Worked with Alex and I would not recommend. I bought a car because I liked the car. The sales person was horrible. Did not answer his phone when I called and came off as if I was wasting his time.To top things off, when I picked up the car, he gave it to me almost on empty. Not sure if that was on purpose or not, but would not recommend using Alex as a salesman to anyone.The finance team and the car itself is great.
This review is for the service centerI brought my subaru BRZ in for a recall about 2 weeks ago. So my car has been sitting up there while they check the VIN (the vehicle is heavily modified) so i was told they are gathering information on if they can even preform the recall. No harm no foul, Ill give them the benefit of the doubt with the currently labor issues going on. However...1 week goes by, no phone call so i called and checked in. Was told they are waiting for subaru to get back with them (odd, they are a subaru certified dealership so realistically shouldnt take that long right?) Was told they would call me back. Almost 2 weeks pass and no phone call. So i called on 10/11. Got ahold of somebody and was told the same thing, they are checking the vin with subaru and i would receive a call from a manager by End of day. End of day comes around, no call. So i called back 3 times on 10/12. Nobody answered, left a message. Called again on 10/13. Was told that no service associates are available to take my call.Recommend going to a different subaru service center because this whole senario is like pulling teeth. Its been 2 weeks, no update from Yark subaru besides they are gathering info
9/28/21 Update:: after talking to taylor kia today i was told there has been a recall on my new used car i bought on 9/17 from yark since april and not taken care of by yark. I was not informed of this or find this appropriate not to have been previously taken care of by yark. Left another message with my car salesperson -nick- with no response.9/27/21-9 days after I bought a 2020 Kia soul, the check engine light came on (this was yesterday). After multiple calls today, I was finally able to get a hold of my salesperson (Nick) and he told me to call the service center and tell them to get me in ASAP. When i called the service center i had to leave a message and call back about 5 hours later to check up because no on had called back. FInally i get a hold of service manager (Steve)and he basically told me I couldnt go there even though I had just bought the car there Sept 17 and to take it to a Kia service center. I felt he not very understanding or friendly, but like he was irritated i called. Then i called Nick back but of course i got voicemail and no call back. And to top it off i left a message with my financial advisor at Yark (Mark) this morning to call me back about a question on the loan and believe it or not no call back from him either. IM very very frustrated.and no
Had a recall and oil change done. I utilized the drop off and pick up service. I was dropped off at the Panera down the street (5minute drive). After I confirmed the car was finished, pick up didn’t come for an hour. I tried to contact yark Subaru. Had my call transferred from the operator 3 times and no one picked up. Driver who was supposed to pick me up also did not pick up his phone. No one told me there would be a significant delay. It would have been faster to walk. I don’t understand why no one would let me know. Had to call 5 times to get someone from the dealership to come out. Worst experience ever. Would probably go to a dealership an hour away since it would be a shorter waste of time.

I do NOT recommend purchasing a vehicle from Yark if you are not local. I found the perfect vehicle and reached out to their sales department to schedule an appointment to come test drive. This required me to take an entire afternoon off of work, find a ride there as my intentions were to purchase the vehicle, and drive 2 1/2 hours one way there, making it 5 hour trip minimum. I called before I left to confirm that the vehicle was still available, and was told it was there ready for me and nobody had looked at it all day. An hour and a half into my drive I receive a text—thankfully I wasn’t driving and could read it—that somebody was looking at the vehicle and talking numbers. I was told I would have an answer in about 5 minutes, so we continued on only to receive a dismissive text of, “It sold… I’m sorry man” 30 minutes later. While I cannot speak to how they treat local customers, given this experience I do not recommend doing business with this establishment if it is not face to face.

Called about a car that had just come in and was told it wasn’t even available yet. Asked to be contacted as soon as it became available but instead was contacted the next day to tell me it had been sold out from under me, so I was obviously not contacted as it became available as I was told I would be. Very disappointing experience.Update: I was able to work with a very friendly and helpful salesperson named Mia and she did her absolute best to find me something else, but unfortunately did not have any stock that I was interested in purchasing.
The financial manager Brett did amazing. He really worked to make sure we got the best price for our car and the lowest interest rates. I would highly recommend these guys for new and used cars.

