Knowledgeable staff. Great bike store. The only bike store youll find with bikes that you want and need. Anthony and Zach were a great help
Great customer service. Fabulous choice of bikes. Ranging from $500.00 - to over $6000.00
Everyone at The Path Bike Shop is amazing. So appreciate the customer care and professionalism. Today Carla and Mike were able to help me surprise my son with a bike and they did a fantastic job. It was a fun moment. Highly recommend The Path for everyone.
These guys are great. Went there today to drop off my wifes Pivot 5.5 bike for tune-up. The bike was a surprise gift. Mike the service tech informed me that it would be 4 weeks before they could schedule the work. But Mike took a quick look at bike and made adjustments to what the bike needed to be able to ride. Mike awesome service! Thank you
Super cool and nice owners. Very much helpful, and they will go beyond to try to please you and get you what you really need. Thank you Sanjay and Kaila
This is a great shop. We drove up from San Diego because they were the only place in the area that had the bike model I wanted for my son in stock. In addition to the bikes (and they have way more in stock right now than other shops), they had a great stock of helmets, shoes, pads and other gear. Ended up getting everything I needed to outfit my 16yo, and some new gear for me. Not just that, but I accidentally left the user manual for the bike on the counter. They called to let me know, and mailed it to me so I didnt have to drive an hour back to get it. Great shop, great service!
Friendly, low-key staff are there to help. Prices are reasonable, quality is good, and the service people are outstanding. Shoutout to Mike Card - one of the best Ive met in 40 years on the bike!
Great service and great pricing. Love it how you can rent before you buy. Super fun Trance +0. Rode almost 200 miles my first week. Now I need to get one for the wife/kid so we can ride together. UPDATE: had to bring my bike in for service and they loaned me another eBike. Such awesome service. I will definitely buy my next bike here
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Took care of the service for us on our mountain bike in no time.
Best service and sales staff out there! Your go to spot for anything man powered two wheels.Edited*I have to give a shout-out to service tech Mike Card! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Fixed my broke free hub issue very quickly!
Called today @ 10:38 am to see if they had end caps for a DT Swiss 350 hub for an XD driver. They said they needed me to bring the wheel in because they need more info. I asked what info they needed and said in a bothered tone, its just better if I brought the wheel in. I then called The Path in Rancho Santa Margarita and was helped instantly. Its not hard to figure out what type of end cap I needed, especially if youre a bike shop and deal with bikes all day
How to turn a repeat customer into a never-customer for life. They put a used ebike for sale with their other new bikes, same sale/info sticker on the fork leg, no other tags or notices. When I went to pay for the bike they then said it was used and there was no warranty - Giant doesnt transfer warranty. Then said they would warranty it for 30 days. This is the worst buying experience I have ever encountered at a bike shop. A total disregard for their customer, the fraudulent offer of a used bike as new, and an unwillingness to assist otherwise. A victim of their own success. Buyer beware.
Always awesome to step into the shop and see everyone, busted saddle, able to get in and they do very quick turn around on simple fixes. Talking with Kim, they did get some stances in but they do sell fast. If you are in need of a bike, give them a call.
I placed an order online from out of state and changed my mind on the bars and stem I wanted. Contacted the path and they were nothing but professional, helpful, and quick. They changed my order to a new set of bars and stem and even cut them to size for me. I call a few times and they were always on top of it. To top it off the items arrived to me within days of talking. I have many local shops close to me and with this kind of service I won’t hesitate to refer and repeat business with the path. If you guys are ever in St George, UT and need a tow on the trails just let me know! A+++
Staff is nice, but slow. If you need a repair done in a week or less, take your bike somewhere else.
UNIQUE! This is a legit high-end LBS(local bike shop) but does NOT give off the bad vibes one may have received at other LBSs. Ive been going to this LBS at the Tustin location for over 20 years, when it was the size of a walk-in closet, and Tani is still the original owner with no pretentiousness at all. The staff will discuss appropriate bikes be it beginner to $12k high racer. Go there! Talk to the staff! You wont be disappointed.
Not bad, not overly helpful though. The guy on the phone did want to go out of his way to help me. He didnt have the tube I needed and when asked if he could suggest where to go he said something about not being on the business of tracking other stores inventory. I wasnt expecting for him to track down a tube for me but he could have offered a option. He just sounded tired and entitled.
Very knowledgeable staff, great selection and family owned and operated. Ive been shopping at The Path for 15 years now. Keep up the great work!
