Stopped in 2 weekends in a row. Its THAT good! Im addicted to the omelet with the chili sauce. Wish they offered another side like a potato or fruit instead of a salad but def my new favorite spot. Our waitress Emma was amazing. Conner in the kitchen brought out my eggs...FAB! Met the owners who are lovely. Its rare you see owners who are hands on...serving food and greeting tables. You guys rock! Great food and great service! Thank you

It was a good meal and the server was phenomenal. It lost a point as my potato au gratin could have been cooked a little more, so maybe a 4.4 rating would be more appropriate

Met a good friend here. We both ordered the mushroom asparagus soup and healthy blue cheese salad. They were delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a chat while enjoying a glass of wine. If I lived in the area, I would meet friends here frequently. Staff were friendly but not disruptive. 100% positive experience!

Wonderful server loves to talk about all the food with detailed descriptions. Very unique with delicious food and amazing Key Lime pie. Highly recomend!

Charming little place with lots of well-spaced, canine-friendly outside seating. When I called to inquire, hostess was just lovely and helpful on the phone, so ended up choosing this place. (I dont know the town at all.) Mushroom asparagus soup was delicious! It was a lovely night to sit outside, and the place next door had live Irish music outside! Prices incredibly reasonable.Definitely recommend.

The food is always delicious!! Service was great as well. We have been ordering take out from there for quite some time but this was our first dine in experience. It is becoming my favorite Alton restaurant!

Stopped in today however found that there was a large private party. Staff was quite friendly and we simply explained we would come back another time. We heard nothing but good about this place. Looking forward to our next trip.

There are no printed menus, but my wife had her phone with her. We shared the online menu so we could order.My quiche was fine. My wife got the asparagus/mushroom soup. Unfortunately the asparagus tasted canned to her. She picked it out and set it aside.Our server noticed, and asked what was wrong. My wife explained that the asparagus tasted canned to her. She did not ask to see the manager or to receive a discount. She was just setting the asparagus aside. This was apparently unacceptable.The hostess came out to argue, and stated that the asparagus was definitely not canned, that the kitchen had surely cut it just that morning. My wife stated that to her the asparagus tasted canned. The hostess does not understand that both these things can be true at the same time.We did not ask for this tirade about the asparagus. After the hostess made my wife cry, we paid our bill and left a 30% tip. The server is not at fault in this.

Beautiful decor, lovely little quaint patio perfect for drinks, very knowledgeable staff on food & drink menus, attentive waiters and uniquely prepared, delicious food. Slightly pricey but worth it. Looking forward to cooler weather to enjoy a nice wine by the firepit on the patio.

Today was our first visit and it was great . Our waiter was a nice young gentleman who met us outside the front door and escorted us to the back patio. The food was good and so was the wine. The waiter was attentive and polite.

We had a private birthday party on Sunday for 55 friends. Terri and Bo treated us like family. The atmosphere could not have be nicer. The good weather even allowed us to enjoy the outdoor garden with the fire feature. The food was great, the service impeccable, and the venue could not have been better. So disappointed. First the good: VERY friendly service team members. The owner was also very nice. Drinks were very good. BUT the food was very disappointing. Very. Toasted ravs tasted burned. The chicken was very dry. The steak had a weird flavor and texture. $100 later left disappointed and hungry. 😒

Fantastic dinner! The staff is so friendly and Mel did an amazing job describing Chefs dinner menu - our mouths were watering before we ordered. Chef PK did not disappoint! Very creative, local, and tasty entrees. Must try! Too hard to describe with words! Save room for dessert - homemade carrot cake with shaved candied carrots on top!

We held our son and daughter in laws rehearsal dinner at State Street Market on Sept 19th. What a perfect evening. The food was delicious and the staff absolutely wonderful. If you are looking for a beautiful place to host a small, under 40, gathering, this is the perfect place. Thank you State St Market for helping us make amazing wedding weekend memories.

Great service! Great dinner. All of downtown Alton was busy and we were a little embarrassed to come in bc we had just finished a workout and we had our non dressed up clothes on. The owner was so kind to us and didnt care that we werent more presentableShe went out of her way to get us dinner and we had a great experience! We will definitely be coming back!

One of my favorite places to eat around Alton. Sunny atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff. Food wise, everything is bright and fresh and theres something for everyone (including vegetarians and vegans). Drink menu is quite expansive (wine, mimosas, cocktails). Lovely place, check it out!

We had a group of 6 for my birthday come here a few weekends ago. We all drove in from the city, and it was well worth the hoof. The food was absolutely phenomenal, we started with a Charcuterie board and had the steaks. Ended our meal with a nice creme brulee! Their wine selection is very vast and our server, Melanie was very informative and wonderful and really made our experience great. We will be back!

I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday it is adorable inside and my food came out quickly! The mushroom asparagus soup was amazing, it has tons of mushrooms and asparagus in it! I also had the veggie sandwich which was also very delicious!! Great service, very well decorated, lots of vegetarian options, I will be making a trip back!!! Would be perfect for bridal showers etc...

Terrier and Beau are fantastic. Not only do they serve a great lunch crowd but they helped us pull off a beautiful and delicious bridal shower. I would recommend this place to everyone!

My friend took me there for my birthday. It was very homey and the food was great. I had the chicken panini and chips. The sandwich was hot and fresh and the chips were home made; very crispy and not greasy. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely go there again. I like to support the locally owned businesses as much as possible.

The owners can’t update their hours on the site without deleting the entire page and losing years of reviews. Closed Sun-Mon. Open Tues-Thurs 11a-9p. Open Fri 11a-10pm. Open Saturday for brunch as well, so they open at 10:30am-10pm.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Alton, and my go-to place when I want light, healthy fare. Their harvest salad is to die-for, with chickpeas, feta, & bacon, yumm! The service couldnt be any nicer, and the couple who owns it are so sweet. Their back patio is a beautiful space to relax, and listen to the live music they have twice a week.

Wonderful atmosphere, great good and very friendly/warm hosts. Large selection of wines to try. Really enjoyed trying a new wine and ended up purchasing 4 bottles of it!

Met an old friend here for lunch while road tripping around the country, and wow! Service was quick, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The feel was more than cozy as the owner, Terry, made my whole group feel at home. Their BLTA was robust and complimented their salad very well. We finished off with two crepes: blueberry lemon and a banana foster. Both were to die for. If you happen to be in town, please stop! I purchased a bottle of wine on the way out; their prices cant be beat!
