Service team was very accommodating! I needed and oil change for my Atlas Cross Sport. I called the dealer where I originally purchased my car and was told that they were scheduling appointments for early December. I called Suburban and the got me in the very next day! They were even able to complete the recall on my car! As long as I own my Cross Sport I won’t go anywhere else for service!

I am so in love with my new 2022 VW Atlas. First of all Edward McNamara is the best automobile sales person ever. I first met Edward a month before purchasing my vehicle. At the time I was just looking not sure what I wanted. But when I saw the Atlas my husband encouraged me to test drive it. So I met my salesman Edward McNamara; he was pleasant, easy to talk to and he had us laughing; what auto salesperson does that? I took the 2021 Atlas Cross Sport SE Rline out for a test drive. I liked it but I wasnt in love with it.. So, I kept looking at other vehicles like the Cadillac XT5, the Acura, MDX and a few others. I had pushy sales people trying to sale me what I did not want; and dealerships that had inventory advertised they did not actually have on site. I was really surprised that while checking my email I saw one from Edward that I missed from 2 days prior. He remembered me and had the vehicle I wanted. By the time I called Edward back it had already been sold.But, he had on the lot a Black 2022 Atlas Cross Sport SEL 4 Motion. He asked if I wanted to come in to see it. It was a Friday, 2 hours before closing and raining, he still wanted us to come in. Needless to say I am the proud owner of that 2022 Atlas SEL 4 motion. Edward and Michael (finance) stayed past closing to finish the sale. Edward sat in the car and explained the dash and the different settings and answered all my questions and he put my old plate on in the rain. Edward thank you. I came in for a recall on my DAB, plus a couple other issues. I was there a little over an hour, less than expected. One if the issues was my cruise control not working - it turned out to be a computer setting that the service tech simply reset, & I didnt have to pay the $145 diagnostic, so, Yay!The service lounge was cool & comfortable. Some coffee would have been nice, but they stopped making it last year because of the pandemic.

I was able to obtain online a same day service appointment for an oil. When I saw I would be late for the appointment, I called the dealership and was greeted by professional staff who told me I could still keep the appointment. Despite arriving late my car was serviced, washed and returned to me in under an hour. I highly recommend this dealership for its speed of service and professional friendly staff.

The lone service adviser did a great job of fitting in a recall job on my Atlas that was not part of the originally scheduled oil change and rotation. i was also pleased that scheduling an appointment was much sooner than the other VW dealer.

My recent service experience was very disappointing. My 2020 VW Atlas, which had 10K on it had few issues, the dealer diagnosed (August 24, 2021) the check engine light was due to oxygen sensor, also, the vehicle had a defective trunk latch. Due to COVID, the dealer didnt carry the replacement parts and asked me return back at a later time. A month later (Oct. 5, 2021) I left my car to replace the above mentioned parts, but never heard anything from the service advisor when the car will be fixed, I waited patiently till 4 pm ET and left a voicemail to the service advisor enquiring about the status of the vehicle, but nobody bothered to call me back. So, it went onto day 2, again I left few messages since I was stranded without a car. Again, absolutely no reply from the service advisor. Finally around 4 pm ET on day 2 I was able to get hold of the service advisor and asked him about the status, I get a vague answer saying Were still working it and will try to get it before close, the advisor was so rude and arrogant! Just to remind you the dealership closes at 6 pm, they have 2 hours left, when I tell them that in event like this when youre not certain about fixing the car the dealership should arrange a loaner to mitigate the inconvenience caused by the poor product! Again, the advisor is so rude with his answer stating that the dealership is not obligated to give me a loaner. This is the level of commitment from VW dealership and VWs poor quality! Do you think someone will return back to the dealership nor buying another VW product!Thanks for being a repeat VW customer! Great job VW! VW even makes it so hard to lodge a complaint, what a wonderful way to hear customer feedback.

I scheduled an appointment to install a wire harness for my VW Tiguan. I looked up the part online it was $150. So I’m thinking $300 total would be a fair price since it wasn’t expensive or time consuming work. But when the guy called me to tell me the price he said it was over $600. I told him never mind and that I won’t need the service done. Before I could say anything else he hung up me. Very poor service and terrible attitude. Will definitely not be back.

I took my ‘09 Beetle in because the low pressure tire light was on. I was told I could just add air to the tires, but I prefer to have professionals take care of it. It’s not exactly a new car and there might be other problems. As it turned out, their service guys found issues with the struts and said the tires were getting worn. They told me nothing had to be done immediately but to be aware of them. I decided to get the work done and get new tires and I’m glad I did. My car drives so much better than when I took it in! I felt the price was reasonable, the work was done in a timely manner, and I’m much happier with my car.

