Love this local game shop. The original store on Tucson Mall gets 5 stars for being more filled out, hoping this branch can grow to match the sheer magic of the northside location. Staff readily answer questions, there are many mysteries as tonto the exact working of a lot of the toys and games and books displayed around the store and that is absolutely fundamental to the charm. Go. Look. Interact. Geek.tf. out. Help make that 5th star. Got old games? DnD stuff? Take it here, not Bookmans. Sayin.
One of the best places for all things comics, figures, and collectables
Great selection of any kind of game you could want.We went in with a list of stuff we were looking for, and even though they didnt have some of it, the guy behind the counter was determined to help us hunt down what he could when we had trouble finding it ourselves, and we walked out with a couple new awesome tabletop games.
Oh, so much fun. Can bring in your own games or play one of theirs. They sell soft drinks, chips and candy and request that you purchase some if youll be playing games there. They also sell games.
OMG!! No matter your age you feel like a kid in a candy store. If you can think of a game - they have it. If you want to play a game - they do it. If you want to rent a game - they do it. If you like to play games - this is the place to be.
Super friendly service. They moved locations but the store still looks great. I am so glad they are still in the mall.
Excellent game selection, especially with some of the more indie RPGs. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Fantastic stop.
A lot great choices. I can easily spend a ton of money here.
Great place, lots of stock, great employees. Many activities throughout the month!
Games and Gadgets has welcoming gaming community and plenty of fun games of all kinds
I didnt buy anything but the place looks great very helpful stuff and look forward to the future visits
If you shop here you probably aren’t familiar with Isle of Games, which is a 100 times better store. I went in to buy an expansion for a game because Isle of Games sold their copy. The retail price for said expansion was $25, but since it had just sold out online this month, TG&G decided to upcharge the expansion to $100… TG&G also sells Kickstarter games for more than twice the price than the retail (which is sometimes the same or more than the prices of kickstarted games you can buy on eBay for exorbitant prices). Isle of games is another board game/ tabletop retail game store here in Tucson and they don’t upcharge games just because of the demand on them, they don’t ask for exorbitant prices for kickstarters they back, they have twice as many different games than TG&G, and they offer an amazing reward system. Dont waste your time and money shopping at Tucson games and gadgets
This store helped me really get into boardgames. Ive been visiting this store regularly for over a year now, and the store associates always give great recommendations for new games to try out. They have a large selection of boardgames, but not so many that its overwhelming trying to pick your next game, and the staff is incredibly helpful and clearly passionate about the hobby. This is a great place to check out if youre new to boardgames, or if youre a serious boardgame fan looking for your next great game.
I personally recommend Tucson Games and Gadgets. If you are going to Parkplace Mall version, the room was recently relocated to room 500 instead of its original 242. They have D&D books, figurines, paints etc with helpful staff. If you have any personal requests for figurines you can make one.
A nice game shop in the Park Place mall that has large collection to choose from. I saw Dust Tactics, used of course, which is a legendary game from its time. I picked up Curse of Strahd Tarokka Deck to fill out my Oracle decks. Worth a look around, there are tables to play at.
Always attentive & knowledgeable staff, best selection of games and accessories in Arizona. Two locations, and a thriving gaming community!
Wish they had mask mandates to be in the store. The owner wears one.
I am a board gamer/nerd, and this place seemed very accommodating. Has some rare board games too that are out of print. Our guy managing the store answered our questions and helped us find what we were looking forAlso has lots of sitting areas to sit down and game at. I imagine there’s many FNM games happening at this store.Thumbs up for me!
Has a great selection of games!
Best game store in Arizona! Couldnt be happier with the customer service and purchase. Thank you!
As good as it can get!
Always glad to have more FLGs around. Decent selection, open and clean, well organized, only issue was a lack of staff interaction. When we entered none of the several staff members acknowledged our presence, and after deciding to make a purchase we had to wait for a bit for all the staff to finish their conversation about magic cards before anyone even offered to take my money. Otherwise a nice shop, maybe was just a one off, would still definitely go back.