Awesome staff and service. Highly recommend The Path!
Awesome service. Friendly and knowledge employees who are ready to help.
I purchased my bike used, was only 5 weeks old. Decided to take it down to Where it was originally purchased to make sure everything was working smoothly. I thought they would charge because I wasn’t the one who spend the money there but they told me it was free. They will always have my business. I’ll make the 20 minute drive over going to Jax (.2 miles from my house). Thanks guys
It might seem like a pricey bike shop if you’re not used to the cost of quality MTB parts/service, but they always go above and beyond what they’re paid to do on your bike. They’ve got some wizards in the back doing all the servicing; you’ll never be disappointed when you get your bike back. Best bike shop I’ve ever been to and easily deserving of my loyalty.
The people that work here are all riders and are really helpful. I even experienced a kit that just hung out there and helped people because he loved the place. I thought he worked there because he helped my with a bunch of stuff. The place is like an old school bike shop, with goodies all over the walls and stuff to compare when shopping for the right stuff for you. Im get tired of we can order that. I go to a place to see, try on, look at, feel, smell, and this place ticks all those boxes.Go here first, this place is most likely to have what you are looking for.
Stopped by last Friday with a need for my bike tire that would not go on to my wheel. I spoke to John and though he was super busy, he not only fixed my problem but didn’t charge me a nickel. I offered to buy him lunch and he said - no problem, he was glad to help me out.Now I call that Customer Service! Thank you John, expect to see me more when I have other bike needs!
Extremely nice and friendly people there, helped me to find couple missing bolts for my chainring and gave them to me for free. All my experience with them are great, great people great shop, highly recommended.
Id rate this 3.5 stars, but this rating is only in whole numbers. I have been here quite a few times so I think I have a general idea of their servicing and stuff.Pros:This bike shop has a very good selection of high end mountain bikes. I have never bought a bike from them, but I enjoy looking at the stuff they have in stock. Their shop also seems to be very organized and things are easily found. They even have a sale section.Their customer service is also pretty good. They respond pretty reliably to texts. The guy that helped me, Zack, was pretty nice and flexible when it came to canceling parts or changing the work order (before they started working on the bike, Im not sure how flexible they are afterwards).Speaking of flexibility, they are pretty open to returns IMO. I ordered a coil shock from here once, decided it wasnt for me, and returned it with no hassle. In my experience, they typically finish servicing bikes on their expected delivery date (unless the parts they ordered are not in stock).Cons:I typically only like to bring my bike to the shop when I come across an issue I cant fix (I will not bring my bike to a shop to change tires, bleed brakes, or preform 50 hour services). That being said, I havent been too impressed with their bike services.Once, I brought my wheel to be trued as I had obviously, slapped it out of true. When I picked up my bike, my wheel had lost a bit of its wobble and the spokes had been tightened, but the wheel had not been trued to the extent I had hoped.More recently, I had them install the new Rockshox Debon Airspring into my fork, as I had brought my bike in for other matters and thought hey, might as well! The valve was leaking a small bit as I was leaving the bike shop and I thought eh, no biggie, Im not gonna waste their time. I got home, fixed the leak, and pumped my fork back up to pressure. However, I noticed that the fork was not returning to full travel. After some playing around, I discovered that some air had been trapped in the negative chamber of the fork and was pulling it down. I released it, but it still wouldnt go back to full travel. This is when I came to the conclusion that the mechanic had slapped too much grease on the airspring, blocking the air from properly equalizing both chambers. As a result, I will have to pull my fork and airspring apart and clean it up a bit. Not a big deal, but out of a legit bike shop, I would have expected better attention to detail, especially on something like a fork service. I am essentially just repeating the same service I paid them to do at the bike shop, but now at home.Granted, this mishap took place during the coronavirus, so they are probably churning services out at a high rate to keep their customers happy. My friend who got his fox suspension rebuilt here, says they are pretty liberal on their grease even with his bike, but his ended up running just fine. However, one experience I was extremely dissatisfied in was when I was buy a coil shock for my bike. I had done quite a bit of research so I had an idea on what shock and spring rate I wanted. However, I wanted to have one final confirmation on the spring rate I wanted to purchase. I asked one of the employees I am trying to buy a coil, could you help me find a spring rate? I was expected a yea, sure and some questions about the bike I had, as well as a spring calculator being pulled up, but I was met with a Thats not my problem, find it out yourself. I was extremely disgusted and ever since that experience, I avoid going to that man for help in the shop.Final Statement:Most of the employees in their shop are really helpful and kind, with the exception of one. They do fine on basic bike services, like derailleur tuning, tubeless conversions, brake bleeds, the list goes on, but I would be a bit cautious about services that are more complicated. However, they are extremely busy right not and will probably trade some attention to detail for efficiency.