Starting with my three year lease to my buy out of last year I put up with the incompetent staff and awful customer service at this dealership, the last straw was when I needed roadside assistance and learned that they mistakenly canceled my vehicles Added Security contract I had purchased with my Subaru buy out ... it took four hours but the problem was resolved and I finally got the assistance I needed. Shortly after, I received a new contract in the mail for the Added Security agreement, I had questions about this new contract, so I called customer service, as usual, all I got was the runaround and was asked to please leave a message, whom I left with three different people, 5 days later, not one of them has returned my calls, this dealership is terrible to work with, I dont care if I have to drive hundreds of miles to another dealer, Ill never set foot in Yark Subaru again!
Brought my car in for an oil change and to have air pressure sensor reset. Oil change and tires rotate with no problem. Upon getting home I was told I had no tail lights my tail lights work fine when I got there. We checked the fuse box got the lights working however I called and no one returned my call. Also stated I didnt want a car wash on receipt which was not true I always want a car wash

For my first oil change in my new Subaru I went on line to schedule an appointment. Their website said for an oil change no appointment is necessary. When I arrived at their express oil change I was told it would be three hours because of the scheduled oil changes ahead of me.Now 2 1/2 weeks later I am trying to get a remote starter put on. I have been calling since 8 am this morning. I cant begin to tell you how many messages I have left. It is now almost 11:30. All I can say is buy local. Its so important to have good customer service. Local dealerships take care of their customers because they know them. Their customers are more than a number, they are neighbors.
Time to rant a little.1. My Subaru got stuck in snow and burned out the clutch and flywheel2. Towed it to Yark Subaru to be told that its damage and not maintenance.3. So I called State Farm to file a claim due to damage from the elements. They deny the claim stating its a maintenance issue4. I go back to Yark Subaru and work with @Steve Shenefield and show him the claim and provide them the proof of my extended gold plus with added security plan that covers both parts. I get told that they are not covered, refusing my service plan. The service manager told me to my face that he would call Subaru of America, Inc. To discuss this further.5. 24 hours later, nothing. So I call Subaru USA myself and had to file my own claim and was told they never received a call from Yark Automotive Group. So I was lied to by the service manager Steve Calevro6. Subaru calls me back in less than 4 hours and was advised my service plan does not apply as it was said it was abuse and thats not covered.7. So here I am with a car Ive had for almost 2 years and have put maybe 15k miles on it. And my car is damaged from getting stuck in 2 feet of snow, My car that is designed to withstand elements such as this. A car that is built for rally. Yet 2 feet of snow is enough to make it inoperable. Really speaks a lot about the quality of the parts on my performance machine.8. So here I am with a $2700 repair cost and a $2200 extended service that apparently doesnt cover anything. I started a new claim to get a refund on my service agreement since both Yark Automotive Group and Subaru are refusing to provide the services that I paid for.
We went into Yark Subaru after my car unexpectedly stopped working. Jennifer was a wonderful help and very accommodating. We were unable to complete the paperwork the Saturday we went in, but Jennifer scheduled us a time that worked great for us and got us on the road Monday afternoon. I was extremely pleased and know when husband needs a new car we will not hesitate to return to Yark Subaru and Jennifer.
We took our 2015 Subaru in for the exhaust recall. While there, they also did a thorough inspection. Problems were detected that we were not aware of. They were in contact with us throughout the process and performed all of the services required, and gave us a loaner for the two days at no cost to us. Always very polite and courteous every time we have taken our vehicle to them.
The staff here will work with you through anything it seems. the Pandemic, Me buying from out of state, and all the leg work that had to be done with that in mind, was all handled well and professionally at this dealer. I appreciated the steps they took as well to keep things easier on me who had to travel to get the vehicle. In particular I was impressed by their knowledge and how they made sure to tell me about the car and were able to answer any question I had about the features and options. I would buy a car here again.
Drove fours hours to look at the vehicle after discussing that we would like to buy it. Test drive was nice but I did notice the right rear tire had a slice in the side wall not a huge deal just needed a new tire. At that point I was informed that they cant sell us the car because of the tire even though ohio doesnt have a inspection law and the car was as is? We were told we can come back on Monday? Poor customer service thanks for wasting our time.

We were looking for a 2017 Forrester and found one with low mileage at Yark Subaru, 200 miles away from home. The staff at Yark were very easy to work with and we made an appointment to come and buy the car. The car was just as advertised and we bought it. What happened next is why this isnt a 5-star rating. The finance manager badgered me to buy an extended warranty, despite my firm and repeated statements that I wasnt interested. He continued to ignore (not even respond to) my requests to conclude the purchase and offered me a different warranty over and over and over again. Im 75 - and was tired from the drive there and hungry for lunch. I finally yielded and bought the warranty and drove the car back home, another three hours on the interstate. The next day, I called and complained and the Yark manager canceled the warranty and apologized. The car is terrific, the Yark sales staff were terrific and the experience was good, with that one exception. Just watch yourself when going into the finance managers office to conclude the deal!
This was the best experience we had at a car dealership. We explained to them that we narrowed down our search between s Ford Explorer and a Subaru Ascent. It all came down to our trade in and they went even better than expected.
We have used Yark Subaru in Toledo since we moved to MI in 2010. Their service has always been excellent. Everyone we have interfaced with has been professional, polite and helpful. I’m so pleased we just purchased a 2020 Ascent Touring from them. They are a great outfit; very thorough with their customer service. I recommend them to everyone I know!

