Salesman talked me out of buying a Gamecube from the store and instead sold me a Wii system to play both. The Wii does not work. It wont accept discs from either system and flickers heavy on the screen. You want to represent small business game stores instead of big chains like Gamestop, try making sure your equipment works before selling it to a customer.Permanently closed. good

Came here to get my PS3 fixed. You have to pay $12.50 for dismantling fee but it goes towards the repair. However, it turned out that they couldnt fix it and offered me a full refund. While it sucked that they couldnt fix it, I appreciated their friendliness and their professionalism throughout the process.

Just moved to the area, found this place via Google. I went out of my way to check out this little store specifically because it is family owned and operated. I was very impressed by the store’s layout as well as the friendly customer service, and even moreso after I arrived back home as I opened the console I purchased. Down to tiny detail, I can tell the console has been meticulously cleaned, and most likely repaired/inspected internally as well. It works like a charm. Terrible service!! the owner took my PS4 apart to see if it was fixable he said yes. I said come back when I have the money. then when I came back to pay for my repair he told me that I had took it apart and try to fix it myself then denied my service. Honestly I think it was because I was black

Loved this place!!! The gentleman was so helpful and patient when I took in my PS4 to get repaired. They have so many games from new ones, to even some classics that I couldnt even find at Bookmans. Highly recommend.

The customer service is excellent. Most of the staff members have top-notch knowledge. At times, if they dont know an answer, they will ask a colleague or even call one of the owners, Dave, on the spot if they dont know the answer. Only one guy is pretty shy, doesnt say much, I think he is a new face so maybe new. Now that my son is older and talks to staff himself, Id say they show him respect and are kind.If you have serious questions about consoles and the industry, talk to Dave. Angel, the other owner, has done some magic with repairs of consoles and accessories. If someone else says they cant fix it, make sure to check with Angel before giving up. Finally, selection is great. Rarely do they not have a game, accessory, or console we want. And it is such a pleasure to have a place on the west side of Tucson! But if you dont live here, it is worth the drive!

I was having issues with my beloved ps4, it would constantly put itself into rest mode randomly. Anyway after a quick diagnosis and estimate I decided to leave it for a, “spa” day (cleaning etc). After getting it back I spent all night gaming with no issues!!! The techs at Gametraders AWESOME.

Sold me a Dreamcast who’s laser went out within hours. Guy was rude af and price for trade in, unused PS Vita, was chump af, they turned around and sold it for more than double. Go to Bookman’s who have more selection, better prices and treat you better. This place is a little hole in the wall anyway who’s prices usually exceed Bookman’s. I stopped even going here.

One of the last local game stores in Tucson, Gametrader is a home away from home. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is enough to make you WANT to buy something and, believe it or not, everyone that works there is a gamer, so they know what theyre talking about. The only people I could ever see complaining about this place are impoverished slopes who dont have an income and expect their games to be paid for in nickles and dimes.

Good place to window shop, never know what youll find. Friendly staff will always try to help or even strike up a conversation.

Went in there and noticed it was clean which is a big plus. After further inspection of the merchandise, they had reproduction covers. This generally isn’t a deal breaker if it’s priced accordingly, however they were priced above Pricecharting’s complete pricing. This doesn’t fly in my book as a collector. Not to mention Metroid: Other M was $40. Pricecharting has it for $6 complete. I’m all for making money, but I feel sorry for the poor sap that buys it for at least 4 times retail pricing. I’m not saying Pricecharting is the “end all, be all”, but it should be checked along with other forms of pricing. The only saving grace this store has is it’s clean, organized well and the staff at the time were friendly, although they seemed oblivious to the definition of incomplete vs complete and pricing accordingly. This is fixable in my opinion, however, it should have been fixed a long time ago. 2 stars.PlusClean and organizedFriendlyConsOverpricedUninformed or just blatantly doesn’t care about collector market which is a shame considering they are in that market.Don’t recommend. Awesome place for trades and sales

This is my very 1st website review for any company. I had my Xbox One shipped by a friend and he forgot my power cord....this was a pain to replace! Walmart did not have one and when I went to GameStop the lady at the store told me the power supply was $70.00. I just needed the cord and not the main power hub...she didnt bother to dig in further or seek out any other creative solutions. Then I stumbled upon Game Trader via online. I called their number and spoke to Nick. After explaining my situation to him, he recommended I stopped by with my Xbox and see if one of his universal cords worked. Well, it did! Regardless of whether it worked or not, the fact that he sought out this creative solution was good enough! He didnt just tell me he didnt have the cord and goodluck. He went above and beyond to make appropriate recommendations for my unique situation which ended up with a successful resolution. Thank you again Nick! You are awesome man!!