They have alot experience on bikes
Very friendly and helpful. Purchased two bikes there so far, plan to give them all my business.
Very knowledgeable, we chose bikes in five minutes for both kids, very professional
The only thing I can say about this shop is that they have serious bikes and parts. If your serious hardcore rider and looking to upgrade parts. This is a place to go. But for someone that new into biking and still learning I wouldn’t recommend to go here unless you’ve grown knowledge. I’ve noticed that staff here will not take you seriously unless you know your parts very well. I’d say that staff needs to be educated how to talk to their customers rather than judging the book by its cover.
Awesome shop with friendly staff. Its like Candy Land for an MTB enthusiast. I could spend all day there and all of my money 😂
Went to orange Cycle and had an awful experience. Came here and it was 10 times better. Cheaper prices, friendlier staff and a much better service. If you live in OC don’t waste your time at other places, just come here.
My favorite mountain bike store in oc .
I have recently taken in my Specialized Tarmac Pro to get service for some noise I was having. I personally know Mike there from a previous bike shop he worked at and I knew I would going to receive outstanding service. The service was complete in a couple of days and I really appreciate the level of detail and explanation of what was performed and the price was extremely reasonable. Great service all around.
My son got a flat tire on first the front and then the back. While I was able to repair the front tire the back looked a little more than I was willing to take on. So glad I called this place as opposed to the bike shop we purchased the bike from originally. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and they quickly gave us the price and took bike ... 15 minutes later all fixed and the man even offered to adjust my sons seat as well! While we were waiting (the shop seemed busy) all the employees smiled n made sure we had been helped. Another patron had a problem with a product but even though they were busy, I noted the employees were cheerful and willing to find solutions. We will be back for tune ups for our other bikes and new purchases. They even gave us 10% and didn’t try to cross sell like other shops :) Thanks The Bike Path for getting us back to our summer fun!
Good customer service
People are super helpful. Fast service. Labor prices are higher than other bike shops around but not by much and you cant really put a price on good service. This is my go to shop for everything bike related.
I love this bike shop and all of the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Kim got me dialed in with a new bike purchase and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Matt got the bike built up and dialed in all of my settings. I highly recommend this shop for any of your biking needs. If you are looking for a new bike, used bike, parts or service, this is the place!
Had an easy experience fixing my son’s bike today, Mike received me well, and although the shop seems to cater to the more pro crowd, I was not made to feel like an outsider. Repair cost was reasonable. Would use them again for future bicycles needs
If you want a high or mid range bike at a fare price go here. Every time I take my bike to get worked on they call to make sure they tune or fix your bike to your liking. I always end up leaving the bike shop with a perfect tuned bike spend in 100s less then I thought. The best bike shop in southern California. There demo fleet is huge over 150 bikes to choose from...
I was looking for new bikes for the kids and myself and found this store online. After entering we started looking around and one store employe shouted at me across his counter asking what I wanted. His tone of voice was as if I had no business being there and must have entered by mistake. As we started talking the staff was extremely rude and condescending. We all bike on a regular basis, but it seems the staff was annoyed that we didnt know all the technical jargon and that had to make the time and extra effort to explain. Their body language was clear so I had to say thank you and we left.I recommend you only go there if you are a pro-cyclist and know all the model numbers for what you need.
Employees are pretty nice. Prices are a bit steep and wait time was a little long, but the bike knowledge and expertise is great.
One of the worst bike shops Ive visited. Tried visiting twice, thinking the first time was a fluke. The employees are the biggest group of self-serving, stuck up narcissists Ive seen. First time? Asked a simple question, and received a very condescending and sarcastic response. Second time? Stood around for 15 minutes. No one even approached me. As I was leaving, someone asked if I found everything ok. No maam, no I didnt, and I wont be looking further. Fool me once...
Hands down the best bike shop around the Irvine, Orange, Newport, Laguna area. No question. Team there takes care of you and your needs. Won’t go anyplace else!
