I dont do reviews but I felt compelled to give James 410 a shout out. Its a nice clean shop that has good prices, selection and people. They have good transfer and consignment rates too.. The owner, Gary is an honest and friendly guy and its nice to walk into his shop and not feel like a burden like it can feel at other shops. Definitely a place you should checkout if youre buying, selling or trading.

I have bought guns, ammo, and some accessories at James 410 and each time got great service and advice. I am a newer shooter so this was really appreciated. When my wife went to buy me a surprise Christmas present of a single action revolver, they gave her plenty of time and attention and made sure she got the right gun and ammo and felt really good about the experience.

Ive known Gary since pretty much when he started his business out of his garage. Ive never had a bad experience and Ive had plenty of firearms come to him for FFL transfer (also picked up several he had for sale or on consignment). Ive also sold firearms on consignment through his shop - always the BEST experience. Gary also does a great job taking care of military/vets/first responders, sometimes waiving transfer fees or having other methods of support. I have bought a few firearms from James 410 in the past. I would have went 5 stars.I called their store a few months back, looking for a particular handgun, and their sales rep that I spoke to told me they did have any in stock, which I understood completely, but not seem to care move forward on any alternatives they may have in stock. Many gun sellers have an attitude with take or leave it. Gary the owner has taking care of me in the past, and has gone over and beyond to help me, and educate me. Unfortunately I was not able to speak with him. Hopefully the was a one off experience with sales associate.

I have made purchases and have done training through James 410. I have found them excellent at giving advice and patient helping someone who is unfamiliar with firearms. I feel comfortable asking questions and they give me detailed, simple answers. They are the first place I go whenI need assistance.

Gary and his crew run a tight ship here. My first experience at James 410 was a FFL transfer from an online purchase. Great communication and thorough service from start to finish. Their rates are very reasonable and the store is well stocked with popular guns, great quality accessories and no pandemic price gouging like many other places in town. Ive been doing business here for 5+ years. The Owner is an awesome guy, if he doesnt have it, he will work hard to get it for you. Everything is still a bit hard to find with all the shortages but James 410 seems to keep the shelves stocked even the ammo, and thats saying something. He will continue to get my business, as well as my referrals.

Overall this is one of my favorite gun stores in Tucson. Really great inventory and a staff that appears to care about finding you the perfect gun.

Its hard to find a business of any kind any more that practices the principles of customer satisfaction, fairness, and integrity. This is one!Try them! 21 years in military and law enforcement special operations and this is the best gun store and owner I have yet to encounter. Simple and candid. James 410 runs a clean and well stocked shop with a large diversity of weapons and a very knowledgeable staff. Quite often the the staff at a gun store come across condescending or arrogant and this can discourage new gun owners. This is not an issue at James 410. Though the owners and staff are quite knowledgeable they obviously care about how each customer feels and values the relationship. No wannabees here, no hard core political aspirations, just hard working folks who know their stuff. Thank you!

At first I left a two star review because of the experience I had trying to purchase a gun and I had a change of heart and changed it to a five star earlier in the morning well I am changing it to a one star because of the owner and his ridiculous ways. Unfortunately for him he doesnt realize the business I will ensure he doesnt get moving forward, one thing about our great city of Tucson is its a small town and the word gets around quickly. James 410 is a blue print for other gun stores that want to be successful. I was impressed with their customer service, selection and options (coatings etc.). So impressed in fact that I now order my guns through them and have them shipped versus local dealers. Their pricing is more than fair and their reputation will undoubtedly grow as will their clientele.

My experience with this business has been A +The owners are down to earth friendly professionals. Gary is great guy with lots of knowledge of guns. The shop itself is classy, clean and well organized . When I first walked in my first thought was “ This is a very nice shop and everything is laid out so nicely, I think they’re probably going to be more expensive than everyone else”. Boy was I wrong! They’re guns and ammo were less than all the other shops I’d checked out. I learned so much about the different kinds of guns from Gary. The people are the most unhelpful the could be possible could care less if they help you out or not. Drove 70 miles to buy rifle, scope and case couldn’t mount scope because they were to busy and didn’t have tools had to be sent to gunsmith. Lousy Service.

It is very hard to get in contact with this place. I have called several times in the past months and no one ever answers the phone. In order to even access this store you have to set up a date and time/ appointment. You can not just walk to this store to browse at their selection/ inventory like any other normal store. When calling this shop at times that it is said to be open expect to make several phone calls that will always be unanswered by staff ( if any). in conclusion this place might as well be closed down so go some place else that actual is open and operating.

You are treated like a VIP every time. No question is a dumb question and they can pretty much find anything you want for a veey good price.

I am not a happy customer and have not been treated well by Gary. Right before I purchased a brand new AR15 from him as a Christms gift for my son I asked if he would stand behind the sale of the gun and he said absolutly. If there was any problem with the gun, any at all short of him not liking the appearance, he would take it back and exchange it.The problem is that the gun has jammed up both times that my son took it out to shoot it. I called Gary a week after Christmas to tell him of the problem and he said I would have to send it back to the manufacturer and it was up to me to contact them and handle everything. This is NOT customer service and certainly not considered standing behind your product that you sell. In a second attempt on my part to fix the problem, I asked him to stand by his word and take it back and I would pay the difference on another AR that he had. His response to me was that after I sent it back to the manufacturer, and recieved it back from them repaired,if I put it back in the box with all the paperwork, lock, and magazines, he would buy it back for $200 less than what I paid for it. REALLY...??? I dont know these guys personnaly, I dont have an axe to grind with them, as I have not done buisness with them before .Im reading alot of good testimonials from people but it seams no one has had to have them stand behind their word on any type of warranty or return....buyer beware!
