After hearing such good things about Eyemart Express I decided to check it out. Let me tell you, it was not to disappoint! I was greeted by a bubbly, bright young lady named Hope as I walked through the door @ the Traverse City location. I explained how I had a script and I was just shopping for frames and lenses today. She stated that was totally fine and gave me a walk through of all my options INCLUDING prices! She was readily available through my whole visit. Assisting in finding the PERFECT frames and some cute colored lenses for my discounted 2nd pair (that I turned into sunglasses)! The whole time Hope managed to help me find the frames I loved in a price that fit my budget. Then to top it all off they were ready within 1 HOUR!HOPE DESERVES A RAISE ! —— She was honestly excellent and I will definitely be returning in the future thanks to her outstanding kindness and helpfulness!!

My prescription was a little different than most and took a Little extra time and attention. EYE MART was so professional and caring and addressing each of my issues with my eyes. Great place to get great glasses for a good price. I also appreciate that the eye doctor is connected to the business. The quoted price for the exam was what they charged me. No hidden fees. Also Doctor Marc and his assistants do a great job at helping you feel at ease. I was also grateful for Hope. She helped me get my glasses immediately after my appointment. He is a caring and knowledgeable Dr. He watch my eye macula on a regular basis and when it blew a hole I was seen right away and he sent me to ARC in Traverse. Hope is amazing! Whatever you are paying her, double it. This woman was knowledgeable of all the products, amazing to help you pick out frames and figure out your style, and fast to get you checked out. She was answering phones and taking care of people, answering questions in the store and over the phone. Superwoman! She is the reason I’ll be back.

Everyone there was extremely helpful and down the earth. They were very honest with me about pricing and what would actually work for me instead of trying to push the more expensive things. I’ve had eye insurance before, but my last visit (which was my first) I unfortunately didn’t. It was sooo much cheaper than the last place I went to when I did have insurance! They always have great deals going on so I was able to get a second pair for only $20 more. The best thing? Both glasses were made in store!!! They said to give them an hour but they were both done within 30 minutes. This was extremely helpful to me because the pair I was wearing before that was super glued together. I cannot see anything with my glasses so I was very desperate to get a new pair. 10/10 would recommend.

The customer service for Eyemart was wonderful. After I got my exam I went and was looking at frames. While I was looking left me to do my thing and just checked on me. They werent pushy and trying to sale expensive frames even though my insurance allowed for $200. I was waiting for my husband to get there to help. Finallly picked a pair and was checking out and never tried to push for me to get extra stuff that I didnt need. I enjoy getting my glasses within the hour. Good job Traverse City office! Marc Austhof is a great optometrist and serves the Traverse city area greatly! He is very professional and personable, he has the latest and greatest technology and his equipment is updated regularly. He is very thorough and mapped my eye with pictures and compared them to those he took in the past. His office staff is very helpful and professional and they help work with insurance companies well. Got an appointment the very next day, the staff was friendly and informative. The doctor was very pleasant and the visit was short. Hardly any waiting time. I really like that they always give me contacts to try out before I am committed to buying to make sure that I like them and they work correctly for me. It is also really nice that once I order my contacts, they are shipped directly to me so I dont have to make another trip into town to pick them up. Traverse City, MI EYEMART is wonderful! My husband & I are out of staters who spend about 6 months a year at a family cottage in northern MI. We didn’t know from Eyemart, and our drive there was an hour and a half, we found a gem of a medical office, both facility & personnel. We found Eyemart through TV ads & scheduled appointments for eye exams & purchasing glasses. Optometrist, Dr. Marc Hostoff is an optometrist who takes time with his patients. Without previous records, he explained the exam results and suggested future needs for our eyes. Dr. Marc answered all our questions & did not rush us one bit-amazing. He is informative, knowledgeable, & his compassion for us and his passion for his work was evident! Hope, female technician, helped us find glasses. Also informative & accommodating, Hope helped us with lenses & prescription needs. She made us feel as if we were the only customers in the office. My husband left with his glasses, promotional sale purchase in stock. When we returned for my glasses & another eye test for my husband, wefound staff members to be welcoming. I love my framesWell my appointment was at 4:20 they closed at five I felt very rushed at first but they told me not to. Everyone left but lady that was taking care of me and manager. So I couldn’t get them that day and I live over an hour away Cadillac. So that’s ok I’ll come back. That was Thursday. Couldn’t come on Friday so came Monday morning picked them up and both pairs were blurry. I wore them over to Walmart to give them a chance well still blurry I could see better without them. Wrong prescription 😞 well couldn’t fit me in unless I waited four hours, couldn’t do that so made appointment for next day at 1:50. Went back home another hour or more wasted and gas is high right now. $20. For round trip tomorrow will be third trip, it’s a least an hour each way. I understand stuff like this happens but think I should be compensated for two trips with a Gas card. They need to not book appointments so close so when this happens they can take care of someone like me. Everyone was very nice I don’t have problem with that. I just want my prescription corrected. Thank you

