Everything went exactly as planned. Every little thing I asked for they did. Thanks for the Frontier!
Leo was incredibly kind and helpful when buying my car. He listened to my needs and helped get me into a vehicle that met them perfectly and is within my price range. He was more focused on making sure I got what I needed than pushing me to make a sale which was SO appreciated. Leo was even helpful after the sale to make sure everything was still going well. I can’t imagine buying a car from anyone else!
We knew exactly what we wanted and Leo found it very quickly! It was a very pleasant experience. We love our new car!
A simple oil change and tire rotation. Everything seems very coordinated. Friendly, helpful service people.
Heather Fitzgerald acted as our single point of contact for repair on our Nissan Pathfinder. EXCELLENT service was provided from breakdown to pickup. Heather goes above and beyond the normal, with kindness and professionalism. Communication skills are superior.
Excellent, quick service. The technicians found other safety issues and fixed them as well. Very grateful to a great staff. These issues came up while I was on vacation so stress could have taken over. Thanks to the staff, all was good!
Heather is outstanding! She is helpful, kind, professional, consults the technicians, and offers suggestions and advice regarding car repair options. She is easy to deal with and I so appreciate that she returns phone calls and text messages in a very timely manner. I will be tack to TC Serra Nissan when my car needs servicing and when I need a new vehicle.
Regular maintenance. Performed while I waited. Took reasonable amount of time.
Heather. You are amazing. I called Serra when I got home that day and told them I would like to make a great comment on you. They said they would but if not you show this to them because in this crazy rude world you have been a pleasure to work with. They don’t know what they have in you. Keep being Heather. You’ll go far. Thank you.
Heather did an outstanding job representing Serra during my visit for maintenance this week. She was on lunch break when I arrived, but she contacted me immediately when she returned and kept me updated throughout the visit. She also did an outstanding job of explaining my prepaid maintenance program and assisting in planning for future service visits. This is exactly the kind of service I look for when choosing a dealer for my next new car.
All staffs are professional and helpful. David is awesome:)
We just bought a new truck at Serra Nissan. Our sales guy, Leo, was fantastic to work with. His knowledge and patience going through the buying process was the best I have ever experienced!
Working with John & Serra was easy & professional! The process was quick & John took care of everything. I would definitely go back to Serra Nissan for my next vehicle (if I ever trade my new 4Runner in!) and ask to work with John again! Overall great experience.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Heather Fitzgerald when I brought my truck in for an oil change and maintenance. She was forthcoming about what I should expect and very understanding and helpful with my questions.Heather made my visit quite pleasant.
I’m very particular about my vehicle and Heather provided conscientious, friendly and professional service throughout my visit.
The wait time was less than expected. My rep Heather was helpful and informative.
I really appreciate how well John Brorby worked with us in finding the car I was looking for. Very friendly and knowledgable, and not a pushy salesman. I would definitely do business with him again.
Heather Fitzgerald is fantastic! She was courteous and professional throughout the exchange. She was very respectful of the 6 foot social distancing and wearing masks both inside and outside. Heather is also an excellent communicator who provided consistent information and support. She is an amazing employee and deserves a raise! It is people like Heather who make the experience of getting our cars fixed enjoyable!
Leased a new 2021 Nissan Rogue and worked with Leo Cherup. What a great car buyiong experience. He made a stressful decision much easier because he listened to what I wanted and had the perfect car. Look him up when you are considering a new vehicle.
Hard to get ahold of parts they never answer, I guess they dont need or want you money.
In short, Leo was amazing and made the process of shopping for just the right vehicle pressure-free and fun. He was extremely thorough and provided several options for me to consider. When taking possession of the car, Leo took the time to review ALL of the cars features with me so I felt totally functional when I pulled out of the dealership. I will, without hesitation, recommend Leo and Serra Nissan. to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle.
Heather made it the best. Thank you Heather you were more than accommodating with my service. Serra should honored to have you as a representative and employee!
Over 3 hours to do a standard service that I scheduled online. What do you think?
