I dont have enough good things to say about this local business. Are you an amateur just learning how to weld? They will take the time to help you figure out your project and keep you coming back with their great service and friendly staff. Everything you want for your project big or small. Need a cool cut out? They have it. And prices are very reasonable!

A Huge pat on the back for Santa Rita Steel. I had a touchy little project which needed some special care. Bill (at the desk) and Dave (in the shop) were both so efficient and professional. My job was done perfectly and at a reasonable cost. Greatly appreciated. And of course, I would be pleased to recommend them for any needs involving metal supply and craftsmanship.

Excellent service. Helpful in figuring out needs. Examples of different thicknesses and styles of metal on hand to look at and decide. Also, awesome cut craft pieces for metal designs for gates, lights etc. My husbands favorite metal stop in town and I find the most polite, helpful and easy going crew of all the places weve shopped for metal.

If you are a fabricator youll love this place. All types of steel products and great service, easy to deal with and fast, unlike some larger suppliers.

Unless you are making a large order dont waste your time. Been there a three times for some simple home projects and I always feel like I am not part of the club therefore I get really bad service. Go to industrial metal supply or Tucson Iron and Metal. They are much more willing to spend time and explain how metal works.

Someone took a good 20 minutes to show me around to decide on the best options for a $75 project. Have been back since. Friendly folks, great service, even for random individuals with smaller orders. Recommend.

These guys are awesome. I contacted Bill on Wednesday 11/20/19 for an order of 48 12 foot corrugated steel sheets. He had the Order delivered to my house for free and his guy was right on time. Also help me unload into my backyard free of charge. Can’t say enough definitely will be a repeat customer.

Getting ready for my first big steel project putting in about 180 feet of metal fence at one of our rental properties, I stopped in a few places around town. The first made me feel I was imposing on them with my amateur questions and I very much got the “move along” vibe. A little bummed I moved on and stopped in at Santa Rita Steel – whole different ball of wax.They have a helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. They actually took me out to the yard and showed me different material options and even some sample fence sections in the back – helping me change my plan a bit and get the correct amount of material ordered up. The first fence project was a hit with both the neighbors and our tenants and I’m now on my 3rd fence – death to rotting wooden fences! I’ll always use Santa Rita Steel for my material.

I needed some .063 aluminum diamond plate for the 3rd time in as many months. While at the counter an employee showed me that the $137 I paid 2 months ago was increased to $187 per sheet due to tariffs. Thinking I had no choice I bought 4 sheets at $187 each. When I realized I needed 3 additional sheets I had to call around to find more. Well I not only found more I also learned that tariffs on aluminum had not even begun yet. I purchased 3 additional sheets of. 063 aluminum diamond plate for $137 each from Industrial Metal Supply. I feel that Santa Rita Steel lied to me about tariffs to make $200 more on the sale.

I have been going to Santa Rita Steel for over 20 years. Ive seen them grow from a little old house with some metal stacked up in the back yard it to a large warehouse and manufacturing/ fabrication facility. This doesnt happen because of pour business practices. This happens by being kind and patient with the do-it-yourselfers. It seems like the guys behind the counter have been there forever. That only happens when employees are treated fair and are considered members of the family. The yard guys that come and go over time have always been polite and helpful. I have never had a bad experience at Santa Rita Steel. I would (and do) recommend this business to everyone I know.

Clearly they do not care for the handyman/home hobbyist. They tend to be arrogant and show little patience if youre making a small purchase. The old F*** at the first desk behind the counter is the worst one at customer service. I used to be a frequent visitor to Santa Rita with small purchases usually under $100, but no more. Im taking my business elsewhere. A little courtesy and an occasional smile go a long way.