Very friendly, they let me stay as long as I wanted. An appointment was taken so that I can get my bike serviced. So many bikes to choose from. If you are looking for a bike this is a good place!
Purchased a bike from them almost three years ago, and cracked the frame. They took care of the replacement under full warranty. Every time Ive brought my bike in on a repair theyve been very helpful. The best people working there. They are friendly and really knowledgeable.Highly recommend.
Went there to rent a MTB bike. They have a large selection and great service; they really take the time to ensure it fits correctly !As a tourist coming from Canada, I was very happy to find them ! Good price, great staff!
Best bike shop in So Cal! Team staff super cool. 5 star service and always completed quickly.
I brought my 15 year old mountain bike in because it wasnt shifting right. I was impressed with the prompt service as Raul promptly fixed it, and he also assessed other parts of the bike. Despite having an old bike, I was not pressured to buy a new one. Thank you for the service!!
Great advice given today.
Best mountain bike shop youre going to find. The staff appears to be pretty much all serious riders that are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about helping the customers.if you are going to a mega shop or a national chain then switch as quickly as you can to The Path
Very poor service, very limited parts supply. Inability to expend effort towards there customers.
Mike the lead bike tech is FANTASTIC and super knowledgeable in BOTH road and mountain bike setups! He is very detailed in his workmanship and pride of delivering GREAT tech service!!!
This Bike Shop is Awesome !! Customer Service is off the hook!!!Pricing is more than fair. So glad that I finally found a shop that I can trust.this place has everything!!! Good Honest Helpful etc....etc.... THUMBS UP!! THANKS GUYS AND THANK YOU KIM AS WELL!!!!
Professional service and they know their stuff. Not to mention that their repairs are done in less than a day usually! Great turn around time definitely would recommend this bike shop to anyone.
Berry Berry good
Very helpful but only doing curbside at this time
Best bike shop in Orange County! Knowledgeable friendly staff who love the sport. All the best brands.
Ian did a great job with my bike fit and now I am looking forward to riding without knee and back pain .
We rented three excellent demo bikes for the Catalina Island Grand Fondo race. The bikes performed flawlessly, with no mechanical breakdowns. They shifted smoothly, ran well and we had zero issues. All three bikes were full-suspension, very new and in excellent condition.Megan was very helpful on the phone and had the bikes ready when I came to pick them up. The SPD pedals were ready to go and the front and rear shocks adjusted to each riders weight.Dropping the bikes off was simple and easy. It was Megan again behind the counter and she handled the paperwork quickly. The pricing was very fair. Overall the experience was once excellent.I picked up some new grips and gloves just to say thank you for a positive experience.
My husband and I wanted to buy a set of Linus bikes and found these guys near us that sell them. First, we went to Venice to the Linus show room to try out the different models and put a list together with the custom changes we wanted done. We brought the list to the Path Bikeshop, where the team ordered the frame and parts and put the bikes together. Since we are people without other means of transportation (just arrived in the USA, so no car), they offered to bring the completed bikes to our home (not part of the usual service), so we could try them out for a while. We went back a few times for a few tweaks and later for a first tune-up, at no extra cost. Things like that show that they really do go the extra mile. All the guys (and girl) we met were friendly and helpful, taking the time to help us and keeping us up to date on the order progress.
Fantastic shop with a huge selection of everything. Got 10% off just for it being my first time there, and they were also having a no sales tax sale day! double score.id totally recommend. will be back for future purchases.
Not my normal shop, I wanted to go tubeless today while all other local shops needed a week they took care of me in about 30 minutes. and charged less than all other local shops. Calvin is the one I dealt with and he was very helpful. While my bike was there he also adjusted my breaks and put air in my seat post.
This shop gives new meaning to the words sorely lacking in professionalism. Called before going, to ask regarding assembly charges and turnaround time. Was quoted a price, and told they could assemble bike while I waited. Once I arrived I was given a higher quote, and told it would take a week for my bike to be ready. The person that gave the quote admitted to having made a mistake but the big, blonde, arrogant guy (dont remember his name....just his pompous attitude) did not take accountability for his employees error by honoring the quote and turnaround time given. We went elsewhere for friendly, courteous service at half the price, and my bike was assembled on the spot.
THE PATH IS GREAT PLACE, BOTH STORE ARE A PLEASANT TO SHOP OR JUST TO STOP IN AND TALK BIKES. EVEN WHEN IM HAVING A BAD DAY BIKE WISE AND I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER, THE PATH HAS ALWAYS MADE IT RIGHT. BUT I DO HAVE TO SAY THE TRABUCO CANYON STORE ROCKS.
