Typical Tucson Customer Service...Was super excited when I found a local lumber place in Tucson besides the Big Box guys (Lowe’s and Home Depot). Around $7.60 for a 2x4x8? And no price breaks for quantity?! Was still ready to pay the premium to support local, but the less than interested salesman who acted like I was wasting his time for even calling and inquiring about wood sealed the deal! Off to Home Depot I go! And local businesses wonder why they miss out? Wow the customer a bit, don’t treat them like a disturbance.

Very pleased with my lumber. However, I went in to pay and the office guy had no mask. Did go find one when I said I could not do the transaction without it. Then sent me out to the yard where 2 guys, no masks, were working together without social distance. For good measure, the office guy threw into the conversation that he does not plan to vaccinate.Just unsafe here. Need lumber? Id have it delivered or pass altogether. If enough people get vaccinated, then they might be fine again. No quarrel whatsoever with the lumber. Good quality material that I got today and it was special order, so they know how to do wood just fine. The weakness is sadly one that can kill you, yours, or others in the community. Right now the pandemic is out of control, and this is the stuff that lets it happen.

I called to purchase a lumber package for a new home. The rude salesman (Jeff) told me he wouldn’t sell me anything and basically to get lost. I’ve bought whole house packages from JM in the past, and I’m a licensed contractor. Someday this lumber shortage will be over and you’ll need your customers again. But you won’t have this one.
