The most magical place I have ever been. The staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more. I left the store feeling so calm and relaxed. The energy there is lovely. Stop by, you wont be disappointed!

I absolutely love coming here and wish I went more often. The atmosphere, the staff, the selection is all suberb. A word of warning when you go they kindly ask you not use your phone for various reasons. Almost anything you could need or want to learn you will find here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

This store has an amazing vibe. Upon leaving I felt cleansed and centered. It was truly amazing. It seems like its a bit pricy but all of the items I was drawn to were of high quality and nothing chintzy in sight.

I went to check my phone for my shopping list and was yelled at by the person working there for using my phone.I didnt see any signs, though I may have missed them. Either way- it was a unprofessional approach and could have been handled much more politely. Lost my business.Remember you never know what someone is going through. Its mental health awareness month, after all. Will not be going there again.

Really like the shoppe as it is a beautiful place with plenty to choose from for all of your metaphysical endeavors, just wish I could stop by more often as I live so close by too. My only negative about the shoppe is that the prices are truly outrageous which is really a downside as it’s one of the only metaphysical shoppes around here and can be sort of an inconvenience. It’s a bit of a bummer when you’re trying to buy Florida Water and a couple crystals and incense and your total turns out to almost 50 dollars for just some small items that should really only be less than about 15-20 dollars, but otherwise I wish them nothing but the best, just hopeful that one day the prices will be lowered for those of us that can’t afford it! Cute shope with a Very welcoming owner. Astetically beautiful. shopis placed in a olden bar. They kept the charm of the old establishment and used it to give the shop its own super unique appeal.

This was an amazing store! As soon as I walked in I felt connected, grounded and so at peace. The ladies there were so kind and caring and ready to answer any question. I highly recommend!!

The space was a place out of time and the sage and patchouli smell was from a forgotten memory. I will be back to find needed incense and mrryh to keep my chakras right.

The energy here was extremely intense I was particularly drawn to this store! Absolutely beautiful, great energy within the store and wonderful staff. I was here twice today and plan to frequently visit. I felt so welcomed. It was the stores’ birthday so I left with great gifts following both visits! I purchased lots with two of my favorites being this beautiful pendulum and a body cream that works wonders for claiming me. If there are also events here I’d definitely attend 😊 overall such a lovely experience

One of the most magical places I’ve ever been to. The number of different smells and aromas that calmly overwhelm the soul. I’m personally learning Wiccanry, and my friend brings me here all the time. The number of gemstones crystals, and hundreds of other types of 100% natural stones and crystals, it’s like a dream, yet it’s real. This place is definitely suggested to anybody who is looking for crystals, stones, candles, if it fits within the hippies, whiches, and gypsies criteria, they are most likely going to have it. I love you guys, and I can’t wait to come back!

Wide variety of products. I have been many times over many years including at the old location. I haven’t had a “bad” experience here however I don’t go out of my way to recommend this place.My personal opinion: The people in the shop are tired and defensive with exception of one or two. The energy from the owner is that she is better than all, proud, money hungry and very disingenuous with her “friendliness”. Sometimes she will stop the world from rotating just to help you and other times you are the bane of her existence, primarily the latter and never for more than money. Let’s not even discuss the outrageous prices. The items on “clearance” are closer to the normal retail prices.I must say, the owner saw an opportunity to monopolize on the metaphysical category for the Capital District area as there are not many shops like hers and flew with the idea. Considering this country thrives on the lack in knowledge of the naïve, the owner really feeds off those who feel “lost” or looking for direction. In a business aspect the owner definitely aced it. Spiritually has great potential for making money as people will always be chasing it. Just remember, there is a difference between paying for knowledge of spirituality and being taken advantage of.Do yourself a favor and take a look at the shop.See something you love and can’t live without? Buy it! OR if you can wait, remember the product and shop online or at another store to price compare. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Don’t shop blind in this store,...you will be throwing your money away. If you do go, please let them keep their superior attitudes and fake energy.Please know this is MY OPINION. Go make your own and consider all those who said something similar. I’m sure the owner will come back with a comment to this about her “policies” and her “store” and how her shop isn’t for everyone or some defensive or belittling remark to “shut me down”. Love this place. Got ripped off buying fake crystals on amazon. This place is now my go to. Authentic all the way here. Very nice lady who owns the place and she knows all about the different crystals there are hundreds of different kinds and all price ranges. She sells other cool stuff too. Like incense, sage, jewelry bunch of unique things.

