Update: The response to this review was that the trees were opened and used. We did open them and set them up but the quality was not good. You could see right through the Christmas trees meaning that they are a cheap product for a high price. I had them for two days and called and asked I could return them. The manager said yes, but never mentioned a restocking fee and had already left for the day. I had to return the following day to again return the trees and take a $500 fee for their lousy product. This review will remain here until you make the decision to do the right thing.Restocking fee. What a joke. There was absolutely nothing wrong with what I returned and I have to pay almost $500 to return it? Crazy

The woman that helped me was super friendly. I felt like I was being a pain by having her search up a couple different colored chairs but she was extremely nice about it. Everyone at the pick up/dock area were also very pleasant. Great prices too!

Initial purchase went well. Dustin did a good job. Delivery was scheduled between 11am-2pm… 2:16pm no delivery. I called the store to inquire about what was going on that I hadnt received it nor received a call to inform me the delivery was delayed. The female rep that answered the phone was not personable at all, no regard to the fact that we sat and waited for the delivery and had not been received during scheduled window. She was not apologetic at all, which made me want to cancel my order. I didn’t appreciate her nor the driver not taking our time into consideration. After speaking with her, she called back about 2:30pmStating they were at my home for delivery, as if they had been waiting on me. Our patio set is nice, customer service was not!

We purchased a Vogue oval pool from the Romeoville location over 2 years ago and from day one have had issues with this pool. Its wavy and has indents on the side panels and the top caps do not sit flush. We paid $6000 for this pool and it looks like a cheap pool from Walmart. After a year of calling and emailing they replaced the liner, but didnt have the right rails so they sent an employee from the spa department to put the new rails on and my husband and I had to help him hold the cap and on so he could screw it on because it doesnt line up correctly, and the indents are still there. This company has given us the run around for 2 years and still continues to do so as I sent another email on May 23 requesting a refund or replacement pool and I still havent gotten a response.

Why a store would allow for customer pickups and not even be open on the weekend for people to get their merchandise is ridiculous. Also, don’t think about this outlet being stacked with great values. Half the shelves in the store are empty so don’t waste your time going there.

Disinterested receptuonist who was either totally out of her comfort zone or just didnt like her time interrupted by customers. Waited an inordinate amount of time to speak with someone else who could answer our question. Not a welcoming environment. Did however get our question answered and were directed to store in Orland.

5 stars all the way they had what I needed to close my pool and the employees there were very helpful and professional I will be back and they also had some kool Halloween things as well..

Really bad customer service. We bought an oval pool and they delivered it so far so good. Installers start installing Im missing 2 pcs. I send photos like they asked, part number very detailed. No response nothing for a week. I call they know nothing about it. Finally person thats suppose to be helping me Hilda or Hildy does not respond to any messages no answers. Finally my wife talks to someone Sherry says Ill call you with answers the next day, guess what no call. Wife is fed up and goes to their warehouse and gives manager part number boom he hands her the parts. He said nobody ever mentioned anything to him. Unbelievable customer service is so bad. Buying the pool was fine but better hope youre not missing anything.

I bought a pool heater a year ago. It worked for 3 days and the heat exchanger went out. After calling repeatedly since they would not return calls I was able to get a technician out. I was told they would get the part ordered, 8 months later I was able to get ahold of them and they had forgot that the part was there. They came out and put it in and the heater still does not work. None of my messages I leave are answered and I still dont have a working heater. I think I will push it out if my truck in front of the door at the store. I will let them know in a year or so if I will clean it up. This has been the worst customer service I have ever even heard of. I will let everyone know about how bad this place is and try to warn anyone who may be there when I bring the heater back. Since they dont return calls maybe this will help others.It seems weird that a response to a bad review gets posted within a couple hours but I still do not have an email or phone call about the parts coming from the manufacturer.Update: products they sell must not last more than 3 days. The bad heat exchanger ruined other parts so nothing will be done. It only took 1 year for them to do nothing.

The service at the store was good. I placed an order online for that store to pickup expecting to pickup that day. I wasnt notified till after order was placed that I had to wait for an email saying it was ok to pick up. A week went by and never received an email. I called the store and they said its here and didnt know why I wasnt notified. If had realized I would have to wait this long I would just had it delivered to my house instead of driving 45 minutes to the store

Very disappointed. Theyre usually fully stocked on pool things, they had more furniture than anything else. I waited 20 minutes for my items from the warehouse.

American Sale has the best customer service! I’ve placed 2 orders in the last week and needed some assistance. One order I accidentally clicked store pick up which I needed it to be delivered. I emailed and right away Hildy made arrangements for delivery. And I got my shipment next day! The second order is coming directly from the manufacturer and it had been 2 weeks without an update. Again Hildy looked into the matter and assured me it is on its way. Both times she was very prompt and helpful with my orders. Great customer service especially when everyone is shopping online.And the products at American Sale are great as well.

Spent an insane amount of wasted time in my day. Register door fell off, staff couldnt run my gift card and then credit wasnt working. Ended up running it 3x and then just rang it up as cash? I was skeptical on ordering from this company because a couple of bad reviews. However I’m glad that I did. I saw some aqua flow play Intex Kids mask at a resort in Florida. They wanted $20 a mask and I found them online here for $7.88 each. I had my order in three business days not paying any additional expedited shipping costs. Elena packaged my purchase with care. Do not order anything from this place. I ordered six days ago, they processed my order, said I would get a message for pickup in 24-48 hours (Since they are closed on Sundays) and have been calling ever since. They dont answer the phone most of the day at the warehouse, its an endless phone circle and then they hang up. After a different answer each day, I was told today, after they accepted my order and processed my order and debited my bank, that I am in line to receive the product, that its in high demand and its coming from somewhere else. No idea where. No idea whether I would get it before Christmas.