A very good shop. I travel to OC a fair amount and the Path is my goto shop for bike rentals, both mountain and road. May not be the cheapest place around but that is not the point.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great deals on bikes. Be sure to check out their podcast!
One of best bike shops! A ton of brands, sales/clearances, demo bikes, shop rides, etc. Got hooked up with an earth shattering deal on a bike for more than 50% off!!! One of the best in the business!
They have all the parts you need and all the bikes you want. This ship is more geared towards mountain bikers. Service is great.
Very knowledgeable staff, fantastic parts selection. Pretty much everything you need.
Literally the best bike shop in the oc/LA area, easily one of the best in the country.
Love this shop. They have amazing deals and a large clearance selection for bargan hunters like myself. Staff is helpfull and laid back. If you ride a MTB this shop has everything you need.
Awesome shop!
Best bike shop! People who works there are nice and friendly. Chivo got my fork installed in less than 15mins. Will come back again!
Helpful staff who want to see you out riding more than anything. Nice to have a shop with the selection and knowledge
Looking for a new bike and they have a large selection to look at and test ride. The staff is super friendly and work hard to make sure you leave their happy with or without a bike
Best shop in OC!
Great friendly service!! Awesome store to shop for mountain bikes and mountain bikes gears!
Bought a last years Giant Fathom 1 with a little discount, based on the sales persons comparison with 2018 model. It was not just different color and tires. Stem length, handlebar length, cassette setup were different. Didnt have to spend extra for short stem and 47t sprocket. They lost my trust!
Really helpful staff, and a lot of inventory. I ultimately didnt buy anything only because i was looking for something very specific but looks like a great shop.
Great service great and vary helpful.
Friendly and easy to do business with.
The staff was knowledgable and friendly. I will definitely be back for all my future bike needs.
Nice, personable help. MTBR Heaven,Id definitely will be back.
I thought it was over and would not be able to find anyone to fix the flats due to the 12 & 16 inch wheels. I was wrong, the guys at wiggle fixed it in about 5 minutes for a very good price. Saved the weekend trip.
Buy your bike here if you can get a deal, but then get it serviced elsewhere. Simple service is ok, but anything that requires more specialized expertise should be taken to a shop where experts are.
I am newer to the MTB community and have found stock wise this is my best option. I am unsatisfied with the staffs willingness to help me in the past. My first visit I was looking to buy my first bike. I gave a low price range (i didnt know better) and instead of talking to me about the benefits of aiming higher, they turned there noses on me... with such a huge stock I didnt understand why they wouldnt help me pick and it was too overwelming. I ended up buying my bike elsewhere (and spent a good deal more then my original price range because of helpful staff) because of this negative experience. I feel they really blew a large income oportunity with me and future purchases. That being said, I do find all accessories I need and this is my go to place for them. There is many great options and youll likely find what you need here.
High end customer service, ( Greg, Brandy, Brian & Chivo) parts knowledge and bikes. Ill keep driving from LBC so I get it right the 1st time. Face to face or on the phone; not like some places that arent of the mind to see you again some people dont just drop money, they need to be helped and ask lots of questions, even try it out; The Path gets it! Come in, look around, maybe ride around, eventually as with me there was NOWHERE else to go. Got my custom build and 2 years later theyre still as eager to help as day 1. Not a sold move on, ..who are you mentality. Töni (#spellcheckfail) has developed a world class TEAM of caring, experienced and satisfaction driven folks. Thanks
16 months ago..lol. I stopped here to get help with fixing a bike that was basically a lost cause. I chatted with the tech about the issue. I was handed enough parts and pieces to basically get the job done. The techs generosity basically saved my bike. I had to do some other work by hand plus machine shop labor too, and thats neither here nor there. Anyway. Since then the DBR X2s rear suspension still works great. Anyone who said it couldnt be fixed.. they didnt know what they were talking about. The techs here are really helpful and really knowledgeable. I wish this bike shop was closer to fullerton.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, tons of inventory. Great Prices.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great shop.
This is one of the premier bike shops in southern California. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always able to help.
Great place im glad I found it, my new bike shop!
Love this shop its so hard to find a shop that cares and can help my whole family. I will be buying my next bike and all future bikes from The Path.
Well stocked, they pretty much have everything you need.