My favorite place to get my vw serviced. Ive been coming in for about 2 years now, and its been a straight forward, no-bs experience every time. Whenever something comes up that causes a delay (its rare), the dealer owns up to it and has offered discounts, which makes up for the inconvenience. Prices for service are cheap here too! Especially considering that stuff like a oil change on a vw will be expensive regardless, since the oil is fancy because its a vw. I recommend this location!

Edit: They fixed what they had broken, admitted they damaged it during service and did not charge me any additional fees. Im pleased that they did this, but it only barely changes the way that my first appointment went. Taking an average amount of interest in doing service to expected standards would have resolved this and gotten 5 stars. I dont believe any work was completed besides rotating tires and damaging my car in the process.Came in for routine 80k mile maintenance, and left with all the same warning lights but gained a horrible grinding. When I asked on the phone for assistance I was told we didnt do anything that would start causing grinding. If we determine its something we did we can fix it for you, which implies to me that Im being told that magically something that only started after I was given my car back after service is my fault even though it was not happening before. I sincerely hope that I can update this review, but after spending $464 to have my oil and spark plugs changed and I have more issues than when I started, its not looking good. I guess I had to learn the hard way myself, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO A DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE

Terrible service department. Took advantage of my 16 year old kid twice, then said it wasn’t under warranty. Took the same car to another dealer, fixed same day for free. Wanted $225 diagnostic charge on a/c that they charged less than a year ago. Derek was extremely rude and condescending.

When I called to make an appointment, Adam made sure there was a convenient time for me.The check in was prompt, and I was escorted to a very comfortable waiting area. I was given the option to text Adam if I had questions while I waited. My car was serviced in a reasonable amount of time.When the work was finished, Adam carefully explained everything that had been done. My car was given a courtesy wash!I have only had my car serviced at Surburan Volkswagen since I have had it. The staff makes every effort to make any repair or service stress free. I also know the safety of my car is a top priority for them. I would never go anywhere else. This staff is top notch. The best!

Nothing worse than a service department when you take a Volkswagen for issues they tell you theres nothing the matter with the car.Or in this case, your vehicle is like that because of the covid virus Absolutely true quote from service writer.Bottom line is, after Volkswagen got sued they cut corners and stopped manufacturing vehicles with quality in mind.Instead of a stellar reputation for well-built vehicles Volkswagen now sucks... Stay away from this brand.

Ken, in the parts department was quick to assist and I had the part in my car in the same day. They happened to have what I needed in stock and ready to go. David in the service department is a genuinely nice man who cares about his customers. He has been a huge part of why I have continued to bring my car in for oil changes. He deserves better, he is the only reason you are getting 3 stars.I understand you need to look out for your customers. I understand you need to make money. I also understand nothing should be done for free. HOWEVER, I think it is in poor taste to charge the prices you do and expect people to pay these prices. My car is only worth around $2400, I was recently quoted $4300 for various repairs. That makes no sense whatsoever. Front brake pads are quoted at $550, yes pads, just pads, nothing more! I can get them done at any other shop with certified mechanics for around $175. Why the price difference?!?!?! $2400 worth of repairs you quoted are only going to cost around $700. If you want your customers to return and spend their money with you, don’t treat them like this, it is poor customer relations.Now, for the sales department. It was brought to my attention I could easily get into a new car, I might have considered it if not for the behavior of the sales staff. I understand you have Mazda and VW staff in the same building but I have no way of knowing who works for what brand. So all of their behavior reflects on VW. When you have customers from the service department waiting for their vehicles they should not be hearing how stupid customers are. Remember, I might have a need to speak to someone based on my cars shape. That type of speak tends to turn people off. A short time later I heard/watched 2 salesmen yelling at one another about the “stupidity” of a project. The F word was used 3-4 times. Again you had two customers waiting for their vehicles to be serviced. Both of us looked up to make sure we were not caught in the middle of something. Based on the unprofessional behavior of the sales staff, I’ll never buy a car from this dealership.

