live right down the street from the Sherwood location and I miss being able to kill hours at a time there so easily. The owners are really lovely people, all the staff at both locations are friendly and attentive, and their coffee and food are delicious, with a lot of unique flavors.

Coffee was good... The rest? The wifi wasnt working when we were there. The tables made from road signs werent to my taste. My oat milk latte was quite good however..

So I live 2 blocks away and have never been in. So tonight I invited a girlfriend for coffee to talk about beanies...she crochets and I needed some new ones...had coffee, chatted away and then decided to check out whiskey menu...absolutely the best decision she had hot today for sure throat, I had old fashion with Absinthe...fabulous! Loved this place. Great location and just a short walk from my sons house. I had a delicious chili mocha w/coconut milk. It was scrumptious . Will be visiting this shop every visit. The employees were very welcoming and friendly. My mocha even had a design in it made from the foam! A definite must visit!

Beautiful and quaint cafe in downtown Tigard, lots of activity and bustle on the street as there is a bike-way and pedestrian path right next to the building. The milk of my hot chocolate was over steamed but I didnt say anything, I should have asked for it to be tepid (drinkable temperature). The bread is baked at the Sherwood location and is a real treat, I highly recommended it. I think that they should consider changing their name to Symposium Coffee And Bread, (or Symposium Coffee And Bakery). Great experience!

Such an amazing place to have meetings and coffee. The food, people and atmosphere are fantastic. Makes you feel welcome to spend hours working of reading or to hold a meeting. Great part of the community.

Beautiful coffee shop, now with whiskey! Theyve got an excellent selection, including some scotches and high-end whiskeys like Whistlepig. For coffee I usually get the cold brew. The staff are very friendly, the feel and decor are classic Portland. Definitely worth a visit.

I enjoyed the coffee! The service was great and personal. The shop warm and inviting. The patrons friendly. The Wi-Fi service great and they had a bathroom!I was waiting for the MAX into town and got so comfortable I wanted to wait for the next train. I will definitely return.

Cozy, trendy, come as you are coffee house. Delicious muffins, cookies and quiches. They also have great non-dairy options for teas and lattes. Staff are educated about their products and polite/friendly. Great place for groups, meetings, coming alone - all the above.

Been coming here for a long while and it still feels like an office building with some cool decorations in place. Decent coffee and food, but the ambience is loud and no real comfortable chairs or tables to converse long with friends. Good to get work done though if you need solid tables.

The hours are really odd for a Sunday... Its a coffee shop and some Sunday mornings I dont want to cook, so I wish this place was open, but they dont open until 2p. Aside from that, the coffee and food here is great, even though the options are limited. They also have alternative milks, which is nice. The staff are always friendly. Outdoor seating is sparse and every time Ive been, the indoor seating is limited also.

Great place to sit and watch near misses at the intersection. Really cool when a big train passes as well. But that might not be your thing.....so enjoy the coffee. It is good. Nice staff as well.

The theme of the place was really comfortable. Nice good quality things from yester year With no real rhyme or rhythm but they all seem to go together well.I walked up to the counter and was greeted with a friendly but not intrusive good morning. I ordered a drink and a coffee cake. I got a quad Carmel mocha. I sat down and almost immediately my drink was ready.It was overwhelmingly delectable and perfect. And not just like oh thats good like Starbucks good, it was smooth and frothy and creamy and rich all the way through. I kept expecting to get to the bottom of the deliciousness to the thin part which never happened. This was maybe the best quality mocha I have ever had in my entire life. Basically if I could come back here every single day I would.I highly suggest giving them a shot. The experience is excellent.

My main complaint about this place has to be one specific worker, who I always happen to get. I walk up to order, she doesn’t say anything. I try to read the options as she impatiently glares me down tapping her fingernails. I start to drink it with a friend, and I guess she wanted the table because she was glaring...again, tapping her fingernails. She starts cleaning directly on my table and near me as if to push me out of the room. She couldn’t just ask politely...The next time I went she was there of course. I was ordering again and received the same cold glare. I didn’t move out of the way fast enough so she impatiently and rudely said, it’ll be ready any minute. I didn’t even hardly have the chance to take my card. I don’t know how she even got hired here cause she doesn’t seem that good at her job. Other than that the coffee/tea would have been more enjoyable had I not been pestered by their employee.

I was invited here before, but wasnt able to make it that one day. However i was near by another day and got a tea that was amazing! Went back for a meeting and got the same tea and ordered it for a friend she to loved it! Staff was polite and it has a relaxing atmosphere.

There are not a ton of options around Tigard, this is a really nice one. Good amount of space for studying and nice staff. Good lattes.

These guys have the best homemade hot cocoa Ive EVER had! The atmosphere is very homey and open with separate rooms to hang out in.

I had the best cup of hot cocoa here. It was so delicious. I hear the coffee is great too. There are also pastries available and possible other food options. Parking is limited, and at peak time very full. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Update** The last few drinks I’ve gotten were exceptional. The baristas are nice but they’re busy so they can’t chat all day like some people in the reviews probably want. This location is beautiful. The design is excellent and it makes you feel like you’re somewhere that knows their stuff. I also love their espresso machine, the GB5 is my favorite of all time.

Great place to study and get some work done! Ordered an iced matcha latte, and it was delicious - not too sweet and the matcha was definitely high-grade, way better than the matcha beverages at your local chain coffee place . The back rooms are perfect for getting work done or studying :) If you like sitting in the front area, bring some headphones if you like a little quiet, cause the noise levels can get a little high during rush hour. Will definitely come back!

Make a good cup of hot chocolate, happy they let me put hazelnuts in it. Building feels a little cramped, and not many not coffee options on the menu, but overall nice.

Coffee is extremely nutty in flavor. The staff are friendly and there is tons of seating (they have numerous little rooms you can reserve).Everything tastes like its made from quality ingredients but by someone who doesnt understand how flavors work. The tea is no exception.The quality is there, but the price is a tad high for what you get