I’ve never had someone go over a vehicle bumper to bumper, inside and out! Plus it’s nice to know that Leo is just a phone call away if I have a question. Delivery with a genuine SMILE!!
Eric was very helpful through the buying process and we would definitely recommend him to others. He was very busy but took the time to walk us through the process thoroughly.
If it wouldn’t have been for Heather’s unquestionable superior level of overall performance, as a service representative, my rating for the experience with Serra Nissan would have been zero! Her knowledge, skills and ambitions are better served somewhere else. It’s very clear that the dealership is in the business of selling cars and not servicing them. While the dealership may be able to maintain new vehicles efficiently, their technical abilities fall short when diagnosing and servicing the complicated electrical issue, I came in for, even with Heathers succinct and effective communication skills.
During my recent service at Serra Nissan, I had the pleasure of being helped by Heather Fitzgerald. I found her communication to be professional and prompt. She was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend Heather to others.
Heather Fitzgerald was wonderful! I couldnt get the emergency rear brake turned off (at first I didnt know that was what needed to be done). She attempted to help me, by walking me through the steps without being able to see my panel. When I couldnt get it to stop, she then contacted another person to get information from them. I finally drove over there and she walked me through what needed to be done. She was very patient with me and I asked another question and she took care of that one right away as well.Excellent employee who truly knows the meaning of customer service. Pleasure to work with her. Thank you.
Leo helped us find the right SUV without being a pushy salesman. I would highly recommend asking for Leo the next time you are looking for a vehicle.
I always have a great experience at Serra. All employees are very friendly, warm and gracious. I went in for an oil change and Heather was no exception. What a nice person!
Had a small budget and Eric H was able to get me exactly what I needed. He treated me like I was a customer with an unlimited budget. Respectful and showed class. I would recommend him for sure.
Heather was great. She was doing double duty that day. Along with doing her normal job, she was being the car runner, to & from the garage. When she brought someone elses car in after repairs, she immediately came over to my truck and asked me what services I needed done, before entering the building. Within 3 minutes, paperwork was done and my truck was headed to get the oil changed. I was at this location on Wednesday, 7/29/20, sat in my truck for five minutes and no one from the customer service team came out to assist me, so I drove away. So this time, I was glad that Heather was so attentive and professional. In the past at this facility, I have had my oil changed twice and both times, they have tried to charge me for synthetic oil both times. I never requested Synthetic oil. Also, it has taken over an hour each time to get my oil changed. The only reason I keep bringing it back, is because the truck is under warranty, and people like Heather. Please give her a thank you, for the special attention and not treating me like just another number
David is great. Wasnt pushy and gave me time to make a decision. Smooth transaction on my new used car purchase. 🚗
I bought a 06 Subaru Tribeca in early July for around $6200. They told me everything was fine and my dad (who knows cars very well) said everything looked fine also. Turns out the car was burning oil faster than a horse at a race. So, I got it fixed and paid around $3700 for it. Now, all my lights are going off again and I have no idea what’s wrong with it now. I would not recommend buying a car from here unless it’s brand new, never been touched before. I definitely will not be buying a car from here again. :)
Made an appointment a month before my leased vehicle needed the required service and recall maintenance. Showed up 15 minuutes prior to my appointment, waited two hours only to have the customer service girl tell me they were only able to complete the oil change. The recall maintenance would take another hour and half. This was the second time I have had to leave after my oil change to not have the recall completed due to the length of time I had to wait. I live 45 minutes away and have never experienced such long wait times in a service department. I will be considering that when my lease is up to make the decision to stay with Serra.
Great customer service and timely feedback. I was kept informed of the status of my service and they were very competitive with other mechanics. The service industry in TC is 50/50 but Heather does a great job.
Very good customer service, my only issue with the dealership, which has nothing to do with Heather, was being charged for 2 days of car rental when I picked the rental up between 3:00 and 3:30 on Tuesday and returned it the same time on Wednesday.
Great customer service. They made my first car buying experience amazing. I would make the 450 mile trip to buy here again.
Very professional very friendly and helpful were very pleased with the 2018 Nissan titan we just purchased! Hands down the best auto buying experience Ive ever had! I highly recommend checking out their multiple lots in TC you will not be disappointed!