Do NOT take your vehicle here for service! Took my car here for the 30k and 40k mile maintenance. I was travelling a lot for work so those trips were only 5ish months apart. At the 30K mile maintenance I had them take off my snow tires and put my regular tires on. All seemed fine until about a week and a half ago. I walked out to my car with a flat tire. I am a very cautious driver and was parked in a parking lot clear of debris. I got the tire swapped out and after having it checked out by my local tire shop, they showed me the damage shown in the picture below. Not something that could have been caused by normal driving. At my 40k mile maintenance, they had to change the fuel filter. They did not reattach the fuel line properly afterwards because they were in a hurry so while I was out to dinner with a friend, my gas tank leaked out almost completely on to the parking lot. I had to have my car towed, after waiting 2 hours for a tow truck, and the fuel line repaired. They were nice enough to repay me for the repair bill for this issue. I reached out to them again after the tire issue as that happened after the fuel line issue and the basic response was We couldnt have done that. The issue would have shown up way sooner. The two maintenance visits cost just over $1100. Absolutely TERRIBLE service and not trustworthy at all. I take good care of my car and should not be as nervous as I am to drive it around just waiting for the next thing to happen. Make the drive to Lansing. They treat you way better and the service is better as well.

Came in for a steering wheel clock spring issue, my car was still under 120,000 miles so got it replaced under warranty.Was given suggestions on what to keep an eye on but nothing pushy! Most other dealers will try to sell you things but not here. If you dont need it, they dont force it.Thank you for quick and easy service.

I recently had my VW Beetle serviced by Adam. He completely went above and beyond to help me, not only with my vehicle, but with making sure I was able to go back home to work (which is difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic). I felt more than taken care of, and because of that, I will always go to that dealership for any services my VW requires. I’m not sure I will get Adam every time, but I hope I do! He is pleasant to work with, and goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience. This dealership is lucky to have him! I highly recommend getting your vehicle serviced here, if you’re looking for a good dealership that looks out for your best interest and doesn’t take all of your money!

This is a review for the service department, as my vehicle was purchased online. I brought my 2016 Tiguan in for service last night, and I didn’t have an appointment but was taken care of immediately, and the oil change/wiper blade replacement was quick as and efficient. Adam was very kind and professional, and went over the services that were done on my car with me as I checked out. I had asked for a key fob battery replacement, which didn’t get done (my own fault for coming in an hour before close) but I went the next day and explained that I had asked for it the night before, and they changed it, and didn’t charge me, which I appreciated. They also washed my car for me which was great! I highly recommend the service department at Suburban Volkswagen of Troy for any service needs on your Volkswagen.

The salespeople and service managers are very nice. The waiting areas have free snacks, water, coffee, TV, and charging stations. I just wish Suburban didn’t own every dealership in this area. It allows them to cut corners and leaves consumers without other options. I prefer the personal touch of a more independent business than one that makes it a goal to sell as many makes of cars as possible.

I bought the Tiguan brand new from the dealership with high hopes for our family SUV. Almost immediately I noticed that the vehicle hesitated to accelerate from a stopped position a few times, but couldnt believe I was having a problem so soon after buying the car.When I realized that this was a recurring car issue and not user error, we had only owned the car for 3 weeks and the car had roughly 1200 miles.It was absolutely terrifying when I was turning left during rush hour traffic with my 12 month old son in the back seat and my car would not accelerate beyond about 5 miles per hour. Luckily the driver coming towards me on the main road slowed down with enough time for me to make my left turn and coast right into a nearby subdivision. I pressed my foot onto the accelerator to the floor and it took about 20 seconds for it to kick into speed. I took the car to the dealership where I assumed it would be fixed.After 9 days in the shop, they claim they drove the vehicle 80 miles and couldnt duplicate the issue. Therefore, they want me to put my family back into the car that is completely unsafe to drive. They tried to tell me that it was the turbo lag that I am experiencing which, in the long run, a manager admitted to my fiance and I is untrue isnt even what we are expressing as the problem.After talking to 3 managers, we finally found someone who is head of the service department at the dealership who sympathized with our issue and is letting us use a loaner until Volkswagen calls us back, but this is only after I showed them all of the other reviews on this website that state our exact issue.Now we wait to see if Volkswagen will do the right thing or if their customer service is as terrible as the dealership where we bought it when we went in with a real and terrifying issue.This is the beginning of what will be a recall. Unsafe and scary.

The service manager, Dave, was very attentive and maintained great, informative communication concerning recall work needed for my vehicle. I want provided contact information for any needs and even received text message updates which were helpful. Four to Five stars...When I had to return for a unresolved issue, my vehicle was quickly serviced to resolve the issue. Dave went above and beyond even while not feeling well. Thank you!

Brought my VW in for a check engine light with a code for the exhaust gas sensor. Service said they would need my car overnight so I left it there. They waited 3 days to contact VW corp to order the part. On the 4th day they call me to say the car was fixed, but when I got it started to drive away, the CEL was still on.

