Nice little gun shop. They have a good selection of guns for the limited space and good prices. Note that the prices listed on the guns are for CASH only deals. The owner, Josh, is knowledgeable and has always been nice to deal with. Ive purchased several items from the shop over the last year.
I came here to buy my very first handgun: a Springfield XD subcompact 9mm, which I love. My mom is a firearms instructor here in town and has always raved about this place, having stocked the majority of her arsenal with guns from their shop. Now, I see why. The service is excellent. David and Elias are the two who helped me and they were friendly, helpful and attentive. Most importantly, they knew their stuff. Any question I had, they answered and they patiently walked me through almost every handgun model they had until I found exactly what I was looking for. They have an array of firearms to choose from; all excellent quality at great prices. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for their first gun, or just another gun to add to their collection. You can find firearms at other places in town, but not at The Armorys prices and not with their dedication to quality service.
This is hands down the best place in town to do business. The staff knows what they are doing. The carry a new brand of AR that is made here in tucson that is the best. If you are looking for a place to do business this is it. Check them out before you buy anywhere else.Jimmy
Although this is just an echo of two other comments for this store, I feel that it is worth the extra emphasis to warn shoppers looking to buy a gun to not come here first. I showed up to the store unaware that any store would be closed during open hours. Luckily Second Amendment Sports was a few hundred feet down and they seemed to also have good prices. What they are doing is just bad business practice.
Josh and the staff were very helpful and kind. The shop had exactly what I was looking for, when nobody else in town did. There prices were spot-on and quality was outstanding.I would recommend them.
Im going to echo a previous reviewers comments. I just tried to stop by and take a look at the store, but all I found was a locked door and a note on the door instructing people to call a phone number to be let in. Im sorry, but if a store doesnt actually unlock its doors during business hours so the public can shop, they obviously arent interested in my business enough to make it worthwhile for me to try to contact the owner to even be let into the freakin store. Ill be sure to avoid The Armory on Pima in the future, and will dissuade anyone I meet from going there either.
I came here once and when I went to open the door the person says sorry were open to the public and were not your typical gun shop and I ask what do you mean and he didnt go into any further detail well then I found out second amendment sports was really close I ended up going there I ended up spending a little over 2,000$ in cash there this was awhile back but I just wanted to let you guys know cause never judge a book by his cover ya I look like a young kid so maybe thats why you guys didnt want to deal with me I dont know but you lost a good sale
The Staff was very friendly, however “buyer beware.” I purchased a S&W M&P Shield for $509.00 a full $60.00 over Smith and Wesson’s MSRP of $449.00. By the way this was the Armory’s “Cash Price” so you can get a better deal. My father in law purchased the same handgun at the firearms store located next to the Armory for $395.00 several weeks before, needless to say I won’t be back and I’m telling all my friends and neighbors.
My experience was a good experience. Although they didnt have what I needed they could get if I was willing to wait. This place more or less specializes in police and law enforcement/ military now though and prices are pretty standard but on the high side depending on what you need. No cheap Guns are sold here. A little difficult to located as it is awkwardly posted behind a sign just after the corner.
Sorry to say, have been to this place about 5 times and they are never open... Fortunately, 2nd Amendment is just down the street, so they get our business. Would like to once, find it open just to see what they have. But, theyd have to put banners and flashing light out front to show they are open, I wont waste my time pulling into the parking lot, just to find they are closed !!!!
I have been to most of the the gun stores in Tucson, and every time I purchase a fire arm I end up buying from The Armory on Pima. The shop is small, but its well organized, the staff is great and always willing to help, and Josh the owner is always around and more then glad to spend time with his customers. Many of his customers are LEOs and he does a very good job of catering to those of us that work in law enforcement. Ive purchased a Springfield XDs .45 and a Glock 30 from the Armory. If your new to shooting or making your first firearms purchase, go to the Armory on Pima. They wont try to sell you on anything you dont want or need and they will spend the time with you to make sure your comfortable even if you dont make a purchase that day...originally thats what made me go back.
Ive bought a handgun through the Armory before and it was a 5-star experience. I just tried to buy another one from them and now I will never go back there for anything. I ordered a Glock in the beginning of September, 2014 and I was told that it would be in by the first or second week of October. Well, it wasnt. No big deal I could wait longer. I called to check on my order October 22nd and I was told to just wait longer. I called the following week on October 28th and I was informed that they canceled their dealings with Glock and that I would need to come in for a refund on my deposit. I was told that they (The Armory) wanted to focus more on their manufacturing of ARs and they were losing time/money every time they had to deal with customers phone calls and inquiries relating to purchasing a Glock through them. I think this isnt the right way to run a business. They should have fulfilled their orders they had already placed and just not taken any new orders in. Instead I get told to take a walk and Ive wasted over 7 weeks waiting for a handgun that I could have ordered from several other gun shops in Tucson. I chose The Armory because my first experience there was great. I will never go back.
Professional, Friendly, Helpful. Theyll beat any other local shop.
Very informative and very helpful! they know there stuff
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has Law Enforcement and Military pricing, I will be going back.
Not an actual store you can go to. Its locked up tight and a paper sign instructs you to call a number (that doesnt answer) to be let in the front door. Waste of time. Go to Second Amendment, a few hundred yards east on Pima.