This place is really something special! I went on in just to check it out and see if they have any cool board games! They do have cool board games. A lot of them. So many, that if youre into board games you could be looking at games for hours. What was really special was the customer service. We asked him if he knew of any simply and fun board games and he showed us some of his top favorites. After we had a hard time deciding if we really wanted to purchase a game, he informed us of their rental system. For 5 bucks, you can rent one of their games for 48 hours. Its like a movie rental and we loved it. We played a card game called arboretum which was easy to pick up and understand. We also tried Western legends. It was a little too hard for some of our friends to grasp but we only spent 5 dollars so it was totally worth it! Come see these guys next year too as they will be opening a bar in the back! They also have several d&d tables and rooms to rent. I give it a 10/10
New and improved! Great place for gaming and nice selection for tabletop gaming!
Always good service and clean store
Hey, ive been using this place since they opened a long time ago back in 2014 or 15, once a single store in broadway and now 2 stores on 2 huge malls in tucson, really cool to see them grow like they have. really awesome decor and atmosphere on the tucson mall location, and on their last location on park place, its was more refined and neutral looking which i also appreciate.
TGG is by far the best pair of LGS in southern Arizona. Will always be a loyal patron...be sure to check out the new Short Rest Tavern at the Tucson Mall location. Love them!
The store reminds me of the gaming stores of my youth. A place where you can game(cards, RPG, RTS, etc) with others. Also you can buy them right in the store.
Great collection of games and friendly staff
Huge selection, great prices!
I loved this place back when it was on Broadway. Id heard it had moved to the Tucson Mall, but I dislike that mall, so I never went. Now that its at the Park Place mall, which I like more, I might actually drop in occasionally. It doesnt seem to have nearly as much stuff for sale in the front as it did on Broadway, which is a tad disappointing, but it has a huge back room with lots of tables for gaming now, so thats pretty cool.
Played Star Trek Ascendancy in their back room. Good times! Great selection of games and knowledgeable staff to help you find the right game whether your a novice or veteran board gammer.
This is a great little gaming store in the mall! The new location really let them expand their selection, and the large backroom lets you try out games before you buy them!I go here for the Wednesday & Saturday night Adventurers League and always have a great time.
Paul and Mark were extremely friendly and very helpful. They took the time to show me the store and explain all the services the offer (game nights, etc). We are new to table top gaming and Paul was able to expertly explain questions I had and fill in knowledge gaps. Thanks for making us feel so welcome in your store, really appreciate time and expertise. These guys are passionate about what they do so please make sure to check them out and support local business by shopping through them.
My grandson loves that place! He saves his money to go buy the characters that he likes and wants. Its a pretty cool store to go in to and look around, if youve never been in there.
I come here for the people and environment. Its definitely the social side of a perfect game store. The *only* reason Im holding back the five star is because the selection is always sparse (drinks, dice, and D&D items). Definitely come here if youre looking for a game store to regular, everyone here (staff and patrons) are warm and welcoming.
Awesome store!!! We took several gently used board games in to trade for cash or store credit. We got more than we felt was fair for the trades, and got an even better deal on the games we purchased with the store credit. Kinda made out like bandits! Everyone was very helpful and friendly, they had an awesome campaign going on in the back room, which was cool to watch. And they had great deals on games, cheaper than through amazon. 5 out of 5
I expected so much more when I walked into this new location. My experience with Tucson Games and Gadgets has always been a delight. Even if we were not able to find a new game to our liking, the staff were pleasant, attentive, and full of helpful incite on games. This time, however, we were completely ignored after a curt hello. The inventory was scarce due to the holidays which was understandable, but we most definitely could have been convinced to get a couple of the games they had left if the employees at the back of the store hadn’t been acting so frosty. We’ll take our business back to the other location.
Visited once while wandering the mall with friends and now plan to visit regularly. Great place to hang out, very warm and friendly staff, and in general a good store. Decent selection of products and snacks along with a great library of tabletop and board games to try.
Amazing selection
Fantastic business! The people that work there are always friendly. The stock is updated frequently. I like it.