The entire team here has always been very good to me. Theyve been very helpful when finding frames and making sure they fit properly, making adjustments to them when needed. They atmosphere is friendly and the employees all seem to love what they do. Praju helped me out the last time was in and I cant say a bad word about her customer service. She helped me pick out a new pair of prescription sunglasses, and I ended up getting a new pair of regular glasses as well. Always a pleasure working with them.

For the most part it was a good experience. I did feel a bit rushed through the exam, feeling pressured to answer quickly but the doctor was kind and personable. A tad expensive as well but I also opted for the more expensive option instead of the traditional dye. Not terrible for a first time visit.

I had an appointment on 2/11/21 and I had the best experience Ive ever had with an eye doctor. He was kind and actually listened to the problems I was having. The Dr. Went above any service Ive had at the eye Doctor. The frames are very reasonable and so was the exam. The most reasonable place Ive ever been for glasses. I got two glasses and frames for $182. I will be going back.

I got in right on time. They have a really nice waiting area with fun info cards on the wall to keep you busy and entertained while you wait. It was a very quick eye exam. Everyone was really nice and it was a great experience. I would deffinalty recommend them to everyone.

Really exceptional service and good prices. Highly recommend. Many other places we shopped had covid policies we found too stringent for making a frame selection. These folks were safe with reasonable protocols. Also, our experience at other places has been to turn us loose among the myriad of frame options. When we expressed to the folks at Eyemart that we were having trouble finding a frame that fit my daughter the experienced and professional staff went to work assisting us until we found not one, but two frames that worked. (This was after shopping three other places with no success; and no offer of help from staff.) Lastly, they worked with us to keep us within budget and our glasses were ready in 23 minutes. Loved the Doctor at this place! He is extremely knowledgeable with a terrific bedside manner. Go see him! No pun intended. And the receptionists were very nice and professional. The young man that helped me order my new lenses was a perfect employee in my opinion. He was probably the youngest worker there and he wore dark blue plastic eyewear (cant remember his name, though). Anyway.... He was AWESOME! All around A+ experience. Will be back.

Dr Mark was excellent. Very friendly!! The tech that did some test was nice. The receptionist was not friendly. No eye contact no smiles just straight to the point. I tried to be extra friendly to see if that helped but it didn’t. The ladies in the eye glass part of the business were phenomenal. It was a wonderful experience! The customer service was outstanding! I lost my glasses and was able to get an appointment with the Dr. the same day. I also picked out 2 frames, and was able to get 1 pair in less than 45 minutes. The cost were much more reasonable than going elsewhere! Ill be back for sure!

While crossing Lake Michigan on the SS Badger, my daughter took off her face mask, and her glasses went overboard! Since I had her prescription with us, we were able to walk in and get her two pairs of eyeglasses for less than the price of her previous pair. The people who helped us were wonderful, and the glasses were ready in less than an hour. She is so relieved to have perfect vision for the rest of our vacation!

Dr. Mark and his staff are great. The eyeglass sales department not so much. Waited to be greeted and helped for close to ten minutes. One sales gal was helping a couple. Three other sales people sat at their desks staring at the computer screen. As I looked at frames no one acknowledged me. When the phone rang one of the sales gals jumped up and ran to answer the phone. Funny that a phone customer gets priority over a cash paying client. I know where I.will not be purchasing eyeglasses.

