Johnson Storage & Moving did a great job with my move. I have moved across country three times now and Johnson, by far made, this the easiest move.

I would give them a 0 if I could.Our household goods were scheduled for three day’s pack up and move out. We confirmed with them two days prior that we were still on schedule. First day we called around 10 am to see where they were at. Josh (the manager) said that they’d be there no later than 2pm. 2pm rolls around with no one showing up. Called Josh back and was told they’d be there no later than 5 pm. Called back and he assured us they would be there first thing in the AM next day. Literally the same thing happens the next day. They finally showed up the third day around 11 am. We are a 6 person household and told Josh over and over that there is no possible way for our hhg to be packed up and loaded in one day. He assured me that it will happen. I voiced concerns about it being a rushed job and not wanting to to open boxes to broken things due to negligence. He proceeded to get huffy and puffy with me staying “ it’s not like it’s going to make a difference if they come tonight verses tomorrow”. He said they would send 8 guys extra out to help. We had four total. They did not finish packing and moving out our house on the 3rd day. At 10 pm the crew stated they were leaving and would be back the next day. The driver stated to us he was already over the 14 hr work day and if he was caught driving he would lose his license. I asked if Josh knew that and he stated that he doesn’t care as long as the job gets done. What kind of boss treats their employees like that? Risking them losing their license because they themselves cannot schedule properly? Crew members were stating they weren’t coming in the next day and weren’t going to tell Josh ( I don’t blame them one bit). The poor workers were all over the base trying to pack up multiple houses. We had one guy walk off the job stating it was too much for him. Our house was left a wreck with empty bottles they left, packing tape, boxes and some of our stuff (like our bed bracket) that looked like they were hidden so they didn’t have to pack it.When we finally got our stuff this week we had no hardware for our bed. All of our stuff was not packed property and just thrown in boxes which are now broken. I had multiple boxes of just packing paper. My stone table was not boxed and just rolled onto the truck now has a crack. My daughters bed, chest and dresser are broken. I’m missing wine glasses from France that I cannot just re buy. The list goes on. If you are Military and they have picked up your hhg contract, is drop them immediately. Out of multiple moves, this was the worst.

Best moving company money can buy!

After calling eight companies and not finding anyone available to help us move for a month...we were grateful that Johnson Storage and Moving could move us pretty quickly. The property survey and estimate were done easily and quickly over the phone. We did have to call them a few times to verify the date and time of their arrival, after they didn’t call us as promised. They promised 4 movers but only 3 showed up. After one of their crew was injured, the two that were left worked very hard and quickly. They were careful with our furniture, even though it was very heavy for two men to lift. Only damage that occurred was to our wall in our new home, which the mover said that they would send someone to fix. The movers were courteous and willing to move anything wherever we asked them to.We called their main office the next day to discuss our bill, as we didn’t receive the 4 movers as promised and they didn’t work the 10 hours we were billed for. We were promised a partial refund, which we are waiting on. We are also awaiting an emailed form from the company regarding the wall damage. Overall, our experience with this company was good. We hope they follow-through in the refund and the wall repair.

Too Strong Crew did an amazing job! They basically packed up our entire 2 story house in one day. They were wonderfully professional and extremely hard working. Being a military family, we move often and this has been the BEST moving crew weve ever had. Thank you for the wonderful service!

I will be honest and say this was my 2nd move with Johnson Moving. The 1st move was less than impressive. However I thought I would give them another chance to at least give me a price perhaps get a discount based on exp from previous move. The company did get a new GM and he was the main reason I decided to let Johnson move me again . He called and talked to me and explained that he was equally embarrassed on how the previous move went and that he would personally guarantee that this move would be different and he was right. The crew arrived on time and actually finished the job under the estimate . They were fast and careful. The more impressive part is that the Manager actually called after the move just to make sure the move went well. I dont post reviews normally but felt it was necessary when a company makes good on a promise and also continue to offer customer service after the job.

Had two strong crew do all the packing for my move. They were friendly and courteous. Have no worries that all my household goods will arrive in same shape as I last saw them. Highly recommend them for your moves!

