Twelve years ago, I bought a 2010 Honda Civic from Wendy. Every year, for 12 years, she sent me an email with good wishes on my birthday.Now it was time to buy a new car. First I visited dealerships all over Ann Arbor and metropolitan Toledo. None of them had the car I was looking for. Not one of them followed up with a call to see if I had found it.Then I called Wendy. I told her the model, style and color we had in mind. Over a couple of conversations, it became clear that if I gave here a deposit and had some patience, she could find me that car. I read her a credit card number over the phone for the $500 deposit, and two or three weeks later, it was ours.Later, I learned that numbers of my friends and social acquaintances had known and bought cars from her as well.I’m no longer young, and tend to keep cars for long periods of time, so Wendy’s path and mine may not cross again for some time if not ever again. But I recommend her and Brown Honda on Central Avenue, without hesitation.
Ahmad also known as AC was so great with helping me find a car I loved. I told him I wanted a black Honda passport and he did not disappoint. Used Browns “Express” oil change service - however it is not very express - took 2 hours! While I don’t expect it to be as fast as a quick oil change facility I would expect it to be less than 1 hour. The customer reps were courteous and they checked us in quickly but from there it took all of 2 hours.
Nick from Brown Honda did amazing. He was not pushy at all and got me a super great deal on my Ford Explorer.
Normally we have great service at the express service building. This time I needed my AC serviced so I had to schedule an appointment. I brought my Pilot in because it was blowing hot when AC was on and car was sitting. I informed the service tech Jonathan S that we brought the vehicle to them because our mechanic told us they had the equipment to recharge our year of Pilot and he didnt. The previous mechanic had checked compressor and stated it turns on fine so it probably just needed recharge and leak check. I let Jonathan know this (no compressor needed) and told him that if there was a large leak or problem let me know. He wrote down my cell. I got a call 5 hours later stating it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived he told me that it did not need a recharge and it was overfull, (no idea how since its never been touched) so they got it down to manufacturer levels (this cost $199.95) then he told me you got bigger problems so take it back to your guy (with an attitude) I said ok and paid $300 bill and left with no idea what was wrong with AC and nothing fixed. I was upset/confused about fee so I called service manager. (Marc Adkins) Left a voicemail Thursday. Left another voicemail Friday. Called again today and he finally answered. He was not in office Friday/Saturday and today their computers are down so he hadnt called me back yet. I told him everything that happened and he informed me that the $199 I paid was only for a recharge not to diagnose AC. That would be another $130 an hour. I asked him why I didnt get a call to inform me there was no leak and ask if I wanted to proceed with diagnosis. He said he didnt know. I told him that fee ($199) was never explained to me and I would have at least appreciated a call from Jonathan to notify no leak, besides attitude once he knew he couldnt up sale me a compressor that wasnt broken. I will avoid this service center from now on. They do not try to help and neither the service tech Jonathan S and service manager Marc A have a clue how to deal with upset customers. Marc even accused me of blackmail because I told him since he was no help with the issue (diagnosis or refund for no service being done) I was leaving a bad review. WHAT MANAGER ACCUSES A CUSTOMER OF BLACKMAIL??? I will now find a new place to take my vehicle for AC service, who actually cares about their customers and try to help us figure out what is wrong with the vehicle. Jonathan S and Marc A should get out of customer service or learn some tact.

We originally went to look at a used Honda Fit but it was already purchased. Started looking around & met Tim. He was very polite and not pushy, left us alone to look around and offered to help if we wanted anything. We were looking at a Honda CR—V and Tim came up and asked us if we wanted to test drive it. When we came back he wanted to know how we liked it and showed us the financing special Honda was doing. We stated we never decided on the spot and needed 24 hours. He never pushed, just said ok. We called him back a little over 24 hours later with a yes. Glad we did, love the vehicle it is a nice upgrade for us.We had switched to just doing offers over the internet or phone because of pushy salesmen in our past. Nice you can go look at a car without someone pushing you and you can’t go back to that dealership because you don’t want to speak with them again. So HAPPY we met Tim, straight forward with answers & not pushy. Happy to buy our next vehicle with Tim. Tim is what we look for in a salesman.
Vincent was down to Earth and made the car buying process enjoyable. From test driving the car to taking it home we were there less than 3 hours. It is refreshing when a salesman isn’t pushy and doesn’t try to swindle you. We had a very good experience, I would buy a car from here again and again and will refer anyone to Vincent.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Brown Honda is the way to go. THE Gold Standard when it comes to customer service. I had recently financed a car through them a few months back and was scheduled to go in for a quick oil change/tune up. When life hit and I had a flat tire the day before, that didn’t change anything. With very little notice the team at Brown Honda were able to get everything done in the quickest time I’ve probably ever seen anybody work on a vehicle. I didn’t even sit in the waiting room long enough to get comfortable. This place is the place to go, don’t even think twice about it. All love to everyone at Brown Honda!

They are asking $28,000 for this rental crapppp (U587323) with structural damage. It was repaired terrrribly, the hood touches to the fenders, the deck lid touches both sides and rough paint. The previous owner sent me pics before it was repaired and I am loading it. Dont buy from these dishonest people

My tire pressure light came on and I drove straight there. I had swerved to avoid debris in the road and hit a curb so I wasn’t surprised when the light came on. They got me in right away and kept me updated on the progress of replacing my tire. They always take care of me and yet another reason why I remain loyal to Brown Honda.