Delivered a load to them. Took them 1.5 hours to unload 8 skids and 1.5 hours to find the paperwork. I had to go inside and chase them down for the proof of delivery. They either don’t care about outside drivers, or they are just lazy.

Ordered the Lemax Mrs Clays’ Kitchen. It showed up quick but was missing the 4.5V power supply and also missing the sign board. Found a suitable power supply at home and the unit has motion but no music. Disappointed with this purchase.

Went here on a Saturday to shop for a Christmas tree since we were told they had some discounted. This was for my 2 year old daughter so she could dress up her own tree this year since she already was showing interest. Well... the staff arrived late with Starbucks in hand, when I asked an associate for assistance i was talked to like trailer trash, it was apparent that me asking for help inconvenienced her.We decided on a tree and it had to be pulled from the warehouse..... no one was there that could pull the tree. Ultimately we got garbage service and wasted 1 hour of our time since they could not even get the item.

We ordered a trampoline and Caitlin, our customer service rep, was very informative. Given social distancing we could not go and see the trampolines so her descriptions and information were very helpful. It only took a few days for delivery and they included the basketball hoop and stairs for free. The trampoline was delivered right on time and set up within an hour. Highly recommend!

I have been trying to get my hands on some of the lemax figurines for quite a while now. But they are always sort of expensive at the craft store near me. I found American sale online from lemax’s authorized sellers and the price was comparatively lesser and they also had a wider collection. Except for the shipping which was around ($17 minimum through fedex) I like the ones I ordered for Halloween and Christmas ✨ yes they are tiny, the figurines but Lauren K did a great job of packaging it and I received them without any damage. The best of my order was the Christmas carols figurines.. just perfect 👌 If the shipping is made free through usps in the future I will be placing more orders :)

I was very happy with my purchase on American sale to create my City Village for the holidays. It seems finding the right figurines to put in the village was hard and costly. American Sales had very decent prices some reduced prices so low made it easier to create my town. I cant say enough great things about Sherry K.@ American Sale!I ordered an above ground pool on June 3rd during the pandemic and was told it would arrive the first week of July...needless to say with all that was going on, the pool arrived 4 weeks late on July 31st.After the pool was delivered, I was to be placed on a install list and was told, they were averaging ~2 weeks. Unfortunately, a mixup occured and I was not added until over a week later! By the third week of August, I was given a date during the second week of September for my install leaving me with little-to-no chance of enjoying the pool due to the weather changes!I called and spoke to Sherry and she went to work immediately to try and get me a better install date since I had been initially left off the list. Sherry was able to speak with one of the installers who had a last minute cancellation and was able to get me installed in just a few days!I was ready to write off American Sale for future purchases until Sherrys sincerity, dedicatioin to customer satisfaction, follow through, follow-up, and pure professionalism saved the day!In this day and age, it is getting more and more difficult to find people who truly care...Sherry is one of those people!

Deceptive sales practices and poor service.

My husband and I went to the American sale store in Tinley Park. We saw Geoffrey and he was super helpful. He really took the time to explain everything to us because this is our first experience with buying a pool. We really liked their products, the sales man was good and needless to say we bought a pool lol.

Item came as advertised, and arrived quickly. Always a little weary of ordering from a place I never heard of, but good experience.

I was in need on a pool liner, and I did a search. From doing previous business, I saw an ad for a liner from American Sale. Rather than fumbling around on my phone, I called the TINLEY PARK location and spoke with a very nice rep named Sherry. She took me through the whole process and also told me some things that I would need but forgot to mention. It was the exact liner I wanted, and also what I needed was coping strips which I forgot about. Their prices are as good if not better than other pool places because to my surprise, I was getting a 30 gauge liner for the price I have paid for a 20 ga. So thank you to Sherry for being so nice to talk to, and I also got a follow up to make sure everything got here safely and not to mention, very quickly. Thank you all!

Although we have had a few large issues take place with installation, American Sales staff has been helpful and making sure we came toA resolution. As in any business, we had to communicate with our local American Sales then put in contact with Tinley Park for customer service. We were pleased they were willing to send one of their own out to look into our complaints and working from there. We kept everything documented which helped explain all that had taken place. We absolutely love our pool and have no complaints. We had a situation, but in time and working together we came up with a fair solution to it.We are very pleased with howThey are making sure everything is correct.

The best customer service. Great Company. We purchased a Spring Free Trampoline from American Sale. We moved last week and needed it disassembled and re assembled from old to hew house. Sherry K and Sara Johnson squeezed us in and knew of our urgency and made it happen in one day!! They value customer relationships and will do what it takes to go above and beyond...such great customer service. All employees are so helpful and very knowledgeable. We bought a pool to replace the existing one that we had. We had a small issue at first but it was handled amazingly by Sherry. Unfortunately at the time of installation I was Hospitalized and would not get home until after the pool was installed. Sergio did the installation and it couldnt of been done any better. Sergio and his team are true craftsmen and it looked perfect when I finally came home. A couple of our neighbors who are tradesman watched over the project and were very impressed. Thank you Sherry and Sergio for the years of memories and enjoyment that we will get from the pool.