This move went absolutely perfect. To be honest I was worried at first based on the reviews but they informed me in the change of management and was even able to speak to the new manager and I felt comfortable moving forward . The crew arrived on time and protected my home and my furniture. Im glad i gave them a chance because it was the best move I have ever had .

Honestly you only need to speak to the General Manager (josh) to know this company cares about how every customer is treated. My wife is stationed at Fort Leavenworth and they contracted Johnson Moving to pack and move our stuff to Texas . We needed 2 days of packing and the first day we had concerns about it getting done in time and made the call to the office and was connected to Josh . He listened to all of my concerns and told me he is going to call the crew and get a gameplan so I wouldnt be in the dark . He stated it is important that all of his customers are informed about all aspects pertaining to the move. He called me back and outlined the plan on which rooms were left and how many packers will be coming out and how long they were planning on being there. The next day was exactly the same plan he outlined and he even called me to make sure all of my concerns were met. This is our 4th move and I think this was the first time I didnt just feel like a number but an actual customer.

After dealing with a lot of less than nice moving companies, Im glad I found Johnson/United Van Lines. They were very organized and had good people working with them every step of the way. Brandi, the estimator, was polite and did a great job estimating the cost. It was expensive, but Angie was constantly on the phone checking in with me. Both the packers at the source and destination did great work protecting the stuff and moving quickly.

2 Strong Crew. The packing crew was extremely helpful and professional. Accomplished a large pack out in 1 day. The entire crew was extremely proficient. I would recommend them in the future.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I requested a quote on Sunday. They told me someone would call me on Monday to schedule. I ended up calling them on Tuesday to schedule. I requested quotes from 2 different companies (Mayflower and United) and they schedule for both of them. Mayflower was set up to come out on Wednesday at 4. United was scheduled Thursday at 3. The person from Mayflower called on Wednesday and asked if another day would work better because he had appointments he had not let the scheduling company know about. Then the person from United called 30 minutes after she was supposed to meet me to say her last appointment ran over and asked if she could just do a quote over the phone. Never using this company again. Don’t even bother.

Two strong.They were on time they gave me a call before they came and was working since they came threw the door. They wrapped all my furniture so no damage would happen. If I had the chance would move with them again.

The Johnson Storage & Moving Co., along with the United Van Lines, did excellent job helping me moving from Kansas City to LA. I was very busy and did a last minute phone call to see if they can come to give me an estimate. Rodd Rogers came in two days later, gave me a through estimate, and later refund some money when I decided to use less of their packing materials. The moving coordinator Angie Ferreria is absolutely an angel! I have not moved for 15 years and had read lots of bad reviews about moving process, and a little nervous about the whole thing. Every time I called or emailed her, she almost instantly gave me an answer, or would always check with whomever responsible for the issues and got back with me within a few hours. The crew in Kansas City is also superior. The first truck assigned to me broke down on the way to my house, the driver communicated with me, and the field manager found another truck nearby so they were able to complete the loading the same day, the manager brought additional packing materials, the driver did excellent job inventory everything, and the packing/loading process was fast, but careful, and very professional. On the receiving end in LA, the driver Mike got up at 3 am, came to the street by my condo to get a good parking spot, I was totally surprised when I got outside at 7 am that the truck was already there (they called the day before and told me the deliver time would be from 8-9 am). The two movers also very nice, and professional. I had a very big office desk that I worried if it would be able to get into one of my room, the doorway was too narrow. They took down the door to get the desk in, and put the door back up. All of the furniture was dissembled and then put back together by the crew. I would highly recommend this company. I only have some small things missing, which Angie helped me to file claims, in order to retrieve them. Mike said he will make phone calls. I did received the pre-loading weight and after-loading weight.