Brought car in for repairs after a fender bender. They did a great job working around our schedule, sorting out estimate for repairs with insurance, and remained in touch through the whole process. They even followed up directly with insurance for us when we discovered they sent two separate checks for different amounts. We’ve had repairs made over the years at different dealerships & the communication from Brown was by far the best we’ve experienced.

We purchased a 2018 Honda Accord andI noticed right away that the remote start was not working and the car needed rotors. I checked with our salesman and he said to make an appt with the service dept. I was able to schedule an appt online. They got me in quickly and had the car for one day. They replaced the rotors and fixed the remote start. Im very happy they stood behind the product and the car they had certified. Thats how you keep customers for life.

We had a great experience. Shanna was incredibly responsive and searched for the exact car we wanted since it wasn’t available at their dealership. She arranged for it to be sent to Brown Honda and had everything ready to go for us when we came to pick it up. Automatic starter & oil change schedule, asked check for leaky tire. They didnt do oil change and only got one remote for starter @ very expensive price thought would have got 2 remotes. Valve stem sensor very expressive not covered under warranty, but he did kick 40$ off. Was very polite and considerate of my concerns. Going give him another chance asked if maybe able get rid of service charge if I buy the other remote I didnt get since it would of been included if they done at install . Was my first time ever having work done at a dealership hopefull-for-improvement. Was nice to pull in be seen right away, and very clean shop . Oil change 30% away on dash from being needed to be done but havent had one yet only had car a few months
Had airbag recall completed. Steve was very helpful and professional. Kept us updated throughout day on work being done. Service excellent. Will definitely use Brown Honda again!

There is really nothing express about their express service. It would be much easier if you could schedule service and avoid multiple hours waiting for an oil change. Then they tried significantly over charging me for the service. I will not go back here.
Were up from Florida to visit loved ones & this is the second year in a row you have saved our trip. In 2020 it was our A/C CONDENSER & THIS YEAR IT WAS THE BATTERY. Last year our 2020 Civic had 2500 miles & this 12,000. This is the 6th Honda weve leased since 2010 & the 1st one:were had issues with. Cant than Brown Honda enough!!!!!

Horrible service writer that charged us for a service that was never done. All he was looking for was to sell us up on parts to begin with before we even had any clue what the problem is. We turned down the ac compressor up sale because we had that checked already so they did not check any of the rest of the ac system. But oh we got charged for a full AC checkup not sure how that works. Now we have left messages with service manager and no response. We have gone here multiple times in past with no issues until we got this service writer now I dont want to ever go back.
The service rep was awesome, thank you John. He was the only one working and he really had his hands full but still served everyone with great care.However, it was disappointing that a tire rotation wasn’t included in the free service after the purchase of my car. I would recommend including that in the future for true 5 star customer service!

I have a car in the dealership with electrical issues had it less then 6 months. The dealership will not routine my calls and has not supplied me with a loaner vehicle and yet still have to pay for a car I am not driving. Will never lease from Honda dealership again

Johnathan is a very friendly gentleman offering something to drink and a seat to sit for my family; and while waiting he entertained my 4 yr old daughter. Professionalism played an important role with the knowledge of his job, which he took very serious. Getting my family approved for the vehicle and set on our way was quick and in a reasonable time and manner.
The process of purchasing a used vehicle was hassle free and quick. I came in with a loan pre-approval and was offered an option for using one of their banks. I chose to finance through my own bank. I also chose not to purchase a separate warranty. There was no high pressure sales pitch for either. There was a minor issue with the radio that could not be fixed before I took possession and they ordered the part and agreed to fix the issue. I have never been in and out of a dealership quicker. When it was time to leave, the vehicle was freshly washed and ready for me. Overall, it was a great car buying experience.

I have brought my car to this dealership for almost 2 years now (using the Honda Express Service) and have always had a great experience. I’m not sure what was going on today. My husband brought my car in for a routine oil change and to have the coolant flushed. He took it to the Express Service and was expecting for there to be a little wait due to it being first come first serve. He was not expecting it to take 5 hours!!! That is an insane amount of time for such a routine maintenance. The service guy was apologetic but this is still unacceptable.

Wasnt happy with paying too much for the vehicle I purchased, but the dealership was very aware of the market conditions and took full advantage of it to charge a large premium over the fair value. I think its pretty short-sighted to do this to customers who could choose another dealership for future business. Salesman was courteous and the paperwork was prepared ahead of time to make it quick. Was extremely disappointed to discover the battery was nearly dead and needing replacement; this was easily determined by putting a meter on it taking only seconds to find out. The spare tire was also flat. These issues could have stranded me on the drive home from the dealer and wouldnt be checked by many customers who would rely upon them being routinely checked prior to sale. Obviously its a buyer beware situation even when being gouged. Cannot recommend this dealer due to these issues. Look elsewhere for good value on a reliable vehicle.

I have used Brown service for my last three Honda. Im more than satisfied with their service, timeliness and respect for the customer. My only concern is when they suggest or recommend when its not necessary.