Store was clean and inviting with great displays and several gaming tables set up. Not a huge stock of games to choose from and no Savage Worlds gaming material. Small stock of dice. Mostly order board games. Attendant was very pleasant and friendly.
Very different from any other board game store Ive been to. It was very clean, almost sparse with board games. It allows you to not feel claustrophobic but also doesnt offer the most variety for experienced players as it only seems to stock the most popular board games from BGG . Tables set up for a play area if you get a group together.
Really great huge board game room in back lots to see check it out
All your games and gadget needs are here. Trust me.
The place is amazing for nerds and nerdy people alike. They have a ton free games to play, and all they ask is that you spend $5 on snacks or anything. We spend 4 hours there regular, and they dont bother us to spend money. We end up buying drinks, since were talking and laughing so much.
Solid game store with a wide variety of products and plenty of room to come and play. If youre looking for a clean and friendly environment, this is the place.
Nice little shop the employee was nice had quite a few event that caught my interest I honestly hope I can return one day and attend one the events
The guy behind the counter (maybe owner) is very helpful! He will give you a tour of the store if its your first time and will treat you as a friend. He selection of board games is great and the prices are very competitive to Amazon.
Found a nice gift for my brother from here. I like browsing in this store and looking for games, card games amoung other things. Sales associates are very accommodating and always helpful.
Nice place lots of selection
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff willing to show and share so much about the store
Great selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
This place has the best selection of product in town. The staff is friendly and work well to help you find the games you want. will go back whenever i want to buy a new game
This FLGS puts the emphasis on friendly. They have a large collection of games available to demo. The employees are always willing to help new players learn games. The atmosphere is always welcoming and fun!
Fantastic store, I love playing Magic here. A huge back room, friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere!
A+ always reliable inlet some stuff there and they were able to hold it for me
Great customer service. Amazingly knowledgeable. Will absolutely be going again.
I walked around browsing this store for 10 or 15 minutes and was interested in some products. The individuals working at the time didnt even acknowledge my existence as they sat playing card games and eating pizza. This store is literally 5 minutes from my house but I drive to the east side (Broadway and Pantano) to buy from their nice, friendly competitor.
Good store which facilitates communities for a variety of games: board games, rpgs, miniatures games, and card games. If you are interested in trying a game they have an extensive game library to play in the store. They also have a players wanted board if you want to find opponents.
Always have a great time I go every Tuesday and play magic the gathering
Great place, met some new people, played some MTG, had fun! Plan to come back for D&D and MTG events.
One of the best game stores in town, very friendly and accessible staff. They specialize currently in board gaming, Star wars x-wing and Armada, as well as host the largest Infinity and Netrunner crowds among the locals. Mark and the ladies should be proud of the place for sure!
It has a fairly good selection of board games, rpg stuff, and accessories. Was looking for a nice chess board and only had lower end options, but that might be what we wouldve wanted in a different situation.
Wish I lived closer, I would game there all the time. Very friendly staff. Great selection. Most game stores are a space for dudes who are the worst, but this place is welcoming and nice. A+.
These guys are awesome. They dont get in your face trying to sell you every game.
This is by far the best Gaming/Game store in Tucson. The owner is a great guy and does his BEST to help his patrons out. its just like settling down at the inn after a long adventure!!!Kenny M
Great place whether you are looking for a table top experience, a private room for a night of Role Playing, or a friendly spot to get your Magic fix on at, this shop has all you could want and more.
I Love TGG. its a great olace to game and to shop for gamers. the staff is friendly and knowlegable
Always a fun place to look around. Things are a bit pricey though
Great place to game, great people, great rules. Only slightly crowded and loud, but I cant blame them for being limited to a mall store.
Good!!
Staff was friendly. Lots of cool stuff. Expanding. Cant wait.
Everyone is extremely nice, friendliest staff of any game store.
Great place to game. Employee s are friendly and ready to assist you in any way they can.
I arrived with a strange request. I was looking for a game to use as part of one of my classes. I teach computer science. They were incrediby helpful and patient. I think we went throught 10 games before finding a winner.