It always takes forever and they always come back with a list of things that are wrong with my car.I only went back because it was a recall situation.I was sitting in the waiting room when they moved all of my belongings. If they had asked I would have done it myself.Small amount of cash was gone along with a brand new mask.Hope I dont have to go back soon.

Was there 07/03/2020, and a gentleman by the name of Steve was very helpful. I was visiting from out of state, and I wanted a recall service done, since my car was shaking so much and the engine light was on, which I had assumed was from the faulty part being recalled. Steve let me know that I was not going to get immediate service ( since I didnt have an appointment) but made sure the car was checked and I was assured it was safe to drive back to Maryland.The facility was very clean, all the workers had masks on, and I believe all customers were required to have one too, which was very reassuring, because some stores in small towns in Ohio had no mandate on masks; why? I will never understand. Subaru also had tables and chairs spaced out to ensure social distancing.Thanks to everyone who helped.Nothing beats good customer service and conciousness towards a pandemic.I would highly recommend Yark Subaru.Keep it up!!👍🏿👍🏿

I helped my mother select her newest vehicle. She thought she wanted a Forester, however it was way too big for her. (09 to 16 is a large size change). Nick helped us test drive several vehicles until she found her perfect fit. It happened to be an Impreza 2016 premium package. We had outside financing, but Araya helped us immensely with processing paperwork quickly and accurately. This was a wonderful experience priced perfectly. No issues even though she was a Michigan buyer.
I bought a used Honda crv with a bad battery. The salesperson said a dome light must have been left on overnight and he jumped it and it started right up that was Monday. I picked my vehicle up on Wednesday and on Saturday surprise surprise dead battery. So I bought a new battery and called Mark Egan and told him what happened he apologized and said he had no idea it had a bad battery hahaha yea right . Then he asked if I could send him a receipt of the battery I did he said hed have to talk to a manager and to my surprise he said they would send a check in the mail...well its been over a month now and no check.Not surprised but if they were not going to reimburse me they should have said so instead of lying after all it was a used car with no warranty. So great car but I dont like being lied too.
Dan my sales man was just great. I called him & he was IMMEDIATELY on top of it. I came in from out of town to view the car. Everything that he said they were going to do they did just that and kept me abreast all along the way. Chris my finace guy was patient & made sure the transaction had NO issues. PERFECT was my transaction along with my new car.

Took my car in for airbag recall. Prior to that my car has been very well maintained by a reputable import specialist repair shop for oil changes and other needed repairs.. When I picked my car up from Yark they had without my knowledge or prior approval gone over my car to check everything. They presented me with a list of needed repairs totalling over $2000. The following day the the engine, oil, cruise, and temp lights came on. I checked and there was no oil in the car even though I got an oil change and new oil pan and seal replaced one month prior. I am speechless.
I love my Subaru and the staff is extremely nice; however, NEVER believe their wait time estimate. My 30 minute service time today was 2.75 hours. When I bought the car, I was here a total of 5 hours (took 2 days due to COVID). Similar to other places, due to COVID they cant have coffee or snacks which would have helped the waits be more pleasant... Lol.
Steve in service was great, helped as much as they could and patched my tire while traveling. Great experience.
They have been nothing but pleasant to deal with here. Bought a 2014 chevy Sonic LTZ from the BMW part of Yark. The car went in this week for head gasket replacement. They gave me a loaner car to drive while the sonic is in for repair.
The appointment was at 7:30AM on 6/17/20. We were taken right away and was told it would take approximately 90 minute. It was ready to go in less than 2 hours! Great job!
Went in for a recall and a 40pt inspection. Only thing they came up with was a timing belt and spark plugs for $1000....this theory was based on the cars mileage and nothing else (both were done with OE parts 1500 miles ago for $140 and 2 hrs of time). They never caught the spent brake pads on front and back, 2 ball joints with ripped boots and a broken rear sway end link. So much for their inspection. At this point Im wondering about the recall work as well. Would never even consider using them again.