We stopped in to this business a few times to fix my glasses for free and how they treated us with kindness each and every time. Thats the reason why we decided we were going to see a doctor and get a new pair of glass.I went through almost every single pair while waiting to be fitted. I felt bad that I went through so many but, the glasses I currently have have been leaving extreme indentations in my nose and causing me to break out.The lady who helps consult and her customer were giggling as each glasses makes you feel a certain way. I started feeling deflated as it seemed that nothing was The one. I was informed that there was still the display case that I hadnt gone through. We were all kinda giggling that glasses were more important than picking out shoes. I went through the display case and as soon as I thought I wouldnt find the perfect pair, lo and behold my pair was under the display case in a drawer. Lol. It felt like I hit the jackpot.They have so many choices and great brands.From the Dr asking us to call him Mark instead of feeling like a stuffy optometrist to the consultants? It was the best experience Ive had since, I saw my previous opometrist who sadly retired some years back.They also give 20% discounts to Veterans and family. A discount thats almost unheard of.I cant wait to get my glasses and be fitted properly with contacts as I have astigmatism and the last Dr gave me a pair and called it good when it wasnt properly fitted.This place is both professional and also laid back. Two things that SHOULD go hand in hand but, rarely does.

Ive worn glasses / contacts for 46 years, this was the best experience yet. I was greeted politely at the door. Given instructions about the Covid safety protocol, then shown where to check-in for my appointment right on time.The assistant for pre-check was very polite. Dr. Marc Austhof was awesome. He was thorough & explained all my options clearly. For several years @ a different Opthalmology Clinic, Ive been having trouble getting the right contact Rx. My husband has been going to Dr. Marc for years & has been very happy. I was given two different samples to try with the promise wed keep trying until we get it right.The floor staff was very helpful. They left me to check out styles on my own, but offered help if I needed. When I had a few picked out I asked Hope for her opinion. She was excellent!! Most fun Ive ever had picking out glasses. I got 2 pr all for $122. One pr was ready in 7 minutes. The other pr needed to be sent off for tinting.Overall, Id highly recommend this EyeMart Express. Just make sure you understand your own insurance options before you go.

My husband and I moved to Traverse City in June 2018 and were looking for somewhere here to buy glasses. We stopped in yesterday morning and were greeted by caring staff. They were willing to help and were upfront and informative. I think my favorite part of all was coming back in, after less than an hour, and being greeted by Angie with my new pair of glasses and first ever pair of prescription sunglasses. I wasn’t sure about the tint that was originally put in the pair of sunglasses and Angie said they could just change them out. I was surprised at the personal service I received. I tried on a lot of frames and the young lady who was helping me stayed right by my side until we determined what frame would be right for me. She also helped me pick out the right kind of lenses and tint I needed. I must’ve spent an hour in the store, and she helped me the entire time. Great customer service and excellent quality glasses. Best experience I’ve had getting reading glasses. Not only do they have Saturday hours, they have your glasses made in-house in less than an hour while you wait. Great prices on designer frames also. I only paid $25 out of pocket for my Ray Bans. I will be coming back for my sunglasses.

I took my prescription in and right away I was waited on. He was completely helpful, courteous, knew the answers to the questions I asked. This was my first time going to Eyemart. But it wont be my last. Love the fact that I got 2 pair of progressive glasses, for under $110.00. I got one sunglasses, one regular. I will be back.

In December 2019, right before Christmas, I was in your store in Traverse City Michigan with a friend who was getting glasses. While we were there, there was a very nice older African American gentleman who was also getting his glasses.When this gentleman turned around to leave, but while he was still in the store, one of your workers (she had long dark hair and her name tag said Angie) said loudly enough for us to hear, “I cant believe a black man would wear a Trump hat. What is wrong with him?”I could not believe my ears to hear this racist and rude remark. I have waited a while and was not going to say anything, but it bothered me very much.