Would give them a zero, cause that’s the way they treated us. Absolutely NO communication and we had a signed contract and a deposit. They left us high and dry and we needed to be out of our house the next day! They also did NO packing which was in the contract! Very stressful. Found a young man recommended by another company who has his own company as he is working his way through college. He made a really sorry situation so much better. I was scheduled to have Brandy come to my home today to give me an estimate to move the contents of my current home to my new home. It had originally been scheduled for 10:30 but a couple of days ago they requested it be moved up to 10AM. So at 10AM this morning Im waiting, at 10:15 Im waiting, at 10:30 Im still waiting. I call the local office and instead of saying that they would look right into it they gave me Brandys cell phone number. So I call her cell phone and get her answering service. I leave a message asking about my 10AM appointment and if shes running late or forgot me. I asked her to call me and let me know what the delay is. Now 6 1/2 hours later Ive not received a return phone call. Now I dont think I want a company that is this unresponsive to be responsible for my household possessions. Id advise anyone to go with another mover.

Never used a moving company before, so didn’t know what to expect. First of all, the lady who came to give us an estimate told us that we could come get free boxes if we wanted to pack anything ourselves. We called to get boxes, but could never get her to call us back until too late. Also underestimated how much we had to move. The movers had to call in an overflow truck (that won’t arrive for a few more weeks). She definitely used her salesperson pitch to sell us this company, then took that hat off once we signed the paperwork. Disappointed with packers as well. Scheduled for 2 days to pack, only stayed part of the first day. The movers were upset that more was not packed by the packers. Once moved and started unpacking, there was no rhyme or reason as to how they packed the kitchen. Jarred jellies in with bowls and drinking glasses, boxes mislabeled. A delicate wood carving with special meaning was packed under heavy items and broken. Very disappointed with Johnson’s moving and storage. Sad. Our movers were wonderful. Thank goodness for them.

I had a great experience from start to finish. Packers/Truck arrived on time and were professional and friendly. My belongings were delivered 3 days later 600 miles away and the service on that end was just as good! For my first professional move it was so easy and would use again!

Ive used United for 3 total house moves in the last 40 years and they have been consistently fantastic and accommodating everytime. United is the first one I call for long distant and local moves.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Completely didnt show up to deliver my household goods yesterday! Who does that with no phone call of an explanation? Now my family and I have to wait 6 more days. I just want my personal items back so my kids dont have to sleep on the floor. Ruthless communication with customers. Worthless government contract.

DO NOT USE!!! We were supposed to have three days to pack and one day to load. This was over two weeks ago. They kept saying people were on their way but we would find out hours later that they were doing another job and would be here after that. Nobody showed the first day, one the second, and two came for two hours on the third day. One guy showed up on our load day and spent 11:30-8:30 packing the rest of our items. We have missed 3 load dates and have had to change move-out days with housing multiple times. It has been over two weeks and all of our household good items are still not loaded. We were supposed to be on the road today heading halfway across the country to our new home. This company will lie, lie, lie. Today is my first time ever writing a review for anything and I have written 2 for this company. This is how bad this company is! Please avoid using if you possibly can!

This company is the definition of over promise and under deliver. Our moving experience was only made worse by using Mayflower, who contracted Johnson Moving and Storage.If you need a terrible moving experience, then hire them to take your $10,500 and leave your household items to sit in a trailer for 10 days.This company should be ashamed of themselves.

I would give a Zero if I could!!! This company is horrible believe all the reviews because there true. Our stuff was supposed to be delivered on 8/4/18 and today is 8/7/18 and we’re still getting the run around. They lie and state there on there way and you end up waiting all day with out even a phone call. The company we’re dealing with is out of Topeka Kansas. We have taken time off work to just set an wait. Not happy and just want our stuff.

Fast professional movers packed us up quick

Moving is typically a stressful experience, but this move was anything but. The crew was efficient, very careful, and friendly. I would highly recommend Johnson Moving & Storage.

We scheduled a date for an estimator to come to our house and do a walk through. The day came and went without a visit or phone call. We called to see what happened, thinking we possibly had the wrong date. We were told we lived too far away and they did not want to make the trip from Topeka (less than 90 miles) for an estimate. They wanted to know if we could do a video walk through instead. A few days later we did the video walk through. Since then 6 phone calls 3 voicemails left with Brandy and 1 call to corporate has netted me 0 return calls and no estimate. This may be a blessing in that if they are this careless with return calls and how they handle their business, how careless would they be handling my personal belongings?

