I had a transmission rebuilt in my 2008 Chevy Colorado, Aldo noticed that I plowed snow with it and said he could rebuild it, so I could plow snow with it and never have any trouble with it. I said sure let’s do it, he even warrantied the job but said he knows I will not have any issues with it, also my fuel mileage has improved 2 mpg with the new rebuilt transmission too! I brought my 2007 Ram to Al at Coast after getting the run around at several other places. My Transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt and I had an oil issue which could have been a possible engine replacement. Al built my Transmission out for heavy duty towing and hauling since I use the truck for work and gave me a great warranty on parts and labor. He also pressure washed my engine and took care of the oil leak instead of trying to upsell me on an engine like the other guys. If you want an honest and stand up guy who isnt going to give you the run around, Al is your guy. I will definitely be back to Coast for my future repair needs.

Al went above and beyond the call of duty for me. Usually when I walk into a shop, they try to rip me off since Im a female and they assume that I dont know anything car related. Al on the other hand, was the complete opposite! He explained everything to me and told me how they would get my truck up and running the way it should be! During the pandemic it has been extremely tough financially, but Als pricing made me realize theres some good left in the world! Was there last week told him my mechanic said my transmission was leaking. Left my car there and ended up calling him the next day ! He told me he couldn’t get to it that he would get to it the next day! I was patient and waited for next day, again I had to call him he told me to come in that he had the car on lift and needed to talk to me ! I get there and the car is in the lot Then he tells me that the transmission is fine . It’s the power steering motor, hose, and cooler. He tells me $1500. And he tells me to get a new mechanic. I brought my car home because I know my mechanic is not wrong it’s my son’s friend. I told my son’s friend what he said and he took my car back to his house and checked it and he said it’s the transmission, not the power steering. My son’s friend doesn’t have a lift so he couldn’t lift it up. He showed me the place where the leak was.I told my boss and he asked his mechanic to take a look at it . His mechanic said it was a screw that was loose at the bottom of the drain pan! He cleaned it and tighten it, no more leak. Beware of dishonesty and this shop is dishonest!

I brought my car in to get detailed and my car was in pretty bad shape with pet messes. They were so friendly and helpful. They had it ready for me quickly and it looks like a brand new car. They went above and beyond to make my car look good. I will definitely be returning and will recommend them to my friends and family.

I left my classic 1954 Ford there al the owner told He could repair the steering on the car. He said about three weeks and he ordered parts $1,200 which was half the price of the repair about $2300 I said the car must be kept inside or covered cover was in the trunk. He had the car 4 months! He left the car outside, uncovered and now all the chrome is going rusty! He also never fixed the car! He also said he could sell the car which was not true! They just brought the car back and said nothing! I would never recommend this place to anyone

I can not say enough good things about Coastal Transmission. They are the nicest and most helpful. Anything that they could do to help me they did. My car is now perfect and runs better then it has in a long time. I will never go anyplace else with my car.

Ive been going to Coastal Transmission for over three years. The repairs are excellently done. In the beginning of May 2016, I went in for and oil change, new spark plugs, and to find out why my brakes shimmied. All the work was excellently completed. The price was phenomenal in comparison to other auto repair places. Finally, I do not have to fear being ripped off or someone trying to suggest unneeded repairs. Also, all auto repairs services are offered from collision repair to installation of new windshield wipers. No job to big or to small. Thank you, Coastal Transmission and Performance.

Met al a few years back at a party and we hit it off right away nice guy. Was having problems with my 72 el Camino and called these guys up. Al got me in a couple days later got the car running better then it ever has and did it for a good price. I recommend these guys especially with a classic car and will be returning if I need more work done.

Have a 2006 Lincoln LS that the dealership said was not worth fixing, and that they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Had it brought to Coast Transmissions on a close friends recommendation, and the car was fixed within a week, at a reasonable price, and with a full explanation of the issues. Highly satisfied with the work done, and would recommend to a friend or family member any day!

This shop is by far the friendliest I have ever been to. Al gave me the best price within all of New Jersey. Al is absolutely the guy to go to. No question about it. From the moment I pulled up to his shop, he treated my 65 El Camino like it was his own. His knowledge of these old beauts, to his attention to detail, he thoroughly explained to me everything we did to my car along the way. By his recommendation we swapped my old powerglide with a TH350 and my oh my! What a difference. He made my engine run and look absolutely brand new & even custom built me a dual exhaust. My car now turns heads everywhere I go! My favorite thing about Al though is he will be honest with you. If he thinks someone else can do a better job with something specific, he will let you know. I brought my Scion Xb with 200,000 mikes to Coast Transmission as I thought the trans was slipping. Al fixed 2 wires and told me I also needed front Tie Rods. Since I could not afford Trans & front end work I had him fix the front end. While on the lift he found that I needed a rear wheel bearing.. I had that fixed and he waited for me until 7:30 PM as I needed the car. Car runs great and i didnt feel any trans slipping. Could be that was not the problem. Al is competitive (I checked other shops) and uses top quality parts. Guaranteed for life. I will use Coast transmission again. Thank Al.

I needed a second opinion on my transmission because I didnt feel comfortable with the one I got. I am so glad I went to Coast Transmission and got an honest one from Al. I will be coming back for my regular servicing from now on.

Took my Charger in for a leaking 727. It has been leaking for over 6 years and multiple shops have attempted to fix it and they had gotten no where. Then I strolled by to see to see Al about it and he guarenteed it could be fixed. Within 2 days I had the car back and there isnt a single drip under that car. The pricing was great also. I spent so much to try to fix it. And I came here one time, paid less and they fixed on the first try. Should have come here originally. Highly recommended.

About 2 weeks ago my family and I went down to seaside heights beach and we were about 15 minutes away from the beach when my car started to pull back as i tried to accelerate, i pulled into a gas station let the car cooled down for about 5 minutes and then turned it back on again everything was fine for about 2 minutes then it started doing it again and thats when the check engine light came on, My worst fear as i had just bought the car used 1 week prior to that, right there and then i knew i had to pull into a mechanic and see what they could do for me, i was blessed to find Coast transmission opened on a saturday and as i pulled in, desperately with 1,000 things running through my mind i was met by Al the owner. I asked him if he can please take a look and see what he can do for me, he expressed he is not usually there on saturdays and i believe that everything happens for a reason, as i tried calling my insurance company and trying to get a rental to make sure our weekend was not ruined, Al called enterprise before they closed at 1 and made sure we got a rental and they even picked us up from his shop, i left my car at his shop as he tried to figure out what was actually wrong and what kind of work it needed done, i usually do not leave my car with just anyone especially 100s of miles away from home as we are from York, PA but Al gave me that sense of trust since we met. After all he gave me a estimate of how much it would be and i was not ready for it and i decided to sell it instead, Al took care of eveything and kept me updated through the process. I highly recommend Als shop.. thank you Al for everything you did for my Family on July 20th.

More than a shop, they are family. They dont just fix your auto mobile, they take care of you. They dont up charge you and throw around a bunch of terms, you may or may not be not know. They take their time with you and are honest.

They also do fabrications! I needed a hole drilled into an eye bolt to lock in my spare tire onto the bed and Al hooked me up. Nice and quick...and I was on my way!

Aldo and his guys did an amazing job of rebuilding my dads entire corvette engine top to bottom. So many parts were unavailable they had to custom make the parts.