I took my used vehicle in for a problem with the windshield wiper solvent pump, they not only found the issue and fixed it but also fixed 2 recalls the truck had that the previous dealer had not taken care of prior to my purchase! I was pleasantly surprised!
When brought my Nissan Pathfinder to have drivers window motor replaced, I thought the work was being done while I waited. Instead I waited a few hours to be told diagnostic testing was done to determine it was a window motor that needed replacement and I would be charged the diagnostic test in addition to the motor replacement which I have to return to have done. I live 90 miles away. I feel the diagnostic test should be waived and not be in addition to the replacement charge. But, oh well I guess I should have asked first.
I had a great experience, our sales guy was Angel Borja and he gave us a great deal. The finance manager, Mortimer Virves was great too.
Brought our family vehicle here, where they self authorized unnecessary work and then attempted to charge us for it. We will never bring another vehicle nor recommend anyone to use this location. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on gas going to a more trustworthy mechanic than handing it over to them for doing absolutely nothing over a extended period of time (weeks to do simple repairs such as axel alignment and tire rotation).
Every time I take my car here they are very helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about what needs to be done and experience in thier service. Dont mind me asking questions about the service. Lets me know about how long it will take and there is a very nice waiting area. Thank you
To start with my car has always used 5 quarts of oil. The owners manual says4.75 quarts with a new filter. The oil change includes 5 quarts of oil but theycharged me extra for a sixth quart. I have never needed extra before. They advertise a complete inspection and with previous Nissan dealershipowner they provided a sheet that showed what was checked, needed filling, tire pressure and what service will be or should be done. Very complete. On the way home from the dealership my low tire light comes on so I stopat a gas station and find one tire is 10 pounds low.I guess the complete inspection does not include tire pressure.I just checked the washer fluid and it is way down. They did not fill it.This makes me wonder if they did anything more than overcharge me.I bought cars and had service done by TC Nissan since 1983,now I will look for a better dealership.
Excellent young man who makes you feel very comfortable with him. Being a female buyer I have found most Male salesmen tend to be dismissive of me cause Im female in which they dont know I know a lot about vehicles well Eric didnt treat me that way, he treated me as an equal. He was eager to answer the littlest of questions as well, patient and wasnt remotely pushy at all. He is good at what he does.
I dropped my Rouge off last week to get some work done and a Fresh oil change .Today I dropped it off to potentially add a bike rack .I have been so happy working with your whole team! They have all been so accommodating, friendly and fun !!I definitely would highly recommend Serra!!!!I’ve experienced great customer service and will definitely be buying my future cars from Serra .
Very good communication between the service team and customer.
I appreciated the service provided by Heather at Serra NISSAN. When I arrived it was obvious that I was expected and they were ready for me. The service to be done was verified before starting as well any other concerns I might have. I waited for my vehicle rather than go home. During that time I was apprised of the progress a few times as well as updated concerning completion time, which was ahead of schedule.I was completely aware of all that was being done concerning my service which allowed me to better appreciate the quality of concern that my vehicle was properly taken care of as well as my being a satisfied customer. I have both my vehicles taken care of at Serra, and quite literally nowhere else. Heather is new to Serra and has already proven to be more than capable to manage any problems or concerns. She is a very good problem solver, which realistically is why you take your vehicle for repair and maintenance.
John was extremely helpful and made the process painless and seamless. Will definitely do business there again!
Availability to get car in great, time to service and customer service and communication good. Prices seemed what we expected. Still wish the car inside could get a wipe down but a coupon for car was next door is a great option.
This was our first time at this dealership. They were friendly and helpful. I think what we enjoyed the most was the free shuttle they gave us to downtown Traverse City while our car was being serviced. We did not have to sit in the waiting area but instead got to walk old town and visit the shops. We had a nice lunch. The shuttle picked us up when the car was done. Thank you for making a normal boring chore so much fun!
Bryan Snyder was extremely knowledgeable and was willing to put in the extra effort to help me out. I let him know what needed to happen in order to make a deal and he put in the work to make it happen! Great experience!