First, if youre a military service member DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are incapable of delivering on their promised schedule, completely unprofessional, and are not responsive to customers. I have had four failed delivery dates, three failed delivery times, and not once did anyone from this Company call me about these delays. They should not be allowed to operate. I plan to report them to the BBB. Dont waste your time. Avoid this company at all costs.

Do not hire this company, I have experienced many permanent change of stations with the Army and by far this is the worse moving company, total unprofessional. I contracted this company to help me pack and load my household goods into a rental truck, scheduled for July 24, 2018. According to saved voice mails from Angie, all was set and ready for this move. On July 24, I called the company in Topeka Kansas and the Supervisor name Clark told me that his crew was at another job and that they will arrive later but no ETA was given. After many calls throughout the day Mr. Clark mention that he was looking to subcontract this job. I last spoke to this individual at 4.30 pm and told him that I had no plan B, that I needed to clear my house and get it ready for the new homeowner. Never heard from this individual again. Blessed by friends and a thight community I was able to load my truck by midnight. While I will seek legal advice at the Army base for breach of contract, I urge all my fellow Army Veterans to be aware of this company, I cannot believe they will do this to a human being, I hope this will lead for this company to be barred from doing business with the military.

From start to finish this move was made effortless on account of the professionalism displayed by all the members of the moving team. This included; the moving estimator, coordinator, driver and packers/movers. Should a need arise to move again Johnson Storage will have my business.

Pretty nice people but it was really hectic lol

I contacted Johnson Storage and Moving in the month of February of this year. I chose them from other movers because of their price and ability to move an entire house to Wichita Kansas. The issues started immediately when they wanted to constantly change the dates of the pack up and it ended on a day that I could not be there because my position started in Wichita on a specific day. The lights should have gone off at that time. They told me if I did a lot of the packing they would decrease the cost of the move. Wrong. They packed the house and moved all my belongings to Wichita. The movers got tired throughout the day and started putting everything in the basement work area - not paying attention to the room that was designated on the box. If you are choosing Johnson Storage and moving - turn around and choose another mover. They give you 30 days to put in a request for reimbursement for all the broken and damaged items. They broke glass table tops - I am still missing drills that were packed - still missing butcher blocks that have never been uncovered. The company they use to resolve disputes - the assoicate that is in charge of disputes - some young man - is a complete beligerant idiot. Again, if you are thinking of using Johnson - turn and run as fast as you can to another mover. You will be all the better for your decision. I also tried over 6 times to call the owner in Denver and never even received a call back. They do not value customer service as their phone greeting states - run run run the opposite direction. Price was outrageous for a three bedroom local move and packing assistance it was 7000$.

I dont believe anything these guys say. They stood me up twice and only showed up on the third occasion because I filed a complaint with the transportation office.I wasted two whole days and potentially a third because they didnt show up on the days or times they had said they would. Then when I called to have them come and pick up my debris they said (once again) that theyd be there on a particular day and they never showed up.I could go on and on but these guys do terrible business. If you can please find someone else as your moving company and save yourself the frustration!

They took apart our reclining sofa. Now it all loose and wobbles. Damaged some items. Didnt want to check off things to be sure we got all our possessions Had to insist to get grudging agreement

Gross negligence! Severely underestimated the amount of our household goods (4000 pounds under) did not order enough boxes for our move. Sent a truck that did not have enough space for our belongings. Damaged furniture before it left the first house. Never again accept this as your moving company!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Boxes that were clearly marked FRAGILE had things broken in them. Missing boxes, one that had my infant daughters meds in it AND paperwork. Not to mention the movers offered to move the rest of my things off the books for an extra 100.00 they THEY WOULD KEEP! Next time I move this company will NOT be called!

This is a great moving company I have worked there for over 6yr have had no trouble crew is paid % of the job and if they take long time to finish the job it is only cutting into there pay/time Most of our work is done out of town so if you take 3 days to do 1 day job you got to think you have 6-9 hr drive time that is not needed if finish the job in 1 day

My experience was packers who bring weapons to your house and movers who break your stuff. Id rather move my stuff 700 miles, one carload at a time, over using them again