Gorgeous place, everyone is so sweet. The prices is outrageous, but good for things you need immediately. Most of the stuff you can get cheaper on Amazon or at other religious stores or Botanicas. But on the flip note there are things that you can not find at health food stores or Amazon. Overall great place and people.

Very beautiful store. The building is nice and its filled with alot of things you may need. Ive only been there once because i get off work to late. I get why people say they get followed....but at the same time some people got sticky fingers or are just sensitive. I always just keep looking and try to enjoy myself. They answered any questions i had and helped me find things i needed. I just would like to go early one day and have time to really look at all the things they have. Its a really nice place.

If I could I’d give no stars . I felt very unwelcome . I felt like I was being followed and watched over as if they thought I would break something . When I asked questions I was responded to with an attitude as if I was a bother . My child, who is a mature 11 year old was treated as if she was a nuisance. I arrived within the hour before they close and was greeted with a heavy sigh and told I need to realize I don’t have long to look . It wasn’t so much what was said it was how it was said . For a store that is supposed to give off a calm relaxing energy ... it failed miserably . The people who work their make it feel very uncomfortable and as if they are better than or above their customers . News flash without your customers you wouldn’t have a store .

Best New Age store in the Capital District hands down! Beautifully laid out with a huge selection of merchandise.

They dont like photography inside, but its a delightful collection of wiccan, new age, and interesting material. The hours are non-standard, although definitely still 5 days in a week, but its very much worth visiting.Edit to add: I found the staff very helpful, and the selection broad. If youre looking for something in this wheelhouse, theyre going to be able to get you sorted and likely talk at length about it.

This place is amazing. You need some time to take a look at all of the offerings. Strict no cell phone policy, which is kind of nice. Forces you to be present and soak everything in. If youre into crystals, incense and new age stuff, this place will be for you. If youre not, youll still love it because the place is simply beautiful. The staff are very friendly and will explain anything that you might have questions about. Make sure you have some time to look there is a lot packed into the store.

Very interesting shop. Lots of items to choose from and its organized wonderfully. Its in sections by nation, by religion, and by item. Example, sage is found in each section but there is also a table in the center with all the different types of sage with their description and uses.

Hippies, Witches, & Gypsies was a phenomenal little shop with a great selection for the price.I came into Troy for a few days to work on a conversion project for my job.Sunday was the only day I had off, so I planned on making a trip to the store.It’s situated in a cool little bohemian setting, and the energy the shop emanates is so positive.I found a few gifts for my grandkids and my wife that they are definitely going to appreciate and cherish long into the future.The ladies in the shop were beyond helpful to me in finding the perfect things I was looking for.If I’m ever back in the Albany area in the future, Hippies, Witches, & Gypsies will be on my “must stop” list again.The owner wasn’t present, but she has set up a great place for any Pagan, like myself, to find some of the best things.

Compared to other stores Ive been to, this one is fairly pricey and does not have a great selection. But its probably the best youll get in the area.On the up-side, the staff are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is nice.

Love the selection of crystals, candles and everything else. A little small for the delicate items they have in the store but I was told theyd be moving soon.

The owner and workers are friendly and helpful and they have a wide assortment of things to chose from. Prices are what they are. Rent needs to be paid so you crybabies need to shut up. I spend a 100 dollars In here everytime I come and Im not complaining. It beats waiting weeks for things to come in the mail online then not show up or be something I didnt order. What I like is the selection of great items. What I dont like is the no cell phone policy, angry and uninviting signs, and the constant reminders that youre on camera. Ive been a couple times and every time I go the sales associates watch you and slowly follow you around the store probably to make sure youre not stealing. I dont get the vibe at all that Its just to see if you need any help.Its just very uninviting overall and insanely overpriced. $31 for a tiny essential oil thats less than $10 everywhere else? $90 for a small essential oil diffuser? I wish them good luck

Looked nice, but...I certainly didnt feel welcome in there. I entered with my ladyfriends and son. The first thing you are greeted with is a large sign warning you of their no cell phone policy. Fair enough. This is posted in the building lobby, outside of their door.The second greeting is another sign, this one being the general rules. The first of which is to be aware of and obey the cell phone rules, followed by the statement that the stores hours for the day are posted on-line and on their voice mail. There are others, but I was interupted in reading them by an employee pushing past me to ask my ladies what they might be looking for. I was apparently deemed unworthy of her efforts.After being told they were just looking around, my ladies noted they had a constant shadow for the remainder of of our visit.For a store specializing in interests that rely heavily on emotional and psychic energy, they seem intent on buildimg up a great deal of negative energy. I cannot in good conscience recommend them for anybody.