This place makes me full of disappointment and feel angry. A guy called Adam or something get my car, and told me they will call me when my car was ready. However, no one calls me in the coming 2 days until I called them, and they told them my car was ready to pick. I was so surprised that I had even been told any issues except to change my battery, which I realized should still be good to use after they told me some crazy thing.Lets back to the call, the advisor told me to wait 2 seconds, the longest 2 sec in my life, which is actually 2 hours, I believe they forgot to check my car with the noise issue at all.They call me back about 2 hours later, and i was told the catalytic converter needed to be changed and it was 4200 dollars to replace it!!!! At this point, I still feel like my car need a big repair but i might not be able to do it at their place because it was too expensive for me to afford. I went to some private auto car factory and some one took 20s to find out the reason caused the problem, which is leakage at the flex pipe and only charged my 350 dollars.At this moment I feel angry and very very disappoint. I find this place according to their high rate by the customers, but actually you can not rely on it, people changes.Will not be here anymore and hope my own experiences can help someone.I have to give them 1 star to submit my comment, I would rather to give them negative 5 stars.

We have bought several cars through this dealership and have been very happy with both their sales and service staff. Like everything else you need to research the extras you will be asked to consider. The only extra we have purchased that we found not to be worth it, was the windshield coating for clear vision. Otherwise, its a matter of personal choice and degree of risk aversion.When leasing, be sure you establish how existing miles on the car will be counted and are not included in the lease miles you are expecting to have.

I brought my 2016 Tiguan in for its 20,000 mile oil change, tire rotation etc. and had a great experience. During the inspection they found my front tire had an air bubble in it and was able to use my tire protection plan to get a new tire for no additional charge. Super convenient to drop off my car in the morning on my way to work and take the dealer shuttle to my office. When I picked my car up it was washed and they even vacuumed out the dirt Id spilled on the back floor mat!

Adam was my service manager and I could not be more grateful to have had him! I brought my car in for an oil change and he notified me that I needed the breaks replaced badly. The work was done quickly and he worked with me in getting the best price for the VW parts. I brought my car back in the next week for a check engine light that concerned me but within a couple hours all was okay. I absolutely hate going to dealerships but Adam has gone above and beyond and I recommend anyone that needs any sort of maintenance or repair to visit him.

It took about 30 hours to complete a 100k maintenance plus checking the light issue.The light issue was resolved in another certified dealer for less than half hour.What’s more, I scheduled a second appointment last week and this week when I called to confirm the appointment they say They may not be able to look at my vehicle until next Monday.Which means I have to drive a car without turning and backing signal for more than a week.I understand the owner of this shop cares about criticism, but if apology works for everything what is the point for leaving a review.

This review is for the service department. Honestly, service was great. In and out real quick, without a hassle. However, I had to take two stars off. I called the dealership ahead of time to make an appointment for an oil change. When I came in, I got my paperwork done, and got an estimate for a tire rotation as well without being informed about it beforehand. The man who was managing the sales desk for service failed to mention to me that there was another charge on the form until I had asked him what that was about. He ended telling me that I didnt need to do it (which I knew already). But thats only because I pointed it out, or else hed have me sign for a form that did not relate to what I had asked for in the beginning, paying almost twice as much as what I originally wouldve paid for. Im not sure why I had to encounter an up-charge, maybe its because Im a woman, and people tend to assume that women dont know whats going on with their vehicles? Read your quotes before signing people...

I have been servicing my Passat at Suburban of Troy for over 6 years and have always had a favorable experience. Adam and the other service consultants, as well as the mechanics, have been great. The facility, customer waiting area and amenities are among the best I have experienced. The smaller size of the dealership makes it especially appealing because you get personalized service and attention, unlike being treated like a number at larger dealerships where no one knows who you are or the status of your vehicle or when it will be ready.

Ive had my car serviced here several times and plan to continue using them. Their online scheduling system is convenient and service is timely. Their service group isnt pushy which I appreciate, their facility is clean and they offer the basics (internet, some snacks, drinks) if you choose to wait while your work is done, without feeling like youre financing a luxury waiting room with your repair cost. I would recommend coming here.

I came in for a routine oil change. Upon leaving the dealership, my TPM light came on. I came back to the dealership to discover there was a nail in my tire. Its still unbeknownst to us all how or when the nail got lodged in the tire wall, but the service manager Chris was nice enough to replace the tire for me (since I did not have that issue before arriving). Its service like that, that keeps you coming back. I really appreciate it!

Great service. I went in for a four wheel alignment and tire balancing. Amir told me I didnt need either but found out that a couple exhaust sensors were disconnected and he had those repaired. My car is running well and Im a happy human. Kudos!