I thought the service was excellent. The staff worked hard to get us in and out on our way in a very timely manor. Distance is the only reason that I probably will not purchase.
Leo Cherup did a great job helping us lease our new Nissan. Would highly recommend!
While I had some issues with my extended warranty not being connected to my VIN number ( from the dealership in PA) Bob at Serra offered to help me resolve the issue to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, I had already driven from Charlevoix to Traverse City for the work to be done on my Rogue when he found out that my warranty was not listed in the system. I am pleased that we are working on a mutually agreeable solution.
This review is long but I beg you to read it.My fun with Serra began in mid-July when I had an appointment for a simple full synthetic oil change and an alignment. I attempted to reach the service desk MANY times because I wanted to have them add in a spark plug change to my already scheduled appointment. I left numerous voicemails but did not get a call back until I left a review here complaining about their lack of customer service. If only my fun stopped there. After being told it would cost $350 for spark plugs, o decided to only have them perform the synthetic oil change and alignment.I brought my Nissan 350z in about 20 minutes early for my appointment 11am, and was told the staff would be taking a lunch break at noon. Considering the fact that I live over an hour away from the dealership, I figured I would stay and wait for my car to be finished. Figured they would be able to get started on or even finish at least the oil change before lunch, then take an hour to do the alignment and I would be out the door by 2. After nearly 5 hours of waiting, I was told my car is finished but the tech “had issues with the alignment, but it wouldn’t effect drivability”. As soon as I drive my car out of the dealership, the car won’t drive straight unless I turn the wheel 20 degrees to the left. Even better, I check the oil service sticker on my windshield and realize they put the wrong type of oil in my car. Immediately I call my service advisor and tell her I will drop the car off the next day for them to fix both issues.I bring the car back to them around 10am for what should have been a 3 hour fix maximum. Never get a call back. I call the next morning and ask if my car is ready, to which I am told “It is almost done, we’ll call you once it’s finished.” Not even 10 minutes later, I get a call back saying the work has been done, but a technician left my 350z outside with the top down, and of course it thunderstormed all night long. I ask how much water and was told about 1 inch, but the steering wheel is ruined, but I shouldn’t worry because they were already looking for a replacement wheel.2 weeks go by and only after emailing Joe Serra himself, I get another call saying “everything is finished. Your car is ready to be picked up”. I ask them if all issues were addressed, as I live over an hour away each direction and was told they were. I drive all the way back to the dealership expecting to get my car and as soon as I am handed the keys, the service manager tells me they didn’t fix the steering wheel because the one he ordered from a JUNK YARD was in worse condition than the one they had already ruined. You don’t say? He tells me if I can find a replacement for “a couple hundred bucks” they will reimburse me. New steering wheels are $1200 online. I ask the service manager how much water was in my car, and he makes a hand gesture implying about 3-4 inches. I take my keys and guess what, the alignment hasn’t even been touched! I tell the service manager who claims to have drove the car and it’s definitely good. I tell him drive it again with me in the passenger seat. He quickly agrees the alignment still is not correct, and after I explained to him I previously had the car aligned at Firestone where they did an outstanding job with it, he said “Firestone does alignments all day. They will be better than a dealership.”I was told they would cover future water damage anywhere from 6 months to a lifetime and when it was time to get it in writing, they went back on their word and said they could honor it for 30 days. I was then told to “keep in mind, we’re dealing with a 2004 car here”. Took another email to Joe Serra to get them to agree to 1 year. Waited 2 weeks for the new steering wheel that never arrived, and since I wanted nothing more than to be done with them I told them I wanted a check and will take my business elsewhere.TL:DR My car was given the wrong oil, a horrible “alignment”, left outside top down in a storm, I was lied to, and they wouldn’t take me seriously until I got the president involved.
They provided great service to us 2 weeks after we bought a car from them. Very good customer service!
