I love my Tyler, TX Gateway Tire & Service Center!!!!!! They are the best! Its like having my children and brothers working on my car! Everyone is so friendly (well, it does take some coffee for some of them to get less grumpy)! They have always gone above and beyond to help me when I go in. Never pushy and always seen to have my best interests as their main concern. And, my car always gets me where I am going when they get done with it! I LOVE MY TYLER, TX GATEWAY TIRE & SERVICE CENTER!!!!!!!

I love supporting a local business and these guys make it very easy. Let me just first start at with when discount tire failed to fix a flat Gateway came to the rescue!!!!! I called Gateway after discount tire told me they could not plug my tire because I put a temporarily plug in so I could take it to be fixed. The tire is just a few months old. Gateway had my tire fixed in less than 20 minutes. They went above my expectations and saved me close to $300 because I bought a new tire from discount the day before. Thank you again, Gateway in Tyler! 5 stars!!!

Seriously ~ every time I come in, these people continue to clear a high bar in service, fairness, price, skill, and overall quality. Today, I came in for a (competitively priced) oil change and their conscientious & thorough inspection uncovered an impossibly small but VERY serious tire wear issue that would be catastrophic at highway speeds (one 3 inch place where the tread began to separate and the cord came through on an otherwise acceptable tire).They consistently make sure my vehicles are roadworthy yet are eager to tell me which issues can wait ‘till next time to be fixed. It’s a family atmosphere and as long as I own vehicles, Gateway will be my “Go-To” service business. Tell Don, Dennis, or Ben I sent you!

The only place in town that can fill tires with nitrogen. But they can only go up to 95psi for a nitrogen fill. Read your tire first to know what your tires require.

These guys are a little pricey but super nice informative- as a matter of fact they warned me about my rear brakes that have been worn down to 10% on my 17 Jetta. End result, I am super happy with their work they did with 2 other shops failed to do. A quick and proper 4 tire balance. Ill definitely come back

This place was absolutely spot on. They fixed my oil leak in under an hour (my leak was pretty bad too). Don and his team also fixed the rattling noise when I hit my accelerator, as well informed me on things I did not even ask about. Would highly recommend this shop! (Grand Cherokee oil leak & sensor resetting).

Edit : Nevermind I looked up the parts with local part shops and either gateway does around a 600% markup per part or they charge around 250 an hour for labor.Pros: Not true - > fair and honest on prices and quick work.Cons: I keep my engine bay spotless and after an oil change there it was a mess.

We have been a customer of Gateway Tire since 2012 and have received nothing short of exceptional service on all of our vehicles.Yesterday we dropped of our vehicle for brake issues. Being it has 67K, I assumed we were looking at $500 or so in charges for the repair based on my research. I was surprised when I got a call that Ford had issued a Service Bulletin on this part and it should be covered under warranty.Gateway not only looked at my vehicle and gave me the update sooner than expected, it was now free of charge.In addition to great service and prices, the lifetime tire rotation is a huge plus that you cannot get at every tire store. It makes oil changes and rotations convenient.Thanks guy!

I called around to quite a few places looking for brake service, and the prices they were quoting me were shockingly high. I was worried I was going to have to shell out WAY more money than I had expected to. I haven’t always had the best experiences with mechanics either, which I’m sure many can relate to.We remembered a friend of ours told us a while back to go see Don at Gateway Tire, so we decided to give them a call. And wow! Best call we ever made! I can now say with 100% confidence that I will never use anyone else for my auto repair needs! I believe the only thing they do not do is transmissions. Great prices and extremely good customer service! They aren’t trying to rip you off like most of these places, and they do quality work! It was ready in no time at all, and of course the brakes have been great ever since! Gateway is the best auto shop in Tyler in my opinion. I’ve told all of my family and friends to use them as well. Very impressed with this company! And I highly recommend you at least give them a call when in need of any repairs. I’m sure glad I did!

Great help good tires and they always seem to find what I need

Brought my car in because the check engine light was on. Code came back that it was my mass air flow sensor. Replaced it. A week later the light came back on. Took it in. Same code. They looked into it and it turns out Nissan posted that it’s a computer glitch, so they refunded my money, and directed me to a dealership to service my computer, and took the hit. That is good customer service. There are many places that would have not done the same.