I was treated in a very rude way by a man named Steve. Finally, the manager (also Steve) was able to speak to me like normal humans do. Also, for whatever reason they unlatched both car seats I had and did not latch them back, nor did they inform me that they unlatched them. My grandkids are old enough to get in their seats by themselves. All I do is snap them in. Therefore I did not notice initially that the seats had been unlatched!!! Luckily, as I went to shut the door I saw a hook on the seat. I just cant believe that.VERY IRRESPONSIBLE!
They were very professional. With the current pandemic they took all the necessary precautions. All of the staff that I interacted with where friendly and willing to answer any questions I had, as well as knowledgeable about the various service packages that were available to me.

The service department at Yark Subaru is outstanding! A special call out to Dustin, Steve and Bryan. I was traveling for work and staying in Toledo when I had an issue with the rear hatch door on my 2019 Subaru Ascent not latching. It was after 4:30 and soon time for them to close when I called, but Dustin said stop by and we will see what we can do. They fixed the issue, were extremely helpful and friendly in the process, and had me back on the road in no time flat.Thank you for the help. Nick was very helpful and super knowledgeable about everything I asked. I was set on a Legacy and he tried his hardest to find one for me all over the country. But he also showed me options. By him showing me options, I walked away with an Outback touring XT. Explained it had everything I wanted plus room. I didn’t even consider it until I saw my options. He worked hard on making sure I left happy and contacted me after to make sure everything was going ok. They also connected me to set up a time to have one on one time with someone to help me get to know this system. We ended up buying 2 cars that day.

I Do not recommend this place for Subaru service. The place is very hard to find, with high traffic, and the address is not valid in my iPhone gps. I called when I was lost and no one answered the phone to help. Then the man who took my car, Steve, was rude and was short with everything he talked to me about. NEVER AGAIN!

After the review posted, Dave immediately called us to ask what happened and to discuss how he could improve our experience. We met with him personally to go over our concerns and questions, and left feeling 100% better about buying our vehicle from Yark. He has true commitment to his customers, and we felt appreciated and satisfied after leaving his office. Its been a long time since we interacted with someone who has displayed this amount of dedication to his job. Went in Monday morning and asked to drive a couple cars, they set me up no problem immediately when I told them that I wanted to test drive a few other cars at some other dealerships, they didnt bother me at all. When I came back and decided on the legacy, they were able to get me a good deal and seemed mostly honest about getting me the best out of my money. Even though they couldnt get me the exact coloring I wanted, I rather like my new car.

We recently purchased a used truck from Yark and had a great experience! Nick Cook met us as soon as we arrived at the dealership and he was 100% professional and customer oriented right from the start. He had the truck waiting for us and took us around it, answered our questions then came with us on the test drive since we were not familiar with the area.The sales piece went as well as could be expected. Nick really went to work for us to give us the best deal he could get for us for the truck. Purchased a used van from Yark. Overall the dealership was good. I didnt feel they were exceptional with their service but everyone was professional and courteous. I am pleased with my purchase and the price was reasonable for a reputable dealership. No follow up from salesman after two weeks. Like I said, good but not exceptional.

When we were ready to talk she helped us arrive at an equitable lease agreement. She was very helpful as we determined the ideal mileage for the lease. Fantastic buying experience. The staff was great, the financial team are there for you and there was zero pressure. We were in and out within a hour and a half which is amazing considering it can take hours and hours to complete a sale. We will definitely be back for our next addition.

I bought my car from the Chevy dealership in Whitehouse, they had the car I was looking at brought to me. Jason (the salesman) that I worked with made the experience all worth it. He made it seem as if there was no stress in the process and made sure I knew I was the one making the decisions. Kevin the accountant was also helpful. Excellent service. I had a situation where a third party shop botched a wheel bearing installation on my Crosstrek. The wheel bearings were destroyed in under 300 miles, and both rear ABS sensors were damaged as a result. Took it to Yark to be fixed, the service adviser Dustin worked with the wheel bearing warranty company to cover the wheel bearings, and the third party shop for the ABS sensors, so that I didnt have to pay anything out of pocket. He saved me a massive headache and a potential legal battle. From now on, Ill have all of my work done at Yark

I worked with Jennifer Painter on the sales team and Mark Thomas in finance. This was the most clear cut purchase decision I have ever made on a car. Jennifer was knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions with fair replies and ZERO BS. Mark made sure I got a good rate on financing and clearly explained the pros and cons of all options in order to make sure I made the right decision. I literally cannot think of a way I could have a better experience. They even have name-brand coffee w(Starbucks) while you wait, though I didnt do much waiting because the service was so excellent.