Lenny from sales and Matt from service always take care of me on my Toyotas, Matt also used to take care of my BMW before Serra. Heather did a great job taking care of my Titan XD. Everyone was very COVID safe, and Heather kept me informed. The tech fixed everything on my truck to a T.PS. Can you please ask Toyota or Nissan to make a duelly and slap a Cummins in it so I can buy one from Lenny to pull my horse trailers? :)Thanks, Thomas
Bought my first car here (as-is, used) I had a great experience working with darek. He was helpful and in no way did I feel any pressure to buy. Thank you, Serra!
Eric made the car buying experience a no pressure, enjoyable process. The whole Serra sales team were a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend Serra for your new car needs.
Efficient service check in and check out. Nice waiting area. Free Wi Fi.
Very good. Heather explained everything in detail, gave me options and a very fair price. Thank you!
Awesome experience, they worked really hard to get me into the car I wanted.. ask for Shawn Leach!
I call 3 times to dealer to check car is still available, come from Chicago, then dealer told me we sold car . Be careful, you can waste all day
I recently took my Nissan Murano in to Serra Nissan and was very impressed with the service. Bob Hampton, was great to work with I was in and out in no time even with all the construction going on.Thanks Bob,Greg
While on vacation warning lights from dashboard were evaluated. I arrived at 7:30 am, they fit me in for diagnosis and replaced the alternator by 11:30. They were very courteous and most helpful offering a shuttle to take me to my hotel for check out. Can not say enough about how they kept our tight travel arrangements on schedule.
As always great service from a great person. See you for our next Car John
Bob was fantastic in helping diagnose and resolve an issue with my Pathfinder. I highly recommend him!
My lease is set to expire in August. I was shopping for a new Nissan Rogue to lease. I was told that there was a vehicle matching my requirements. After driving one similar on the Serra lot, I sat down to discuss the one at another dealer that I was interested in. After discussion, I asked if I could get the car for x amount. He asked if I was ready to sign that day. Eventually he gave me the lease price that they could do. I told him I would be back in touch. Jump ahead a week, I’m informed that the salesperson was quoting the wrong vehicle. I do not believe that to be the case, however, mistakes can happen and I was ok with that. Then, the salesperson calls me saying that I was mistaken, not him. He said I was looking for a deal that was too good and basically it was my fault! That, I took offense to! Needless to say I will no longer be dealing with Serra Nissan in Traverse City. My advice would be to get everything in writing prior to leaving the Serra lot! I gave them 2 stars, because I leased my present car from there when it was Traverse City Nissan, and had a great experience
Worst treatment ever. Asked about a Subaru and they lost the key so he brings up a jeep without heat no good so then he tries to sell me a Cadillac. Dont but used cars from this dealership.
You guys are great. Thank you for working with me and doing such an amazing job.
Such welcoming and personable were all the sales associates at this location! Eric, Kelly, Derek, & Nathan! Thanks Guys!
I brought my Nissan Pathfinder in for a relative minor repair...a broken interior door handle on the passenger side. I left to attend a meeting.During inspection of my vehicle, three more much more complex and costly issues were discovered. While in my meeting, the service manager sent via e-mail an estimate for repair costs on all now four maintenance issues. During a break in my meeting, I briefly looked at the e-mailed estimate which appeared reasonable so I called and authorized the repair work. When I came to pick up my vehicle, I was surprised to find that the cost was significantly higher than that quoted in the estimate which I authorized. Come to find out, the estimate was for labor only. The estimate figure was not labeled as such so it led me to believe the figure I authorized was total cost. VERY misleading. Probably wont have service done here again.