Staff are rude and condescending. Not a family environment at all. No problem lying to you. Improper staff activity (kissing, touching, etc.). Tell you one thing then changes it seconds later. Oh and if you bought something elsewhere or online they have no problems kicking you out or if you ask for help learning the game replying have the people/internet you bought it from teach you. Go elsewhere!
My favorite game store in town! Great selection, awesome atmosphere, friendly staff! I always feel so welcome there.
Open gaming tables and a reasonable selection and diversity of games.
Excellent game store! Ive been to both locations and am so impressed by their stock, fair prices, and how tasteful and clean the stores are. You feel like you are actually going into a respectable business and gaming store, rather than a cheesy corporate store or a low-budget/sketch store. Its obvious the owner and staff are passionate about their merchandise and genuinely want to help you find a game youll enjoy. They have a massive selection of opened games you can just go in and play to make sure you enjoy the gameplay before you buy it, or if you want to simply buy some snacks (props to them for having lots of Mountain Dew and other great snacks in stock!) and play a game there for a bit. I want to give a huge THANKS to Paul who felt like an instant friend to my husband and I when we came into the E Broadway location. He showed us around, gave recommendations, explained their D&D Adventurers League and helped us through playing a game of Ethnos.
Very friendly staff, and an a overall nice place to play. Nice variety of snacks!
Nice game store with a fair amount of room to play games and a lot of inventory if youre looking for something new. Regular tournaments and game night meet ups if youre looking for some new people to play with.
Games and Gadgets is by far the best game store in Tucson. My husband and I play a variety of board games, RPGs, and miniature games. This store has a huge selection to meet our needs and, if they dont have something we desire, are always willing to go out of their way to search and order it for us. In addition to being knowledgable about an impressive variety of games, the staff are very kind and welcoming. Unlike some other game stores in town, Games and Gadgets welcomes a variety of skill and experience levels of gamers. As a woman, I never feel out of place there or condescended. Thank you Games and Gadgets!
Great selection of games, friendly staff, and a nice space.
It was a great day of gaming at TGG Broadway. Awesome place to play.
Great staff, the front staff is good to look at and has a great sense of humor. the store is is very presentable and isnt tucked away from the world like some places are.
Good selection of current editions of table top games but previous publications are mostly non existent.
Pretty cool place, the people there know their stuff
What a great store! Its the perfect place for card games and roleplaying with friends with a super friendly staff to boot. Their selection is great with a good mix of cards, RPGs, and strategy games.
Great place to go and game with friends or even their friendly staff (they have a great big walk of loaner games you can play too!)
Staff are very friendly and very helpful. A great place for geeks.
Awesome selection of games to play and for purchase. The staff, especially Arlene, are extremely helpful and welcoming!
Super friendly staff! I wish the had more Warhammer 40 k build and paint sets...
They quickly recieved a game for me that was not in stock right on time for the holidays.
This was my first time going to Tucson Games and Gadgets. I decide to go because they have a weekly Meetup in the Free Events Meetup and to check out what games they had on sale because the store I usually frequent hasnt had anything thats caught my eye lately. When I walked in I was immediately and rudely told I HAD to spend 3 dollars on snacks. Then during one game the lady Arlene told us we needed to move tables soon and we needed to buy stuff. Then when the game was over and we were moving tables she again very rudely and forcefully told us to buy stuff. I combined what I got with a friends because he offered to pay. Then again for the 4th time as we were leaving the store she stopped me and was like you havent spent your 3 dollars. I told her my friend paid for me and she said he only paid 4.25. Very funny she had it memorized. Then my friend again offered to pay and I said I didnt want any junk food and he also didnt want anymore junk food so he told her hed just give her the money. Then she said okay 2 dollars. We were like ummmm here we are just given you the money and not buying anything with it and you are trying to get 25 cents more out of us!This was the first time my friend had ever been to a gaming store or played true table top games. What an off putting experience! I have been to all the other gaming stores in Tucson and never been treated like this. It is an unspoken rule that you do buy at least something if you are going to play games there or even Ive had store owners ask kindly once to please help support by buying games or food. This made it feel like we were unwelcome criminals.