I am very impressed how they manage their bussiness. Very polite, honest and trustworthy. My daughter lives in Tyler, I am 8 hours away and I can count on the employees of Gateway to conduct their bussiness in a very ethical way. Thanks to you all.

Great service. I always go there to get my tires checked and they are always polite and attentive. I run nitrogen in my tires and they are one of the few places in town for nitrogen. If my tire pressure shows low I can always depend on them to service my tires fast. Ive bought tires from them and they carry my brands at very reasonable prices.

This is my GO-TO place for all my automotive needs. And also where I send my friends and family. Ive been doing business here for like 10 years and they treat me like a friend. They are always honest, fair and most of all DEPENDABLE.Unlike most places that are quick to tell you what they cant do and that they cant fit you in. I call Freddie, Don or Logan and they ask me what time can I bring it and thats that.Even when I try my best to fuss, they just laugh at me and keep the business moving. I would recommend to place to any and everybody, and thats rare these days

Another tire store who wants ALL your personal info just to give you a price...I dont need tires mounted, I dont need anything other than the cost of the tire....too bad, it might have been an easy sale had prices been in the website...Well, I dont need you match the tires to my driving habits ...All I need is prices, I dont need to be up-sold...just wanted four carry out tires with no hassle....you cant provide that online...so, you dont get a sale from me.

Prices are outrageous! I priced the same tires at another gateway store in a city that is 5x smaller than Tyler and they were $300 cheaper for the same tires. Discount tire was $500 cheaper. Will not be buying ANYTHING from them anymore. I called back to make sure the price was right and he assured me that was the lowest price he could do. After posting this review I then received a call back apologizing and explained to me that they do price matching. He had never mentioned that to me the last two phone calls we had. Also, the salesman said he put in labor cost incorrectly nothing about the wrong item number. After quoting me a price that was outrageous I shopped around at other gateway locations and other tire shops, called back to ask why their quote was a $300 higher and he assured me that was the lowest price. Then after I posted a review all of a sudden they figured out the problem, gave me a new quote and now can price match competitors.

This company and the people that work there was a great service to me and my family. Because of Hurricane Harvey we went to Tyler, Tx. and we needed an oil change. My brother lives in Tyler and takes his car to get serviced at Gateway Tire. Do to the impact Harvey had on Corpus, me and my family evacuated. They looked out for us and serviced our car for the long trip back home.

We we hopeful that this place would align our vehicle better than the last...but they didn’t even make sure the tires were inflated before aligning. When discussing prices for tires, I had stated that the price was too high. Logan immediately rolled his eyes. Negotiations ended immediately. Such disrespect. We will be returning to have you realign after we purchase our tires elsewhere.

The manager and associates at Gateway in Tyler, TX have always treated me with utmost courtesy and respect. In the past, we purchased a set of new tires and just recently had the Air Conditioning unit replaced. I would highly recommend Gateway for tires or any of your automotive repairs.

My wife just had a ridiculous experience at Gateway. She waited for a patch for a screw in a tire and observed the tire tech scrounging all through the center console, glove box, and pouches for the allen wrench to take the hub cover off. What kind of tire place cant keep a set of allen wrenches available for custom tire rims? Anyways, she was assured that this is typical, they dig through cars all the time looking for allen wrenches like that. They left old receipts strewn out from going through everything. So if thats what youre looking for go here!

Took my car by for an alignment. I knew the struts were bad. They are so bad the bump stops have been beat clean off. Their mechanic said my struts were fine.

Went above and beyond to serve. Our car has a rare oil filter that they didnt have in stock. They called all around town (without me asking) until they found a place that carried it. All with a great attitude.

I trust Gateway for tires and any other stuff like oil changes, rotation, and if they cant fix your issue they will point you in the right direction to a trustworthy provider.

They never try to sell you something that you dont need and Ive never had an issue with any of the employees. You may wait a while to get your car serviced but its worth it!

I have to get them 4 stars, as they tried to fix my car but got it wrong the first time. They offer not to charge me for their mistake which cost them about $550.00. This was a huge benefit to me and they stood by their word. I only had to spend some extra time waiting. The guys at the front desk were great and the mechanics were honest about their mistake. My other mechanic also missed the same issue, so this baring issue was hard to diognosis.