Initially, my experience trying to buy a used vehicle was a good one. The salesman was friendly and informative and I would have been very happy to buy a car from him. The car I was looking at was an advertised 2007 Volvo xc70 with minor (but not stated on the web listing) exterior/interior damage with around 100,000 miles. Car drove great but after the second time around the block the smell of antifreeze/coolant was thick in the car. I checked under the hood to find the coolant reservoir completely empty. Upon inquire of why, the vehicle was pulled into their service station where a young technician topped off the coolant but was unable to provide any theories to where the coolant had gone. To make sure that the engine was indeed sound and void of leaks, it was agreed that a pressure test would be conducted and results woulds be ready in only a few days. The weekend passed and I received a call from the dealership, saying that the test revealed no leaks and the car was fine. I settled on a price over the phone and agreed to pick up the car the following day. That day the car was driven around the block again only to have the same exact problems arise. No coolant/smell of coolant in the cabin. Now working full time and going to school makes my time very scarce and valuable. This was my second hour drive to the dealership with money in hand and despite my seriousness to purchase this car I was not met with the same attitude to sell it. I understand that I was purchasing a used vehicle but you tried to sell me something that wouldnt have made the trip back to my own home. My business may be trivial, being that I am not rolling a brand new vehicle off your lot but Serra my experience is something that myself and my family cannot ignore.-Caleb
My wife and I visited the Subaru store to test drive a Forester. The representative informed us we needed an appointment and he could not help us. We drove to the Nissan store expecting to just window shop. Jeff met us in the lot, informed us he would go get the Forester to test drive as well as a Nissan. Jeff hustled and earned our business.
Great deal great service
Eric is a very pleasant young man who’s very helpful and knowledgeable.
Pretty good love the car I bought nice people will recommend to friends appreciate it
I never expected to have to return more than once for a wheel alignment nor to have your tech break my hubcaps and act as if nothing happened. I thank the service manager for her assistance and for making it right, though.I am also not happy about you giving my information to third parties. That should only be used for direct contact between myself and your dealership. People like you are why we have to deal with daily spam calls and emails.
While visiting the area with a few friends from across the state for Memorial day, one of my friends lost our transponder key in a kayaking incident.Tuesday morning rolled around, and we were dismayed to initially hear that they didnt have any keys that they could cut for us, and wouldnt until Wednesday. As wed already been forced to take an unplanned extra day off of work and couldnt afford to miss another, we were panicking. The next nearest Nissan dealership was over 100 miles away, and we had no good way to get there, much less with our car. However, the man helping us made a few calls and managed to scrounge up a key, which got us on the road back towards home. Thanks to him, we werent stranded for another day.
Great WiFi and an EV charger! They also provide water, coffee and snacks while you wait for you vehicle to be serviced. Ask them about Nissan Leafs.
My overall experience was wonderful.Shelia was very accommodating, patient and I felt she really wanted to find the right car for me.
Worst service I have EVER received from any dealership! Save your money and look elsewhere! Kept my car for over 2 weeks, never communicated or answered the phone. Finally ordered the part after we called everyday. After all that time, they didnt even bother to run a vacuum through it, gave it back filthy. To top it off, I now have a huge scratch down to the plastic on my front bumper that happened in the period of time it was there.
Whitni Reid was very helpful when I purchased my Nissan Frontier.
If you need Nissan service, Bob at Serra Nissan did me a very good job.
Bought my Jetta there yesterday, there employees were very friendly, they get back with you as soon as they can, eager to let you test drive.. but just discovered my front passenger tire has dry rott this morning and now there not so eager to respond. Ill probably still buy my next car there though
Worst dealership in northern Michigan. I drove over three hours to get work done on my truck that was under warranty, only for them to lie and say that it wasnt covered. Now I am going to have to take it too grand rapids
Heather is very professional but friendly also. Have her steer your vehicle through its service.
Not truthful on problems with cars. Start your car cold when there. Keep it running long enough for check engine light to pop on. They will reset so its not on till after purchase on the way home.
Your Nissan service manager Scott has a poor work ethic, does not follow through with return calls or warranty call backs, and is upset and cusses & swears at customers when they get upset with him not returning calls or follow ups. I will never buy another Nissan again let alone aToyota, Volvo or Audi in the future strictly because the service at this Serra dealership in Traverse City and having to bring it back here for service.
Everything was awesome great service and stress free day thank you
Awesome place
Great job and delivered as promised
Nice selection of used cars
Always fair and friendly
Scott, the Service manager was not customer friendly. He almost seemed like he was upset with me, the customer. He also was not very user friendly either. He rarely returned calls from messages I had left and I had to call again later in the day or the next day to speak with him directly. Poor customer service.
Bob was professional, accommodating and very friendly!
